Handsome lad recovering from his deballification surgery. He had to be moved to an isolation room because he kept trying to climb the doors.

He's very affectionate and likes to sit in laps. A little nervous but in all fairness we did just take his balls. I think it's very fair to be a little uneasy after that sort of thing.

Typical Saturday

Cleaned up cat vomit (both cats ate a bunch of grass yesterday during outside time), exercised, showered, gave blood (i have so much blood. So much!) finished off my beef and barley soup from last week and then put a turkey and a kubocha squash in the oven for dinner!

This tabby boy has been visiting around 10 am every day. I am slowly befriending him (with treats), although my girls are INCENSED that i am going outside to talk to another cat without them.

Love and kindness towards animals

I may look soulless on the outside. But trust me, im someone full of love, well not totally kind. And ofc, i won't deny the fact that i love animals more than anything. I have a soft spot in my heart for them. Personally, i see animals as something so precious and adorable. Sometimes i would even treat them as my own kids. I prefer cats the most tho.

Oh I'm steamed

My beloved notmycat Obsidian has been out and about again thanks to the good weather. For those who may have missed last year's saga or not remember, this is my neighbor's outdoor cat. I am not empowered to provide any care for this cat beyond sneaking him food and pets.

He showed up today looking like this after we hadn't seen him for a few days:

He's clearly been in a fight. The photo's a bit blurry because he wouldn't stop moving, and actually that's why I took photos to try and get a better look at it. But there are numerous closed over scratches and obviously a lot of missing fur. You can't see from this angle but it continues over his head, though not as bad as this side.

The wounded area isn't bothering him at all. He wasn't picking at it and he didn't mind us touching it. It didn't look inflamed. So that's relief. But how do you keep turning your cat outside after this kind of incident??

I know from intimate personal experience that some cats have an intense drive to be outside. I don't know if he's one of those cats. I do know we had a window open in our basement to air it out and he helped himself inside to the cat tree once lol. So I'm trying really hard not to be too judgmental. But I'm angry and sad on Obsidian's behalf. I hope the reason we hadn't seen him in a few days as they were keeping him inside and getting him vet care.

A friend of mine works with a rescue and pulled this mother and her two kittens from a hoarding house. She took them to get spayed and the vet called confirming that she wanted it done because “the kittens appear to be an exotic mix”

I know where they came from, and there’s no way there’s anything exotic about them. If anything they’re inbred.

So I come to you, cat people of Tumblr, for your judgement on what these cats could be. The mother is the one in pics by herself (and yes her feet are that tiny) and her kittens are in the other pic
