if this is what gabriel is like with his memory wiped, then is that what he was like originally? did he only get awful after being promoted to archangel?

him avoiding the flood of tomatoes as he walks to az's shop. avoiding a red river aka the apocalypse?

az not calling crowley for any friendly reasons: neither heaven nor hell would have encouraged people to have friends or work together. there is no precedent for "friendship" or comradery. hence why none of them know angels can work together and create more powerful miracles than by themselves. nobody gives anyone gifts in heaven. the first time someone does, it turns gabriel into mush. beelz wonders aloud about praising each other for a job well done in hell, but nobody does that in heaven either. people think everyone else has it better but that's not true, everyone sucks in different ways.

if you watch the scenes with beelz asking if anyone found gabriel yet, it's not glee or anticipation on their face. it's worry. and it's not worry about getting a job done, like an assassin would have. it's worry for someone they care about, like asking after a sick friend.

in the opening credits, there's vegas showgirls with big ostrich feathers, and there's also what looks like either medieval people with the big pointy hats or regular people with party hats. we also see jesus and some guy in blue. i think the mountain at the end might be the mountain where god gives moses the ten commandments? that's a significant event that hasn't come up yet. we saw showgirls, we didn't see any of the other stuff.

the job story is az's story. how much can they do to him and he'll still go back, still praise god? blame himself? blame those who suffer the same fate? how much does he go along with the suffering of others? does he draw a line, and where? if he gives himself an excuse, does he also allow others the same excuse? job goes along right up until they kill his kids, and say they won't be brought back. he only doesn't get in trouble because they all lied to heaven about what happened. so perhaps crowley is gonna get killed off, and everyone is gonna pretend it didn't happen. it'll be az's turn to not kill people and lie.

the other glaring problem posed by jim's entire existence is that....he just obeys. he knows nothing, he takes everything anyone tells him as the word of god. crowley tells him he's evil and to die, he believes him and goes to die. like how muriel behaves, and doesn't recognize that anyone thinks ill of her or is being foul to her....like when metatron calls her "the dim one". when did the original gabriel turn nasty, and why? what was the catalyst?

"looking at where the furniture isn't". i don't think they fully wiped the memory of every demon in hell, but perhaps they wiped some of it, possibly who they used to be/the rank they held. it would explain why crowley didn't intro himself to az as an angel--which would mean heaven also forgot who was who in hell. maybe hell's hierarchy isn't the same as it was? as in, who fell and had the highest rank in heaven isn't who now has high rank in hell. maybe satan wasn't the top angel? or maybe he was, but the rest of the order isn't a direct transfer. this would explain why crowley seems to be so powerful and everyone wants to say they know him, but he doesn't remember them, and he's not one of the top people in hell. maybe satan was just the worst offender against heaven, but not the highest ranking in heaven.

wiping some memories would explain a cover up on the part of heaven, to stop efforts at overthrowing god. maybe muriel was also wiped previously, given that the resulting personality is jim's and she act just like he does. heaven acts like this is something they do a lot. so maybe every angel who started questioning after the fall, rather than kick them out, they wipe them. reset them. so that they behave. because they can't have anyone thinking there's an institutional problem. how many more angels would jump ship if they knew others had?

why doesn't muriel remember az from when they met before? this also tracks with uriel and michael not remembering who metatron is after just doing a whole trial with gabriel days prior. do they all lose their memory every few days? but then how would they remember they're after gabriel? maybe nobody can remember talking to god or metatron for very long after, their faces don't stay in memory, and nobody realizes this?

memory wipes would explain why all the demons are slightly dim. maybe heaven tried multiple memory wipes before the war in heaven. maybe they've been doing it multiple times since, to foil plans.

why can nina and maggie see all the superhuman stuff while no other humans can? we're gonna meet jesus next, so i think these humans are descendants of angels, or of jesus. traditionally there were nephilim. i think they're gonna go with descendant of jesus though.

I suppose I could get a pair of cows for Nina and Maggie, but I don't really need nor want cows (I didn't want goats but I needed to finish the collections and no one ever sold baby goat milk so 🙃) any suggestions otherwise? I was thinking maybe blue chickens eventually?

I also decided to see if I could do the community center year 1 (I did!) and complete the collections year 2 (working on it!! Cooking is all that's left!) which has been a really fun challenge after so many years of playing!! Now if I could just get my hands on 1.6 😆

I recently posted about my crochet Good Omens dolls, and its gotten pretty good reception, so I thought I'd share some other fandom crochet I've made (and one by my sister, she's incredibly talented too!)

Here we've got Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase! These are some of my favorite things I've ever made, but they are no longer in my possession! When I attended the Chalice of the Gods book tour, I didn't get to meet Rick, but handed them off to a staff member who promised to send them to him (I haven't heard anything, but I hope he's gotten them!)

Of course, one of my favorite characters in the Riordanverse, Leo Valdez! The goggles and tool belt were so fun to make freehand, he even has little hammers made from cut up erasers and toothpicks (the life of a broke artist haha)

Coraline! My sister crocheted most of this one for a friend, I was bribed with boba to add rhe hair and face details. Just tagging @neil-gaiman here don't mind me...

My beloved Aziracrow dolls! I just finished these patterns, and they are some of my favorite works ever! Unfortunately I still haven't made Crowley's sunglasses, but I love them all the same! I will be starting work on Muriel, Beez, and Jim (with potential clothing changes to become classic Gabriel and perhaps an ostrich feather coat)!

One of my current projects, a massive tapestry of the Good Omens logo with Aziraphale, Crowley, some books, wine, and plants! The first photo is the eventual goal, the second is my current progress after about 34 hours of work. This thing will be about 2 by 3 feet when its finished, a grand total of 7475 stitches!

I couldn't find pictures and they were gifts for a very close friend, but I also crocheted tapestries of Crowley's snake tattoo and Aziraphale's flaming sword! Here's what the graphs looked like though. They each took about 3 hours with the tapestry front and solid colored backing combined.

Soo to anyone who's made it this far, thank you! I'm just a teenage girl who loves to write a lot of crochet patterns myself and run a small business after school, so every speck of interest makes my day!

On a scale of good to bad, who sings karaoke? Nadia has a silky voice with impeccable vibrato. But she only sings karaoke alone in the bath. Asra has an airy, intimate voice. He’s the worst at karaoke because he doesn’t even get up off the couch. Julian has very limited singing ability, but he will talk sing the whole way through if he has to. He’s great at duets, somehow. Portia has a throaty, powerful voice. She brings the house down with Heart and Bonnie Tyler ballads, even if she squeaks on the high notes. Muriel has a gravelly grumble that he is convinced is useless for singing and if you hand him the microphone he’ll drop it and go stand in the corner. Boy, is he split on this. He remembers the few birthdays Asra threw for him when they were little, but does he even really remember what a birthday is? His s/o will probably tell him on some point that he doesn’t have to do anything big, especially if it makes him uncomfortable, but honestly, Muriel will feel really bad that he can’t offer them something for once. He’ll be inclined to ask others for help but aside from Asra who’s opinion he appreciates the most, and maybe Nadia who can somehow feel into his situation and makes valid points that will help him, he doesn’t like any other ideas. He’ll still feel a little bad when the birthday finally arrives, though he’ll start it off by making breakfast for his s/o, eventually tagging along on their daily shopping spree and visiting everyone, carrying everything they receive on that day for them trying to let them have fun and be free of restrains like grocery bags. Muriel will be so anxious to give them their present, though when they already settled in for the night, he’ll wake them up again - after having prepped himself enough to give them the gift - and then present them with something he made himself, maybe a really special charm or something he whittled for them

Portia

She’s the absolute sweetest on her s/o’s birthday. Did she learn how to bake for her s/o? Definitely. Did she make a crooked, three-tier cake for them? Absolutely. Portia is one of the types to make notes all year around about what her s/o likes and once it’s time for presents she gets all the little necklaces and things they have pointed out to her - of course, some she tells friends and family to buy so they have something the s/o will definitely like too - and leaves in the earliest hours of the morning to get fresh bread and flowers so they can have a lovely breakfast. She doesn’t plan a fancy party, she knows that people will either show up randomly, or visit them at the cottage, and it will definitely be the people her s/o likes too, so she isn’t worried. But she’ll accompany them to a family meeting if they want to go home and also bring the cake which tastes absolutely amazing for the fact that she barely managed to not burn the cakes she made before. All in all, it’s just a very festive, special day for all of them when she’s around

Lucio

Maybe, his s/o would do good with not telling him their birthday. That is if they want to avoid the most lavish, luxurious, already awfully overwhelming birthday they ever had. Every year. He’s topping himself, and no one knows how. There are ostriches on the loose, cakes dripping from the ceiling, somewhere there’s a mime. Whenever there’s a reason to celebrate, Lucio will make sure to absolutely own or ruin this day, the opinion about how well it went really depends on the person asked for it. There is no real reason for him to go out of his way that much, aside maybe, him enjoying setting all of this up and showing off his s/o. They get more clothes and jewels than they could even wear for the next two years, along with - surprisingly - presents they have mentioned to him before. He might be most in love with himself but he does listen to his s/o and after all, there’s a reason he chose for them to be by his side, so he’ll stand his ground and do everything they could even expect him too - and more. So expect long, exhausting festivities, just as big as the celebration of his own birthday. If his s/o doesn’t put down their foot and tell him to stop, he’ll do everything to make the most out of the days he spends partying. It’s fun somewhere but can get a little too much really quick. It’s all the more nice to finally get him to join them for some sleep in their private quarters, resting and finding some peace in all of the excitement, which admittedly, might be more his excitement than his s/o’s
