Tyrian slowly lifts up his tail as he approaches Cyvil, "Your grace, since the holidays are coming up... I decided to get a little something." He spoke up, getting nice and close to her like how he always does. Once he lifts up his tail, there was a mistletoe tied to it and hanging right over their heads. "Oh! A mistletoe! Which means you have to kiss me since we're both standing under it."
@devotedtoscorpions
“Oh!” She gasped, looking up. “...Tyrian I’ll kiss you if you promise to please burn that later. I don’t need that species of plant near my trees!” She will certainly still embrace him, and kiss him though...

Tyrian climbs in through the one of three windows of the tree house, almost tripping and falling while climbing in. But luckily he had regained his balance. Seeing Cyvil over by the nicely laid out bedding that he had fixed up; he approaches her with a smile. "I brought you a small gift, My Lady. I hope you do enjoy it." Revealing from behind his back was a beautiful necklace with a couple of flower charms attached to it. "A beautiful necklace for a beautiful goddess like yourself."
“Tyrian it’s beautiful!”
She’s feeling a lot better and she’s settled into the idea that this weirdo was going to be a follower of hers. She never ASKED for offerings or anything like that. So she never really knew what to DO with them... But...
“I... You didn’t steal this, did you...?”

FINDINGS: I am a Triangle
written by: Cyville Castro
“Belonging is like stepping up on a platform and feeling like you are fully supported,” - Naomi Hattaway
I have recently come across the group I am A Triangle. It is an online community of overseas workers, immigrant families and other displaced peoples who support one another. It is made up of kind and caring members who help with all kinds of problems people come across like job security, hosting events and skill sharing. The community stands for equality, diversity and vulnerability, guided by the premise that every voice matters and every story has a place.
This caught my attention. Vulnerability. It is essential that people feel that they can share their experiences with others not feel judged or unaccepted in any way. This is key to creating genuine belongingness.
The existence of this community and this manifesto validates our concern. It sets a precedent that we can draw from. We are in desperate need of community. How to foster it, to effectively design it into a very fractured society is the challenge.

I stumbled upon it from an article in PsychologyToday.com on belongingness. Belongingness is the source of our self-esteem. Multi-cultural people, more than anyone in my opinion, are in need of a sense of belonging.
In order for individuals to explore and step out of their shell, they need to feel supported and accepted. They need to feel that no matter what silly thing they do, they will never be rejected by their community.
This is important to our project in that we have been too focused on integrating ethnic culture into the mainstream, allowing them to stand out and be loud and proud. But before we can do that, immigrants must first feel that they fit in, that they belong in Vancouver society.
Some people are not comfortable standing out, and it’s understandable considering that their skin, their voice, their mannerisms already make them feel that they stick out like a sore thumb. They prefer to disappear into the background and be a welcome part of the crowd before they can begin to step out and be proud of their heritage.
Of course, everyone is at different places in their lives, and this does not apply to all of our target participants. Not everyone can fit in. This is the point why we decided to start this project in the first place. It’s just something to be aware of and be mindful moving forward.

Ah - so he had forgotten his manners - so attentive to their conversation, the male had entirely forgotten to introduce himself; in the very least his father was unlikely to hear of such an accident. Long had he been taught proper social graces - though it said much of his company for her to not mind entirely - or so her lighthearted response seemed to suggest.
“Cyvel-” He smiles, deciding that offering up only his first name was likely best. In the trials of Ishgard, one was better off not being able to be traced when mingling with outsiders lest they bring shame unto their family and already had the poet bought quite enough of that unto the remainder of his familial brood.
“My apologies for forgetting entirely - t’is not often I find myself in company - - though, how rude of me-” A pause, “May I ask yours in turn?”
“Ahlis will do,” she replied in kind, not questioning further on the matter. While the more prying sort might beg a question delving further into such things as names, titles and family as most Ishgardians were oh-so preoccupied with such things, she was not as such. At least, not outwardly so.
But, who could say? Curiosity could be hard to keep at bay, and she enjoyed entertaining such notions when it came to discovery.
“So! Besides giving patronage to taverns and visiting with adventuresome folk like myself...” Ahlis began, eyeing Cyvil as she did so. “What sort of life do poets as yourself lead? Or is this only a part-time sort of thing?”
