Issho and Dadan’s snowy day out!

From top to bottom and left to right, 1-4:

3. Issho and Dadan are sledding through the air away from a steep and snowy jump though a dark pine forest. Issho is laughing as he holds Dadan around the middle, and Dadan is screaming and holding onto the sled for dear life. But Issho will land them safely!

4. Issho and Dadan are trying to hold hands, but Issho can’t thread his glove’d fingers through Dadan’s mitten. Dadan says “Oh, sorry! I’m wearing mittens. But we can still hold hands!” To which Issho replies “It’s not the same”. There’s also a tiny white heart behind them. The background is a smudge of blue, and this picture is only the upper half of their bodies. Dadan looks perplexed, Issho looks sad.

#OPMarinesHolidays Day 1: Couldn’t decide between Misfit and Home so I chose both. Maybe Issho visits Mount Corvo for his holiday vacations! Because maybe Dadan is home to him. Tried making it look somewhat aged because it’s their first holiday together 💜🧡

@opmarinesweek​: for the “undercover” prompt I wrote a canon-divergence fanfic featuring Corazon (I won’t ever get enough of this character).

Rocinante infiltrated his brother’s crew as an undercover marine spy expecting to hate him—and he did at first. However, one night he ventured into Doflamingo’s room and saw something that would challenge his view of him forever. Covert Rocinante knocked on the door, but his brother didn’t reply. He waited patiently for a while before entering the room anyway: Doffy wouldn’t get angry at his little brother’s audacity.   After another moment of hesitation, Rocinante approached his brother from behind: he expected to find Doffy reading, as he usually did till late at night, but instead found him sleeping. Doflamingo’s glasses were on the windowsill next to his armchair, and a book was resting on his lap.   Rocinante stared at his face for a moment, pondering what to do. Should he try to arrest him on the spot?   No, that wouldn’t work.   Probably, Doffy had one of his puppets hidden somewhere in the room, guarding him. So, Rocinante just looked around in search of some wine, beer, or whatever may help him sleep. He saw a couple of bottles on a barrel and made to take one when he heard his brother moaning in his sleep. He turned to look at him, and what he saw left him shaken.   Doffy was crying, his face contorted into a painful expression. A moment later, he shouted and opened his eyes.   Rocinante froze. That was the first time he looked at his brother’s eyes, and those red, tormented eyes were not a monster’s.   Was I wrong…?   Doflamingo panted for a good minute before calming down and turning his glance to him, his eyes still unfocused.   Rocinante forced himself to act normally. “A nightmare?” He wrote on a piece of paper.   Doflamingo nodded. Then, he picked up his glasses with a slightly trembling hand and put them on, burying his fears behind them.   “I have them too sometimes,” Rocinante wrote on a new piece of paper. “I couldn’t sleep, so I wanted to ask you if you have some spare booze.”   “You can take anything you want,” Doflamingo told him, standing up and handing him a bottle. “Just try not to drink too much—you have a mission tomorrow.”   Rocinante took the bottle with a nod and left the room, as silently as he had stepped into it—and into his brother’s weakness. However, his heart was screaming at him. Was he doing the right thing?   No, I cannot let what I saw sway me.   Rocinante would follow the plan and stop Doflamingo—even to save him from his madness. After his discovery, though, he wondered if his brother was aware of being just a human being despite posing as a god.   We both put up a façade and wear a mask to survive.   Rocinante would never forgive Doflamingo for killing their father, but he understood him a little better now.   I silenced my voice, and you concealed your soul.   After emptying the bottle he got from his brother, Rocinante finally fell asleep. --- Like Doflamingo, Rocinante also had a nightmare that night: he was a child again, weeping as cruel flames menaced to devour him—an event that had happened for real in the past.   But for the first time in that recurring dream of his, Rocinante felt his brother’s tears too.
