They can guide you through the documentation, filing, and compliance requirements, minimizing the risk of errors or delays.
Tailored Solutions: Every society is unique, with its own set of requirements and challenges. A reputable consultant doesn't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, they assess your specific needs and tailor their services accordingly. Expert Guidance: Beyond the initial registration, managing a society involves ongoing compliance and administration tasks. Harkles and the World Ministerial Conference on the Elimination of Violence Against Children by u/RazMoon
Harkles and the World Ministerial Conference on the Elimination of Violence Against Children I checked out the website of World Ministerial Conference on the Elimination of Violence Against Children. This is a legit conference hosted by Government of Colombia, Government of Sweden, WHO, UNICEF, UN Secretary General’s Special Representative on Ending Violence Against Children and has 193 countries with official involvement.I then pondered WTH are the Harkles doing there? Why would they be allowed in as this isn't the usual pay to play event but a hardcore conference where shit gets done. Then I noticed this bit from one of their puff piece articles:In Colombia, their focus will be the Archewell Foundation’s promotion of safer digital environments before the country hosts the first World Ministerial Conference on the Elimination of Violence Against Children in November.I then perused the FAQ to see if charitable organizations would be attending the conference as well.Apparently on average only one CSO (Civil Society Organization = new term for NGO?) allowed per country.Attendance is by invitation only which applies to both governments and CSOs. An government or CSO can request an invitation. The applicant will then be vetted before an invitation is sent.Below are quote snippets from FAQ page:What is the invitation/registration process for civil society representatives? The co-hosts are committed to the participation of civil society representatives. There will be approximately one space per country available to national civil society organizations. . . .. . . Expressions of interest will be vetted by the organizers, and an invitation will be issued . . .Archwell doesn't qualify as it has to be a national charity organization with a proven track record. We all know that Archwell is a vanity charity used to market the Harkles and has nothing to do with philanthropy. They are trying to get associated by proximity. The Harkles are stalking a legit entity. That is a truly bizarre concept to wrap one's mind around, "stalking an event".They probably will get some SEO hits as well with this latest stunt. They are so delusional as to think that anyone believes their faux philanthropy at this point. post link: https://ift.tt/1X4WZne author: RazMoon submitted: August 14, 2024 at 07:39PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Albania’s Catholic Church on Monday criticised a priest who participated in a private partnership ceremony for a same-sex couple in Tirana at the weekend, saying that “marriage between [people of] the same sex is categorically prohibited”.
“The person in the who, even though he appears as a Catholic clergyman, has no connection with the Catholic Church and represents nothing of us,” Mark Pashkia, a spokesperson for the Church, said.
“Based on the doctrine, tradition and magistrate of the Church, same-sex marriages are not acceptable and categorically prohibited,” he added.
Edlira Mara and Alba Ahmetaj submitted their request for the declaration of marriage at the Office of Civil Status on Friday and media reported that the ceremony was held on Sunday.
Despite their request to the authorities, the ‘marriage’ was unofficial, and has no standing within Albanian law.
“Despite the fact that the marriage was not legal, it was not only the crowning of our love, but also the realisation of an early dream,” Ahmetaj told a press conference on Monday.
Asked by journalists about the use of the City Hall, Ahmetaj clarified: “The City Hall is a public facility available for use by the city’s taxpayers for various events.”
The couple said on Friday in a statement that the request to use the venue was made  “based on our right according to Albanian legislation and according to the requirements on the form of marriage established by the Family Code of the Republic of Albania”.
“Article 53 of our Constitution states that ‘everyone has the right to marry and have a family’. Meanwhile, the Family Code reserves this right only for heterosexual couples, discriminating against any other couple on the basis of sexual orientation and in violation of constitutional guarantees,” they declared.
The most vocal criticism of the ceremony came from former President Ilir Meta, who now leads the small Freedom Party.
Meta made several homophobic remarks on Sunday and Monday, saying the event was part of a “perverted agenda”.
Civil society groups meanwhile called for respect for human rights.
“We live in an open democratic society where the constitution guarantees us equal rights for all. Any reaction beyond the constitution, in my opinion, is a personal, emotional reaction and with or without a homophobic tone does not change the reality that today in Albania, LGBTI people continue to be treated as second-class, unequal citizens,” Altin Hazizaj, executive director of the NGO Children’s Human Rights Centre of Albania, told BIRN.
“Small parties must understand that if they do not work for the most persecuted communities, they are destined to fail and close,” he added.
BIRN has previously reported about the couple’s struggle in the courts to register their children under both their names as parents. As they are both women, this is impossible under current Albanian law.
With only a ‘temporary registration’, the children’s access to a range of public services, including healthcare, is limited.
The country has a long way to go when it comes to attitudes towards the LGBT community, observers have noted.
In 2022, the European Commission said” “In Albanian society, discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBT) persons is still very prevalent, especially as regards access to healthcare, education, justice, employment and housing.”
It noted the absence of legislation recognising civil cohabitation or same-sex marriage and lamented the “physical aggression and hate speech, particularly in social media” facing LGBT Albanians.

Iranian Society to Support Gender Identity Disorder was founded by Maryam Khatoonpour Molkara in 2007.

Greece at the top ten countries for the kids rights? Emm I don't know if watching the news everyday created a negative image about it but I didn't think we would be that high on the list.
Which is good of course if it's true i am just used to the opposite when it comes to Greece xd
Yeah I saw this too and I was a bit like 👀 Let’s see a positive as it might be the last we see for a while.
But actually if you check them one by one, most of them make sense more or less.
Tumblr media
Kids Rights Index Ranking: 6
I don’t know if I would say as high a place as 6 but I do think the state and civilians alike have a high regard for the rights of the kids.
Health ranking: 16
That’s higher than I thought, however it’s more or less true that child hospitals are better than general hospitals and there is full provision and guidance of the parents for vaccination and child healthcare insurance and all that.
Life ranking: 29
This is about mortality under five years of age, maternal mortality and life expectancy at birth. I believe Greece must have actually lowered its stats of this in this very year, I remember reading about incidents.
Education ranking: 1-11
Lol. I mean the only reason this is so high is because it just examines gender inequality in access and duration of education. And this is indeed great in Greece, if anything, girls low-key receive more education and very very few teens ever drop out (basically unheard of for kids). And this is where the list of positives ends lol
Protection ranking: 21
About child labour, adolescence pregnancy and birth registration. Greece could be easily in the top 10-15 in this category, had it not been for the birth registration, as immigrants have a notorious hard time getting it for their kids. This is what makes it drop to 21 imo.
Environment ranking: 48-60
This is about non-discrimination, enabling legislation, respect of children’s views, state civil society cooperation, best interests, best budget for the child. This kinda counterargues what I said in the beginning but well, I could see this be about that place, give or take. I do think there is relative respect of views and most people, even the poorest, sacrifice a lot from themselves to provide the best for their children but I guess poverty affects this marker anyway so it lowers it. Best interests is also something that could lower the general stat as Greek parents have a tendency to think their best interests coincide with those of the child so yeah. It generally makes sense.
KidsRights is a NGO taking its data from the United Nations and has its base in the Netherlands. This research was done in a sample of 193 countries.
I give you all the link if you wanna check the data about your country of interest.

The political institutions of the European Union are in turmoil with a cash-for-favours corruption scandal engulfing the European Parliament with the potential to spread.
Former European Parliament Vice President Eva Kaili is one of four people in detention, charged by Belgian prosecutors with "participation in a criminal organisation, money laundering and corruption."
She has already been booted out of her political parties and affiliations and stripped of her vice presidency, accused of accepting bribes from Qatar.
Gleaming speeches about the Gulf state in the European Parliament, voting in favor of files related to Qatar in committees, on which she didn't sit, and attending numerous unregistered events in the country are the alleged links between Kaili and Doha.
In a statement published online, the Mission of Qatar to the EU called the allegations "baseless and gravely misinformed."
While official details of the scope and depth of the police investigation in Belgium remain scant, the activities of members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and other EU bodies will now come under increased scrutiny.
EU experts are questioning whether the existing anti-corruption measures in place suffice.
"When there is highly complex and entrenched policymaking like there is in the EU, it becomes untransparent, and then it makes it easier to buy influence," Jacob Kirkegaard from the German Marshall Fund told DW News. "You can buy a vice president of the European Parliament for €600k! Are they really that cheap?"
"This is clearly a woman who wasn't afraid of being caught. It indicates that whatever measures and processes the European Parliament has, have no deterrent effect," he said. "Even stupid people, if they were afraid, wouldn't do it.”
Transparency measures
So what measures are in place at the EU?
It has a database, in which NGOs, lobby groups, consultants, charities, and any other organizations wanting to influence lawmaking must register.
All those listed in the Transparency Register are required to declare their budgets, and any donations above €10,000 (ca. $10,545) for NGOs.
Significantly though, Fighting Impunity, the NGO at the heart of the current corruption scandal, is not on the register.
Its president, former Italian MEP Pier Antonio Panzeri, is also in detention. And Eva Kaili's partner Francesco Giorgi works there too. Furthermore, Fighting Impunity shares an office with the Italian non-profit No Peace Without Justice, whose director was also arrested in this case.
"With the loopholes in the system, this was bound to happen," Paul Varakas, president of the Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP), which helps lobbyists apply to the Transparency Register, told DW.
In 2021, the European Parliament refused to apply the principle of "strict conditionality" attached to the Transparency Register, which would have forced them to only meet with registered lobbyists.
Senior officials in the European Commission, the EU's executive arm, are already bound to this principle and only allowed to meet with lobbyists who are listed on the register.
But the MEPS argued that it would infringe on their "freedom of mandate" and rejected moves to force them to disclose all their meetings.
"That's how they [Fighting Impunity] were doing it," said Varakas. "You had an NGO influencing decision-making without having to disclose anything. They were invited by an MEP who didn't have to declare. It was simple for them."
SEAP and other organizations are now saying that while mandatory registration (and disclosure requirements attached to it) might be burdensome for smaller actors, such as NGOs, the pressure on the European Parliament to fall in line on the "conditionality principle" will be immense.
In the wake of the scandal, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has repeated a call for an ethics body to be set up that would oversee all EU institutions.
"We have one with very clear rules internally in the Euroepan Commission and I think it is time to discuss where we could establish this overall for all EU institutions" she said at a press conference in Brussels on Monday.
Diplomatic immunity
MEPS also enjoy diplomatic immunity so that they can carry out their political work without fear of prosecution.
According to a Protocol on privileges and immunities of the EU, they cannot "be subject to any form of inquiry, detention or legal proceedings in respect of opinions expressed or votes cast by them in the performance of their duties."
Immunity is not valid, however, "when a Member is found in the act of committing an offence and shall not prevent the European Parliament from exercising its right to waive the immunity of one of its Members."
If necessary, MEPs do have the right to request their immunity is upheld but the press office of the European Parliament said so far no request of that nature had been made by Eva Kaili.
Prosecuting judges in Belgium have also not asked for the immunity to be lifted.
"If there is no request for immunity to be withdrawn then that suggests that the judge has concluded that the criteria have been met for immunity to no longer apply," said European Parliament spokesperson Jaume Duch in Strasbourg.
In the past, immunity requests have been made in regard to extradition requests. But because the crimes are alleged to have been committed in Belgium, extradition would not apply in this case.
