Resketch of Showdown Bandit characters (part 1)

The only thing that can ease Oddzball’s constant pain and sadness are butterflies. Used a quick sketch I made to practice how to paint digitally. It's not perfect but it turned out better than what I would have expected. Working on the fur was also oddly relaxing.

Inktober 2021 - Day 20 - 'Sprout'

I of course utterly adore my Pumpkaboo, and I love the Applin, Breloom and Morlull lines. But I always go back to Gloom. I can't explain why, but it's just my fave grass type Pokémon outside Pumpkaboo. Stinky, sleepy, drooly plant ball.

I always name mine on the lines of 'Oddz-', like 'Oddzball' , 'Oddzmoon', 'Oddzspore' etc.

*Oddzball had heard about Samson from Dorothy and how he was, so he did something unexpected, when Samson was asleep Oddzball had put make-up on his face (lipstick and all), he dressed Samson up like a girl and put a bow in his hair. Then later, Oddzball brought Casey and Dorothy close to Samson* Oddzball: *he giggles* I added some new touches to Samson! *they hear Samson wake up and walked in their direction, Samson looks at them, Dorothy and Casey looks at him before crying with laughing*

This is an OC I made a little while ago, Oddzball is his name by he also gets called Oddzo. He was and still is friends with the Faceless Bandit, how you may ask? well...he wasn't very popular with anybody throughout showdown valley. people didn't pay attention to him which had made him feel sad and lonely all the time. It was until he was leaning on the side of his box, daydreaming due to how sad and bored he became until the faceless bandit had seen his box, Faceless quite liked the colors of Oddzo's box and his entire appearance. When he’d seen Faceless he looked kinda scared at the big individual and went to hide back in his box when the Faceless puppet began talking to start a conversation with the box puppet. Oddzball decided to start chatting back to the older puppet, soon they both started getting along with each other, then...Faceless finally asks if he would be friends with him. Of course, Oddzball accepts, but then later on...his creators had put Oddzball asleep (in a sleeping way, not death) and locked him inside his own box. This caused Faceless’ grief and one of the reasons he became aggressive. He likes: circus acts and circus magic, making new friends, making other puppets smile, pranks, puns, Humor shows (tv shows, etc), Showdown Bandit (he has never met him but really wants to), feeling included, surprising other puppets, Faceless Bandit's company.

He dislikes: Being left behind, the faceless bandit being aggressive, Faceless hurting Showdown, seeing Bandit getting hurt, seeing others getting hurt, hurting other puppets, Frenzy, feeling sad.

Here is my one of my final Showdown Bandit ocs (for now), his name is Vincent Greers and his age is unknown (because he is secretly a robot). He had different sorts of weapons built into him, including blaster guns and laser guns built into his back, a blaster cannon built into his right arm, mini guns built into his shoulders, missile guns built into his legs and spikes built into his feet. When he is using his weapons his eyes will usual change to this (www.pinterest.de/pin/433612270…)  meaning that he has gone into protection mode. He isn't in a relationship with anyone... but is very, very close to Dorothy (his backstory will explain why), he is also good friends with most of the main characters of the show (except for Faceless) along with Oddzball, Mother Dove, Myra, Vivian, Carrie, Luther, Fannie and Maude. He is a foot taller than Corbin (Corbin's height is 7'5). Backstory: Vincent wasn't exactly born or made by the puppeteers, it had been another puppet who had made him...or...it's more like a certain...Dog-wolf puppet to have made him, and that dog-wolf puppet was Dorothy. It was once she got used to Showdown Valley that she wanted to build him because she knew where she could get the right materials, she even found an abandoned warehouse where she could work on him too without being noticed. It took her weeks to find scraps of metal, bolts, and other supplies to start working on Vincent, then...partway through she had also made three different memory chips for him, the first one is to give Vincent his own personality and emotion, the second one is for health care, and the third one is for a special "protecting and defending" mode. When it was finally time for her to place the chips into Vincent and she had finally finished building him after a long while she hadn't realized that the protection chip wouldn't be able to handle when Dorothy activated Vincent. "alright, I think...he is ready for activating" Dorothy said as she finished placing the chips into her new robot before sealing up his chest with a final piece of a metal plate. Then, she slowly began to slip off her dark blue gloves and tuck them into her pocket, her fluffy brown paws reveal, suddenly her paw were surrounded by a blue aura and the heart gem on her chest began to glow a bright rainbow color, Dorothy slowly closed her eyes before putting her hands against the robot's chest. Within seconds, Dorothy's electrical magic rushed through her body and into her hands, the magic being passed through into her new robot's body, Vincent's eyes and earrings glowing a dark green color. But, as the magic finally reached to the three chips she had placed inside of the robot, the protection chip had begun to glow red and begin to malfunction, the red glow grew brighter and brighter until Dorothy had finally noticed and quickly took her hands away, she slowly began to panic. "O-oh no! one of the chips must've not been able to handle my magic, I need to remove all of those chips before-" but just before Dorothy could finish her words the glowing red chip inside of the robot suddenly send a sonic wave of red electrical metallic blast toward her, blasting her back and sending her flying into a wall as she was blinded by the red light for a few long minutes, the light stinging her eyes. Then, the red glow in the robot's chest had disappeared and Dorothy's electrical magic flowed through him before the robot had slowly came to life, the glowing of his eyes and earring fading before the robot took a look of his surroundings. He finally noticed Dorothy who was on the ground, still trying recover from the blast, he didn't know who she was and began to approach, thinking that she might be able to explain to him who she was. By the time Dorothy had fully recovered and was finally able to see again she saw her robot standing right infront of her, staring down at her, it made her feel afraid...she was scared he would attack her, she did make him much, much stronger than her and could easily snap her neck like a tree branch. But...the robot just kneeled down in front of her, he could sense that she was fearful of him and gave her a soft look, "hello...who are you?" Vincent spoke, his voice as calm as can be, giving Dorothy some assurance before speaking up, "uuh...my name is Dorothy, I...um...I kinda...made you" Dorothy shakily spoke, unsure of how the robot would respond. This caused Vincent's eyes lit up, "so your my creator?" Vincent question, his voice came out in a somewhat ecstatic tone and Dorothy softly nodded, Vincent knew she was telling the truth and his system suddenly registered her as an important person to him and that he would protect her, care for her and listen to her and her only. "creator: detected! self objective: keep creator healthy and protect her!" a voice from Vincent's program suddenly spoke before Vincent grabbed Dorothy gently and helped her up, Dorothy's balance was slightly off so she was forced to hang onto Vincent. Vincent made sure to hold Dorothy so that she wouldn't fall and once she got her balance back he gently let her go, Dorothy then had realized that Vincent would also need proper clothing to make him fit in with the other puppets in Showdown Valley. Dorothy found that there were some old pieces of ragged clothing within the abandoned warehouse and put them on him, making sure to hide any signs of Vincent being a robot before finally taking him outside. Every since that day, Vincent had slowly began to manage a little bit on his own, get cleaner clothing and socializing with a few of the puppets within Showdown Valley, he even got his own home and got Dorothy to stay with him so that he could watch over her and make sure she would be safe with him. He swore on his life to protect Dorothy no matter what, even if it meant dying...or taking some other puppet's life..., and...he and Dorothy had made sure that nobody else in the Valley would know about Dorothy creating Vincent. 

He likes: Helping out with tasks for his friends, small inanimate objects that make sounds (like bells or instruments), seeing others happy, staring out at a lake (it soothes him somehow), any sort of clowns (cute or creepy, he doesn't care), puns and pranks (he even has a sound effect maker so whenever anyone says a pun he plays this sound effect (www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRs0Oq…), making sure Dorothy is in good health (like if she's sleeping, eating and other things), and making sure Dorothy feels safe.

He dislikes: When someone tries to interrupt the tasks he is doing, when his friends get hurt (by puppets like Fowler, Vernon, Otto, Betsy, Elsie, Showell, etc), being forced around by someone he doesn't know much, whenever something or someone interrupts Dorothy while she is resting, if Dorothy gets hurt (even if it is just a small cut), when his earrings get touched (they are actually small trackers to help him find his way through the Valley), and when he gets asked questions that he doesn't want to answer.

Here is another SB oc I have made, her name is Carrie Lancaster and she is a performer (she sings and dances for the puppet in the saloon of Showdown Valley). She is 37 years old, she has a cyan pistol (like this www.pinterest.nz/pin/476397085…) when she necessarily needs to. She is good friends with most of the folks in Showdown Valley, like Showdown, Lorelei, Penny, Doc Carver, Banker, Dorothy, Oddzball, Mother Dove, Cashmere, Finnley, Corbin Croc, Myra, Vivian, Luther Galloway, Maude Galloway, Fannie Richmond, Vincent Greer and a few others, she is kinda friends with Faceless but...doesn't really talk to him as much(mainly cause she doesn't know where he is half the time.) She is taller than Vivian by two feet. 

Backstory: Carrie was one of the first ever puppets that had arrived in Showdown Valley before the show began, it was the puppeteers that had planned for her to be one of the most popular performers in the Valley. As more and more puppets had arrived, Carrie had began to socialize with the new coming puppet and become friendly towards them, she sung and dance to make them happy. Then, when the Valley's saloon had finally opened up she was the one assigned by the puppeteers to singing and dance for the fellow puppets that decided to come in as they drank, gambled, and even slow danced to Carrie's singing. But, it wasn't just her singing on her own, she also had other assigned puppets musicians that played their instruments to the songs Carrie sang, this also began her bond with them too. Soon, the saloon began to slowly grow more and more popular as new puppets were added, Carrie eventually caught wind of who they were, Doc Carver..., Banker...,Lorelei Undertaker..., Penny Hemsworth..., Showdown Bandit..., and the Faceless bandit. Carrie hadn't quite met the six of them in person before despite hearing a lot about them from some of the many folks who made small talk with her every now and again, but...it was one day in particular that she had got a very...unexpected visitor. It was like a normal day for her, the saloon was packed full of puppets who came to drink and gamble as usual, she had stepped onto the stage to sing and dance like she had done every other day when...a big, gruff looking bandit in a torn grey cloak had stepped inside the saloon. At first the bandit seemed to look very normal but... as he walked inside the saloon...he hardly even had a face, instead...he had big cuts where his eyes and the rest of his face would've been and even a few cuts on his jaw too. Carrie then began to notice how most of the folks in the saloon had now cleared completely out of the bandit's way as well as seeing the fear in their eyes but, she had just sighed and gestured to the musicians to start playing. Once Lancaster had began her performance she noticed that the bandit in the grey cloak sitting in one of the bar stool and was staring right at her, she tried to not make it noticeable that she had looked right at him, though for some reason it had kinda...bothered her in a way and made her feel nervous. A few hours onward, she had finally finished her performance for the day and got herself ready to go back to her home, she packed up her things, got given her pay backstage before heading out the back exit of the saloon, it was a quick way of her being able to get back to her home. But, as she was slowly making her way back home...she felt like she was being followed, she just tried to brush it off and continue to make her way back home, then the moment she finally reacted the front door of her house...she could hear heavy and threatening footsteps behind her and the moment she did she pulled out her keys as quickly as she could and unlocked it, she swiftly went inside, she went to shut the door only for it to be blocked by a foot in the door. Carrie had then quickly threw her stuff onto the ground and away from the door so that she could use both hands to try forcing the figure out of the door but...suddenly the shoved open with such a force that had sent poor Carrie falling to the ground with a skid. She saw the figure step inside and begin to walk toward her, she panicked as she scrambled to find the nearest weapon she could grab, she felt along the ground for anything she could grab until she had grabbed one of the floorboards to reveal a sharp bladed weapon underneath. Just as Carrie grabbed the blade she felt a big hand grab a hold of her leg before pulling her toward them, as soon as the person had pulled her close enough she aimed the blade at them, it turned out to be the big bandit she saw from before with the torn grey cloak. Carrie breathed heavily, not knowing what exactly the Faceless male would do to her, it seemed that he was kinda offended as Carrie pointed her blade at him, so he grabbed her arm with one of his big one, "jeez...what gave you the need to pull that on me? I though that maybe you'd be more welcoming...", Carrie shook her head. "well maybe you shouldn't have followed me back home like that! you really creeped me out, you know?" she sternly spoke back at the grey torn cloak wearing bandit, Faceless realized that he may have acted a bit like a creep trailing behind her like that. He apologized for his behavior, she forgave him but made sure to tell him to not do it again, then...that seemed to somehow lead into a very long interesting conversation that left the both of them talking for ages. After a while the Faceless man had to leave the area, remember that there would be a chance of him getting caught by another puppet, and so...that is where Faceless and Carrie's distant friendship began.

She likes: Writing, playing card games (despite being very rusty), Singing and dancing, being on stage to perform, helping other puppets look nice (only for puppets that she is nice to), making other puppets happy (when she performs for them), being there to help someone with problems (both physical and mental problem and being understanding about it), and being able to stand up for other puppet's rights. She dislikes: Otto (she gets angry because he spreads rumors around), Frenzy (she doesn't like him), when her friends get judged or hurt by another/other puppet/s (others puppet are Dr Nepolean, Fowler, Showell, Betsy, Otto, etc), other puppets wanting to pick a fight with her, when the performing area around her is invaded by an annoying puppet, and when other puppets try to ruin her performances.

So I decided after making a fusion of Lulu and Oddzball that I wanted to also make one of Casey and Dorothy. This is what I think Dorothy and Casey Grimm would look like as a fusion.

Oddzball was inside his box, he could hear someone nearby, it was Rookie, he waited for her to walk over before the handle on the box began to turn by itself but before Rookie could react the lid of the box flew open and Oddzball sprung out before wrapping his spring-like arms around Rookie into a hug before shouting "NEW FRIEND!" then he let out a cute giggle.

Never surprise Rookie, her first instinct will be to attack

So...I decided to do a fusion of Oddzball and Lulu, this is what I think they would look like as a fusion, it took me the whole day to sketch out and color ^^
