The patriarchs of the Bible would have visited places like Ein Avdat in the Negev Desert, Israel, because Israel was a desert travelling nation. Today, enjoy a hike in God’s glorious creation, & enjoy the wonder of an oasis in the desert, and think of the Patriarchs as they searched for water.

This is an Ibex or to be more specific a Nubian Ibex which is a desert dwelling goat found in the mountains of North Africa and the Middle East. I shot this as we were heading back after the sunrise shoot at the Dead Sea. Восточный Махтеш Рамон, один из любимых маршрутов от плато Саароним (רמת סהרונים) к Конусному холму (גבעת חרוט) и дальше по ручью Ардон (נחל ארדון) к ручью Гроттов (נחל נקרות) по загнутому в подкову ка́ньону (פרסת נקרות) к совсем высохшему источнику полумесяцев ( עין סהרונים) ... Около 10 км прекрасных пейзажей пустыни Негев. Небольшая группа в которой каждый может спросить и получить ответ :) Забавные Арабские Тимелии, которые прибежали клянчить еду. Но мы же ответственные, так что кроме портретов птички ничего не получили. Погода выдалась неплохая, прохладный воздух и теплое солнце. Abraham lived at Beersheba & this would have been one of his water sources the underground cistern built by the Canaanites. There is another well outside of the city. It is known as Abraham’s’ Well because he and his descendants used it.

Гостиница миллиона звезд. Кемпинг Некарот Западный, известный как кемпинг на котором собираются любители посмотреть на звезды, южный гребень Махтеш Рамона прикрывает это место от светового загрязнения Мицпе Рамона. Кстати в конце этого месяца веду поход как раз через этот гребень. Кемпинг за 10 минут до заката наполнился людьми, которые делают израильскую тропу, да просто семьи с детьми которые любят 🏕️ устроить весёлый кемпинг с костром на природе. Ночь выдалась светлая, большая луна светит как прожектор, можно ходить без фонарика. Поужинали, попили чай и спать пошли, хах, а на часах только 19:30, после заката температура стремительно падает и начинает дуть ветер, но через пару часов он затихнет. Deserts (Trigger Warning)

.

.

.

We all go through deserts

Times where the vastness of emptiness in front of us seems insurmountable

Impossible

You will not make it

The wound has spread and it is deep and infected

Just sit with the pain

Do not notice it growing into suffering

You will not make it past this

The voice is sweet and sad

It lies

For a time it felt like the only voice you could hear was that poisonous, wretched voice

Not any more

You will make it through

You can cross the vastness and come out the other side

You will experience joy again

And all the other emotions that you hid inside for fear that it would expose the wound

It will come in like a flood to the desert

You cannot believe it is there

How can a flood and a desert be in the same place?

The floods recede

And just like that the moment is gone and you are left standing there

Alone

But changed

All you have to do is run, run out of the desert because it does have an end

Take your pain and care for it so that the suffering will fade away under your tender care

It will end

You will heal

You can heal

You cannot believe it now, but it is true

I am healing

The desert has an end
