u say that what alden did in flashback to keefe wasnt wrong but i don’t think u realize the impact Alden has on keefe. keefe thought of him like a father and to basicaly tell Keefe to one, prevent fitz from getting mad at Sophie, when honestly as a DAD that should be ur job to teach ur son how to control his anger and who he directs it at, and two to basicaly tell Keefe to let fitz and Sophie be happy and that it only ends one way which is fitz and sophie being endgame, this is all very shitty stuff to say. ik that ro played a part in steering the convo there but Alden still said it.

If keefe and sophie were obvious in love with each other mutually and lord cassius came up to Fitz to tell him that he should let keefe and sophie be happy and that it only ends one way, and Fitz thought of him like a dad, I would still consider that very shitty. It just not ur place to say this like at all. ever. but yeah thats jst my opinion on the matter. i feel like ur love for alden is kind of making u ignore the fact that he has done and said some pretty shitty stuff but who knows honestly. srry if this comes off rude and stuff, that not my intention

i've addressed a good portion of why everything anon says here is invalid in this post but you know what. i'm going to go into it anyway because it's super clear to me that anon has not read this story in a while and is taking several things out of context

okay first of all we have no evidence to suggest that alden isn't working with fitz to teach him to control his anger. evidence actually suggests that he does, since he clearly has no problem disciplining his children when he feels it's necessary. he gave fitz "the longest lecture ever" or something like that when fitz failed to follow his directions during the sophie search, and we even see this on page when he scolds fitz for getting cocky and not putting a nexus on sophie when he leaps her for the first time. and obviously alden doesn't approve of the way fitz acts when he's angry. so the logic follows that in private aka not on page because the series is exclusively told from the povs of people that aren't fitz, alden is actually disciplining fitz about his issues with anger. why do you think alden isn't teaching fitz how wrong it is to take his anger out on someone? certainly it's not backed up by anything in canon

okay now about alden's supposed "impact" on keefe . . . the two things alden tells keefe are, as you said, to step in when he feels fitz is turning his anger on sophie and to "let them be happy". these are two very reasonable things to ask someone. i'm being serious. you didn’t mention a specific way you think these would negatively impact keefe, just that you think it would “impact” keefe, so i can’t make a proper counter argument for whatever it is that you specifically have in mind. but just because these are things keefe doesn’t want to hear (specifically the second one) doesn’t mean they aren’t things he should hear. he does need to hear these things (and to do with the first one, alden leaves the choice of whether or not keefe does actually come to the tribunal up to him; keefe could have declined and alden would have been perfectly fine with that). also. i don’t think you understand precisely how much ro backs alden against a wall during the course of this story. ro did not “play a part” in steering the conversation there, ro fully interrogated alden and forced him to say things he wouldn’t ordinarily have said. your interpretation makes it seem like she made a one-off comment and the rest of the conversation was carried entirely by alden and keefe, which is like. not at all what happened. ro manipulated the conversation, beginning to end, asking alden uncomfortable questions like "why do you want keefe to come" and "why do you think sophie needs to come", forcing alden to justify his decisions to invite them both, which btw. is strictly none of ro's business. and alden isn't going to lie to keefe because he does respect him and treat him with dignity. he's going to tell him what he truly thinks

hence why he tells keefe he invited him to help keep fitz's anger in check, which btw is not inherently a shitty thing to ask (and in fact is something that actually works). if you actually read the story, which, i'm going to be super honest, i don't think you have in quite a bit, judging by some of the things you've said in this ask, alden actually says that the reason he wants keefe to step in instead of himself is because “my son is far more likely to listen to you over me” or something like this. so he would do it himself and in fact looking at alden’s general characterization, his response to things has been consistently to take on the burden himself to spare the people around him, especially if they are children. the only reason he asks keefe to do it over him is because he thinks keefe will actually be able to succeed in this particular instance and he will not (and he's right). he's not doing this because he wants fitz to channel his anger at keefe but because he doesn't want fitz to channel it at sophie, and he thinks keefe is more competent at stopping that

he also tells keefe he invited sophie because he thinks fitz will need her, which leads to him noticing keefe is sad, which leads to him trying to keep keefe from making the situation worse for himself, which leads to the "let them be happy" line. again, not an inherently shitty thing for alden to say. anon, you've not explained to me why you think either of these things are shitty specifically. you just said they are shitty and expect me to believe you when you've provided no reasoning at all. typical. do you think i have never heard this argument ever. telling a kid not to interfere with two other kids' potentially romantic relationship is not shitty, and will never be shitty. that is perfectly normal advice. what the heck. and since you jumped to the "it's not his place" argument as well, aside from the fact that he clearly doesn't even want to be having this conversation, it absolutely is his place. as a parent, he doesn't want keefe to wreck his relationships with either fitz or sophie. he is doing this out of concern for keefe, which is abundantly clear if you read the very personal story he tells keefe directly before telling him all this, and his own personal experience being in a situation similar to keefe's. let me repeat that. he doesn't want keefe to lose sophie and fitz. he is trying to prevent this, as someone that cares for keefe. it is absolutely his place to try to stop keefe from making bad decisions (and that is, again, not even taking into account the whole thing about ro forcing him down this conversation path in the first place, and the fact that he is clearly uncomfortable having this conversation with keefe at all)

and the thing that makes me sure you've not read this story in a very long time is your citing of alden's "this only ends one way" line. wow. way to take a line out of context. i cannot even begin to tell you how much this line cannot be taken out of context and thrown out the way you just did. alden actually agrees with you. he knows that it was wrong of him to say that. here's what happens: he says the "this only ends one way" line. and then ro says "hey, it's not your place to say that because they're teens" (her only valid comment in the entire story). and then alden's like "yeah, you know what, you're right. i take it back". that's a bit of an exaggeration, but alden does walk that line back. he does say something that negates that statement, rendering it null. so you cannot count that line in a serious anti alden argument because alden acknowledges in the story out loud that it was wrong. goodness. you're losing all credibility with me right now, anon, i'm gonna be honest

this isn't a rude ask . . . honestly i think my response was a bit rude but in my defense i've heard all these arguments again and again and pretty much none of them are valid imo. i recommend you read my other post because it goes way more in-depth (it's a full flashback short story breakdown) and it has quotes actually cited and shit and it isn't rude. sorry about that . . .

tldr: anon says "it had an impact on keefe" and "this is all very shitty stuff for alden to say" without telling me what they think the negative impact is and why they think this is shitty. anon also removes a great deal of context, like the fact that alden takes it back when he says "this only ends one way" almost immediately after he says it, the very personal story alden tells keefe of him being in a similar situation to keefe's, and the fact that alden is only telling keefe this because he doesn't want keefe to destroy two friendships the way he did (because he cares about keefe). anon also makes it seem like ro's interrogation of alden was just a tiny part of the conversation, when in reality it's most of the reason alden said the things he said

Word Gets Around

Grogu was pretty happy to find himself back on Tatooine. He liked the sand covered planet with it’s two suns and desert as far as the eye could see. He liked being there on Boonta Eve when they ran the pod races. He liked being there on Life Day when people would dress in red, if they could, and were extra nice to each other and shared food with passing strangers. He ever liked being there on what had been Empire Day. 

Yup, that’s right. Even Empire Day. He liked it because the folks on Tatooine seemed to know exactly how bad the Emperor had been for everywhere in galaxy and the unique impacts that had occurred locally. Which meant that Empire Day on Tatooine wasn’t exactly a celebration of the Emperor and all the mess he’d made of things. It was more of a day long festival of refusing to comply with anyone else’s demands, including the games, ‘Knock the Helmet Off the Stormtrooper’, ‘Throw the brick bat at the Imp’, and ‘Pin the Binders on the Emperor’. Everyone who did the last game got a free bag of sand to pour over effigies of Darth Vader and Sheev Palpatine. Apparently they didn’t like sand for some reason. 

But today wasn’t any special celebration day. It was just a regular day on Tatooine. The suns were hot, the air was dry and Peli Motto was trying to tell his dad that no one anywhere had a starship for him to look at that wasn’t a bucket of bolts or slower than a sand worm on Hoth. Grogu had been surprised that his Dad was looking for a new ship again. When they were on Zoh Zander couldn’t help himself and spent some time tuning up the N-1 and now she ran better than the day she was built. According to Zander. His dad hadn’t complained so that seemed to be the end of it. But apparently not. 

After puttering around the market they went over to Mos Espa and met Fennec and the Daimyo at the newly rebuilt Sanctuary. Apparently the former owner’s sister had come to Tatooine with the intention of dealing with the people who had killed her sister. Finding that had already been taken care of, Tessa Fwip had decided to spend her time overseeing the reconstruction of the once iconic establishment and now it was finally completed. 

The only thing Grogu noticed during their visit was that people seemed to dress ‘up’ to go there and he felt a bit out of place since he was wearing his standard coverall. He said as much to Fennec, who chuckled and assured him that the only person people were watching was his dad. While the Daimyo cut a fine figure to use Fennec’s words, Din Djarin looked like a million credits because of that shiny, shiny, beskar. 

“You know what kid, we should charge them a fee for staring at him while he’s here. He’s a form of entertainment for them all. It’s like going to a park to see the Nexu, the gundark’s and the rathtars. They’re all worried that they might have a bounty that he’s here to collect and they’re also worried that they don’t and won’t be able to meet him at all. I’m thinking ten credits a person.”

Grogu nodded. Fennec wouldn’t underprice an opportunity like that. She had a good head for business, at least the sort of business practiced on Tatooine. 

“Fennec, don’t fill the boy’s head with nonsense. Tessa will demand a 50/50 split at least. That should be factored into the price.”

The Daimyo sounded serious, but the wink he gave Grogu told a different story. They both liked to tease his dad because Din Djarin was a good sport and mostly oblivious to the commentary. Grogu patted his dad’s hand and the Mandalorian shook his head.

“You’re both wrong. She told them they could pay more to get me to leave. She promised to give me 40% of the take. I don’t think she’s had any takers.”

Then he laughed at the looks the Daimyo and Fennec exchanged and Grogu wondered if his dad was just teasing them all. If he was, that would be something new in Grogu’s experience. 

“Well here she comes now. We’ll find out soon enough.”

Grogu nodded at Fennec as they both watched the tall Twi’lek woman walk over to their table. She was all dressed in black, but instead of the outfit looking like something you might wear to a formal occasion, it looked like something you might wear on a battle field. Not exactly armor, but formidable none the less. If Grogu hadn’t been able to sense her internal peace he would have worried that she was an Inquisitor who just happened to like the weather on Tatooine. 

“Daimyo Fett. Administrator Shand. It’s a pleasure to have you here. Who’s the muscle?”

She was clearly referring to Grogu’s dad. Fennec grinned at that and the Daimyo was obviously looking for the right words, but Din Djarin sorted things out.

“His name is Grogu. He’s my apprentice. He can lift a mudhorn over your head and throw it across the room with ease.”

Fennec laughed out loud and even the Daimyo couldn’t help but chuckle at the Mandalorian’s comment. Of course everything his dad said was true so Grogu didn’t really understand what was so funny. None of them could lift up a mudhorn.

“Ah. Good choice. Power in a properly sized package. Smart. Well, Grogu, to do all that you must have a mighty appetite. Can I interest you in a Krayt dragon steak? The Sandpeople had to dispatch one a few days ago and I was able to negotiate for the best cuts. Lightly grilled and served with a bowl of fresh of froglets?”

Grogu nodded his head briskly as he smiled at her. He felt like this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. 

“Don’t worry about the tab, Mando. Some Jawas were going to enjoy the entertainments until they saw you here and paid me to let them go before I mentioned it to you. Apparently they are visiting from Arvala-7. Sometime you’ll have to tell me what happened there.” She was laughing while she spoke and Grogu noticed that she had an accent he’d never heard before. 

“That’s easy. Grogu lifted up a mudhorn so they could have an egg. Word gets around.”

Grogu smiled at that. Word does get around and sometimes that’s not a bad thing.

The Color Red In A World Full Of Black & White: Remembering Bray Wyatt

One year ago today , the wrestling business paused once again to remember one of their own. The day after the death of Terry Funk , came the death of Bray Wyatt. This article is going to celebrate the life and career of Bray Wyatt and how he has impacted professional wrestling.

Windham Lawrence Rotunda was born to Stephanie and Mike Rotunda on May 23,1987 in Brooksville, Florida. He was the oldest of the three children , a younger brother , Taylor , and a younger sister , Mika. He was an amateur wrestler in high school and won the state championship in 2005, the year he graduated. He also played football as a defensive tackle and a guard in junior college. He earned a football scholarship from Troy University and played football there for two years. During his time there , he decided to join the family business and become a professional wrestler.

Windham was a third-generation wrestler. His grandfather was BlackJack Mulligan , his uncles are Kendall and Barry Windham. Therefore , his father is ‘ Mr.IRS ’ Mike Rotunda. He was trained by his uncle Barry before being signed to WWE in 2009 and making his debut in a dark match on an episode of Florida Championship Wrestling ( FCW ) , in February of the same year. FCW is now known as NXT. In June of the same year , he would go on to win the FCW Tag Team Championships alongside his brother , who was known as Bo Rotundo. He would be known as either Alex Rotundo or Duke Rotundo during this time.

In June of 2010, Windham would take the name , Husky Harris , and join the Inaugural season of WWE NXT. He was a Rookie and would be paired with Cody Rhodes as his Pro. Cody is the son of ‘ The American Dream ’ , Dusty Rhodes. He would be eliminated from the competition on the August 17 episode of NXT. He kept the Husky Harris name as continued to work in FCW. In October of the same years, he would join Wade Barrett’s Nexus faction. They would torment the main roster, especially John Cena. He would also be in the group under the rule of CM Punk. Thus, he would be taken off WWE TV and repackaged into the gimmick he would be well known for after being kicked in the head by Randy Orton. He would make his return to FCW in 2011 under the name Axl Mulligan, thus , this character never made it to TV. He would still be known as Husky Harris.

When WWE made the decision to rebrand FCW into what is now known as NXT in 2012 , Windham Rotunda became known as Bray Wyatt. He would make his NXT debut on the July 11, 2012 episode. Originally, he had a wrestler named Eli Cottonwood as his tag team partner. This pairing happened in FCW. After suffering an injury to his pectoral muscle and having surgery to repair it , Wyatt remained on NXT TV, cutting promos and forming a faction , came to be known as The Wyatt Family . The faction consisted of him , Luke Harper , and Erick Rowan. Wyatt returned to the ring in 2013 and defeated Yoshi Tatsu. Therefore , he suffered his first loss in NXT when he was defeated by his brother, Bo Dallas. His second loss was to Chris Jericho. Harper and Rowan would become NXT Tag Team Champions on the May 2 episode of NXT. On May 27,2013 , WWE began airing vignettes of the faction on Monday Night RAW , teasing their debut on the main roster.

On July 8,2013 , Bray along with Luke and Rowan , made their WWE main roster debut on Monday Night RAW. Their first victim would be Kane. Thus, they attacked other wrestlers such as 3MB and R-Truth to send messages to the Kane and telling him to , “ Follow The Buzzards ” . Wyatt was challenged to a Ring of Fire match by Kane at Summerslam the same year. Wyatt won the match with the help of Harper and Rowan. They soon targeted Kofi Kingston , with Wyatt having a match with him at Battleground and winning. Wyatt would go on to have major storylines with John Cena and Daniel Bryan ( Bryan Danielson ) during the later part of 2013 and into 2014. Cena would defeat Wyatt at Wrestlemania 30. This would be his first major loss while being on the main roster . The Wyatt Family would also go on to attack Chris Jericho, who was returning to the WWE from being on tour with his band , Fozzy. This storyline ended in a Steel Cage match on the September 8,2014 episode of RAW. Wyatt won the match by escaping from the cage.

Soon, Bray Wyatt would be involved with another major WWE Superstar after his rivalry with Dean Ambrose. During this rivalry, he would offer to help Ambrose as he did to Harper and Rowan, whom he set free. Their rivalry would end in an Ambulance match , which Wyatt would come out on top. Thus , Wyatt would be calling himself , ‘ The New Face Of Fear ’. At the WWE Fastlane Pay-Per-View , he would appear from a casket and call out The Undertaker, challenging him to a match at Wrestlemania 31. However, he would be defeated by The Phenom. The Wyatt Family would soon make their return as a faction in 2015. Wyatt would soon introduce a new member of the family the same year , Braun Strowman. Wyatt and Harper would soon find themselves in a match against the Brothers of Destruction at Survivor Series of the same year.

Wyatt would have a rivalry with Randy Orton in 2016. They would have two matches , one at Backlash and one at No Mercy. Thus, Randy joined The Wyatt Family after helping Wyatt in his match against Kane. Wyatt and Orton would be the only surviving team members for Team Smackdown at Survivor Series. This would occur after Orton saved Wyatt from taking a spear from Roman Reigns. They would go on to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. In 2017 , Randy turned his back on Wyatt and went after the WWE Championship. He would be shown destroying the Wyatt Family compound and Sister Abigail’s grave. At Wrestlemania 33, Wyatt would lose the WWE Championship to Orton. He would go on to form a tag team with Matt Hardy. They were known as The Deleter of Worlds.

In 2019, Wyatt would be repackaged as a Mr.Rogers type character. Fans would start seeing vignettes on WWE programming consisting of different toys such as a puppet of a buzzard and a doll that looked like a witch. Bray would appear in the vignettes of a what looked like a children’s show. This would be called ‘ The Firefly Funhouse ’ . Wyatt would also have a new look as well. He would have a shorter beard and a leaner body. During the segments , he would also use a puppet of Vince McMahon. He would also debut a new gimmick , The Fiend. Nevertheless, he would gain a manager in this role. His manager and co-host of Firefly Fun House would be Alexa Bliss. The two would be drafted to RAW in 2020 after being on Smackdown in 2019. In 2021 , Bliss would turn on The Fiend and say that she didn’t need him . Wyatt would be released in July of 2021.

In September of 2022, an acapella the song , ‘ White Rabbit ’ by Jefferson Airplane would be played at WWE Live Events and TV programming. QR codes would also be shown on both RAW and Smackdown. Everything involved during the eerie segments would lead to teasing the return of Bray Wyatt. At Extreme Rules , Wyatt would make his return to the company . At the end of the PLE, the lights on the arena would dim and a door would be seen. Wyatt would soon enter the arena from the door with a lantern and real life versions of his Fire Fly Funhouse characters. He would reveal himself as the White Rabbit. A new masked character , Uncle Howdy , would be debuted during his return as well. The light in the door that he came out of would be a tribute to fallen Wyatt Family member , Luke Harper ( Brodie Lee ) , who would pass away in 2020.

Bray Wyatt‘s last main roster storylines would be with LA Knight and Bobby Lashley. Wyatt and Knight would have a Pitch Black match at the 2023 Royal Rumble , with Wyatt being victorious. He would start a feud with Bobby Lashley going to Wrestlemania 39 , however , it was scrapped due to Wyatt being out of action with an illness. He was set to return to the ring on August 19th, 2023. Thus, his return would never happen.

Bray Wyatt tragically passed at the age of 36 on August 24, 2023 from a heart attack due to the COVID-19 virus. He left behind a fiancé , JoJo, and four children. He left behind a family who loved him as well as his fans and colleagues. WWE COO , Paul ‘ Triple H ’ Levesque , would announce his death on the social media platform , X ( Twitter), after getting a phone call from Mike Rotunda informing him of his son’s death. On the August 25, 2023 episode of Friday Night Smackdown , WWE would pay tribute to him alongside Terry Funk. The rocking chair Wyatt used would be placed in the middle of the ramp as the WWE Universe would use their cell phone flashlights as fireflies and sing , ‘ He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands’ . The show would end with LA Knight and Finn Balór main eventing . Knight being his last opponent and Balór being his first opponent under The Fiend gimmick. Wyatt would be signed to a WWE Legends contract and any merchandise sales would go to his children. In a video on YouTube , wrestlers such as Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Adam Pearce , Bayley , etc would pay tribute to their friend and say how he has impacted them. Other promotions such as AEW and TNA would pay tribute to Wyatt. In April of 2024 , a documentary about Wyatt would be released. On April 5, Wyatt’s father and uncle would be inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame as the tag team , the US Express . They would be inducted with Bray’s ‘ fireflies ’ and his entrance music. Jey Uso would also use the fireflies as his tribute to Wyatt in his entrance . In June of 2024 , as a tribute to his brother , Taylor revived the Uncle Howdy character and formed the Wyatt Sicks alongside Erick Rowan , Dexter Lumis , Nikki Cross , and Joe Gacy. Uncle Howdy will be making his in ring debut on the August 26 episode of Monday Night Raw against Chad Gable.

My Final Thoughts:

Bray Wyatt is a once in a lifetime wrestler. Yes , I’ll admit that he did scare me when I first saw him , however, I became a fan. He made it worth watching . From his in ring work to the Firefly Fun House , he was one of the most creative people I’ve ever seen. Windham , I just wanted to say thank you on behalf everyone who loves you . Thailand's Constitutional Court on Wednesday ordered the dissolution of the popular anti-establishment opposition party, Move Forward, over its controversial campaign to amend a law that protects the powerful monarchy from criticism.

The disbandment of the 2023 election winner is the latest setback for Thailand's major political parties, which remain embroiled in a tumultuous two-decade battle for power with an influential nexus of conservatives, old money families and royalist generals.

The decision comes six months after the same court ordered Move Forward to drop its plan to reform a law on royal insults, ruling it was unconstitutional and risked undermining Thailand's system of governance with the king as head of state. Move Forward denies that.

Though the dissolution is likely to anger millions of young and urban voters who backed Move Forward and its progressive agenda, the impact of the ruling is expected to be limited, with only the party's 11 current and former executives banned from politics for 10 years.

That means 143 of its lawmakers will keep their seats and are expected to reorganise under a new party, as they did in 2020, when predecessor Future Forward was disbanded over a campaign funding violation.

If all join the same party, it would be the biggest in parliament and would be expected to continue a progressive agenda that includes military reform and undoing big business monopolies, among the policies that saw its rivals coalesce to block it from forming a government last year.

The decision comes at critical juncture in Thai politics, with cracks appearing also in an uneasy truce between the royalist establishment and another longtime rival, the populist ruling party, Pheu Thai.

The Constitutional Court will next week decide on a case brought by 40 conservative former senators seeking to dismiss Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin over his appointment to cabinet of a lawyer who served time in jail. He denies wrongdoing and says the appointment was above board.

Tycoon Srettha's case is among factors that have heightened political uncertainty and roiled financial markets, with the prospect of political upheaval if he is removed.

A new premier would need to be voted on by parliament, potentially pitting Pheu Thai against coalition partners and leading to a shakeup of the governing alliance and realignment of cabinet and policies.

I’ve asked this question before but I am, once again, curious, I know I asked why you loved heather but now I’m curious as to why you pair heather with Eddie? I love it of course but I must understand the nexus lmao

Let me start this off by stating Cruel Summer was written to be a Hellguard (Eddie x Heather, Heddie) fic and I have an unfinished WIP I titled Missing You for them which I’ll include under the cut, but the explanation:

When it comes down to it, it was just my love for both characters. After ST4 dropped, I rewatched ST3 (my favorite season) and it just reignited my love for Heather. I can go on and on about how it breaks my heart that her death didn’t leave a major impact on the town because she was just a normal girl, not super popular, and it kind of made her the easiest character to self insert with. (It infuriates me that she was paid dust by the fandom because she had a surprisingly large role in ST3 compared to other characters in seasons, like for some reason Carol gets more claim than Heather).

But I remember watching the scene of her telling that kid off and thinking “This girl is mouthy to punks.” Which led to me thinking about Eddie who hands shit out left and right (the famous cafeteria scene) and I started thinking about possible interactions they could have had. Then I started wondering if they ever interacted at all. Did they get along? Did they annoy each other? Ever have a class together? Then I thought, what if feelings were involved?

The thought quickly snowballed, and coupled with my belief that Heather deserved better and deserved to be saved, I came up with Cruel Summer, in which Eddie was going to save Heather. This was of course when most of the fandom was looney about who to pair Eddie with and I didn’t want people to hate Heather strictly because she’d be paired with Eddie, as she has a lot of potential and deserves to be loved, so I changed it into a Reader insert instead but one can tell who Reader was kind of meant to be.

I have an unfinished WIP, one of the first things I wrote when I started writing for Eddie in July of last year, about Eddie reflecting on his unsaid feelings for a now deceased Heather right before his final—and fatal—senior year. A lot of Angst, pretty much him being depressed, grieving in his ways and thinking about The Girl he thought he was going to get. It would have been a slow burn that never got to ignite and Eddie was bitter that people could move on so easily, like she hadn’t mattered. And here is that unfinished WIP: 

“Fuck,” Eddie croaked out, eyes watering as he shuddered with violent coughs, his lungs trying desperately to rid themselves of the smoke he’d inhaled. He hadn’t waited long enough between pulls from the joint, hadn't cared to. Not when he was desperate to feel good. To feel anything other than the stupid fucking anguish that was following him around.

It hadn’t always been, though. Sure, his life wasn’t perfect. His mom was dead, his dad was in prison, and his uncle took up more shifts than he could handle just to make sure Eddie had a tin roof over his head. When he’d seen how worn down Wayne was getting, he’d taken up his own little side business; dealing drugs for a dude who looked like he jumped straight out of a bad porno with that mustache. 

Truth be told, Eddie was pretty sure he wouldn’t amount to much. His only concern was not turning into his father, which would be easy enough. All he had to do was stay out of jail. Of course, with a mindset like that, he hadn’t developed motivation for much else. 

He had his interests. Dungeons and Dragons, Corroded Coffin, weed, metal and the works but academics was not one of them. Hence why he’d be starting his third senior year in just a couple of days. Ironically, that wasn’t the reason why he was currently cooped up in his van, parked near the lake and hotboxing his sorrows away. No, that honor belonged to the permed curly headed, annoying, know-it-all, big mouth commonly known as Heather Holloway. Eddie winced, eyes squeezing shut to stop the rush of moisture from escaping. Formerly known. He shook his head, mouth curling into a bitter grin as he rubbed his fingers into his eyelids in an attempt to physically force the tears away, force the memories down, but it didn’t work. Hawkins was small. Everyone knew everyone, so of course he knew of Heather Holloway’s existence. It would’ve been difficult not to because she was constantly reminding everyone. Eddie didn’t know exactly when they had become enemies, he kind of grouped her in with everyone else who had a problem with him. Unfair of him, but given his social track record, he usually assumed the worst from certain people and she happened to hang around the worst people.

It didn’t help that she was really annoying. Super fucking nosey, always trying to tell him what to do—okay, yeah, sure it was because they’d been partnered up various amounts of times for assignments and projects but she made him feel stupid every single time so why would he have listened to her?—and she had this air about her, held herself like she was better than everyone else. It really irked Eddie because she wasn’t even popular. Hell, she was all but a social pariah because of how annoying she was, normally sat at a table with Jonathan Byers, Samantha Stone (who definitely scared Eddie), Stacy Soto, Fred Benson and the other social rejects, excluding Nancy Wheeler who sat there to be with her boyfriend. He was pretty sure everyone at the table weren’t even really friends, just acquaintances and that was pretty pathetic. Eddie knew he’d be there, too, had it not been for the Hellfire table. He’d been snapping at Tommy Hagan one day, and that ended up in a hallway brawl. And that ended up in a nice Saturday morning of detention with a handful of other random unfortunate souls and Tommy.

Contrary to his reputation, Eddie didn’t actually get detention often. He valued his time, meaning the only extra time he wanted to spend in those soul sucking walls of high school was for Hellfire.

He’d been amused when Heather walked in, looking thoroughly ashamed to be there in the first place as she sunk into a desk, trying not to draw attention to herself.

Naturally, Eddie had to make a spectacle of her arrival. It’d cost him another Saturday of detention, but jumping out of his desk and knocking a couple more over as he overacted his shock at seeing her had been worth it. 

Seeing her face turn that unflattering shade of red and the sheen of sweat that coated her skin brought him great joy.

Her telling him to suck her chode had not.

That’s how they found themselves in detention again the following Saturday. Only, it had been just them. And when Mrs. Click disappeared with some bogus excuse about making copies in the main office which was code for having sex with Principle Higgins in his office, Eddie knew the only source of entertainment was the girl sat all the way in the front of the classroom, doodling in a sketchbook.

“What are you drawing?” He asked as he slipped into the seat behind her, arms folding over the top of the desk.

She’d glanced over her sweater covered shoulder to glare at him before turning her attention back to her sketchbook without answering him. “Oh, c’mon. It’s just you and me, Holloway. You can drop the act. I know you love me.” He crooned, biting his lip as he grinned when she twisted around to face him, lips pursed in annoyance. “Is there a reason you’re such a jerk? Or is it just your personality?”

Eddie’s eyebrows had shot up, he was expecting to have to goad her a little more before he got a response. “More so a matter of circumstance,” he mused, fluttering his lashes for her. Her own dark eyes narrowed even more. It was clear her guard was up and while Eddie very much enjoyed grinding her gears, it was more fun when it was mutual banter. 

“Okay. Go on,” She shrugged her shoulders but her posture didn’t relax and Eddie suddenly felt vulnerable as she called his bluff. “Uh,” he licked his lips as he scrambled for something to follow up with. “The circumstances are—uh—we. . . you know what, we don’t like each other. That’s the circumstance. It’s our thing, don’t deviate from our thing.” Her pursed lips morphed into a frown as her eyebrows pinched together. “Well, why don’t you like me?” Eddie had been taken aback by the question. It had to be rhetorical, right? “Are you fucking with me?” She didn’t say anything, just shook her head as she waited for him to answer her. Eddie stared at her for a long time, but she hadn’t been unnerved enough to look away. In fact, she held his eye contact with the same intensity. “You’re a bitch, Heather.” “So are you, Eddie.” It wasn’t anything monumental, but that interaction caused a shift in whatever they were.

She turned back around, picked up her pencil and continued drawing, leaving Eddie kind of dumbfounded. Only because she wasn’t acting like herself. He didn’t know a whole lot about her, but he knew Heather was desperate for approval, figured that’s why she acted like she was better than everyone else. A fake it till you make it type of situation only he knew she was never gonna make it.

Something told Eddie she knew it, too.

Big Mama’s amused grin creeps on her spider face, fangs protruding behind her claws that try to hide her glee. Her eyes form crescent shapes from the pull of her lips, and she leans forward to tip his chin up at her as she asks in a condescending tone, “What made you think to trust me, turtley-boo?”

I lowkey wish I had expanded on their relationship a little more, show a bit more in the beginning that she isn’t the Big Mama that F!Leo remembers and make his departure from his time in the Battle Nexus seem more impactful to her business

And for LCD I would’ve loved to expand more on F!Leo’s impact on the Hidden City. Like show that yokai have run away from the city to Hueso’s in a panic because of their fear of the Mass Murderer of the Hidden City. And I would’ve loved to show his impact on the surface in New York City like the news covering the mysterious disappearances of its citizens that can’t be linked to really anything because it seems that the victims are randomly chosen (but obviously they mean something to F!Leo).

Maybe something like the turtles noticing how much more empty the streets are or instead of the turtles actively seeking out the “criminal” on Hueso’s account but the turtles walking home after hanging out with April and Little Leo suddenly getting attacked by F!Leo

“Leo, Leo! Over here!” Mikey calls out to the red-eared slider with flailing arms as he jumps onto the next rooftop.

Leo’s grin widens and he cocks his arm back, ready to throw the ball into Mikey’s awaiting arms when suddenly everything is a blur. His head swings forward as his body is thrown backwards. His head bounces off the ground as the wind is forced out his lungs.

A thick pressure releases itself from his neck and the world spins as he tries to make sense of what happened.

“Leo!” The slider hears his brothers cry out for him.

The slider looks up to see a figure looming over his, the gleam of a blade momentarily blinding him as it raises above his forehead.

He’s going to die. He’s going to die. He’s going to die. He’s going to die.

Leo sucks in his breath, hand shaking over the hilt of his katana. MOVE, he desperately urges his body in silence.

Leo swallows as everything moves in slow motion, the flicker of purple and red waving in the wind at the other end of the stranger’s blade.

His hand gripping tightly to his sword moves on its own, and he narrowly diverts the blade from piercing his forehead into the ground mere inches from his skin. His breaths come out shaky and shallow, his hand shaking from the force behind the stranger’s attack.

“Wh-,” Leo swallows his nerves down and asks in a tone trying to hide his fear, “Who the hell are you?”

The stranger rises slowly, pulling his blade out of the ground in a sharp, swift movement. He points the end of his blade at Leo’s head and answers in a tone flooding with bloodlust, “I am you.”

Idk maybe I’m just feeling sentimental because the movie’s anniversary is coming up (right? Maybe I’m wrong about that too)
