We've had a problem with the lights in our living room flickering. First it was just one lamp, then it was three, then it started impacting the primary lamp in that room. Initially it was just a rapid flickering, but earlier today the lamp went out for about thirty seconds.
And apparently at least two of the outlets in my office are on the same breaker, which I realized when my monitor started flickering off and on a couple weeks ago. At first I thought it was a problem with the connection to my laptop, but then my work VoIP phone started going out at the same time as the monitor and I realized that the only reason my computer wasn't also going down was because it's a laptop, and has a battery.
So now I'm setting up a UPS for my office (should have done that ages ago tbh, always plug your computers into a UPS if you can) and dreading calling an electrician.
