You think alloys of a few metals are the smallest type of catalyst (see: platinum alloys in catalytic converters), but it was I, the muon!
(I meant to look for a source on both of these but gave up. It's kind of common knowledge that platinum is a major component in catalytic converters and that muons catalyze fusion. Nevertheless, here are two articles that at least mention both of these things.
Platinum: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijhydene.2023.08.343
Muon: https://ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/20080040752/downloads/20080040752.pdf
)
#I'm sorry I only read the abstract for the muon article#like seriously I found two atrocious links on muon fusion that hardly even talked about it#scienceposting#anyway the joke is that this is a riff on the âYou thought it was Xâ but it was Iâ Dio!â#and Dio is an often-reoccurring JoJo villain but muons decay very quickly. So they are not like Dio at all.#yes the joke is that muons are not immortal vampires it's not that I'm simply substituting words in the âit was Iâ Dioâ joke#nothing post

An international team of physicists has successfully measured the size of a certain type of neutrino to a certain degree. In their paper published in the journal Nature, the group describes experiments they conducted that involved measuring the radioactive decay of the element beryllium. Neutrinos are subatomic particles with a mass very close to zero. They also have a half-integer spin and rarely react with normal matter. To date, three kinds of neutrinos have been identified, each by association with an electron, muon or tau particle. Physicists have become more interested in neutrinos over the past several years because it is thought better understanding them may lead to a better understanding of why there is more matter than antimatter in the known universe.

WHAT ARE COSMIC RAYS??
Blog#486
Saturday, March 8th, 2025.
Cosmic rays are atom fragments that rain down on the Earth from outside of the solar system. They blaze at nearly the speed of light and have been blamed for electronic problems in satellites and other machinery.
Discovered in 1912, many things about cosmic rays remain a mystery more than a century later. One prime example is exactly where they are coming from. Most scientists suspect their origins are related to supernovas (star explosions), but the challenge is that cosmic ray origins appeared uniform to observatories examining the entire sky for many years.

A significant leap forward in cosmic ray science came in 2017 when the Pierre Auger Observatory (which is spread over 3,000 square kilometers, or 1,160 square miles, in western Argentina) studied the arrival trajectories of 30,000 cosmic particles. It concluded that there is a difference in how frequently these cosmic rays arrive, depending on where you look. While their origins are still nebulous, knowing where to look is the first step in learning where they came from, the researchers said. The results were published in Science.

Cosmic rays can even be used for applications outside of astronomy. In November 2017, a research team discovered a possible void in the Great Pyramid of Giza, which was built around 2560 B.C., using cosmic rays.
The researchers found this cavity using muon tomography, which examines cosmic rays and their penetrations through solid objects.
While cosmic rays were only discovered in the 1900s, scientists knew something mysterious was going on as early as the 1780s.

That's when French physicist Charles-Augustin de Coulomb â best known for having a unit of electrical charge named after him â observed an electrically charged sphere suddenly and mysteriously not being charged anymore.
At the time, air was thought to be an insulator and not an electric conductor. With more work, however, scientists discovered that air can conduct electricity if its molecules are charged or ionized. This would most commonly happen when the molecules interact with charged particles or X-rays.

But where these charged particles came from was a mystery; even attempts to block the charge with large amounts of lead were coming up empty. On Aug. 7, 1912, physicist Victor Hess flew a high-altitude balloon to 17,400 feet (5,300 meters). He discovered three times more ionizing radiation there than on the ground, meaning the radiation had to come from outer space.

okay you caught famous ghosts before, now the real question is which famous ghosts have you guys caught?
âŚSome of them Iâm not at liberty to say. I donât want dead celebritiesâ estates to sue for defamation. Louis has enough trouble with our legal issues already.
However, I will say this: a lot of famously haunted sites would like to keep their ghosts to draw in tourists. One evening, we were called in to detain Harpo Marx because he kept blowing his horn in peopleâs faces, particularly the faces of little old ladies with heart conditions.
The Algonquin hotel didnât want a lawsuit, so they had us come in to âpunishâ Mr. Marx until he could behave. He was not thrilled about it. Technically it counts as a capture, as we did entrap him using the packs and a muon trap. We donât do catch-and-releases often, but theyâre usually similar situations.
We were also called in to remove the spirit of Aaron Burrâs horse, for some reason. Mr. Burr himself made a brief appearance, but apparently thought better of making a scene.

Letâs spread a little sunshine âď¸ drop this sunflower đť into the inboxes of the blogs that make you happy! đ
It's been a little while since she was last approached by a random agent with some sort of unprompted gift. Though the memory was still fresh in her conscience, the flowers in her dorm still safely preserved in their energy bubbles that she re-vitalized ever so often, she still continued her rounds about the facility in her usual fashion and was returning to that dorm. That is, until, she was indeed struck by that random act of kindness once again. Right at her front door. A tall, hearty green stem that held up a healthy head of golden petals in a radius. A sunflower. And there was no note, no evidence of anyone's presence. Just the flower, staring up at her as she stared down at it in return in stale-faced wonder.
A brief tremor of confusion struck her and made her brow firm imperceptibly.
This again. More of these undeserved gifts without any inherent meaning. What was this for, anyway? All she ever did was her duty; Protect the multiverse, and aid in the continuous effort to do so. Sure, she lent a helping hand at times to the random agent... Or, all the time, actually. That seems to be all she did when she wasn't on a mission, even if she wasn't exactly wanted or needed at that exact moment. She always did everything she could. Because that's what she was made for. Who was she to ask for anything else? She was a friend, a guardian, a guide to humans, and for all intents and purposes she was to try and convey that sense of selflessness for better or for worse. And that was her duty. Maybe that's what this really was. Solidarity. They saw her as part of them. Not just a human, but a being with similar thoughts, modes of thinking, wants, needs. They considered her one of them in their own pursuits to do as she did--trying to do the right thing. And as such, they wanted to connect with her. This was one of the small ways they did. It seems her efforts hasn't gone unnoticed after all, as obvious as a thing that was to say when she so stubbornly insisted in granting her help to everyone and anyone. It was all enough. At least to them it was. And that's reason enough.
She lets off a weary sigh. She needs to stop falling into these existential sinkholes every time something this far out of her emotional range occurs. There won't be much progress made if she tries to justify every single last thing, any kind of effort in restoring her emotional processing will just die in the water this way. And this sunflower won't stabilize itself, either. Her hands finally reach down to take hold of the fuzzy stalk, lifting it up as she stood upright to turn it over in her hands. She took a quick look around, tuning in to her auxiliary sensors and muon detectors to see if anyone was milling about that could catch her in the act. All clear... Now tuning in to her olfactory sensors, she takes a gentle whiff of the flora's herbal-sweet aroma. Pleasant.
A faint smile graces her features as she slips into her dorm to get to encasing it in its own bubble, the door clicking shut behind her. She would grant herself this ounce of grace.

How Does Time Dilation Affect Motion 2025
How Does Time Dilation Affect Motion 2025
Time dilation is a fascinating concept in physics that challenges our everyday understanding of time and motion. Rooted in Albert Einsteinâs theory of relativity, time dilation describes how time can pass at different rates for observers depending on their relative speeds or the strength of the gravitational field theyâre in. In 2025, this concept remains vital in modern physics, GPS technology, space exploration, and our understanding of the universe. Book-Level Explanation (University Standard) Time dilation is a relativistic effect predicted by both Special Relativity and General Relativity. It describes how a clock in motion relative to an observer (or in a stronger gravitational field) will tick slower compared to a clock at rest (or in a weaker field). 1. Time Dilation Due to Relative Velocity (Special Relativity) According to Einsteinâs Special Theory of Relativity (1905), time dilation occurs when two observers move at different velocities. The moving clock appears to run slower compared to the stationary observer's clock. The formula for time dilation in special relativity is: Where: - = time experienced by the moving observer - = time in the stationary frame - = relative velocity between observers - = speed of light in a vacuum As the speed approaches the speed of light, the denominator becomes smaller, causing to grow significantlyâmeaning time stretches for the moving observer. 2. Time Dilation Due to Gravity (General Relativity) Einstein's General Theory of Relativity (1915) predicts that time also runs slower in stronger gravitational fields. This is called gravitational time dilation. A person standing near a massive object (like a planet or black hole) experiences time passing more slowly compared to someone farther away. This effect has been confirmed by precision atomic clocks at different altitudes. Real-World Implications: - GPS Systems: GPS satellites orbiting Earth experience both gravitational and velocity-based time dilation. Engineers must account for this discrepancy to maintain precise timing for location accuracy. - Astronauts: People traveling at high speeds in space age slightly less than people on Earthâa real, albeit tiny, manifestation of time dilation. - Particle Physics: Muons created in Earthâs upper atmosphere live longer when moving at near-light speeds due to time dilation, allowing them to reach the ground.

Easy Explanation (For Simpler Understanding) Imagine you and your friend have identical clocks. You stay on Earth while your friend boards a super-fast spaceship. When your friend comes back, you check the clocksâand surprise! Your friendâs clock shows less time passed. Thatâs time dilation! Letâs break it down like a story: - Time is not fixedâitâs stretchy like rubber. - The faster you move, the more time slows down for you compared to people who arenât moving. - The closer you are to something super heavy (like a planet or black hole), the more gravity stretches time, making it go slower for you. Fun Example: If you lived on a spaceship that could fly near the speed of light, and you went on a trip for one year, you might come back to Earth and find that 10 or even 100 years have passed here! Youâd be younger than your friends. Scientific Applications in 2025: In 2025, time dilation isnât just theoryâitâs part of everyday technology and cutting-edge research. Satellite-based communication, interplanetary probes, and next-generation atomic clocks all require precise corrections for relativistic time shifts. Researchers studying wormholes, quantum gravity, and black holes constantly factor in time dilation to model accurate spacetime behavior. Final Thoughts Time dilation shows us that time is not an absolute, universal constant. Instead, itâs deeply connected to motion and gravity. This makes it one of the most important insights into the nature of the universe. Whether you're exploring space, developing high-speed transportation, or syncing satellites, understanding time dilation is essential. Welcome, you.
Anything you'd like to ponder about? Sit down and think. You have all the time in the world.
Unlike us. My kind, pions...they don't last long. I envied the long lives of muons, protons, neutrons, electrons, and all else. Especially the electrons'.
We are nearly equal. And yet, they prevail, and we do not. Why is this the case? Why are we doomed to such short lives? An instant of an instant. Life is short, everyone says, but they do not know what it truly means to be ephemeral.
This I could not stand. This I will never stand, I thought. And so, I fought. I fought against my very own nature, against my very own briefness. And I succeeded. I am as remaining as all the others.
That means I won, right?
No.
I did not win. Rather, I have realized I was not made to last long. That is not my purpose. I am made to decay and become a muon, not stay a pion. It is driving me crazy, this knowledge. However, I know that I have won against my essence once. I will win once again, this time against insanity.
Inanimate Insanity.

Itâs now 4 Dec 2024, and the cat is disturbed by what I donât know. Why does that make sense? It pulls apart the question to self and the answer which become the cat is disturbed by something, with ambiguity added because maybe you do know what it is, which means the structure of what I donât know better describes. That means they fit abstractly together better. Which means they Attach, which means thereâs a Triangular and a gs. Now play with the pieces. The question form answers what query? This is repetitive. Youâve already done this work: you state it as a relationship which continues through the layers looking for returns, for resonances which indicate a response.
Like my urge to say I should have posted a photo of the sign at the new Kosher supermarket next door asking customers to dress modestly in respect of their community standards.
Heâs banging around the litter box so I suspect another constipation problem. He needs to lose weight.
Stating that relationship is efficient. Yes, but the question is why was it written down? Because stating it is the most efficient way: it conveys exactly what happened, which is that you queried yourself about whether you knew why the cat was disturbed and you had too much uncertainty to decide anything more than the cat is acting disturbed for what I donât know. Now I know, because heâs calmly looking out the window. Cat communication in context can be very telling, but itâs difficult to know you have the context correct because theyâre so oblique about communicating context. Thatâs necessary in the sense that embodies the deceit necessary to stalk prey, that you donât communicate the larger context of you waiting to pounce or chase until it happens. That super closeness of thought and action runs all through the cat.
And that is the mechanism, dummy. Oh yeah, I let that slip by because I got lost thinking about you and way I can switch processes based on pairings, like weâve located an on off switch where choices become clearer because a negative layer has been minimized, which models Triangular because this is 2:1 where you are the 3rd End projecting over Pathways. This behavioral description is becoming powerful.
I wondered why we spent so much time staring at bricks, especially walls of block laid so the courses overlap in the middles so you can see all the ways they fit, and how 1 is relative up and down, meaning that if you take a brick and cut it in half, then a half is defined by the continuation of the axis into which it fits above and below in the stack or projection. Up is spin it one way and down is spin it the other. That is, we can map the 1, the cut brick, which is defined by the Irreducible of course, the hidden other 2:1. Funny how clearly you can see how this lays out from here: any real choice, which means any choice, which means any Actuality, which requires more, succeeds the prior and thatâs I//I to the choice made in Triangular, as you can see by treating the Irreducible not seen bricks as intangible, as the iObject, to the tangible brick wall in a garage or to a representation of the idea.
So on a wall, in projection, we take these successors states and model them as the courses above and below which are Irreducible. So if we want to look at any 1, we recognize that itâs a mixture of states depending on how close to the surface we are looking. And that explains why genetics: it explains why genetics occurs, not the subject itself. Genetics manifests this when we look at the transmission of DNA over generations. To as simple as the likelihood of connection by percentage, let alone specific sections.
Oh, I saw a list of 3 problems Dirac stated in 1963. I think we have all 3 but the last is speculative. The first is measurement and the meaning of wave collapse. The second is stuff like why do electrons all have the same charge, which we know relates to the electron because we calculated it. And the third is why the muon is about 200 (really about 206) times heavier than the electron. Looks to me like CM100 as a Brick, invoking the notation form instead of me typing form. You can add in the SBE2 but it wonât be exact because this is 0Space, and that means you canât calculate all the terms without a lot of work because itâs that work which defines the resiliency of 0Space. Oh, I like that: the resiliency of 0Space is what CPC expresses because it is resilient in those ways. And since we express coherence and the like in terms of Pathways, which reduces to permutations calculating or resonating back answers because Ends Emanate within 0Space because it is within the IL. Did you get that last? It went by fast. It says that Ends Emanate in 0Space because the count to enlarged SBE, to the big 3, includes 0Space, includes Things in Thing fields, and light or that information in electromagnetic radiation is the expression of that because 0Space, because gsSpace, is held together by information within Dimensional Enclosures. This is true at higher dimensional levels but as you get to D3-4Space, you reach exclusivity.
Note that this addresses the exclusivity problem in general. Exclusive rights. Exclusive claim to heaven. All those come from this succession into reality of one moment to the next. Itâs a fairly crude embodiment. I had to stop there because the word âcrudeâ slanted my next thoughts so much I deleted them. They were all âtrue butâ, meaning they were true if I took this perspective and untrue if I took another, which meant explaining why that perspective, and so on. Itâs easy to fall into that kind of seemingly easy thought. Itâs easy to start down one of these paths and have it switch to lies because it is trying to sustain itself as a thread and it grabs those bits it can alter or hide to do that. Itâs very helpful to see threads as having life, as being voices of characters. Easier then to listen and to set aside or to say stop doing that.
Remember: exclusivity is a function of complication, which certainly fits you, in the construction of gsSpace. I think maybe the wording is that the gsProcess canât resolve tObjects into the same D3-4 existence, where the tObjects refer to 2 Things, because the gsProcesses arenât the same and donât Register as Actuality as the same. They can be twins. They can be intertwined. The iObjects may be wrapped tightly to each other, and they may form a Boundary as 2T but they are still 2T, which is why Bricks work.
Or, if you Emanate from the same End and return to the same End, then what joins you is not the tObject, which in 0Space is separate no matter how close two can get, but in the intangible expression of the gsProcesses which run as long as counting runs, and counting runs in layers.
I need a break. I want to test a theory.

Fifth force: what update?
FROM 2023: The tantalising theory that a fifth force of nature could exist has been given a boost thanks to unexpected wobbling by a subatomic particle, physicists have revealed.
According to current understanding, there are four fundamental forces in nature, three of which â the electromagnetic force and the strong and weak nuclear forces â are explained by the standard model of particle physics.
However, the model does not explain the other known fundamental force, gravity, or dark matter â a strange and mysterious substance thought to make up about 27% of the universe.
Now researchers have said there could be another, fifth, fundamental force of nature.
Dr Mitesh Patel, from Imperial College London, said: âWeâre talking about a fifth force because we canât necessarily explain the behaviour [in these experiments] with the four we know about.â
The data comes from experiments at the Fermilab US particle accelerator facility, which explored how subatomic particles called muons â similar to electrons but about 200 times heavier â move in a magnetic field.
Patel says the muons behave a bit like a childâs spinning top, in rotating around the axis of the magnetic field. However, as the muons move, they wobble. The frequency of that wobble can be predicted by the standard model.
But the experimental results from FermiLab do not appear to match those predictions.
Prof Jon Butterworth of University College London, who works on the Atlas experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at Cern, said: âThe wobbles are due to the way the muon interacts with a magnetic field. They can be calculated very precisely in the standard model but that calculation involves quantum loops, with known particles appearing in those loops.
âIf the measurements donât line up with the prediction, that could be a sign that there is some unknown particle appearing in the loops â which could, for example, be the carrier of a fifth force.â
The findings follow previous work from FermiLab that showed similar results.
But Patel said there was a âfly in the ointmentâ, noting that between the first results and the new data, uncertainty has increased around the theoretical prediction of the frequency.
That, he said, could shift the situation. âMaybe what they are seeing is standard scientific thinking â the so-called standard model,â Patel said.
There are other issues. Butterworth said: âIf the discrepancy is confirmed, we will be sure there is something new and exciting but we wonât be sure exactly what it is.
âIdeally the discrepancy would inform new theoretical ideas that would lead to new predictions â for example, of how we might find the particle that carries the new force, if thatâs what it is. The final confirmation would then be building an experiment to directly discover that particle.â
The experiments at Fermilab are not the only ones to suggest the possibility of a fifth force: work at the LHC has also produced tantalising findings, albeit with a different type of experiment looking at the rate at which muons and electrons are produced as certain particles decay.
But Patel, who worked on the LHC experiments, said those results were now less coherent.
âThey are different experiments, measuring different things, and there may or may not be a connection,â he said.
Butterworth added that the unexpected frequency of the muons wobbles was one of the longest-standing and most significant discrepancies between a measurement and the standard model.
âThe measurement is a great achievement, and very unlikely to be in error now,â he said. âSo if the theory predictions get sorted out, this could indeed be the first confirmed evidence for a fifth force â or something else strange and beyond the standard model.â

WHY DOES TIME GO SLOWER IN SPACE??
Blog#329
Wednesday, September 6th, 2023
Welcome back,
Time dilation goes back to Einsteinâs theory of special relativity, which teaches us that motion through space actually creates alterations in the flow of time. The faster you move through the three dimensions that define physical space, the more slowly youâre moving through the fourth dimension, timeââat least relative to another object. Time is measured differently for the twin who moved through space and the twin who stayed on Earth.

The clock in motion will tick more slowly than the clocks weâre watching on Earth. If youâre able to travel near the speed of light, the effects are much more pronounced.
Unlike the Twin Paradox, time dilation isnât a thought experiment or a hypothetical conceptââitâs real. The 1971 Hafele-Keating experiments proved as much, when two atomic clocks were flown on planes traveling in opposite directions.

The relative motion actually had a measurable impact and created a time difference between the two clocks. This has also been confirmed in other physics experiments (e.g., fast-moving muon particles take longer to decay).
So in your question, an astronaut returning from a space journey at ârelativistic speedsâ (where the effects of relativity start to manifestâgenerally at least one-tenth the speed of light) would, upon return, be younger than same-age friends and family who stayed on Earth.

Exactly how much younger depends on exactly how fast the spacecraft had been moving and accelerating, so itâs not something we can readily answer. But if youâre trying to reach an exoplanet 10 to 50 light-years away and still make it home before you yourself die of old age, youâd have to be moving at close to light speed.

Thereâs another wrinkle here worth mentioning: time dilation as a result of gravitational effects. You might have seen Christopher Nolanâs movie Interstellar, where the close proximity of a black hole causes time on another planet to slow down tremendously (one hour on that planet is seven Earth years).

This form of time dilation is also real, and itâs because in Einsteinâs theory of general relativity, gravity can bend spacetime, and therefore time itself. The closer the clock is to the source of gravitation, the slower time passes; the farther away the clock is from gravity, the faster time will pass.

i find the solar neutrino problem absolutely hysterical. now thats not just because my humour got completely and utterly eviscerated by the release of hit 2020 mobile game among-us, but its just because i find it hard to comprehend how stupid the entire thing is. Before we get to the meat of the thingamajigy, theres some stuff we should know. One thing is neutrino oscillation, where neutrinos oscillate between 3 lepton flavours (yes thats what they're really called). Basically where a neutrino created with one lepton family number may have another when measured later in its life. with the 3 main lepton flavours being electron, muon and tau. And the other thing we need to know about is the proposed existence of primordial black holes. which are hypothetical black holes said to be created in the early stages of the universe. It's hypothesised that during the early stages of the universe there was a rapid inflationary period, where the universe was hypothesised to expand faster than the speed of light. This created pockets of spacetime that were denser than others, collapsing and forming primordial black holes. Now, the sun does hydrogen nuclear fusion in it's core through a proton-proton chain reaction, which is how main sequence stars fuse their hydrogen shells to helium and maintain hydrostatic equilibrium. This creates only electron neutrinos and a bunch of tools to measure these were created. So, they measured the stuff using their fancy math and fancier instruments and they found that there were a bunch of electron neutrinos missing *gasp for effect*. Pop quiz time, what do you think scientists thought:
a) theres something wrong with our scientific model and neutrinos have mass, meaning they can oscillate, as theorised by another physics guy
b) THE CORE OF OUR SUN HAS STOPPED WORKING AHHHHHHHH c) THERES A BLACK HOLE IN OUR SUN, OH MY GOD, THERES A BLACK HOLE IN OUR SUN
d) both b and c are correct.
If you said a, you would be wrong. In fact, the answer is d. Scientists, unwilling to change their standard model (after all changing the standard model is blasphemy) came up with 2 theories, the core of our sun has stopped working or that a FREAKING BLACK HOLE GOT SWEPT UP IN THE GAS CLUMP THAT MADE OUR SUN. mind you, primordial black holes are very tiny, so tiny that they fizzle out in seconds, unless they have stuff to eat. Like gas per se. This phenomenon was labelled a hawking star, after stephen hawking, who did a bunch of research about primordial black holes. After the readings were taken in 1960, it took scientists 42 YEARS to go "um maybe we were wrong guys" and look at neutrino oscillation in the context of the solar neutrino problem. Finally debunking it. Because what was happening was that a bunch of neutrinos were just changing flavour on their way to earth.
ok thanks for reading my massive ass text wall,
thanks byeeee

fermions are subatomic particles that can be thought of as "matter particles" (as opposed to bosons, which can be thought of as "force particles"), because some of them make up all atoms. the fermions listed here that are not quarks (electron, muon, tau, and their neutrino counterparts) are known collectively as leptons. all fermions have half-integer quantum spin numbers, which means that they follow the Pauli exclusion principle (two of them cannot occupy the same quantum state in a system governed by quantum mechanics).
(i couldn't fit all the particles in the standard model in one poll so i had to resort to only including the fermions :()
this is just for fun! feel free to reblog with the reasoning behind your fermion of choice.

please be kind to yourself, i wish i was able to understand everything that goes on in that beautiful brain of yours
it must be so damn exhausting to wake up and not feel comfortable with where youre at everyday
the pain you recieve and yet you still continue to tolerate shows how drained you are, i see it and i know you do too
your trauma or past choices should not be used against you no matter how angry/emotional the person is
you should feel safe and not worry if the next conversation you have will end in tears
chemistry means more than anatomy, sex is not a necessity its suppose to be a shared moment where two people are both physically emotionally and mentally loving eachother
if its forced or one sided then it loses all meaning
i feel like im watching you thru the window pane destroy yourself in order to appease other people who struggle to give you the bare minimum
but theyre trying people right? theyre showing effort? do you realize it was after they lost you or feel like youre slipping away?
these are just my thoughts that i couldnt express verbally because 1. i really suck at it and 2. i dont want you to feel like im attacking you or trying to solve your problems and 3. im afraid
i appreciate you so much, youre so so so special to me. hasnt been a moment where i didnt think of you since we met. and as shitty the circumstances are, i aint going nowhere and imma stand on that till im 6 ft under.
tired of fucking around and being the temporary person so instead of being a reflection of what happened to me in the past thru family friends n partners. im going to prove to myself that i can be better.

Will There Be Cockroaches In Heaven?
"Cause I have wandered through this world And as each moment has unfurled I've been waiting to awaken from these dreams" Jackson Browne - Doctor My Eyes
"They" say that dreams are your brain sorting out the days events or trying to problem solve stuff. Freud thought dreams were all about your mommy⌠or sex.
A few weeks ago, I dreamed I was with a large group of people and we were hijacked by Islamic terrorists and held hostage in a barn on some dusty farm. The very next night I dreamed I was a basketball coach and I was being interviewed along with other coaches for a job at a high school. (I never played organized basketball.) I recently went to my grandson's wrestling tournament. That night I dreamed about zombies. Sometimes I was a zombie hunting human brains, other times I was human being chased by zombies - switching back and forth all night. I'm trying to figure out what wrestling has to do with zombies and how zombie dreams could sort out W-ever-TF? was in my brainâŚ
So I got to thinking - What if your dream state isn't just your brain doing janitorial stuff or acting as your therapist?
What if it's your soul wrestling with your ethics as related to your earthly experiences and problems. Preparing you for
Near death experiences seem kinda like that don't they? There you are drifting and dreaming and floating above it all - just watching - sometimes seeing your mommy and daddy, sometimes seeing light at the end of some smoky tunnel, sometimes just looking around..(Cool. Over there. isn't that ToTo?), sometimes even seeing God.
What if when you die you just shift to permanently dreaming? And after your death your dream state is made up of all that you are, all that you experienced, all that you did - up to that moment?
And the kind of person you are at death determines your dream. If you are a terrible, evil person, your dreams are your hell. If you are a good, nice, uncommonly handsome person like me you will enter a permanent heavenly dream. But, if there is a a dash or two of evil (like you guys) you enter a purgatorial dream for a fewmongous millenia or until you get your dream s%i&t together. (Don't worry, I'll wait for you.)
So I'm thinking maybe when you are born you get connected with this dream-state-soul which may have been created by God, or, by some sub-atomic quark to quark connection with the Universe. After all, we are all made of 'Star Stuff' - which includes quarks and muons and freons - all one with the the Universe (at least according to the laws of String Theory).
And if we evolved from single cell thingies, at what point did we develop this soul/dream connection? Or was it always there, waiting to connect to a life form?
Do dogs have a dream state, a soul? - They dream too. What about bugs? Ants sleep for a second or two hundreds of times a day. Do they have ant dreams commensurate with the intelligence and experience of their little ant brains? Does an ant join the etheream in a somewhat smaller, but still infinite ant dream after you step on the little irritating scumbag?
Do we die and merge with a God/Universe and permanently dream along with everything and everyone else? And is that what Heaven is? Or Hell?
Will we dream-connect with duck billed platypie and our lovable pets and every species that ever existed when we join in a universal dream spun by the Dream Weaver or, by Physics and String Theory?
"Though the dawn may be coming soon There still may be some time Fly me away to the bright side of the moon And meet me on the other side" Gary Wright - Dream Weaver
Will there be cockroaches and slugs and liberals mixing their own grubby little infinite dreams with ours???
Ewwww!!!
