Penthouse and Pavement - Heaven 17

Made up of former Human League members and named after a fictional band from A Clockwork Orange, Heaven 17 is an interesting band. Their first album was Penthouse and Pavement and it is a fantastic synth pop album that has this sort of tongue in cheek aspect about business. There is a BBC Four documentary named "Synth Brittania" mostly about synth pop of the late 70s and into the 80s and in it are both the members of the Human League as well as the Heaven 17 and in it there is an interesting section where Martyn Ware of Heaven 17 talks about his disdain for yuppies and how they apparently unironically enjoyed Let's All Make a Bomb. My favorite song is (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang.
