teacup lore, by request!! (a.k.a. I've been wanting to talk about teacup for a while)

Teacup is Elias' pet copper-speckled crab, and she loves heated baths, something Elias can regularly take because they live at the Beth!

She was a gift from their spouse Harper Faraday a few Whitsuns ago!!

Elias absolutely adores the dear, and yes she will try to climb into any pool of water she can find, regardless of the fact that elias always keeps the tub full for her. teacup does not care, and is more than happy to clamber into the washing liquid for your dishes, or your laundry, or your hair, or anything. she hears water and it's time for her to say hello!! Luckily, the Beth's staff takes care of most things for elias, but they do wash their own dishes when they have time and energy.

she has, on one notable incident, made it down the Beth's dumbwaiter, and wreaked havoc in the lobby fountain until elias found her

she's very polite with her claws!!

she enjoys gentle scratching to the top of her shell, and will wiggle her legs and flatten herself when she's happy

and of course, Teacup gets along well with elias' lamp-cat Earl Gray

Are you named after anyone?

... It's already well-known who I was named after.

When was the last time you cried?

What kind of question is this? This wasn't in our write-up. Why would I tell an interviewer when I last cried?

Do you have kids?

I know that when I was 15 I'd go on about how much I wanted a family. Truth is, I might still, but... I used to have such assumptions about the future. At this age, I wouldn't mind adopting children.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

What else? Their feelings toward me I know too well. Everyone knows I'm disliked, it's true, but what's unbearable for me is...a certain kind of worry.

What is your eye colour?

Everyone knows I'm red-eyed. Our hearts bleed and infect everybody. ...Oh, you meant what was? Yes, yes, my eyes were a gorgeous dark brown, once. Swear I've brought up a million times by now. Ugh. Upset with you? Yes, I am, actually. >:(

Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings especially for romances are cute and all, but isn't it nice when someone you like grabs your arm because they're scared? >:)

Any special talents?

Cloud-surfing. Literal clouds, I mean. Not as good as Raj and his piano skills, I know. ...What? Aren't you well-warded? What's with that stress point between your eyebrows? You know, I did like bothering Alejandro and seeing if anything around him would catch fire only two or so years ago. Isn't that a special talent, knowing how to turn the Protector's temperature up? I suppose everyone knows I can dance, too, when I think about it.

Where were you born?

What? You can look that up on a wiki. What's with some of these questions? Are you troubled I know Alejandro's temperatures?

Do you have any pets?

Now I miss Sally...my baby. 🥺

What sort of sports do you play?

In the past, Alejandro kept dragging me to so many of his games and kept pulling me into playing them, too... Oh, you winced. I knew you would. Anyway, I'll never lose at the oceanic arts, but I sometimes miss those days I'd have to manage crazy goals and all those annoying hoops.

How tall are you?

Oh, I stopped keeping track after 18. I wound up a bit shorter than Alejandro and Diego in the end--stop wincing so much. I think I'm around 186 centimeters. Isn't Alejandro 188 centimeters? I'm only 20 though... Maybe I'll still catch up to or surpass them.

What was your favorite subject in school?

Astronomy. History, too... Sometimes I miss running around and looking for artifacts the way I used to.

What is your dream job?

I know the fame of several Chandrani family members persists, but... I don't find it terrible to do our family's calling, you know. Many of us have been, of course, most obviously alchemists, but also translators, rune decoders, teachers, computer scientists, historians, archeologists, and the like. I'm pretty content with the ocean depths and all my books. ...No, I'm not lying. Who even are you? When I think about it, when was the last time anyone would interview m--

Cal: (warmly but not without trepidation) Down, boy. If I die between now and the end of this nightmare, I promise you can be the first to cut me open.

Gale: There are far less... invasive methods, I assure you. You might even learn something.

Cal: Ugh. Yeah, I'll think on it. Only try not to look quite so excited about it.

Astarion: For the record, I've known you were undead all along.

Cal: I'm not undead, I'm just... not fully alive. It's a bit of a legal grey area. Or so it's been explained to me.

Astarion: I wasn't aware there was a legal distinction. Then again, I suppose it has been a while since I've practiced. At least you don't have that undead smell about you.

Cal: (exasperated) You sure know how to make a girl feel special, don't you.

Wyll: For whatever it's worth, Cal, I'm sorry about your current predicament. I know what it's like to feel trapped like that.

Cal: (suddenly embarrassed) Sorry? You're not the one who killed me, or the one who trapped me in a weird necromantic indenture.

Wyll: Someone should apologize, if nobody else will.

Cal: .... You're sweet. Don't lose that, yeah?

Cal: Well — yeah, actually, that too.

Cal: Have you ever wondered if there's some deeper meaning to your desire to stab me? Like maybe the penetration of the blade is symbolic of something else?

Shadowheart: No. I don't.

tell us more about remiel and eziah!!!

OK SO. IF YOU INSIST!!!

Remiel and Eziah are another branch of the Stranger Happenings universe[because boy strange things sure do keep happening!!]

I wont get into the like.. meta of how they work but know they are Angels and serve, or served in Eziah's case, a being they call God. Whether this is THE God is up to debate.

Eziah ended up falling from Heaven after becoming a little bit too vocal about their displeasure with how things were being run and how cagey the Arch Angels where in regards to why God hasn't spoken to it's creations in so long. They were stripped of wing and rank and tossed from the metaphorical pearly gates and down to earth. Their halo remains unbroken though.

Eziah also held the mantle of Virtue of Justice, so their fall was probably the biggest deal of a fall since ol Lucy himself got stabbed through the chest by Mikey.

Remiel, a Powers Angel from Michael's flight was Eziah's sworn brother, essentially a ritualized friendship. They trained together, fought together, roosted together, preened each others wings, bathed in the light of Heaven together. The two of them even popped into existence in the same group, like it was meant to be! Unless on separate missions they where inseparable, practically attached at the hip.

And Remiel, she took Eziah's fall hard. It was like a personal betrayal of everything they had together. It wasn't just that Eziah had failed God, they'd failed her as well. All angels are zealous, but after the fall Remiel became particularly fanatical in order to try and salvage her reputation among the host.

Needless to say she had loved them deeply, perhaps more so than what is acceptable among the host.

Remiel now seeks to slay Eziah fully in hopes that by returning their divine energy to their creator they may be saved. Eziah on the other hand is doing pretty well on earth, they have a little farm and raise chickens. I wouldn't say they're happy but they're doing ok.

Eziah also at some point helped a bunch of humans trap some Angels on earth who where attempting to bring about a second great flood but uuuh don't worry about that right now, that's a story for another day.
