Headcanon:

Barny is smart, definitely, but there's a reason we don't see him handling the more techy stuff. He just, won't get it. He knows the basics; calling, texting, looking things up, but that doesn't mean he's super up to date with much other than that.

If they have a group chat and anyone is using abbreviations the poor man is lost until someone explains it. After that he's good and will even put them into practice when he remembers to, but otherwise he's just confused.

Though, there's no helping him understand Kwazii's jumbled abominations that are messages. It's like he's trying to combine pirate slang, abbreviations + the unholiest grammar known to any language. Oh, and random keyboard smashes.

BOOM! Sudden Octonauts post! Bet you weren’t expecting that huh? XD

Anyway yeah. I was thinking about that thing I did a while back where Calico Jack goes to the Everglades to help Ranger Marsh and they become instant best friends. And while I was thinking that I was like “Yo.. what if.. Professor Natquik was there too-” And thus this post was born XD

Its low effort after the day I’ve had, and I’m not happy with how Professor Natquik came out.. but I still think its funny none the less. XD Also I think I just need to keep experimenting with Natquik until I find a look that fits. Right now he looks like a weird grey Foxy that isn’t immediately recognizable..

Anyway, enjoy the random Octonauts post! :D There is the potential that I’ll draw more of these three idiots, but please don’t ask me to continue any Octonaut comics/AUs I’ve made in the past :} 💙
