30 day GW2 Challenge
Which race was the first one you played with? Believe it or not, it was Charr. I just wanted to play something that was beastly and as grotesque looking as I could make her (and I loved that GW2 didn't make them soft and dainty like most other cowardly MMOs out there that brings me to a bloodthirsty rage). I completely forgot at the time that she actually had the same name as my OC (Mourynn)... I guess the name actually stuck with me since the beginning and that's kind of hilarious (once again a Necro in game, but I did delete her (Charr) and remade her into a Sylvari later on (the one I still have now! I did it instantaneously to reuse her name). Funny enough, I even wound up dressing my weird cat in Mordrem fashion before I even knew what the Mordrem were (it was my first outfit that I chose from one of those choice things, and again I was trying to make her into a gross monsterly mess, and it's also funny bc I apparently sort of followed my OCs colouring scheme). The 2nd race I played was actually Human, and I actually still do have her! (my only non-Sylvari lol) She's just my loot bag hoarder now (since she has the most bag space), so I send her all my goodie bags to open all at once when it reaches near capacity. I get all the fun seretonin from opening it all at once and seeing it all add up via the GW2 In-Session app. OH YEAH I EVEN FOUND BABY PICTURES!!! (I somehow retained old screencaps from 2019 of my weird cat. I thought I lost them between computers, but this must've happened after that lol). SHE'S ONLY 14 LEVELS OLD. A KITTEN!!!!!!

This was also the first instance I learned about there being actual lesbians in the game (that meant a lot to me, you have no idea how long I stared at this and proceeded with googling up more info), and between this part that got me lowkey obsessed with Caithe (upon learning about the Faolain thing, and then going deeper into the rabbit hole about Sylvari culture), as well as my unintentional Mordrem-ifying(?) of my weird cat, I was doomed to become a Sylvari lover in the end xD (also I used to main a Druid on WoW too in the ye olde ancient past, so I mean... it all checks out once you add it up lmao). My old Charr also looked hilarious when put up right beside Kasmeer and I thought it was ridiculous and had to add it here. So edgy, wow (meow?)

I'm in a shippy mood so here are random OC/canon stuff:
Logan calling himself "your pact marshal" to the commander is 10000% the reason I started shipping Luci with him which I guess makes that line more amusing since they quietly got together with absolutely no fanfare when they thought the world was ending one whole episode ago. Things are kinda awkward in IBS because both Luci and Logan care deeply about what Rytlock thinks and obviously for IBS, Rytlock is busy and distracted and probably not the best time to tell him anything (most others figured it out). Luci manages to sit down and have a proper talk with him and they end up as kind of? An emotional polycule? They're all still together by EoD and Luci probably spent the time between the engagement party and What Lies Beneath with her two boyfriends at Southsun
Since Ben was recovering from being Mordrem for basically all of S3 and PoF and the start of S4, he doesn't meet Gorrik till just before Kourna (he arrived in Amnoon with Faren). Gorrik started telling him about Petey and Ben was immediately smitten. Ben has zero inclination to confess given his poor luck in general and by the start of EoD was sort of enjoying a friendly but unspoken rivalry with Taimi for Gorrik's personal time and friendship....they team up when Ankka happens
The horrible one: since Scilla managed to "unite" Tyria under the banner of the Pact and, as the rumors say, has control of some dragons, Joko invited her to visit Elona. Much to the terror of the average person, they struck up a passionate but very "when are they going to stab each other in the back" style of relationship pretty much as soon as they met
Bikki (Isekai Commander) does her best to not crush on Trahearne because she knows what happens to him. She fails badly and it takes her best friend future lover Lily to convince her to try and change the future because what's the worse that could happen when she already knows the worse things and what works out. She's terrified of becoming the Commander she's admired all her life but commits to it from then on and first kisses Trahearne at the party in Fort Trinity. Trahearne had bonded with her prior to this over nerding about Orr together so while he's surprised, he doesn't turn her down

6, 9, 13 for yvette AND lukas :]
6. They're now a heart NPC/part of a string of quests. What does that involve?
Yvette: Heart NPC in Fort Trinity where you help them prep first aid kits, treat the wounded, and mix potions. I don't know how or if this would work but at the start of the heart they're very icy and heckling you to Do It Right in ambient text but as the heart progresses they're nicer to you, with the final little blurb upon completion having them gently thank you for all your help and say how much of a difference you've made. Afterwards, they will greet you when you pass by.
Lukas: A heart NPC in the Vigil HQ where you bring him injured birds and help heal them! He will give you bird facts (whether you want them or not) every time you finish helping a bird.
Alternatively, a post HoT/LWS3 questline that takes you all around Tyria trying to cure his werewolf curse, that eventually takes you to the Norn and consulting with Wolf to help him accept himself + his power to transform.
9. What's an au for them you think could be fun to explore?
The other day I was thinking of a bad ending au for the both of the twins. It revolves around the canon ending of HoT and instead of grieving like normal people the twins start committing atrocities.
Tumblr media
Lukas: Sensing his beloved's death, Lukas, turned into a monster by Mordremoth, fully gives into his grief, rage and animal instinct. He stalks the jungle, a beast forevermore, tearing apart those who dare to trespass on his lover's final resting place.
Yvette: Heartbroken at their twin's fall to madness and haunted by the death of the marshal, Yvette disappears from the Pact without a word, and becomes a bitter, jaded witch living alone in the jungle. They slip back into Nightmare, and capture and torture any (ex)mordrem that make the mistake of crossing their path. If they had to cut down their brother they will cut down all the rest of the dragon's minions-- death would be a mercy, in their mind.
Tumblr media
13. What is the worst/funniest/dumbest article that could be written about them in Tyria's trashiest gossip mag?
Yvette: They love to gossip as much as the next person, but anything concerning their love life they find annoying and intrusive. And gods forbid anyone insult their fashion tastes.
Lukas: Anything about him in a gossip mag is the worst. Please be nice to him. ):

14, 15, 16, 20 for anwen :3
Ooooh! Thanks a lot for these! Some of these turned a little angsty but I hope you will like them still 😅
Enjoy!
14 - Ingrained habits/forces of habit
Tea!!
Tumblr media
She's an absolute, unconditional tea lover! She carries a bag of her favorite melange in her satchels at all times and it is quite rare for her not to brew and offer a cup to her traveling companions.
15 - What it takes to make them cry
Maguuma and her absence from the fleet when it was attacked are very sensitive subjects — as Braham will learn the hard way.
Tumblr media
She knows there was no other way — that her true calling was to Aurene, to defeat the Shadow of Mordremoth and protect the Egg — but she will always wonder what would have been if she had been onboard, if Trahearne had delayed the fleet's departure — just a few hours, to wait for her...
Tumblr media
In the end, it was probably her being delayed, and being there to take leadership of the stranded soldiers, to reunify he Pact in the wake of its shattering defeat, that allowed them to bring the Dragon to its fateful end... And she did everything in her power to save as many lives as she could...
But having people question her goodwill and her motivation in Maguuma is bound to have her crumble into a deep, messy, sobbing anger.
16 - Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’
Survivor's guilt...
Looking back on the people and the friends they have lost, especially during the Campaign of Orr, and being utterly incapable of thinking and meaning 'it should have been me'...
Sieran was her friend, her mentor... and her sacrifice was a heartbreaking, helpless moment... But one she never allowed herself to revisit, to wonder if things could have been different if only Commander Talon had listened to them, of only she had been quicker to light the beacons, if only she... — she cannot bring herself to complete that thought, cannot feel it, cannot mean it... And she loathes herself for the relief she felt when the Island disappeared in the mist, when the ship reached the harbour, when the cold of Lornar's Pass greeted them home, to the safety of the Priory... and for the thought that crossed her mind and never left it, like a brand on her soul, when Meryw told her she was her Wyld-hunt. 'Perhaps it's better this way...'
... And survivor's guilt adjacent.
The dread, the consuming fear of what they would find in this Mordrem internment camp, the helplessness of witnessing Eir's death...
Tumblr media
And this sinking, bitter, poisonous feeling : relief.
It wasn't Trahearne.
20 - What-ifs/Alternate Timelines
Haaa!
What if she became an Elementalist💧 What if she became a Druid 🌱
And now I have my 3 starters ! Fire, water and plant! 😁
Since I've talked at length and have a way too angsty chapter in the waiting for the former, let's talk of the mess of ideas and half-baked plotlines I have and hope for them to fit in some sort of story in the end for the latter 😅
Tumblr media
In this verse, Anwen's everlasting fascination for botany and gardening bloomed into a real vocation. While her brother studied the blade, she perfected her archery and learned to attune to the spirits of nature, calling onto stellar and earthen forces to aid her in battle. During the Battle of Shaemoor, she countered and impeded the assault of the earth elemental on the garrison, thus earning the Seraph enough time to repel the centaurs and as such gained the attention of both the Seraph and the Shining Blade.
During the campaign of Orr, Trahearne and her spend countless hours trying to find the Source of Orr, conjecturing several locations before their expedition in the Temple of Grenth confirmed their musings.
Tumblr media
Perhaps she is not called to arms when the war against Scarlet erupts, and stays in Caer Aval, working on the restoration of Orr.
Perhaps she is less bound by the expectations bequeathed on a knight of Kormir or an unofficial court wizard and as such less held back when — in the aftermath of the world summit, when the dust settles and the Shadow of the Dragon flees — her heartmost desire is to run to Trahearne.
In any timeline, in every universe, he has absolute trust in her, no doubt that she will come for him, turn the tide of war and defeat the dragon.
Tumblr media
But perhaps he counts on her affinity with nature to temper the power of the Dragon, to help him control its wrath, to stand as one and lull it back to sleep.

1, 4, 5, and 21 for anyone you'd like!
Let's go for El beloved <3
Write a basic lowdown of your OC. What's their deal? - So, El's lowdown. He's a sylvari Secondborn, awoken on the tail end of that generation of sylvari. He's always been confrontational and very difficult, but incredibly intelligent, curious and magically talented; as a Wyld Hunt Valiant, he studied under Trahearne, as his Wyld Hunt turned out to be resurrecting the dead, and as an elementalist he studied under one of the unnamed Firstborn. On Traherane's suggestion, he joined the Durmand Priory, one of the first sylvari to do so, and rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Magister-Arcanist. He is the Priory's spokesperson in Pact council, helped defeat Zhaitan. His airship, Vengeance Rising, crashed in Maguuma when Mordremoth took the entire fleet down; he spent most of the campaign lost, wandering and trying to not submit to becoming Mordrem. He made it to the main camp before the last assault, but was too weak to contribute anything and as Trahearne died in the campaign, he felt the itch of his Wyld Hunt. It took him two years to find a spell, related to the human gods, that would revive Trahearne, almost at the cost of El's own life. But they both live and El was given the title of Archon for this. He's since helped take down the rest of the Elder Dragons where Pact's involved and finally killed Mordremoth's last vestiges in this world in Harvest Temple in Cantha. He's just an angry little man <3
(4) Do they have a family or people they view as family? - His mother, the Pale Tree; Trahearne, a close friend/brother/former lover; rest of the Firstborn; Liv, his boyfriend/husband in every sense of the word but literal one <3
(5) Their most favorite map/place in general? - Heart of Maguuma jk Grove and Caledon Forest. It's where he grew up :)
(21) What song or songs do you associate with them? - Are you satisfied - Marina and the Diamonds; Redemption - Besomorph; Little lion man - Mumford and sons; Arsonist's Lullaby - Hozier, to name a few <3

Heart of Thorns! Overall song: Nights of Ecstasy by Acting Lovers.
This song probably hints how now Taimi is 15 years old and has learned more about the achievements of Vivs (and Scarlet is gone, Zojja being her guardian (being more of a parent figure)) he has become her target of learning more. While going through Vivs’ stuff and the computer, and being able to hack in some of his files, she has found out that even if Vivs does have a fair amount of magi mechanical inventions, he leans more to the biological side of research, including mind (psychology) especially the dark side of it… Since dark stuff has been kind of a taboo more or less through the years, it appeared alluring to Taimi as well… Seeing How the Commander seemed to suddenly at times act like he went insane also triggered Taimi. Not to mention doing the more logical deed over the emotional in the end.
Chapter 1: As soon as the Vommander heard about the fleet disaster after the Pact started to approach the area where Mordremoth was believed to be, the giant vines attacked the entire fleet destroying it completely, he rushed to the area with the other group to investigate.
Song: Left in the Dark by Meat Loaf
Taimi couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty sneaking around going through Vivs’ stuff and was a bit Paranoid about if Vivs already knew. Perhaps he was jealous since Taimi was better friends with Braham.
Chapter 2: Torn from the Sky. The Vommander and the group find some Pact soldiers and then goes to try to rescue a few other soldiers that were taken as prisoners. Then they return back to the area where those survivors were, and while fighting the Mordrem, meet with Rytlock again.
Song: Poker Face by Blowsight
Taimi while following the Vommander can’t seem to notice any interest showed in her. Is he hiding it?
Chapter 3: Establishing a Foothold. The Vommander arrives at the main Pact camp to talk with people to know What people are thinking and What is the situation and hears about an Itzel -hyleks, that have a village nearby.
Song: Nights of Ecstasy by Acting Lovers.
Taimi notices Vivs talking and acting a bit more like an army leader. He talks a bit more aggressively and seriously and doesn’t discriminate sylvari just because some of them can’t resist Mordremoth’s will. He seems to have this crazy excited facial expression on his face whenever they faced an enemy. That is a bit admiring…
Chapter 4: The Jungle Provides. The Vommander goes to look for the Itzel hylek village mentioned before since they could be helpful in knowing where the mordrem took their prisoners. They find one itzel hylek fighting the mordrem, so the Vommander's group helps him out and he takes the group to his village. There the Vommander returns the favor by staying to protect the itzel village against the mordrem.
Song: Thank God It's Friday by ICE NINE KILLS
Hmph! The Vommander decided to stay to protect the village, even if in Taimi's opinion it would have been wiser to take the fight to the mordrem. Taimi would have asked Vivs for his reasoning, but then this tough-looking mordrem appeared and seemed to recognize the Vommander. Did Mordremoth see Vivs as a threat? The tough mordrem didn't say anything about the others, and was that a smile on Vivs' face? Did Vivs know that this tough mordrem was coming? Who was that Mordrem anyway?
Chapter 5: In Their Footsteps. The Itzel and Nuhoc hylek scouts help the Vommander's group to track down the prisoners. While going through the jungle, they go from Itzel to Itzel getting information about the prisoners, that may or may not have Destiny's Edge members in it.
Song: Your Muse by Silent Opera.
Taimi can't shake off the feeling of the Vommander acting a bit differently than before. So she just observes and helps while they go. Why is this so intriguing?
Chapter 6: The Vommander's group finds a prison camp that works also as a minion factory. Eir Stegalkin and Faolain were imprisoned here. They fight their way to them and free them, but while they escape Faolain is behaving dumbly.
Song: Half God Half Devil by In This Moment.
Observing the Vommander, it's like he at one point was this helpful caring mind, and then all of sudden he makes this excited crazy smile when they are about to fight the mordrem. Well, his clothes seemed very torn since they entered this part of the jungle. As if his top just suddenly exploded. What was going on with him?
Chapter 7: Prized Possessions. The Vommander's group minus Braham and Rox see a glowy person wandering around and they learn that it is looking for something relating to Glint. It was Caithe with the dragon egg and when the Vommander's group catch up with her, something looking like Faolain attacked her and she dropped it. The Vommander then took the egg and ran away from this Faolain-looking creature and escaped her with the glowy guy's help.
Song: Summertime by Acting Lovers.
Taimi when saw the glowy guy she got the feeling that they might have known something they didn't. Also, the golden structures looked like they had some kind of function to them and she wanted to look closer at them. When they found some Durmand Priorians studying them (and helping them to defend against the Morderm) Taimi suggested to the Vommander that she could stay with them and study the golden structures. The Vommander didn't have anything against that. Or was he just glad to get rid of her for a while? Nah... He must know that studying those structures could turn out to be helpful.
Chapter 8: City of Hope. The Vommander arrived at the city called Tarir. It was the city built to protect the egg, so the Vommander handed off the egg to the Exalted (glowy people) to keep it safe and went through some trials that were created a long time ago. To prove he is really the one worthy of being the Egg Bearer.
Song: Eye of the Thylacine by The Unguided.
Taimi wondered about the Vommander being glad to leave her there. If he was glad he must've been glad just the reason that one of his friends was in less danger than the others. And out of everyone who was a better choice to study and lead the Durmand Priory group than Taimi? Going through his stuff back in Rata Sum did give Taimi the impression that Vivs' mind was a lot more complex than he let on. He did respect the laws of the city but knew very well that the only law that really mattered, in the end, was the law of Eternal Alchemy. The city laws were only to keep order and control in these cities that involved a lot of minds in one area. Anyone outside that system had no responsibility to obey those city rules. Just the law of the Eternal Alchemy. Actions have coincidences. Even small ones. Is that why he helps people so that when the time comes, people can return favors? More people are helping in this Elder Dragon war, the better.
Chapter 9: The Predator's Path. The Vommander was getting back to his group after the egg was safe in Tarir by following the disks Taimi left for the Vommander to find. The disks have hologram recordings telling the Vommander which direction to go.
Song: Kingdom of Love by Acting Lovers.
Taimi hoped that the disks impressed the Vommander.
Chapter 10: Strange Observations. The Vommander found the group but then learned that Taimi has wandered off somewhere, so being concerned about her he goes to find her and does so. Taimi had found a data station that was a mix of Exalted and asuran magitech. With the Vommander's help, Taimi gets it to work and another glowy guy appears. With him explaining the data station, they learn Mordremoth's location and of another asuran city.
Song: Phil by Acting Lovers.
Let the 'Impress the Vommander' -program continue! Observe, Taimi's intellect in getting an old data station to work! Did that work? Is he impressed?? And if it really is another asuran rata, perhaps it offers more opportunities to impress the Vommander.
Chapter 11: Roots of Terror. Canach appears and tells about the Pact lieutenant wanting to talk to him. We head to the camp they have put up, and find out where the Caravan of prisoners went. Braham and the Vommander go look for a Magister that was going to kill a 'monster' that has been capturing them and most likely eating them, and find him, but he was too injured to survive. They also come across some strange giant bugs, before the rest of the group catches up with them. Then they split up; the other one continues to track down the prisoner caravan and the other one goes to check out the Rata Novus.
Song: Ravenlight by Kamelot
A lot of casualties. Has the Vommander healed from the depression that was weighing his mind, or has he forcefully pressed it in deep in his mind, not allowing it to affect his role as a Pact Commander? He was a necromancer, so he may have a way of dealing with death.
Chapter 12: The Way In. The Vommander speaks with one of the Nuhoch hylek, who has information on how to get to the Rata Novus, but it has its own troubles. To help himself, the Vommander has to first help the Nuhoch. He also encounters a scammer Nuhoch, who he then beats the poop out of.
Song: The Eyes of a Child by Tarja Turunen.
Apparently, the Vommander can't turn down help someone with children.
Chapter 13: Buried Insight. Canach, Taimi, the Vommander, and Braham enter the Rata Novus finding Its citizens long dead. Taimi turns on devices that turn on the Novus’ magical system, which attracted the chak, giant magic-eating bugs. With Taimi’s help, they navigate through the Rata and find an asura gate. Now they end up in the smaller room, and on the other side was a giant Hall/ lab, and there there was another door that had a dragon marking on it. They wanted to get there, but the door that lead there did not work and in the Hall, there was a lot of chak to greet them. Taimi had to sacrifice her golem to connect the magical energy to open the door, and then they proceeded to burn all the chak with the light system Rata Novans had put up. Then they go through the dragon door, and Taimi says she can’t go with them without her golem.
Song: In Vain by Within Temptation.
The way Braham behaved reminded Taimi of How differently the two cultures dealt with different things. So it was wiser to turn more to someone who didn’t immediately Smash everything up and wasn’t so emotionally driven, or too sarcastic. Of course, it was understandable why Braham was so eager to go and deal with Faolain -looking creature and Mordremoth. He just lost his mother to them. Asura wasn’t exactly an exception when dealing with loss unless they were completely unable to feel tender feelings. Vividatt being an asura himself made it an easy choice to look for support. This was also a good opportunity to impress the Vommander. Vommander also didn’t treat Taimi like a toddler, but more maturely. Although he was still concerned that Taimi wandered off alone somewhere. Well, Taimi was still officially a progeny, so as long as she was with the group of the Vommander, he was also responsible for her. At least he did let Taimi stay at the Rata by herself. And did Taimi catch the Vommander staring at her and then quickly turning his head when Taimi noticed there before he went out to look for the caravan searchers? XB Did Taimi manage to impress the Vommander? There is a high chance... Too bad Taimi can’t go with the group anymore, but it wasn’t so bad; she got to study whatever the Rata Novans had found out about Elder Dragons so far. Right up Taimi’s alley. It seemed like the Vommander was interested in it as well. He stayed there for a while to look around and mess with the computers.
Chapter 14: Sign Cutting. The Vommander was following the tracks Rox left behind, to catch up with them.
Song: Father/Son by Wovenwar.
At the time Taimi was at the dragon lab alone, she was thinking about what she had found out about the Vommander’s parents. They were very different from Vivs himself. They were dock workers, which may imply that their son somehow got a higher intellect than his parents. Parents and their progeny can be so different from each other. The only things that may be similar are the physical features and behaviors the progeny have learned from their parents. This reminded Taimi that Vivs’ parents died when Vividatt was still a very small toddler. In other words, he was an orphan just like Taimi was, except Vivs didn’t have no one in particular who looked after him. Only some random people from his father’s group at times made sure to feed him. They also made sure he got a basic education. Taimi had Zojja. Vividatt learned the things that were not taught at school by himself or by observing others, most likely.
Chapter: 15: Bitter Harvest. The Vommander’s group gets closer to Zojja and Logan, but the Vommander has to choose who he goes to save first. Since Zojja was Vivs’ mentor, he goes to save Zojja with Marjory and Canach. The rest go save Logan, but when Zojja is being saved, the other group meets trouble on the way, so Vommander and Canach go help them. Caithe joins in, and they save Logan as well, but he’s in a bit worse condition than Zojja for being a bit longer time in the giant seed -prison. Then they run into Faolain -a creature and they go after her. Go up the circling spiral -thingy and see Trahearne being trapped in a tight grip of vines. They fight the Faolain -creature, but after she is defeated. Trahearne gets pulled away by the vines. Vommander’s group goes after him.
Song: Electroheart by Amaranthe
Taimi, while others were dealing with the troubles, still alone in the dragon lab wondered about how Braham and Rytlock shared the same way of dealing with problems. Their passion to fight. While Taimi and the Vommander usually dealt with problems from a wider perspective. Not that the Vommander or Taimi could not fight, but dealing with problems from a more intellectual perspective, rather than attack, smash, and kill, came more naturally to asura. The attack smash and kill did have its times, and it was easier for Braham and Rytlock to use, since they were physically bigger and stronger than Vommander, or Taimi, so as asura they had to use more of their knowledge about weaknesses of the enemy, and even take in consideration environment when fighting. This may explain why the Vommander was leaning more toward the biological side when being interested in science. It made sense. He hardly used golems in a fight, if you didn’t count the minions. But that’s about it. The minions are organic, while the golems were inorganic. Of course, being able to get inside a golem made Taimi one of the physically big and strong... blah blah blah... But what bothered Taimi was that the Vommander had so many inventions he never told anyone about. It was like the Vommander didn’t care about becoming a famous inventor? Or perhaps he thought that these were not worth mentioning? That he was aiming to become the most brilliant mind there is. That he would tell the world about his invention when he happens to invent something great enough worth it? Well, hopefully, Braham finds a good way to deal with his loss. Perhaps if they manage to kill Mordremoth, he will feel a bit more at ease.
Chapter 16: Hearts and Minds. The group finds Trahearne again, but it’s too late for him. Instead, he will give the Vommander one last helpful push, he lets them use his mind to enter Mordremoth’s mind and battle him there. Vommander had to choose who he would take with him, Braham, Caithe, or Canach. He could choose only two. Since Braham lost his mother to Mordremoth, and Caithe her ex-lover, Vommander took them with him. After the fight, Mordremoth takes over Trahearne’s mind, so that to defeat him once and for all the Vommander has to kill Trahearne. And does so.
Song: In the Palm of Your Hands by Leah.
Taimi could feel the ground shaking a bit and thought that they must be close or already fighting the dragon. She wondered if they had found his weakness and what it could have been. And hoped that the group will survive. She also made a promise, that if they survive, she will support the Vommander as much as she could and put all of herself into it. Make sure that the group knew, that if the Vommander was the dolyak that pulled this group forward, she was the one with the rein. The core. The brains of the group. And perhaps, she will make the Vommander be enraptured by her mind.

Gríobhtha — An ex-mordrem guard, far along in his recovery but retaining a few apparently permanent mordrem features. He is very gentle, if unaware of his own strength, and a big lover of all animals. Constantly trying to appear less threatening, as he hates to scare others and longs for a real friendship.

Lasren, ex-mordrem sniper. After he got turned into a mordrem he hunted down and killed his long-time work partner and almost lover who had abandoned him after the crash to save his own hide while Lasren got captured and tortured into submission, and killed many more after that. Physically he turned back to normal after Mordremoth's demise, but mentally he never really recovered from both the betrayal and his own deeds but he hides his guilt, self-loathing and trust issues well under a smooth, charming personality.

The fight was sudden, coming from within, screams from those resisting and sharper ones from those sinking to the ground with wounds in their backs. Confusion of the others lost in not knowing what was going on gave freshly-turned Mordrem the advantage, cutting more of the Pact forces down before they had a chance to even put a hand to their weapons. Friends and lovers now turned to foe, hesitation to strike left more on the floor. Caladbolg could feel Trahearne was sick with grief and guilt as he cut down sibling after sibling. Their lights within the Dream, stained red—not the purple of Nightmare—abruptly shutting off.
Caladbolg too felt the ripping and tearing of each life being torn from the Tree, mourning as it sang in the air of their impending death. It was never in a blade to bring life but to wend one's ending of it. But this was the most reluctant Caladbolg had been in the years of its making. Slower and slower were Trahearne's sweeps of the greatsword, both of them had depleted banks of energy and adrenaline. Now was the turn of desperation, grief, and anger. Yet they too ran out, leaving the pair struggling to give survivors more time to run. Too late Caladbolg realized Trahearne wasn't going to run himself, too late to realize they weren't going down with him.
Seconds before the realization, Caladbolg exerted some of its untapped abilities (maybe even a mimic of the dragon's power) to wrap tendrils of vines around the Firstborn's hands as he threw the blade to the side. It couldn't scream but it was the one thing it wanted to do at this moment, other than somehow attach itself to its wielder's hands. Instead the last few moments of connection were of seeing swarms of those that ten minutes ago had been comrades in arms trading stories rushing the necromancer. Trahearne just standing there with arms spread wide to embrace his former (or were they still?) siblings and eyes closing as Caladbolg fell over the side of the airship.
As the blade fell and the connection dimmed so did its awareness of the world around it. Life itself seemed to be no more...until the ground was suddenly there and the view that bloomed into its every awareness was one of corruption. The land around it screamed in rejection of the twisting of life that the dragon brought with it. But it wasn't touching the thorn blade, wasn't aware, the focus seemed to be up above in the far distant tree tops still. Slowly, agonizingly, things returned to what one would assume normal would be, quiet but for the wildlife slowly poking out of hiding again. It was distracting enough, straining for any sign of Trahearne up in the wreckage that the blade didn't notice a Mordrem creeping up on it, its own focus entirely on Caladbolg.
Not that it could do anything as a hand wrapped around its hilt, corruption of the being—it was hard to tell if it had once been Sylvari or was entirely born of the dragon—battering at the few defenses the blade had. Caladbolg was reminded of the helplessness it felt when Waine took possession of it, tearing it away from its first bearer, Riannoc, who lay dying, begging for aid.
All around it all Caladbolg could see was the jungle dragon's evil grin...and darkness fell again...

💗 🎁 for Cassia and Terra?
Tumblr media
So I already answered these for Terra over here!
But for Cassia... here we go!
💗 Relationships? Who are their friends, their family relations, lover(s), foes? What sort of personalities really tick them off and what others do they like? Is there anything that’d ruin a friendship for them?
Cassia is the sprout of Terra and Braham! She’s been pretty glued to them, since she found them - she sprouted in Sun’s Refuge not long after they’d left, and spent quite sometime tracking them down. She’s also very close to her ‘sister’ Aurene - even sleeping on the Dragon’s back on occasion, when Aurene feels like existing in The Eye.
She’s a bit young for lovers - probably mentally around 14? - but she’s made friends with another sprout, @resonatingferns Llyr! She hasn’t had any friends yet, so she was... maybe too excited when they met.
Cassia is a very happy-go-lucky kid, but there’s been times when she’s overheard whispers - mordrem, dragonspawn, abomination - and that hurts. So she avoids people that whisper mean things, pretty much.
🎁 What would be the perfect gift to buy your OC? What would be the worst gift? Are they themselves any good at gifting things or are they really indecisive? How do they wrap their presents?
Oh, man, you could give her pretty much anything and she’ll tackle you in glee. She’s still learning how to socialize without being too much for other people, so she hasn’t processed that she shouldn’t just... hug everyone.
She’s still learning - right now she’d probably just give everyone shiny rocks or something for gifts. It’s the thought that counts right?? (Honestly she has an eye for shiny things while travelling so most of them are probably actually really expensive gems)
Ty for asking!!! ♥ ♥
