A good while ago, you did ‘Mythology Support’ for WIRED, and you discussed the meaning behind Pandora’s Box (Jar), where you mentioned that you have never been quite sure how to interpret it.

Through years in school studying “ancient knowledge” (that's the direction translating from Danish; I have no idea whether or not that's a subject elsewhere), I have always been led to the understanding that the Gods gave hope as a merciful action. Still, I'm particularly fascinated by the idea that it could be seen as a final cruelty. Maybe it is the cynic in me that is drawn to the gloomier take on the myth, but I seem to find the most sense in that interpretation.

I suppose my question is, are you any closer to which direction you lean in interpretation-wise?

My default these days is to lean in to Natalie Haynes wherever possible.

Hell no we are not letting this OFMD finale distract from that THIS LETTER.

Had a signature from Taika Waititi. I understand the sensitivity here this issue with Taika being Jewish(and that’s not my place as someone that’s Not Jewish or in those regions to condemn him on that perspective’s behalf) but this letter is directly bastardizing the situation.

Now, when there is a major production from a major figure in this platform that did this, is when we can make the most impact. Remember our values, even when those values involve a show that is strengthening the LGBTQ community.

Because this letter tore down the strength of the movement in support of Gaza. There are going to be so many people that saw this letter and take it completely uncritically, unchallenged.

Standing up for our values means sacrificing our interests, holding accountable the things we enjoy.

And also. I don’t want to see ANYONE. Being fucking antisemitic or racist towards Taika here. That is never appropriate and absolutely inexcusable behavior. You should he ashamed if you think that’s okay even after Taika’s actions.

Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group's founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized

by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza. We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this

🇩🇰 Crown Princess Mary of Denmark

“Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess will visit the eastern states of Vanuatu and Fiji as well as Australia with Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen on the 23rd. -28 April 2023.

With the trip, the Crown Princess and the minister will focus on the consequences of climate change in the Pacific region.

She will visit to vanuatu on 23rd -24. April thus takes place shortly after the eastern state was hit with two cyclones and two earthquakes. The Crown Princess will, among other things, participate in field visits to crisis response areas and get the opportunity to meet with players who are managing reconstruction projects in the wake of natural disasters.

The Pacific islands of Vanuatu and Fiji belong to the group of small development easteries that are increasingly experiencing the consequences of global climate change. As a candidate for the UN Security Council, Denmark emphasizes the fact that the small states have a strong voice in global climate negotiations and in matters of international peace and security.

The Pacific Islands also face a range of demographic and developmental challenges, including sexual and reproductive health and rights. This is a brand case for Denmark and an area of focus for the Crown Princess, which since 2010 has been the patronage of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Visiting fiji on the 25th -27 April is partially conducted together with UNFPA executive director Natalie Kanem. Here, the Crown Princess will focus, among other things, on how destruction and evacuations in the wake of climate change cause increased risk of sexual and gender-based violence, and how the health system is working to protect women and girls in vulnerable situations.

On the 28th. April The Crown Princess and Minister will visit Sydney, Australia, where Her Royal Highness will participate in an event with Danish business representatives involved in the green transition in Australia, as well as visit a number of Danish-clad projects related to sustainable construction and transport.”

Alexander Skarsgård and his rumored girlfriend Tuva Novotny appear to have welcomed their first child together after they were spotted enjoying dinner with friends in New York City.

Though their relationship has been kept under wraps, the rumored couple were pictured for the first time together on Monday evening as the 46-year-old Big Little Lies actor carried a newborn baby in his arms while Novotny, 42, pushed a stroller.

DailyMail.com reached out to representatives for both Skarsgård and Novotny who have so far been unavailable for comment.

They appear have recently collaborated together on the iconoclastic Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier's long-awaited third season of his horror series The Kingdom.

In 2011, Amanda Seyfriend confirmed that the two had dated years earlier, and he was rumored to have briefly dated Evan Rachel Wood during their time filming True Blood for HBO.

Kate Bosworth, who costarred with him in a remake of Straw Dogs, reportedly dated him from 2009 to 2011. Most recently, he was reported to have dated the model Alexa Chung from 2015 to 2017.

icr if someone's asked u this before but if u were to choose a cast for ur story from current actors... who would u cast?

Oh this is everything!! No one's asked me this before, and I don't have every character figured out, but I definitely know who I would cast for some of them.

Golitsyn would obviously be played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (who do you think I am). Alyosha would have to be Timothée Chalamet (sorry). I think the young Danish actor Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen would be good for Peter. Katya would be Elle Fanning. Her lover would be Eleanor Tomlinson. Her husband would be Nicholas Hoult (if this were the 90s, he would be Daniel Day-Lewis, but oh well, can't win em all...). Alyosha's mother would be Michelle Dockery, his father would be Hugh Grant, and his grandmother would obviously be Maggie Smith. I would cast Jude Law and Natalie Portman as the Tsar and Tsarina, and Olivia Williams as the Dowager Empress. Alyosha's wife would be Saoirse Ronan (again, if this were the 90s, she would be Winona Ryder). At school, the Major-General would be John Moulder-Brown, and the Colonel would be Ralph Fiennes.
