thinking about how tyler didn't want navigating on the record originally. and about all of the lyrics that didn't make the final cuts of songs on the other albums that got switched out for lyrics with the same meaning with more symbolism and metaphors. and thinking about how navigating has almost no ambiguous wordplay and is one of the most raw songs they've released. and how tyler cried when he sang the bridge live on tour. how it's resonated with so many people across the globe. and maybe he just didn't want it there because it felt too personal. i'm glad he kept it.

I think one of my fave parts of the tøp lore videos is how they’re hinting at TB being a hallucination the whole time in overcompensate/navigating

Like yeah from Clancy’s pov Torchy’s there the whole time right by his side but for the half seconds the camera pans out to someone else’s pov torchy is missing

And in navigating torchy is in front of Clancy the whole time they’re hiking but every once in a while the camera switches and it’s just Clancy behind the banditos and no torchy

Not to mention his reflection is missing in the water

I just really enjoy how detailed they are with their mvs
