Mitsukejima (also known as a battleship island), is located in Iida Bay in the North Eastern Noto Peninsula. You can walk to the island's base if you are there at low tide. However, when we visited the site, it was just after the recent earthquake and the path was closed.
The island is also a famous site for lovers, looking for that special someone to visit.

Last year I traveled to Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. It was a very nice place and the town was beautiful. It is hard to believe that it was lost in the earthquake, but I am sure that it will recover. Beautiful scenery, delicious fish, and tasty sake. I definitely want to visit this place again.
Okay time to stop doom scrolling and go to bed. Gonna have to pause my NERV app. I can't keep hearing it go off for another earthquake every ten minutes. Fingers crossed for a really, really low death toll in the morning. My heart is hurting.
