Had joined a Nikon Z group on FB. When joining it did say I had to already own a Nikon Z camera to be accepted and asked which one I have so I put in that I owned a Z6 ii even tho I do not, but I wanted to look into them more. Today I submitted a post asking for opinions on the autofocus and explained I do motorsport photography and would rent one for a weekend if I could, but nobody local does that. Admin denied my post because I said when I joined the group that I already had the camera and was making a post about renting one and they wanted to know which was true. No idea which admin so couldn't message them to talk about it so I left the group. Went to rejoin so I could instead enter in that I was just looking into getting a Z6 ii, not that I had one, to hopefully appease the admin, except now they don't let you type in which camera you own, it's a multiple choice asking if you have a Z camera or not and on the option saying you don't have one it explicitly states you'll be denied from the group if you select it.

A Worthy Nikon Z5 Successor - Nikon Z6 III?

Welcome to the 120Hz 5.76MP EVF era of Nikon mirrorless, a 6-year journey in the making, to possibly deepen the engagement OVF users lost when they abandoned their DSLR.

With a pixel pitch of over 40% bigger than her DX counterpart, and working backward, the Z6 III should at least be getting an effective 28.9 MP output with this FX sensor (perhaps to give her that ISO 64000 edge over ZFC's 51200). Comparatively, the Nikon Z8 has a near-identical sensor density as the Nikon Zfc.

I am also surprised that 16-bit NEF is still absent in Nikon mirrorless line-up in 2024, where others have begun introuducing. The -8 EV AF detection range is indeed impressive, beating even the Nikon Z8 but still lagging behind the cheaper Nikon Zf.

Nikon Z6 II owners can rest easy. Not much loss for not upgrading...

I did some math and if I don't make any more purchases like I have been the last couple months to catch up on the things I needed but couldn't get because I wasn't working and I am now I can have a new camera by spring I think. And.....tbh I'm heavily leaning toward the Nikon Z6 ii. It seems to be very much what I need.
