During Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Madhavrao Scindia, and Kapil Dev, nine out of ten watches sold in India were HMTs. HMT has produced a record 10 crore pieces since 1961.

[भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज दिवस]: १९४७ साली घटना समिती स्वतंत्र भारताच्या कारभारासाठीचा व्यापक आराखडा तयार करत होती. स्वतंत्र भारताचा झेंडा कसा असावा हा प्रश्नही घटना समितीत चर्चेला आला होता. २४ मार्च रोजी इंंग्रजांनी लवकरच भारत सोडून जाण्याचा आपला निर्णय जाहीर केला. स्वतंंत्र भारताचा ध्वज कसा असावा हे ठरविण्यासाठी तातडीने एक समिती नेमली गेली. त्यात भारतरत्न_बोधिसत्व डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर प्रभृृती होते. त्यांनी ठरवले की काँग्रेसचा ध्वज हाच स्वतंंत्र भारताचा ध्वज म्हणून घोषित करावा, फक्त चरख्याऐवजी अशोकचक्र हे चिह्न ध्वजाच्या मध्यभागी विराजमान व्हावे. २२ जुलै १९४७ रोजी घटना समितीच्या बैठकीत 'तिरंगी ध्वज' भारताचा अधिकृत राष्ट्रीय ध्वज म्हणून स्वीकृत करण्यात आला. त्या संबंधीचा ठराव पंडित जवाहरलालजी नेहरू यांनी मांडला. घटना समितीने २२ जुलैला या ठरावाला मंंजुरी दिली. आणि १५ ऑगस्ट १९४७ रोजी भारताच्या अधिपत्याखालील अधिकृत ध्वज झाले.त्यानंतर भारतीय ध्वज म्हणून ध्वज कायम ठेवण्यात आला. निळ्या रंगाचे अशोक चक्र हे सागराप्रमाणे अथांगता व कालचक्राचे व त्यासोबत बदलत जाणारे जग सूचित करतो. जीवन गतिमान असावे व भारतीयांनी शांततापूर्ण आगेकूच करावी असे धम्मचक्र दर्शविते. मूलतः हे चक्र विश्वशांतीचा संदेश देणार्‍या बौद्ध धर्माचे धम्मचक्र आहे. त्याला ‘अशोकचक्र' या नावाने ओळखले जाते. त्यात भारतीय कला, तत्त्वज्ञान, इतिहास व संस्कृती यांचा सुरेख संगम झालेला दिसतो. ‘धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तनाय' हे घोषवाक्य भारतीय संसद सभापतीच्या स्थानाच्या शिरोभागी लिहिलेले आहे. परदेशांत भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्याची मागणी करताना, भारतात ब्रिटिशांविरोधात आवाज उठवताना आणि प्रत्यक्षात १५ ऑगस्ट १९४७ ला दिल्लीच्या लाल किल्ल्यावर भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्याची ग्वाही देताना भारतीयांनी झेंडा अभिमानाने फडकवला. 🇮🇳 भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वजदिनाच्या आपणास हार्दिक शुभेच्छा 💐🇮🇳 SHARE.
