hello hi! feeling extra grateful and overwhelmed by the traction that this fic has gotten so far and I wanted to provide you all with some more content. So, as my friend Jonesy will tell you all (and I will send him this post so he sees since he is Not on tumblr) I am not the greatest at creating curated playlists. UMM: ad aprile Plastic Guys, Antonio Belcastro… e tanta house, tra cover e remix

Tra le più recenti tracce firmate UMM, etichetta house leggendaria oggi guidata dal leggendario Gianfranco Bortolotti di Media Records con il supporto del top dj bresciano Gianluca Motta, ecco "Now Or Never" dei Plastic Guys e pure "Love Me Now" di Antonio Belcastro. Entrambe sono uscite ad aprile 2024 e sono tracce house dal sound potente, anzi irresistibile. Piacciono molto anche cover e remix firmati UMM. Il successo di UMM è spesso più internazionale che italiano e va sottolineato che canzoni che hanno dentro altre canzoni oggi piacciono nei locali di tutto il mondo. E non solo. Ecco perché lo stesso Motta ha collaborato con Visnadi per un remix di "Baby I'm Yours" dei 49ers, progetto ideato negli anni '80 proprio da Bortolotti. Questo remix, così come la potente versione house di "Let the Music Play" prodotta da Pain & Rossini e remixata da Enaj, sta ottenendo davvero feedback positivi a livello internazionale. Non è tutto: ha avuto un grande successo anche la versione di "Mas Que Nada" di Samuele Sartini e piace oggi ovunque il remix di "Touch Me" dei soliti 49ers, realizzato da Nicola Zucchi.

Il mondo Media Records / UMM è in ebollizione per cui chi ama la musica dance può aspettarsi bella novità, in ambito discografico e non solo. UMM è una delle più storiche label italiane. UMM sta per Underground Music Movement. Fondata originariamente a Napoli da Flying Records nel 1991, è stata una delle prime label italiane a pubblicare musica house e progressive. Nel 1997 UMM entrò nell'universo Media Records, dov'è tutt'ora, grazie al rilancio 2023-2024 firmato Gianfranco Bortolotti, il creatore di Media Records e Gianluca Motta dj producer con all'attivo tante hit e mille serate, nel ruolo di label manager e coordinatore artistico del progetto.

Tra i classici del catalogo UMM ci sono quelli firmati da miti come i Daft Punk. Nel 1994 UMM pubblicò infatti in Italia un vinile che conteneva due diverse versioni di "The New Wave" e due di "Assault". Tra i primi successi del nuovo corso, ecco la versione di "Mas Que Nada" firmata da Samuele Sartini, supportata da top dj come Fisher e James Hype e pure il remix di "Touch Me" dei 49ers curato da Nicola Zucchi, che sta facendo ballare il mondo nei dj set e nei radioshow di Bob Sinclar.

Gianfranco Bortolotti, da sempre GFB, negli anni '90 ha portato al successo suoi progetti dance nel mondo (Cappella, 49ers, Antico, etc), ha creato il mito dei top dj (Mauro Picotto, Gigi D'Agostino, etc). Prima, questo se lo ricordano in pochi, è stato pure socio di un certo Claudio Cecchetto con la Marton Media, lanciando artisti come Molella, Fargetta e tanti altri. Roba vecchia, dirà qualcuno, sbagliando. Perché GFB ha anche lanciato artisti di successo recentemente, Mr. Rain ed Il Ghost su tutti.
