Octonauts octoagents headcannons!

1:paani once got a very bad fever from being in a dessert for too long he hasn't recovered from said fever, and peso was so confused about how he wasn't incredibly weak

2:professor natquik once got mistaken as some artic foxes dad and they wouldn't leave him alone plus he didn't want to break the news that he wasn't so he just played along

3:when calico jack got shipwrecked, he didn't know where to find food, so if he found food, he would treasure it and only use it when needed he eventually learned where he could find food

4:selva was first seen as a threat to the vegimals when they first met her after they thought she was putting tominow in danger shellington had to convince them she meant no harm

5:koshi once took dashis camera as a kid and took lots of pictures of birds and animals she found interesting dashi wasn't mad at her for it intact dashi was impressed

6:Pinto once tried to race but failed and got hurt, Peso immediately went to his rescue he had a busted flipper for a while, which disappointed him

7:When Pearl found out her twin brother (shellington) was allergic to sea urchins, she would yell at people who thought he was lying about his allergy

8:ryla thinks that Dashi loves tweak more than her but doesn't judge Dashi, because she thinks that she isn't cool

9:Bud once accidentally broke one of his buildings/machines (idk) and was very upset with himself he never forgave himself for that

10:min used think that old/ancient maps were wrong because they weren't made in the modern day

11:Marsh told Tweak when she was a kid when she asked about "where her mom was?" he replied, "She's away, but I'm sure she'll return," not wanting to make tweak upset

12:tracker is near sighted and when he first got glasses he outright refused to wear them which was a mistake (obviously) and he later learned that he needed to wear them

13:Periwinkle(dunno if this counts) finds his uncle to be the coolest octonaut because he has the most facts about fish, and when he met the vegimals he was exited about having cousins even though he couldn't understand them

14:Bianca would take her kids to the octopod for captain barnacles to watch over while her and her husband would go on dates

okay so i havent watched all of above & beyond but here me out:

i want an episode where koshi is put incharge to babysit pinto and periwinkle.

id think koshis like 12 - 14 or smth, like a young teen and shes also the oldest of the kids in the series (i think pintos like 10/11 in above & beyond, with perriwinkle like 5 or 6) so realistically she'd be put incharge sometimes, like the oldest cousin at a family gathering.

she's nice like dashi but i want to see how long it takes for her to snap.

or they just run around austrailia and all three of them get into shinanigains where its like

What's the weirdest thing each Octonaut has ever heard Angel say in her sleep?

Long answer alert, because I decided to include snippets of Rise and Fall in some of my answers.

 😥 Worst memory? Angel’s worst memory with the Octonauts is actually meeting them! She loves them now, but well, here’s what happened when she first met them:

“POLAR BEAR!” she screamed at the top of her lungs. “Oh, my God! Oh, my God!”

“Get away from me!” the child yelled. “GET AWAY!” Her heart was like a jackhammer and all she could think was, This polar bear’s going to rip my face off!

“Don’t be afraid-” the polar bear began.

However, the girl wouldn’t listen. She just kept screaming and thrashing.

She kicked with one good leg and knocked into a nearby table. Several pieces of medical equipment crashed to the floor. Not that she even noticed. She just snatched up whatever she could get her hands on and started throwing things.

She gave a yelp as she experienced a sharp pain. She jerked her head to the left and there was the penguin, removing a needle from her arm.

“What are you-” she cried.

“It’s all right”, he assured her gently. “It’s just something to help you relax.”

He was right. She’d lost the will to fight. Her body relaxed a little and the cat eased off. However, her mind couldn’t relax when she noticed something she definitely should have noticed before. She dropped a bandage roll in shock.

“Did you just talk?!” she questioned softly, gaping at the penguin.

“Aye”, the cat confirmed. “He did, matey.”

The girl whimpered loudly. This couldn’t be real! Animals couldn’t talk! And where were all the humans? This had to be a dream, right?

“Easy now.” The polar bear raised his paws and the human flinched, as though he were about to hit her. He knelt down. “We’re not going to hurt you. We are the Octonauts.”

 “Can- Can all animals talk?”

“Yes”, everyone responded in unison.

The girl tossed her head back. “This isn’t happening!” she moaned despairingly. “I’m having a bad dream! That’s it! I’m having a bad dream!” she repeated much louder. She slapped herself in the face a couple of times.

“It’s all right”, Peso repeated gently. He’d moved away from her and was picking up one of the mugs left by the rabbit. “You’re not having a bad dream.” (So, this was real? That was even worse!) He held out the mug to her. “Do you think you could tell me your name, please?”

She swallowed. “Angel. My name is Angel.”

“Pleased to meet you, Angel.” The polar bear smiled. Angel let out a soft whimper. Evidently, the feeling was not mutual. (Still, she seemed to be doing all right since he’d backed off and she’d been forced to relax.) “I’m Captain Barnacles and this is Kwazii.” He gestured to the cat. “And you’ve met Peso and Shellington.” He indicated to the penguin and sea otter.

“I’m afraid you’ll have to stay here for a little while”, Peso continued. “A week, maybe two, but if you keep warm and get plenty of rest, you’ll feel better in no time.”

“And then we can get you home”, Captain Barnacles finished.

“I don’t have a home!” Angel blurted out. “Not anymore!”

The second those words left her mouth, she wished she could take them back. Everyone in the room stared at her, sad, concerned.

“You don’t have a home?” Peso echoed sympathetically. “Why not?

A brief silence followed.

“I don’t want to talk about it”, Angel repeated adamantly.

“But we can’t help you if you don’t tell us what happened”, the Captain pointed out, not unkindly.

Yet, Angel shook her head stubbornly and looked at Peso. “I’m tired. Can I go back to sleep?”

“Of course.” The medic nodded. “You need to rest.”

“We’ll be back later to check on you”, Peso promised.

Angel rested her head against the pillow and closed her eyes…

Then, as soon as she heard the door shut, she opened them again. She wasn’t sleepy, not even a little bit, but, in the fifteen minutes she’d been awake, she’d had a lot to take in. Her head was spinning from it all. She just wanted to be alone.

I am alone, she realised, her heart breaking.

She let out a sniffle. The tears fell softly at first, but then they came hard. What Angel did was well beyond crying. She put the pillow over her head to drown out the sound of her loud, anguished bawling, but everyone heard.

Little did they know, she’d just lost everything: her family, her home, all of her possessions and, given whom she had just met, her sense of what was real. She wasn’t sad about it, though; she was hurting. On top of that, she was very, very, very scared.

What was she supposed to do now?

Biskit 🍪 – do they like fish biscuits? Angel loves fish biscuits! Here’s her trying a fish biscuit for the first time:

“I thought you might be hungry”, the otter explained, offering her the tray.

As if on cue, her stomach growled very loudly. Shellington laughed, but Angel didn’t. Instead, she looked at the food on the tray. They appeared to be little biscuits in the shape of fish. They were kind of cute.

She picked one up and turned it over in her hands, studying it. “What are these?” she wondered.

“Fish biscuits”, Shellington answered. Well, that made sense. “Try one. They’re delicious.” Remembering how nervous she’d been about drinking the hot chocolate, he took one to show her they were safe.

Generally, Angel was a picky eater and liked to have an idea of what she was eating. This time, she was just so hungry. Besides, the hot chocolate hadn’t killed her and she may not have trusted everyone she’d just met, but she trusted Shellington. Tentatively, she took a crumb-sized bite.

Immediately, her eyes widened in delight. These fish biscuits were nothing like anything she’d ever tasted before! She scarfed it down, simultaneously reaching for another.

Yay ❤️ - Where were they during your favorite episode? I’ll pick another favourite episode: ‘Urchin Invasion’. Angel joins the Octonauts in meeting Pearl and Periwinkle. She’s excited to meet Pearl (the two of them had heard a lot about each other) and thought Peri was just precious!

She helps clear urchins out of the kelp forest and when they’re all asleep in the GUP-A that night, I imagine she reaches out to take the Captain’s Octo-Compass, but he has to stop her.

Which brings me to Angel’s sleeptalking. I’ve tried to think of the weirdest thing each individual Octonaut has ever heard her say!

Captain Barnacles: “Meatball, meatball, spaghetti on the meat! Ravioli, ravioli, give me the formuoli!”, followed by, “Ravioli, ravioli, I want to die-ioli!” (Yes, this is from SpongeBob, but it also came up in one of my dreams.) This happened in the ‘Spectral Tarsier’ episode of Above and Beyond. The Captain and Shellington took Angel with them to help Kwazii, Peso and Tweak, but just let her sleep in the back of the Terra-GUP 1.

Kwazii: “I’m disgusted with myself.”

Peso: “Don’t let the ghosts smell you.” (She woke him up and whispered it right in his ear. It still haunts him!)

Shellington: He also heard the ravioli thing, but for the sake of variety, I’ll say, “Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po.” (He has no idea what that means!)

Dashi: “I don’t have pants on! I don’t want to have pants on!” (Angel had been sleepwalking and actually didn’t have pants on!)

Tweak: “It’s like Tweak says: Real friends are made of friendship and cinnamon.”

Tunip: An entire speech about how it was her idea to donate half the money Harry Potter made to monkey research because she saw some monkeys flinging faeces and she wanted to find out why.

Professor Inkling: She woke him up, all excited, to tell him she’d found out where boogers come from.

Bonus: When Professor Natquik found her out in a blizzard, following some Adelie penguins in her sleep, he asked her what she was doing. She told him to mind his own business and go back to Peru! He's never even been to Peru!

Phew! That answer turned out to be even longer than I thought!

It’s Pearl appreciation hours!

Look, I just love her so much. She’s a great scientist, and she’s a great mom as well. And I love her sibling bond with Shellington.

I was originally going to make this a “Shellington and Pearl being the siblings ever” post, but I decided Pearl needs time to shine on her own in my blog. She’s an amazing character— not because she’s related to one of my favorite members of the original crew, but because she’s just really cool. I always enjoy rewatching the A&B episodes where she appears.
