Suki Takes It Off (Again) is a new short story by R J Dent and it is published today (10th April, 2023) by D.F.L. Lit.
Suki Takes It Off (Again) was inspired by an initial anecdote (told to the author by his brother), and then plotted and written after several months of research into ventriloquism, particularly the work of the incredibly talented Nina Conti.
Suki Takes It Off (Again) is about a professional ventriloquist who is called to the hospital bedside of her dying mother.
The story was published by D.F.L. Lit and can be read here: https://dfllit.com/043-2/

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival: Day 2
Day two started with a, later than Wednesday, bus trip into town for an ill-fated visit to see The Last Laugh, a play starring characters playing Bob Monkhouse, Eric Morecambe and Tommy Cooper.  You can imagine the audience demograph. Well, the computer said no because I’d booked the tickets for the Friday not the Thursday.  So, our pal Lesley is going with a friend today instead.  I’m sure she…
