The Old vs The New

I came up with an idea to have a conversation between two Nokia phones: the classic Nokia 3310, and one of the latest smartphones they have as of 2019, Nokia 9 PureView. I got this concept on an ordinary day where my mind suddenly realized how advanced technology has become and how crazy it is that people a few years younger than me has never held a Nokia 3310 nor do they know what it actually is. That crazy thought didn’t leave my head until I came up with this design. I then added a bit of humor to make the whole concept more light-hearted and interesting.

Nagyjából egy éve várja a mobilos világ, de végre itt van a Nokia ígéretes kamerás okostelefonja.

Külön történelme van a Nokiának és a mobilos fotózásnak, melyet nem árt legalább röviden ismerni a Nokia 9 PureView kapcsán. Adott volt pár év az akkor még teljesen finn gyártó idején, amikor épp nem mentek annyira jól a dolgok, legalábbis a kamerás téren kifejezetten sok kritika érte a gyártót. Ennek volt köszönhető egy hosszas fejlesztés, melyet végül a PureView nevű érzékelőlapka és egy megkésett Symbian rendszerű okostelefon (akkorra már a finnek a Windows Phone-t használták), melyet a hosszú-hosszú évekig legjobb kamerás mobilnak tartott Nokia Lumia 1020 követett. Ennek fényében volt különösen nagy jelentősége az újraéledt Nokia kapcsán annak a modellnek, mely valami újat és valami egyedit hoz a mobilos világba, így nem meglepő, hogy az elmúlt majdnem egy évnyi várakozás fokozott figyelmet eredményez.

Kezdjük rögtön a kamerával, hisz amúgy is minden fókusz ezen van: Az öt darab, egyenként 12 megapixeles hátlapi modul azonos fókusztávolsággal rendelkezik, numerikus apertúrájuk f/1,8-as és igazából mindössze abban térnek el, hogy közülük három fekete-fehér, kettő pedig színes. Ami igazán extrává teszi ezt az összeálltást, az egy bizonyos Light nevű cégnek is köszönhető, a HMD, a Qualcomm és az előbb említett, egyébként kifejezetten szokatlan kamerás megoldásokra (többkamerás fényképezőgépek, utólagosan változtatható fókusz) szakosodott vállalat közös munkája ugyanis többek közt extrém nagy dinamikatartományt és részletességet eredményez a fotókon. Legalábbis a gyártó elmondása alapján, nyilván a gyakorlat majd kideríti, hogy tényleg ez lenne-e a kamerás telefonok királya.

Minden másban kifejezetten egyszerű felsőkategóriás készülékkel van dolgunk: A processzor már ugyan nem a legfrissebb, egész konkrétan “csak” a még mindig bivalyerős Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-ös került az IP67-es por- és vízállóságot élvező készülékházba, mely mellé 6 gigabájt rendszermemória jár. A 128 gigabájtnyi beépített tárhely illendő is a nagyméretű képfájlokhoz, amit a telefon az öt kamera képének feldolgozásából alkot, az már kevésbé, hogy mindez nem bővíthető. Szerencsére a Google Photos tárt karokkal és korlátlan tárhellyel várja a fényképeket, kivéve a DNG formátumú nyers fotókat - merthogy a készülék ilyesmit is képes előállítani. Ezek feldolgozásában az Adobe is besegít, az androidos Lightroom legalábbis kapott egy direkt a Nokia 9 PureView-hoz igazított szerkesztői módot.

S ha már PureView: A régi nokiás idők szerelmeseinek talán érdekes lehet, hogy a márkanév nem a kamera kedvéért, hanem a kijelző miatt tért vissza (meg persze a nosztalgia-faktor eladásokra mért pozitív hatásáért) a Nokia fogalomtárába. Az 5,99 colos, alul felül trendekre fittyet hányó kávákkal közrefogott, P-OLED panel 2880 x 1440 pixeles felbontást kapott. Ez alá került beépítésre az optikai ujjlenyomat olvasó és ezen “gyönyörködhetünk” a 9-es Android kezelőfelületének minimalizmusában. A készülék ugyanis az Android One kezdeményezés része - csakúgy, mint minden Nokia - így semmi extra módosítást vagy előre telepített felesleges programot nem talál majd az, aki megvesz egy ilyen készüléket. 

Vevőből viszont nem lesz sok. No nem azért, mert a készülék olyan borzasztó lenne - sőt, inkább ígéretes - vagy mert a hazai piacon 230.000 forintért túlárazott lenne  - egyáltalán nem - hanem mert állítólag a gyártó limitált, egyelőre nem közölt mennyiségben kívánja értékesíteni ezt a modellt, amolyan speciális kiadásként.
