HAPPY VARENTINES DAY, ANGEL ! I've been facing some tech issues recently, but!! To celebrate Ren's birthday and Valentine's Day, I'll be releasing Day 5 (the Early Access version) for all the Beta Testers in a few days!

just to be completely clear, the amount of military power and political influence Israel has has NOTHING to do with its settlers being Jewish. Israel is a force for American & European interests in the region and they're just doing what America does and allows/encourages its close allies to do.

war crimes aren't considered war crimes when someone America finds useful is doing them. european and american pushback against anyone criticizing Israeli apartheid & genocide is 100% because these crimes are useful to American & European hegemony.

Governments that are deeply antisemitic, like France, aren't suddenly caring about Jewish people. Jewish people, persecuted the world over, don't hold some kind of hegemonic power outside of Israel.

The state of Israel and its attendant brutal treatment of the locals are both incredibly useful to the US, and American hegemony means we're expected to celebrate both.

Be so fucking for real rn, the reason this ceasefire ended isn't that hamas didn't return the hostages, the hostages were supposed to return in the second stage. The reason why the second stage didn't happen is that Bibi refuses to end the war because the second the war ends his illegal attempts to fire members of government would be stopped and his trial would resume in earnest, leading to him going to prison. I cannot believe y'all are this stupid

ok again i haven’t actually seen any of the update yet so sorry if what im talking about has answers already (feel free to tell me! i do not mind spoilers) but ohhgggh i remember my sibling told me flyte and flutter are siblings and with flyte being a holiday toon he like. would also be subject to hibernating right? and my headcanon that flutter was a valentines toon who got permanent status and now no longer hibernates. there’s already the angst of ginger and cosmo being related but one doesn’t get to Exist most of the year, but here, flutter and flyte Both having been holiday toons but then flutter got like. this Privilege. that cosmo always had and ginger didn’t, that flutter Received, because the audience liked her. and flyte didn’t.

I need to talk about this scene and how much it means to me as an autistic person. The things Taash describes are so, so painfully relatable to me. But really what gets me about this scene is Rook's dialogue. To be able to say me too, that I have to mask and imitating what "normal" people do in order to get by? That this is a practiced skill, and sometimes it's hard to employ? I have never, EVER seen that part of myself represented so authentically. I've had this exact conversation with my therapist during my diagnosis process. I've had this conversation with my parents, my siblings, my friends. I know the sting of when the mask slips and people you care about don't like what's underneath.

To be able to play as a character who experiences that, not as a headcanon but as a real conversation I can have in-game? For Rook to be able to connect with someone not in spite of this feeling but because of it? And for Taash to smile and say "you don't have to do that with me"... that just means everything. I'm so grateful for this character.

I honestly don't know how to begin explaining how deeply worrisome the funding freeze is despite it being blocked in court.

Not much news is out there yet. Nobody seems to know what the fuck is happening. It's doing it's job, sowing chaos, fear, and despair.

Already, it's looking like a lot of critical agencies are going to be freezing operations (saw rumblings about possibly the EPA) until their shit can be audited to make sure it complies with this administration's efforts to start morally sanitizing things by first going after any program that supports trans people and reproductive rights.

They're literally bribing federal employees to quit -- saying that if federal employees leave their jobs before Feb. 6, they get 7 months' pay to do so. The loss of staff (and possible FIRING of staff after that date) and their inevitable replacement with people loyal to this administration is going to affect programs like SNAP and Social Security EVEN THOUGH they are exempt from the wider freeze. This is going to cause a lot of problems. This is going to make it easier to go after these programs in the future, by weakening them from within.

Don't give up.

Speak up, make calls, yes your voice matters in red states because PEOPLE THERE RELY HEAVILY ON FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAMS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN EXEMPTED.

Kids, the elderly, the disabled, the unhoused, the sick, NEED YOU to speak up. NOW.

Wanna help trans kids? Push back to make sure this doesn't get worse while you work to get that shit straightened out. They aren't going to be HELPED if their families can't get SNAP because the portal is down or there's no one to process applications, or their housing funding from a small org gets tied up, and they get evicted.

We can affect this. If your calls and protestations can help even ONE local program, like Meals on Wheels, stay secure, you have done something absolutely vital. And make no mistake, we are going to have a LOT of allies on the red side in this. That's why I think we can make a difference and slow things down. Which, yes, is still a victory. Make peace with that, hope for a massive change, be satisfied delaying their efforts.

Learned helplessness needs to go out the window. Take some time to get over the first reaction and get your feet under you. Then move.
