There are usually three Full Moons between an equinox and a solstice (or vice versa). One per month. Sometimes, though, four Full Moons fall in a single season. When that happens, the third of a season’s four Full Moons is called a Blue Moon. By that definition, the next Blue Moon will occur on 18 May, 2019. That was the original definition of a Blue Moon, but another has since been ascribed to it: a Blue Moon can also be the second Full Moon in a calendar month with two Full Moons; this happens far more often. It is in fact going to the happen twice this year. Tonight's the 1st Blue Moon of 2018 & we'll get another one March 31st. Tonight's Blue Moon is quite special though as it also happens to be a Supermoon + a Blood Moon (Lunar Eclipse). According to NASA we haven't experienced this powerful Lunar Combo of Events in 150 years (!!!!) If you're sensitive, I'm sure you've been already feeling the build up for days, can't pass on this one, it won't let us lol & if you've got Leo in your chart you've probably been feeling everything extra for every placement. As I said... There ain't no fighting it, just make the most of it! 💁🏼‍♀️🌝💙🎑

Happy Super Blue Blood Full Moon in Leo, witchy babes! According to NASA, we haven’t had such a Lunar combo of Events in 150 years, so we could say this one is quite a doozy. Second Full Moon of the year & also of the month. It’s the reason it’s being dubbed a Blue Moon. Which technically, it is. According to the newer definition that is because in olden times, a Blue Moon was the 4th Full Moon in a Season, rather than the 2nd Full Moon in a month. As such, the ancient kind of Blue Moons are even more rare than the newly defined ones. We won’t be having any until 2019. Now, according to the new definition of Blue Moons, not only are we getting one tonight in January, but we’re getting another one in March. Which incidentally means we’ll be having NO Full Moons in February. What a trip. And a half. Either way, even though astrologically many don’t believe Blue Moons to have much of a significance, beyond the fact that they amplify the vibes of the sign it happens in – us witchy folk from different traditions around the world have found Blue Moons to be {.......................} The combination of Lunar Events happening tonight with this Super Blue Blood Full Moon in Leo are calling us to fully take in our lessons & move on forward with our life. Happy Super Full Moon in Taurus, witchy babes! This one is a strong one so if you’re sensitive and/or have Taurus in your chart you’ve probably been feeling the influence of this Super Full Moon in Taurus for days already. It’s an intense, no-nonsense, in your face kind of energy, as Taurus is. But there’s also the very grounding, nurturing + productive element to it that comes with Taurean Full Moons. Even more so if, like in this case, it also happens to be a Supermoon. A Supermoon is any time the Moon is closest to the Earth in its orbit & because of its angle in relationship to the Sun, looks much bigger than normal from Earth. During Supermoons you can also expect the effects of the specific Moon to be amplified. This is the first Super Full Moon of three consecutive ones we’re gonna have between now & January 2018. Happy last Full Moon of the year, witchy babes!

This one is quite the powerful one but its life-changing vibe comes with an unique delayed/drawn out effect. This is because today as the Moon became Full in Gemini, Mercury went officially retrograde. So, even though this Full Moon in Gemini it’s actually also a Super Moon, which makes her usual energy multiplied in strength – it’s normal to be feeling like, while major shifts are taking place there’s still a feeling of everything being up in the air, loose ends yet to be tied etc. {….}This is the second Super Full Moon of three consecutive ones we’re having until January 2018. It’s like a big wrap up to the year that got started with last month’s Super Full Moon in Taurus. And while that first part of this Supermoon Season lesson was to get clear on our life intent & our priorities in order, this second part of the lesson is more about learning to enjoy the ride, bumpy & intense as it might be at times & learn to surrender to life processes outside of our control while doing everything in our power to go in the direction of our dreams/purpose.

Happy New Moon in Scorpio, witchy babes! It’s all about deep, personal transformation & stepping up to our own truths with this one. You can’t really avoid it so I recommend not even trying, will be more painful. New Moons are all about beginnings + planning for the future. You can go with the flow of things or you can have a rough time dealing with all that will be inevitably changing pronto. We want to take stock & end things during the Dark Moon leading up to the New Moon & then our forces are best supported when we focus them on formulating action steps towards an upgraded future. And as it’s usually the case with Scorpio New Moons, partly because of the time of the year in which they happen, they are the culmination of what feels like a long, emotional journey by the time we get to this point. It’s normal to feel emotionally exhausted. The beauty of the Scorpio energy, if we’re comfortable in it, is that it has the potential to make sense of even the most mysterious + evasive of situations to help us move forward. Especially the sort that seem to have been dragging on forever. Scorpio likes things in order & will most surely tackle all long-overdue personal matters at once.
