Life-Saving Air Ambulance Services in Kohima: Bridging the Healthcare Gap
Tumblr media
Kohima, the capital of Nagaland, is a picturesque city nestled in the hills of northeastern India. While it boasts natural beauty and cultural richness, access to advanced medical facilities remains a challenge for many residents, particularly during emergencies. This is where air ambulance services in Kohima come into play, providing a critical solution for patients who require urgent medical care that may not be available locally. Air Ambulance India is at the forefront of offering these essential services, ensuring that patients in Kohima can reach top-tier medical centers quickly and safely.
The Importance of Air Ambulance Services in Kohima
Kohima is located in a geographically challenging region, where road travel can be difficult and time-consuming. In life-threatening medical emergencies, the speed of transport is crucial. The availability of Air Ambulance India in Kohima helps bridge the gap between local healthcare facilities and the specialized care that may be needed. By providing quick access to advanced medical centers, air ambulances increase the chances of survival and recovery for critically ill patients.

2022 - The Second Half!!!
The first half of the year was amazing. In January we shifted to a new place, set up the apartment together, and most important that Shalu and I were spending quality time with one another. We had a few instances where both of us were COVID positive but it was manageable. In April I flew down to Guwahati for a get-together with Rahul, Adi, and Roshan. The trip to Munnar in May was the highlight of them all. It was a romantic trip for us. June came in with multiple good news including my sister having a baby boy and I buying a car for Papa. When I returned from Guwahati, she welcomed me with the most amazing news ever, 'WE WERE PREGNANT'!!! I couldn't thank god enough for blessing me with such a miracle. We celebrated, got her checkup done, and then began the 40 weeks journey of becoming parents. ❤️
The First Trimester (May-June-July)
We got the news on the 22nd of June morning. I was still sleepy and she came up to me with the proof. We hugged each other and thanked god for the beautiful blessing we were showered with. Next few days we were exploring articles and apps for to-be-mothers. We celebrated by going to Timezone and FunCity in Ambience mall on 25th June. On 30th June we went to the airport to see off Faiz and Nagma bhabhi. They were shifting to Germany to begin a new phase of life. They were very happy to hear the news of the baby. July started off with Shanno's birthday celebration. Her friends and our family gathered at Udupi restaurant for dinner. I and Shalu drove on our scooty to the venue. I had to pay very special attention while driving nowadays. Shalini was having her craving period now. She demanded momos and pizza. Momos contain MSG so I avoided it. Watched some YouTube videos and cooked paneer momos at home with wheat flour. They were healthy and tasty as well. In the last week of July, we went to a carnival happening at the Huda ground in sector 29, Gurgaon. My in-laws and their friends from Jasola joined us for the visit. We and the kids enjoyed ourselves a lot.

The Second Trimester (Aug-Sep-Oct)
The first week of August started with yet another trip. Big brother and I went to Nainital to visit several boarding schools best for Subhranshu. We checked out Birla Vidya Niketan and found it very good. In the evening we roamed around the city and visited the Naini lake. Our legs were paining as we walked the school and the markets. After an overnight stay and an adventurous next day, we boarded the train at night for Delhi. From 5th Aug to 8th Aug we celebrated at the office with our colleagues across technology by meeting up and competing in indoor and outdoor games both. Vishal came to stay with us for a few days. Shalini, I, Sonu, and Vishal had a great time together. I got Shalini some silver jewelry to thank her for giving me the good news. Rakshabandhan was celebrated by us with great joy.
It was the 13th of August when we got the news that mom was admitted to Nemcare hospital as she had to take some tests and will be discharged in a couple of days. Things escalated in a couple of days and the news coming in from Guwahati was not good at all. We checked for a good doctor here in Delhi so we can bring mom here for treatment and took a flight to Guwahati with big brother on the 17th Aug evening. We landed and headed straight to the hospital. Looking at mom's condition was really painful. We could not believe she was shifted to ICU and had to be on 24-hour oxygen support on a Bi-PAP machine. Doctors were saying that mom will need to be ventilated but we were not in favor of it as medical facilities in Guwahati are very limited. Finally, we decided to take mom via Train Ambulance to Delhi, a 27-hour-long daunting journey on medical equipment support with a technician who was responsible for the machines and giving medication to her on time. We finally reached Delhi on 23rd Aug and got her admitted to PSRI hospital. She was shifted to ICU and the same night she had to be shifted to the ventilator. I was feeling helpless and shattered while signing the consent form but the carbon content in her body rose to 93% and there was no other way. It was a long night.
For the next 1.5 months, we just waited for her to get better. Everyone came from Guwahati and Di/Jiju also came from Ranchi to check on mother. She was admitted to Neuro-ICU and we had just 15 minutes of meeting time at 12 PM and 6PM. When we used to visit sometimes she was sedated so didn't respond, and other times she asked us to massage her legs since they were paining due to lying on the back for so long. We stayed together in the big brother's house at Jasola since it was closer to the hospital and since father and sister were here. I was unhappy to see Shalini sad and stressed due to the current situation but was helpless. I was asking god, why is he testing us. I imagined I would help Shalini enjoy her pregnancy a lot but things were just not in my control. We celebrated Teej with bhabhi and my sister. Adarsh being there with us was a big joy in that situation. We all loved playing with him and dandle him throughout the day. We celebrated him turning 3 months old on 5th Sep. Most of September I used to travel to the hospital at 11 AM, meet mom for 15 mins and then stay there till 6 PM or go to Jasola for lunch and come back at 6 PM to meet mom again. Looking at her fighting back was amazing. She is the best and the strongest among us. I prayed for her recovery every day. In mid of September, she was tracheostomized, which is an advanced stage of the ventilator. We had to agree with the doctors since there was no option remaining for us. On the other hand, Shalini was having multiple occurrences of vomiting and nausea. I couldn't be of much help but stayed there by her as much as possible. On 30th Sep, we celebrated my birthday at Sonu's place since that day we visited SGMH for some documentation purposes. We celebrated the last day of Navratri at Jasola with the 'kanya bhojan' rasam on 4th October. The doctors said that my mother was better now and that we must shift her to home to avoid the trigger of another infection and slow down the financial stress that we were already facing. Finally, we were able to arrange for the portable ventilator, home ICU setup, and a 24-hour nurse for mom. She was shifted to Gurgaon at our home on the 10th of October. All the arrangements were made for the setup and a round-the-clock nurse was arranged who stayed with us and took care of mom's medicines and daily activities related to a bed-ridden patient. We celebrated Diwali together in Gurgaon and did decorations and Laxmi pooja as well. We were surprised when our sister and Adarsh arrived home to meet mom just after Diwali. It was a very nice moment and everyone was happy.

The Third Trimester (Nov-Dec-Jan)
We celebrated Adarsh's 'annaprassana' on 3rd Nov where he was given food for the first time by Bhaiya bhabhi and us. Sister flew back to Ranchi in the first week of November. We began taking care of mom as now it was just us in the house. Shalini used to visit the hospital daily and I used to pick up and drop her off at the metro station. She had taken up most of the daily chores in the house. She used to prepare her breakfast and lunch in the morning and I just had to prepare the chapatis in the afternoon. Then in the evening, she used to prepare snacks and finally dinner at night. I used to help in between but it was tough to manage between the office, looking after mom, and the daily chores. She has moved in the third trimester now and began experiencing some fatigue. In mid of November, she received a Mom's kit from Reema (our friend) and burst out in tears. It was then I realized that I had not pampered her enough in the last six months. She was a mother and I did not celebrate this enough with her by making her feel special. It was not a good feeling at all. I promised myself that I will try to make her feel better for at least the rest of her pregnancy. I am not sure if I was able to keep up to the promise but I gave my best.
We had to take mom to the doctor every month to get the tracheostomy tube replaced. She had to be put in an ambulance with life support and taken to PSRI hospital where it was done. Once we got a special tube that came with a speaking valve. Using this mom could say a few words at a time. The voice that came out was not the exact one but it was nice to see her speak even a little. She was in recovery mode and doing great but then winter arrived in Delhi NCR. COPD patients always have issues with cold weather. The oxygen requirement went up and walking around the house came to a complete standstill. I arranged for a physiotherapist who would make her do the exercises in the bed itself. This helped keep her limbs and chest muscles in good condition.
At the end of November, we got a piece of very good news that Vishal is getting engaged. It happened on 27th November and we all were part of it. Coincidently, her to-be wife's name was Shalini Sharma and she was a health worker at a Delhi government hospital just like my wife. We tripped multiple times on this thinking that women named "Shalini" are a blessing in our lives and that they change our life for the better.
December started off well and then came our anniversary date. We could not plan anything on that day as we could not leave our parents at home alone. At midnight I gave her the gift I bought for her (iPhone 14). She went crazy after that. The next day in the morning we went to Chattarpur temple for blessings and in the evening her sisters came to Gurgaon and we went to Cafe Aurika in DLF phase 4 for dinner. The rest of December was not noisy. During Christmas time, Sonu prepared a plan to meet up at Connaught Place with us and Vishal and it was just amazing. Really thank Sonu for putting up such a plan.
January was a very good month. A lot of memorable events happened this month. One of those events was Shalini's maternity shoot taken care of by Seema and Anurag on 8th Jan. They did a brilliant job of clicking the pictures with the gorgeous backdrops in Lodhi Garden. I met Rahul at the IGI airport on 13th April since he was traveling from Dubai to India after a vacation with his friends. On 20th Jan, I attended E&IT day in the office and in the evening we all went to Ambience Mall to celebrate Ayush's birthday. On 22nd Jan, Shanno planned Baby Shower on the third floor at our Gurgaon home. I planned the lunch from 'Biriyani Blues'. Also on 28th Jan, Vishal and Shalini got married. I, Sonu, Ankit and Ashish had great fun.
Good news on the way in February. Let's meet in the next blog.

Pressure on PM Modi to intervene as Manipur situation remains fluid
With Opposition parties planning joint protests, Parliament likely to witness disruption today also.
Tumblr media
NEW DELHI/GUWAHATI: With violence in Manipur continuing unabated, the chorus for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention is growing louder. Parliament is likely to witness noisy scenes and disruption on Monday as well, as the Opposition parties have planned joint protests on the situation in Manipur.
While the Opposition has been pressing for a statement from PM Modi in Parliament before a discussion on the issue, the government’s position has been that home minister Amit Shah will speak instead.
On Sunday, civil rights activist Irom Sharmila, who hails from Manipur, urged the prime minister to immediately intervene to address the situation. Describing the incident of strip-and-parade of two tribal women as ‘inhuman’, she also demanded that Manipur CM Biren Singh admit his failure and apologise to the people.
Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal, who reached Imphal on Sunday, appealed to Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani to visit the strife-torn state to understand the ground situation and the extent of people’s suffering.
Meanwhile, 78 Meiteis left Mizoram for Imphal, Guwahati and Kolkata in three different flights on Sunday, a day after 56 of them left for Imphal by a flight from Aizawl. Reports also said 31 Mizo students left Imphal for Aizawl by a flight on Sunday over security concerns.
In the fresh bout of violence that erupted on Saturday evening at Kwakta near the border of Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts, three persons were reportedly injured. According to official sources, two groups were engaged in a gunfight till the early hours of Sunday, during which shots were fired intermittently.

Bangladesh: An Inextricable Element of the Development of the Seven Sisters
Tumblr media
On 26th November, India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India is trying to improve trade and connectivity with Bangladesh and Myanmar on his two-day visit to India's Northeast region. He emphasized the importance of linking Northeastern India to the rest of the nation and reiterated Delhi is working to improve connectivity and infrastructure in the region.  By taking the G20 presidency India will try to showcase the true spirit of the Northeast to the world, with its tourism benefits. But, the umbilical cord between the Indian mainland and North Eastern Region is Chicken's Neck or Siliguri corridor which brings Bangladesh into the Indian equation of northeastern development. Not only that, Bangladesh has very close relations with West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura in terms of language, culture, and history. These factors make Bangladesh an inextricable element of the development of the northeastern states. Tourism Sector and Connectivity It is well known that connectivity is the cornerstone of any regional economic cooperation and integration. But the main hindrance to India's economic cooperation and integration with the ASEAN states is the connectivity issue. Northeastern states of India share international borders with Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, and China. Both Bangladesh and India are affected due to a lack of improvement in ties with Assam`s capital Guwahati, which is known as a `gateway` to the northeastern states. As a result, both sides are deprived of availing the potential for connectivity. So, it is necessary to introduce road communications between Guwahati and Dhaka like between Dhaka and Agartala. The initiative of air connectivity has started between Bangladesh and the northeastern states. Flights from Agartala to Chittagong will be started soon as part of enhancing international air connectivity in the region. If the infrastructural barriers are removed, the tourism industry between Bangladesh and northeast India will see a boom the first step towards increasing tourism between Bangladesh and the Seven Sisters will be to reopen all of the blocked border checkpoints to visitors. There are now only three border checkpoints along the states of Tripura and Meghalaya. Both must look into the possibility of adding more border checkpoints and developing infrastructure, including communication lines. Furthermore, the international airport in Sylhet can act as a link between the secluded people of the northeast and the rest of the globe. Energy Sector The northeastern region is a source of around 63,000MW of hydropower energy. Bangladesh can benefit from the extra power generated in the NER by bolstering its power supply. As a result, cooperation in this industry can benefit both regions. Not only that, diesel will come to Bangladesh through the pipeline from Numaligarh, Assam. Considering the geographical proximity, energy cooperation between the northeastern states and Bangladesh will see a new dimension if utilized properly. Trade and investment The goods from Bangladesh have demand in seven of the northeastern states of India.   These states import many kinds of goods from Bangladesh. These include food and beverage, and garments. Not only plastic goods, melamine, cement, rod, ceramic, and cosmetics but also flash doors are also imported from Bangladesh. On the other hand, northeastern states are exporting all kinds of agricultural products to Bangladesh. These include ginger, onion, and betel nut. The market mechanism between Bangladesh and northeastern states can be facilitated through the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Pranay Verma discussed the potential of CEPA in a recent meeting. Moreover, stones are abundant in northeastern states, Tripura is also importing stones from Bangladesh. The reason behind the import is the geographical proximity. India`s Assam and Meghalaya states are close to the northern part of Bangladesh. These stones are accumulated in the Sylhet and Sunamganj districts of Bangladesh. From there, importers can reach Tripura by road crossing only 150-200 kilometers. But, if the importers want to go to Tripura from Assam or Meghalaya, they will have to cross as many as 1000 kilometers. Because of this, the importers of Tripura are interested to import stones from Bangladesh. It helps them to save both time and money. But unfortunately, the trade between Bangladesh and those states is not reaching a desirable level due to a lack of infrastructure. For example, the immigration problems. There are several land ports between Bangladesh and India. But the visa is processed at Kolkata and Siliguri of West Bengal and Agartala in Tripura. As a result, the people of Assam and Meghalaya are required to go to Kolkata or Agartala for visas crossing a thousand kilometers. If a visa center can be established at Guwahati, the gateway of the northeastern states it will accelerate the movements between the two countries. India shouldn't forget that; the northeastern region is an armed conflict a separatist movement-prone region. The separatists are capitalizing on the economic situation of the natives and consolidating the arms conflict there. If India focuses on improving bilateral economic and connectivity initiatives with Bangladesh, the economic development of this region is inevitable. We can be optimistic to believe that economic development will bring a long-lasting solution to armed conflicts. Though Bangladesh has the geo-strategic upper hand, the country never gives any statement that shows any gesture that put India-Bangladesh relations in any uncomfortable situation. What stuff should you buy before your abroad departure?
Tumblr media
The time to rejoice and celebrate comes once you have passed the most difficult doorways in your journey abroad. The visa that you have been long waiting for has arrived and you’re all set to start a new phase in your life.
Our study-abroad consultants have prepared a list of items to be taken along with you for a hassle-free experience of moving abroad. Make sure to go through the complete list.
Post-visa tasks
Now is the time for you to book those tickets and start packing.
Most definitely, you should start by booking your flight tickets at the earliest possible to avoid the surge charges later. You should compile photocopies as well as digital copies of all your documents in a file and keep them safe.
The best study-abroad consultants in Delhi suggest that going abroad for an international student is not the same as going on a 2-week-long international vacation. Hence, you should carefully plan and pack for your long stays in a foreign country.
Luggage
When you start shopping you should foremost invest in good quality sturdy luggage that can take the rough handling by the airport ground staff and can still keep your valuables safe. Along with it you should also invest in a few travel-friendly locks and packing essentials like shoe and toiletries organizers and packing cubes.
Medicines
When you’re traveling to a new country, you should know that the healthcare system is not the same in every country as it is in your home country. you should first make sure to get a healthcare package or insurance.
Access to primary healthcare is not easily accessible to everyone in many countries and is quite expensive. The study abroad consultants in Delhi assert that as an international student, you should pack a few over-the-counter and basic prescription medicines for your voyage abroad. Some pain-relief medicines like Crocin, combiflam, and others for cough, cold, mild allergies, stomach-related problems, sprain sprays, or diarrhea should be packed.
Clothes
You should shop and pack your clothes for the journey according to the region, and weather conditions in the country for the period of your stay. Invest in good quality clothing, especially when moving to a cold country where winters are bitter.
It is strongly advised by the abroad consultants in Delhi that If you’re moving to countries where religious norms are strictly followed, you should make sure to pack clothes that are culturally appropriate.
The schedule of a student usually remains packed and finding the time to do laundry becomes difficult. So, you should make sure you keep extra pairs of socks and undergarments to last you for at least 15 days. When moving abroad most often students have to walk a lot around campus as well as to their part-time jobs. You should buy a pair of good quality shoes.
Toiletries
When you start packing your toiletries, you should note that you do not go overboard with them as they add extra weight to the luggage. but also, pack enough to last you at least a month until you figure out the shopping markets in the area of your stay. You should include shampoos, moisturizers, soaps, toothpaste, extra toothbrush, hygiene products, as well as grooming kits like shavers and razors.
Linens
This is another important item on the list. Though you can get mattresses and heavy blankets in the country of the travel, our study abroad consultants in Guwahati recommend that you should take at least a pair of bedsheets and pillow covers along with you. Also, don’t forget to pack a bath towel and a few hand-face towels in your suitcase.
Gadgets
When moving abroad, make sure you confirm that you pack the correct converters that are compatible with the power supply in that country. You should also make sure to pack a power bank and spare adaptors in your suitcase to avoid troublesome situations.
If you’re someone who is yet unsure about the study abroad decision, the best consultants in Guwahati can guide you with their expertise in counseling. They provide complete assistance not only in course and university selection but also in application and visa filing as well as post-admission support. The list is just a minute example of the same.
For more such information on a multitude of study abroad guidance, you can visit and connect with them at their website admissify.com at any time.
