PORTWELL LONG GAME OR RINA SLOWBURN.
You can only choose one poison.🍷
Listen up my Wildcats.🐱
We all ship each character with happiness. No matter how much you love to hate them, a majority of us simply adores the characters and want the best for them. Then comes relationships and it's okay to ship our favorites.⛴
I'm a diehard Rina shipper and I know in my heart that they are series endgame. The set up, the natural chemistry, their mutual understanding, the surprises and angst literally put me on chokehold. So I'm 100% a Rina shipper till the end. I'm here for the slowburn and their development rather than one shots. They are worth the pain. 😭❤
Let me start with Ricky Bowen now.
Ricky shouldn't to be with Gina because he's hurting her mentality. He's not insensitive on purpose. Like when he tried to stop Big Red from telling her his message to Nina because he KNOWS it'll hurt her.
If you think, that Ricky didn't understand clearly when Gina confessed, think again. He shushed her. Kept their thing a secret from everyone. He knows he feels some type of way and she feels something too. But this boy is so used to safeguarding his childhood norms and has very little adaptability. Hence, he pretended to ignore everything between them because his home stability was falling apart and he clinged on to Nina, his constant childhood love.
He's a traumatised 16-17 year old boy that needs to heal and grow. This episode was heartbreaking because he had to accept that he had to let Nina go because their once upon a time fairytale had become toxic.
People change. I'm not the same person I was when I was 16 lmao. Being together as childhood lovers means growing together and accepting each other's growth. Which Ricky couldn't. He clutched to the idea of Nini. Even his love confession. It was sooo sweet but all he did was focus on their history.
This boy needs time to heal and maybe seek professional therapy. It would be so DAMN HISTORIC if Disney decides to take psychological issues seriously and show how he's dealing with his anxiety, pills and psychotherapy. He needs to breathe before he can be with any girl for that matter. He's hurting and isn't trying to hurt anyone on purpose. Including Gina.
Him asking her for advice on Nini was a dumb, insensitive move. But he's trying to find a way to build some supportive friendship that they shared in early season one.
As for now, this boy needs to get his own grip on life and heal.
As for our Queen Gina
In Gina's confession, she focuses on their future. She basically said, "I wouldn't quit on a possible future of us being together despite obstacles. Because I never quit. But moving away isn't in my control." Ricky deep down knows this, encouraged her to say it, teary eyed, despite right after getting back together with Nini. Gina is his future. She went to his new house. And I also have this feeling that when she was given a chance to stay, she stayed partly because of Ricky. She left a chance to be with her mom because she prioritised their relationship. Because she never quits. 💪🏼
But she came back and found out Ricky has gotten back together with Nini.😭 What she doesn't know is Ricky got together with Nina before her confession, and after Gina kept dodging his messages. She's hurt and questions why she returned because she isn't particularly close to anyone. Hence, she was so silent at the after party. She thinks it'll be fine, "she'll live", and finds other reasons to find permanence. Her arc this season has been settling down in East High, despite the pain of losing and being 'betrayed' by Ricky, she finds other reasons to stay. 🏡
This kind of contrasts her with Nina. Nina left her dream school and came to Salt Lake because she missed her established home, and not just because of Ricky. Nina returned and was loved and embraced by Ricky Bowen.💕 Gina came back to a semi new place called Salt Lake because of her promise of a future to Ricky. But she got stabbed and she bled. 💔🗡
Think about her situation. She feels confused, alone, heartbroken, out of place and seperated from her mom. She's broken and hurting too. And she doesn't need more from Ricky's accidental or intentional 'sick burns'. That's the one line where he was such a jerk and I can't defend him here. 😠
Here comes the Caswells.
Her second family. A place of healthy stability. A home that accepted her. Ashlyn, her roomie and her confidante. EJ, the misunderstood boy who saw her value and bought her plane ticket.
Let's get to EJ.
At first, I wasn't too keen on seeing Portwell's development. But then that video chat where they talk about the possibility of her staying and him convincing her. Had me sold for a solid brother-sister relationship. Few episodes later, when Gina's pain seemed to be oblivious to everyone, he was the only one who asked her how she was, and saw her glow. The comfort she must've felt.
Not that she needs a man's validation, but she must be feeling like a second choice and feeling a little insecure because of Ricky. But EJ lifts her up and I genuinely saw her smile. This boy has her back whenever. The man she can lean on and truly sees how special she is. She no longer feels alone now that she has his entire fam and other friends. She genuinely feels a place of belonging and happiness when she's the apple of his eye. Notice how happy she is? How happy this boy is? She's going through her own issues and she has found ground with EJ.
I was very doubtful when they started hinting at a romantic direction. Because EJ would be used as plot device again for a girl to get to Ricky.😤 This man doesn't deserve to be second best to anyone, just like Gina.😑 That's why I'm still hesitant on shipping them at least temporarily. EJ needs to be something even more special to Gina. They need to show each other how special and treasured they are to each other despite feeling like rejects. They are each other's source of comfort.
I'm sure they can keep EJ at East High for the next season. Whether it's the drama club, or the AV club or going to a local college. So he will be there for Gina. I don't know how they can work out a relationship with much distance as Rini's fell out when she moved away. So, if EJ leaves again, it'll again shake up Gina. Her being worried whether he'll date college girls, second thoughts, etc. I don't want them to go through that. And if they do move on to romantic Portwell, make sure it's not plot device for Rina. So you can either have Portwell endgame or Rina Endgame.
Basically I want Gina to be treated so right that she understands she doesn't need Ricky. And when he does ask her out, and he makes her feel like a second choice or a rebound, she says NO. Because EJ has helped regain her self assurance. Eventually I want Gina to confide in EJ about her and Ricky. EJ is jealous but also angry about how Ricky has been hurting her. And becomes damn protective of his 'babe'. Ricky gets jealous of their relationship, restarting Ricky and EJ's old rivalry. But this time, it's not because Gina is his girlfriend, but because she's EJ's best friend who he has a crush on and wants what's best for her.
If it's meant to be Rina endgame
EJ- RICKY, YOU IDIOT! You have no clue how to treat her right. You don't put her first. You mislead her. Get the hell away from her! She's too powerful and beautiful, she doesn't deserve your scraps. I know how she feels for you. I wish I were you. I would treat her like a queen. I don't mind even waiting years till she's ready. She deserves that. You're so lucky you have even a small chance that I may never have. So get your act together, prove you're worth it to win her over. All I want is for her to be happy. Even if it's with someone else. And maybe then I'll stop threatening you to stay away from her.😠
Ricky- .....I don't know what I'm more scared of. Change, or losing the girl I fell for or YOU. Okay, losing her but you're a close second.😬
If it's Portwell endgame.
Ricky- I messed up. Make sure you don't mess up with her. You'll regret it forever.
EJ- I'd rather get hit by thousand basketballs than ever hurt her. I'll be her plus one and her best friend until she's ready to be with me. I know she's ready now too. But I want her to know I'm willing to wait till she graduates before we make it official. I'm in it for the long game.
As for their age gap. I'm 100% sure Portwell won't kiss this season. If they do, it'll be next when Sofia turns 18. They are professional actors who are cast because they are the perfect fit for the role and are expected to carry out the storyline. But I suppose fearing some outbursts, they might delay Sofia kissing anyone till next season. It's so weird because Olivia was maybe 17 when Matt was 21-22 when they kissed in season one. But no one had a problem with that. But for this, they do. Remember, they are professional actors. They are acting! Sometimes, actors are over 10 years apart (but above 18) and act as romantic partners.
As for their characters, they are only two years apart. That's hardly any difference once you're over the age of 18. Age of consent is 16. But adults above 18 are only allowed to have sex with adults above 18. So, age isn't a problem here because EJ is a gentleman and is genuinely interested in her and isn't trying to get in her pants. So age isn't the issue when it comes to dating. It's the maturity. Gina is very mature and gives very sound advice. But I can see EJ being patient enough till she turns 18 just to kiss her because he loves her. 😚
As for the Ashlyn remark, "You look like a kid to me rn". He was JOKING.😂 Don't take things out of context. I tell my cousin sister that all the time. But she's three years younger than me and a grown adult. I don't see her as a kid but it's just a cousin teasing her younger cousin that's she's a little immature. I'm Matt's age and I'm very mature for my age and since I was a teenager, I always matched up with boys a little older than me. Now that I'm in my early 20s, I've dated boys even close to 30. So age is just a number.
EJ dating Gina and giving her quick kisses is fine. But to have a strong sexual element in their relationship (including making out), he'll have to wait till she's 18+. And I'm sure for that he'll wait till she's ready even past her early 20s. Age is really just a number and we can't help who we fall in love with. Trust me, I've been there.😂 So I can see EJ feeling conflicted about his feelings that are clear at this point.
They might not be a perfect fit, but they make each other sooo happy. They deserve a lot more than a short lived fling.😟 They are either endgame or Rina is. You can't have both as a Rina unless you're an EJ hater who wants him to exist as plot device. Nope! He's sooo much more precious than that.
But Jack on the other hand....I'm okay if he's the one to make Ricky or EJ jealous. Because he's just been introduced and it's okay if a character is used, but only once, for someone else to realize their feelings. 💁🏽♀️
In short.
Ricky needs help and needs to be on his own. No girlfriends allowed.🙅🏽♀️🚫
Needs to give both Gina and Nina space for them to grow on their own too.🌳
Ricky needs to understand the core of his problems and become more adaptable via therapy. Maybe the psychologist will point out his unresolved feelings for Gina, or he will conclude it himself. And in comes Ricky-pining-for-Gina season three.
Ricky needs to fully get over Nina before he moves on to anyone. Same for Gina if Portwell were to happen. No one deserves to be second choice.
Gina isn't Ricky's cushion. She's a living person with strong feelings for him and shouldn't be subjected to share his pain. She already struggles with her own issues.
Ricky needs to stay single till he wins back Gina and prove he's worth it. He needs to show even if another girl wants him, he'll never quit on Gina ever again. Even if he has to watch her be with someone else. *cough parallels*.
It's either romantic Rina then Portwell endgame OR Portwell flirty besties but Rina endgame. You and I can choose only one because my boy EJ shouldn't be used as plot device for a girl to leave for Ricky ever again.
Portwell's age difference can be practically solved and isn't much of an issue unless they get hot and heavy before Gina turns 18 which is impossible considering this is Disney. 🤣🤣
Jack and Gina will be plot device material and purely so sentimental to us OG Andi Mack fans. More than any ship, this is what I'm looking for. Sort of an Andi Mack crack ship for season 3a. It's gonna be soooo funny. 😍😂
I respect everyone's ship. I see what you're seeing. And I'm not going to invalidate your ship. But unless it's done right, I won't jump from the Rina ship. I liked Rini. I like Portwell. I like AU Juffy crackship haha.😂 But as for me, I'm still holding on to Rina slowburn.
Preparing myself for the pain. 😭🔥
(But if I had to pair two characters without Disney getting in the way, it would be Gini. The power duo. Undeniable chemistry. They can be written so well because of their layered relationship and contrasting personalities.🤩 The classic rivals to friends to lovers. But that's a talk for another day lmao.)
Thanks for reading my opinion, Wildcat!🐱❤

Part 3: THE WEDDING
"It's okay, you're gonna be fine," Seungcheol throws a smile at you as you both stand at the front door of his parents house. You continue to smooth out your beautiful champagne coloured dress and touch your hair out of nervousness.
You are here. At his parents house.
The door is opened by a maid who welcomes you into the house. You both step in and take off your coats and you follow Seungcheol to the huge living room, where his mother sits with a book in her hands.
She squeals seeing Seungcheol, adoration crossing over her features as she wraps her arms around him and kisses his forehead. "You're here! I was worried you wouldn't show up!"
"You deserve a chance to get to know ___. She's amazing," his compliment brings warmth in your cheeks as he pulls you closer to his side.
His mother grins looking at you before pulling you into a hug, "Yes yes, of course." She kisses your cheeks before a soft bark comes from behind you and you turn to see a white fluffy toy poodle, wagging it's tail, eagerly staring at Seungcheol. The man in question grins before picking it up, "Heyy, Kkukma!"
"She's our family dog. Loves Seungcheol a bit too much," Seungcheol's mother explains and you smile, nodding before gently petting the dog who licks your hand in return.
You laugh. Seungcheol kisses Kkukma's forehead before announcing, "You guys continue chatting. I'll go play with Kkukma."
You swallow, watching him disappear into the garden and his mother grins at you, "Let me show you around."
His mother walks you through their elegant house while asking about how you met Seungcheol and such. You speak the rehearsed lines and she believes them easily, making you feel somewhat bad for the poor woman.
"Seungcheol really isn't good with women, you know," his mother says while you're served a cup of tea after finishing the tour.
You offer a smile in reply and take a sip. She continues, "He used to like a girl quite a while ago. Told me that he wanted to marry her. But sadly, she turned out to be a leech who was using him for his money."
"That's... awful," you frown. Seungcheol never told you about it. But then again you're his fake lover and you mentally curse yourself for getting too much into your role.
"I take it he didn't tell you about that," She smiles. "Don't worry, he's long over her. That just made him shut himself out more. He assumed that all women were after his money but I'm glad to see he found someone like you."
You cringe inwardly. You too, are here because of money more or less. You are doing all this because he promised you a shop.
"Me too," you agree with her, playing along. She smiles. A sound catches both of your attention and you see Seungcheol's father standing at the entrance of the living room, his wary eyes casted on you. You almost choke but quickly redeem yourself by standing up and saying hi. He disregards you completely with a grunt and walks away murmuring something unintelligible.
Seungcheol's mother sighs loudly, "I'm so sorry about him."
"It's okay, I understand. Seungcheol told me about him." You mutter.
His mother offers you a sad smile. "He's been so mean to Seungcheol. To us. It was my mistake that I married that beast."
You say nothing, just stare at the cup in your hands.
She continues, "I would have divorced him long ago but he would have taken full custody over Seungcheol. I couldn't win against a man like him and I couldn't loose Seungcheol."
"I see," you whisper. His mother gently holds your hand, "I sincerely hope you won't take his words to heart. He has always been like that. Nothing we do can make him happy."
You offer her a smile, "It's really okay, Mrs. Choi."
"Minsoo, please. You're gonna be me daughter in law soon," she smiles sweetly at you. "Which reminds me! We need to set a date!"
Warmth spreads on your face as you smile, "Yeah..."
And so she starts discussing with you about the dress the venue and such and you find yourself enjoying her company. She's kind and gives full attention to you and it fills the void created by your own mother. You know you're going to miss this woman after you're divorced.
-
Everyone gathers at the dining table during lunchtime, including Seungcheol's father. The environment is tense as Seungcheol takes a seat beside you, opposite to his parents.
Seungcheol drops a kiss on your temple and smiles at you, flashing his dimples and you almost melt into a puddle right there. Shit, have you got it that bad?
His father's eyes bore into the two of you, clearly disapproving.
Lunch starts as Seungcheol's mother initiates conversation with her son about work. It goes well for a while- you enjoying the served food and listening to them talk- until Mr. Choi decides to break it.
"What does your parents do?" He throws at you.
Seungcheol frowns, "Father-"
You stop him by squeezing his hand and smiling at him, "It's okay, babe, he should know."
Your eyes meet Mr. Choi's, "My mother separated with my father a long time ago so I don't have contact with him anymore. My mom runs a restaurant at the suburbs."
Mr. Choi is unimpressed, you can see it in his face as he seems to judge you even harder. Mrs. Choi, however, has a different reaction, "Oh dear! It must have been hard for your mother. I'd like to meet her sometime soon."
You smile at her, "My mom kind of isolated herself after the divorce but of course, I'll let her know."
Shit, you haven't even told her you're getting married yet.
Mrs. Choi's smile is kind as she resumes eating. Mr. Choi scoffs before grunting, "I still don't understand why you chose her, Seungcheol. I know you've always been stupid but now I know you're on another level, choosing her out of all women."
Wow. You're left dumbfounded at his straight forwardness. Beside you, Seungcheol grips the fork tight as his mother tries to chastise her husband. "Hyungmin, watch what you're saying!" she shrieks.
"What?" His glare is intimidating. "She's neither rich nor pretty. Your son could've had a better looking woman yet he-"
"Enough!" Seungcheol seethes making you jump.
This...isn't gonna end well.
You open your mouth to stop Seungcheol but he bangs his first on the table, teeth gritting, "What is your problem?" He glares at his father.
"I should ask that to you." His father is expressionless.
"All my life I've tried to be a good son, I tried to be good to you no matter how much of an asshole you were to me, to mom. I've accepted that you hate me, I've no problem with that but for once in your life, can't you be supportive of me?!"
His father scoffs, "How can I when you bring a thing like her?"
Seungcheol looks like he's ready to jump on his father as he bellows, "I swear to fucking God-"
"Seungcheol!" You grab onto his arms, trying to stop him as Mrs. Choi starts sobbing.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
"This is why I don't like coming here!" Seungcheol hisses at his mother before jerking free from your hold and marches away.
Seungcheol's father stands up, rolling his eyes, "And you expect me to hand my company to him?" It's directed to his wife.
Angry tears steam down Mrs. Choi's face, "He'd be a better president than you ever were! Your company has come this far only because of my son!"
Her words land on the back of Mr. Choi who blatantly ignores his wife and walks out of the room.
The room is silent except the sounds of Mrs. Choi, trying to get her tears under control. You hand her a tissue and sit silently, watching her dry her eyes.
"I'm so sorry," she says, her eyes casted down.
You offer her a small smile. Mr. Choi's words hurt you, definitely but it's not the end of the world. He's gonna be present in your life for only a small amount of time.
"It's alright, Mrs. Choi, it really is."
She sighs, gazing upon you, her eyes filled with...love. She stands up to embrace you in her arms and holds you there; your head to her chest as you listen to her breathe.
It's comforting and you feel a tear slip down your eye.
-
Seungcheol walks you all the way to your door like the gentleman he is. His mood is still sour and the car ride was filled with tension. You couldn't really blame him though.
You smile at him, "His words doesn't matter to me. I hope it's the same for you. You don't need to be stressed about what he says to me."
He looks at you, those rich brown eyes looking exhausted and he does something you never expected even in your dreams.
He hugs you.
His strong arms are wrapped around your small frame, your head pressed to his chest. Your heart beats furiously in your chest.
Is this really happening?
You inhale his scent deeply and when you wrap your arms around him too, you can't bring yourself to care. You want to feel him, to hold him. So you two just stand there in front of your door in each others arms for a long time.
"Would you like to come inside?" Your voice is small and shy as he pulls back to look at you. Shaking his head, he does yet another surprising thing.
"Can I kiss you?"
Holy mother of gods-
Your face is on fire, undoubtebly. Your mouth hangs low as you stare at him. Did he just...
He takes your silence as yes and leans in to press his lips against yours. They're soft and plush and he tastes somewhat bitter and sweet from the wine you had at his parent's house. It's addicting and you can't help but moan. He only dives in deeper, kissing you with such passion and need that you're left breathless.
He pulls back, his smoldering gaze on you and licks his lips. You swallow. Your panties are wet, fuck. You want to climb him like a tree but you can't bring yourself to move, locked in a trance.
A gentle kiss is pressed to your forehead that brings you back to reality and he mutters his goodbye, hurriedly ushering you in.
After you're in the safety of your home, you touch your swollen lips, mind traveling back to the kiss.
He kissed you.
Choi Seungcheol kissed you.
-
"Yes, I'm getting married," you repeat once more to your mother who stays silent on the other side of the line.
"Mom?"
"That's... sudden," her calm voice floats through. Yeah, and I'll be getting divorced too.
"Yeah, we've been dating for more than a year and yeah...he proposed me."
"Wow... nice." She pauses. "Did you fix a date yet?"
"Um, not yet but it's in the next two or three weeks. Also...Mrs. Choi wanted to meet you. Maybe...you could come and visit her sometime...I don't know." There's an awkward tension- it always has been ever since your dad left.
"I'll see if can manage time," she says.
"Okay..." You're about to hang up but her voice wavers through, "And send me a picture of your rich fiance."
"Oh, yeah, I will."
-
SOME WEEKS LATER
Jane squeals seeing you step out from behind the curtains. You're almost ready with the gown on and your makeup done, only the veil left to be put on.
"Oh my god!" She screams with glee, a grin on her face. "You! Look at you! Oh my god!"
You look gorgeous, undeniably. The wedding gown is almost too beautiful to be real and an expensive purchase, selected by Mrs. Choi. Your makeup and hair is done neatly and you almost don't recognize yourself. Jane only squeals from behind you time to time, saying how amazing you look.
"You're forgetting that this isn't a real wedding," you remind her, your tone bitter than you intended.
Jane raises a brow, "Why do you sound sad?"
Warmth covers your face, "I'm not!" It is a cheap lie, you do feel sad and you know that deep down you wished this was real.
Shit. You've got it really bad.
"Aww, babe," Jane hugs you tightly. "It's okay, it's gonna be okay. Who knows, Seungcheol may fall head over heels for you after seeing you in this."
You roll your eyes, "Not even in my wildest dreams."
A knock on the door interrupts you and your mother steps into the room, dressed in a cream colored dress, her hair neatly done. It has been a while since you last saw her dressed up.
"I'll leave you two to talk," Jane excuses herself, stepping out of the room.
"Hey," you smile tightly. She returns it. "You look beautiful," her words are short and her eyes are teary. There's a short silence before she sighs loudly,"I know I haven't been the best mom...but I'm really proud of you, I hope you know that."
You sigh; you really don't want to cry before your wedding- fake wedding. "It's okay," you give her a small smile and sit down in front of the mirror, "Can you help me with the veil?"
She steps in behind you and starts setting up the veil on your hair, speaking, "Seungcheol is a nice guy, I had a chat with him earlier. He'll take good care of you."
You resist the urge to heave out a sad sigh. Instead you grin as brightly as you can, "I know, right."
She finishes putting the veil on you and you stand up, looking at the mirror, gathering all the last bits of your courage.
"I could walk you down the isle you know...it doesn't always have to be dads," your mother whispers.
"It's okay, I'll do it on my own," you avoid her eyes. This is a fake wedding and you don't want her to walk you down the isle, no. Maybe when you get married for real one day- but not this time.
Giving your mother a quick hug, you step out of the dressing room.
The isle looks dreadful. Walking on a path full of thorns bare feet would've been easier. Seungcheol stands at the other end, his full attention on you. You inhale deeply and take small steps towards him- all the while his eyes on you. You are intimated and in the back of your mind you can't help thinking that this was a very bad decision. You feel pathetic. A bride without anyone to accompany her down the isle. A greedy woman agreeing to a fake marriage. A liar, lying to everyone through your teeth.
Each step only gets harder to take and after what feels like an eternity, you reach the end, stopping in front of him. His face doesn't give away anything. A small part of you wonders if he thinks you look beautiful- you hope he thinks that.
You take a step and get on the wooden stage with the help of his extended hand. The priest begins the ceremony. All the while, Seungcheol's eyes are dark, glinting like a predator who has finally captured his prey.
He smirks. "I do."
With tears burning in the back of your eyes, you repeat after him, overwhelmed with emotions.
When he leans in for the kiss, you forget to breathe as your lips meet and he kisses you softly yet passionately. The guests cheer for you and when you look at them, you see joy, contradicting to what you feel. For some reason tears threaten to slip but you smile, forcing them away.
One fake marriage can't end your life.
-
You enjoy the rest of the ceremony more than you thought you would, all the worries slipping away from your system as you watch everyone celebrate. Time to time you take peeks at Seungcheol to see him staring at you- his eyes dark and intense, sending a shiver down your spine.
You've spent a good amount of him hanging out with him during the weeks before your wedding, either at his apartment, yours or a nice restaurant. You've only found yourself more drawn to him as you spent more time and after each date ended you wanted him to kiss you like he did after that visit to his parents' house. Unfortunately for you, Seungcheol kept his hands totally off you, only giving you quick forehead pecks as goodbyes.
As your eyes connect, sitting next to each other after the dance, you find yourself craving for him. You want his hands all over you.
Is that wrong?
-
A sudden, new wave of embarrassment hits you as you enter the limousine after the ceremony. Seungcheol helps you get in before entering through the opposite door as you quickly collect your beautiful dress together and sit quietly, staring at your lap.
It's almost 9 o'clock and the traffic has faded away. Seungcheol is taking you to his penthouse, a place you've only heard him talk about, a place he said you'd enjoy living in.
You wonder how the next couple years would be. How will it be like to live with him? Will you sleep in the same bed every night? Will he even enjoy sharing his house with you? What if he hates having you around?
"Are you ignoring me?" Seungcheol's voice pulls you back to reality.
You try not to appear shy and flustered, "Huh? No, no I'm not."
"You've been awfully quiet since you've walked down the isle."
"Just... thinking." You reply meekly. Damn it, why do you feel so shy?
There's a silence as Seungcheol looks out the window, hands under his chin. You take the moment to appreciate his profile, ogling him unashamedly. You really, truly, want to be in his arms. And you should probably get your head checked.
"Do you regret doing this?" He asks suddenly.
"No! No, I do not," you protest to which he nods, understanding.
After a beat if silence his hand gently cups yours. You stop breathing. "I'll try to make your living as comfortable as possible. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any problem." His expression is serious and you nod, throat dry. He smile is soft, showing just a bit of his dimples as he holds onto your hand, not letting go. You try to calm your breathing which proves to be an impossible task whenever you look at your joined hands.
After almost an hour drive, the limousine stops and your breath is sucked out as you get out of it. In front of you stands a huge building with the fanciest design and you can't wait to see what's inside. Seungcheol helps you with your dress and casually holds your hand as you both walk into the elevator. It heads for the seventeenth floor and during that whole period of time Seungcheol doesn't let go of your hand. When the elevator stops and you both step out into a large lobby, leading to his penthouse. Seungcheol swipes the card to open the door and it's only after you step into the apartment that he lets your hand go.
You probably look like a deer in headlights as you gawk at the beautiful home, equipped to unbelievably expensive appliances and delicate designing. With high ceilings and full length windows and beautiful pieces of furniture and marble fittings it's too pretty to touch.
All the while Seungcheol's eyes are on you, amused at your reaction. "You like it?" He grins.
"I...wow," you're speechless. "This is...huge." You say dumbly. Seungcheol laughs heartily before once again taking your hand, "Let me give you a quick tour."
And so he does, showing you around the house, the huge kitchen connected to the living room, the library, the study room the guest bedrooms and finally stopping before the master bedroom.
A king sized bed lies by the huge windows. There's a closet with an amount of space you could only dream of. The master bathroom is almost the size of your studio apartment and a wave of embarrassment hits you. Will you ever get used to this? You only feel more embarrassed when you remember that this isn't yours forever.
Shit, ___. Get a grip.
You plop down on the large fluffy bed and pry off your heels from your aching feet. You watch as Seungcheol stands in front of the dresser, slowing undoing his bow tie.
There's a small moment where you both lock eyes before you cough loudly, trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach. Instead you quietly take off your earnings and reach for the buttons behind your dress- except, your hands can't reach them.
Seungcheol sees you struggling, "Let me do it for you." You almost let out a squeak, feeling shy and excited. You stand up as he appears behind you and starts to unbutton your dress, slowly.
It feels like eternity as you stand, holding your breath, blood pumping loudly in your veins.
Seungcheol's deep voice sends shivers down your spine, "There, done." He says that but doesn't move from behind you, his hands resting on your shoulders as the cool air hits you back. You, too, seems to be stuck on your place as you can't move a muscle. Your conscience slaps her head, what the hell is wrong with you?
"Did I tell you how beautiful you look?" Seungcheol's mouth is extremely close to your ear and you can't help but squeak, warmth spreading through your body like wildfire.
"You look lovely, so beautiful," His voice is deep as he strokes the column of your neck before turning you to face him.
Your eyes are wide like saucers and your face is on fire, literally. Just being this close to him, with none around, makes your brain stop functioning.
He leans in and captures your lips in a kiss, without any warning whatsoever. Your tongues collide and you let him take the lead, his hand grabbing your ass, unashamedly.
"Tell me if you want me stop, I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"No!" You grab onto his broad shoulders and pull him towards you again, meeting your lips once more. Of course you want him. You've wanted him since God knows how long.
While peppering your face with kisses, he pushes down your gown for you to step out of it. The cold air makes you shiver as you're left in a lacy white underwear with garter belts. Seungcheol's eyes move over your, taking in your figure. He swallows before pushing you down onto the bed and climbing over you, hurriedly taking off his suit jacket and shirt.
His eyes are locked on yours and your heart is beating a mile a minute. He looks like some god, his black locks messy and his chiseled face staring down at you, his strong body on top of you. You can't stop yourself from ogling his torso when his shirt comes off, leaving his toned muscles and biceps for you to see. Before you know it, you're reaching out to touch him. Your fingers dance over his chest and abdomen before your eyes meet and Seungcheol groans, cupping your face for another kiss.
He's quick to strip you off your bra while literring your neck and chest with kisses and bites. After fully undressing you and taking yet another unembarrassed look at your body Seungcheol asks, "Are you sure?"
You whine, needy and impatient, "Yes, please, Seungcheol. Fuck me." You're surprised at your own eagerness but it only turns Seungcheol on, a devilish smirk on his lips.
"My pleasure sweetheart." He whispers before going down between your legs.
-
Soft morning light hits your face, waking you up in the process. It takes a while for you to assess everything and you feel your body, especially lower half, ache deliciously- an aftermath of the numerous orgasms Seungcheol gave you yesterday night.
A strong arm is wrapped around your waist from behind, making you feel warm and safe. You sigh, playing with the wedding ring on your finger.
You're married now. To Choi Seungcheol. Shit.
Instead of letting your mind start overthinking, you gently turn around to face your husband, careful not to wake him up.
He lies there, fast asleep, his beautiful features relaxed, the morning light giving him an angelic glow. Before you can stop yourself, you're reaching out to stroke his face, your gentle fingers tracing his skin. He's so soft, so beautiful. Your heart constricts, thinking about how much you want to spend the rest of your life in his arms.
You'd be more than happy to be by his side, sharing a home with him, helping him whenever he's in need, making a family-
A sudden realisation that you tried to bury all this time dawns on you, bringing tears to your eyes.
You're in love with Choi Seungcheol.

One or The Other | Sugawara K. Ending
W A R N I N G !
This is the one of the endings. If you haven't read the main story, please..
[ Go Back ]
Filing inside the bus, you excused yourself for a moment to Coach Ukai and Takeda-sensei, as well as Daichi, wanting to talk to the bed-headed captain. Finding your way towards the team of cats, you tense up at the gazes you received. He took notice of this and smiled at you.
"Alright team, go on ahead, I'll catch up." Kuroo said, pushing a teammate who was playing on his portable inside the bus.
"You're going to tell her?" It was hushed but you managed to pick it up. You hoped it wasn't what you thought it was.
He didn't answer as you waited until everyone was out of hearing range, "Uh… hey?"
He chuckled at this, ruffling your hair, "So, what do you wanna talk about?"
"I want to thank you and your whole team, especially Coach Nekomata for inviting Karasuno to this training camp," You bowed, a smile plastered on your lips.
"It's fine. Besides, I'm looking forward to the battle of the garbage dump at the nationals, so make sure you guys win." You both shared a hearty laugh, Kuroo stopping first as he noticed something in the distance, chuckling awkwardly, "Man, that setter of yours surely knows where you're at."
"He's glaring up at you again?" You were about to turn around when he stopped you.
"Hey now, don't turn around. I think he doesn't want us to notice him just yet, so let's let him be," You nodded, still confused at the current situation. Kuroo seemed to pick it up from your facial expression, "I think I know that look he's giving us right now and I'm going to guess that it's jealousy."
"Sugawara? Jealousy? Now that's something you usually don't put together," You shook your head, looking at the captain. You could tell that he wasn't joking around like he usually does, making you clench your hands, another unknown feeling rushing inside of you, "No wait, r-really?"
"And if my assumption is right, I'm going to go for it and say that he likes you." Silence engulfed the two of you.
You cursed at yourself, choosing the wrong time to be at a loss for words. You haven't thought of Sugawara like that until now. You blushed as images of him flash inside of your mind, the unknown feeling fluttering around the spaces inside of your heart.
"Oh? You just realized this? That must be why Daichi asked for my help!" You did a double-take as he laughed out loud, that weird sound erupting from his mouth made you laugh as well.
Sugawara's brows furrowed, clicking his tongue in annoyance. He knew that by now, the bed-headed captain already took note of his presence. It wasn't like him at all to eavesdrop, not like he could hear anything from where he was at. But, hearing you laugh, probably because of what Kuroo said, made his mood drop drastically, a frown on his lips. Did he take his time because he was afraid? Yes. Did he think that he was too late? Maybe.
"S-so, Daichi asked you?" He nodded, wiping away a tear in his eye, the laughter dying down, "What for?"
"Seeing that you're quite the oblivious person yourself, I think he wants him to make a move. Well, I couldn't object since you're pretty cute," You felt your cheeks grew warm for the second time today at the compliment, "I mean, I'd ask you out if you didn't live in Miyagi and I don't think we'll last with the distance and stuff. So friends?"
"Y-yeah, sure! That's also what I wanted to talk to you about too. Damn, and I was really nervous talking to you about this. Don't wanna break a heart, you know?" He ruffled your hair once again, taking a step towards his team who was waiting inside the bus.
"I should go now. And I think you head off now before I die with all the glares your boyfriend's giving me." You slapped his shoulder playfully, giving him a pout.
"H-he's not my boyfriend…" It was muffled, gazing down at your shoes.
"Yet. Well, I'll text you later (y/n)!" You waved back, a hand on your pounding heart, threatening to leap out and run towards the person who stole your heart without you noticing. Yet.
"(n/n)!!" Turning around, Sugawara ran towards you, waving and a grin plastered on his face. Why did it take you so long to realize that his smile was just as bright as the sun?
"Hey, Suga! Sorry, did I make you guys worry? Daichi probably asked you to come and look for me, didn't he?" He scratched the back of his neck.
"Kind of. C'mon, it's going to be a long drive back home."
Walking back, he couldn't help but glance at you every minute or so. Sugawara saw the thoughtful look in your eyes as he grabbed your hand, "Huh?"
"Are you okay? Did he say something to you?"
"I'm fine. Just thinking, that's all. The spring interhigh's around the corner and, even though I'm not playing, I'm starting to get a little bit nervous." You told him, earning a smile.
"You got me worried for a second there! I thought he rejected you or something!" He was glad that Kuroo didn't hurt your feelings. At least, that's what he believes, that you have feelings for the captain. And he's fine with that. As long as you're happy, he's fine.
"Worried? Shouldn't you be more worried about the team? We've got the most penalties during this training camp!" He giggled, stopping the both of you from the walk back towards the team. His voice, you noticed, was silvery; clear, light and pleasant to hear. You could easily get lost in it, the same way you needed a map whenever you gaze into his eyes, "A-and rejected? Nothing like that happened, I mean, no one confessed or anything. I just thanked him for the opportunity his coach gave Karasuno, that's all."
It was silent for a while until Sugawara spoke. His voice was shaking a bit, clearing his throat, making sure it was clear.
"I guess I should tell you now before Daichi kills me for delaying for far too long… And to be honest, I can't hold back any longer..." Both his hands held yours, thumbs drawing circles. You could feel a faint blush forming on your cheeks.
"Oh? W-what is it?" You mentally curse yourself for stuttering as you look at him, trying your best to stay focused.
"Uh… This is really harder than I thought it would be…" His head lowered a bit, brows furrowed in thought. He was mumbling to himself, seeming to momentarily forget that you were in front of him, "Should I just say it? Or maybe explain why… But it'll take too long and he'll get mad for being late… How about--"
"Suga, are you okay? You do know that you can tell me whenever, right? Whatever this is about, I'm sure Daichi will understand if you tell me some other time--"
"W-what? No wait, (y/n), I.. He won't-- I mean, I-I L-LIKE YOU..!!" His eyes widened at his words, surprised that he finally confessed after all these years. Dread followed soon once he realized that it could end badly for the two of you, "Y-you don't have to say anything, really, especially since I've put you in an awkward spot, I think.. Ah, if you're uncomfortable about this, then please forget everything I said."
You try to stifle out a laugh, hand placed on your mouth. It was cute seeing this side of him, "Why should I forget everything when I like you too? I've just realized this if it weren't for Kuroo pointing it out. So, if you'd let me, I'd like to find out how you managed to steal my heart without me noticing."
"... (y/n), we've got all the time in the world, we don't need to rush. I'll wait." You pulled him to a hug, Sugawara freezing up for a moment before snaking his arms around your waist and burying his head in the crook of your neck.
A comfortable silence engulfed the two of you. Your scent filling the third year's nose, making him realize that everything that has happened was real, that he wasn't dreaming. And without thinking, he raised his head, his lips slowly approached yours. It was soft and light, a slight pressure as he kissed you, not wanting to make you any more uncomfortable by that one bold move he pulled off. You returned the gesture after recovering from a moment of shock. It surely felt like a dream. It lasted for a few moments before breaking apart, foreheads touching as your breathing mixed. Suddenly, a voice rang in both of your ears, breaking the silence, making the two of you jolt in surprise "OI, YOU TWO! EVERYONE'S ALREADY THERE WAITING!"
"Coming!" Sugawara replied, intertwining your hand in his, pulling you to where the team was.
Entering the bus, the second and third years had a teasing look on their faces. Sugawara sweatdropped, knowing he would be answering a ton of questions from his friends. But it was worth it, you were finally his, and he was happy. More than happy.
"Took you long enough." Daichi hit the boy at the back of his head, Sugawara nervously laughed.
"Y-yeah. I might have worried over nothing but hey, I did it. I told her and she said yes, sort of." His haze landed on you, talking with your fellow managers.
"Sort of?"
"Let's just say that I have to make sure that she acknowledges just how much I like her while I fall for her over again," He relaxed onto his seat as you turned around to look at him, a smile on your face. Returning the smile, he spoke mostly to himself, "Man, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world."
"It's because you are. (y/n)'s really something else, you better take care of her."
It took me three years to take my chance with you and I’ve been such a coward to make you wait this long. But I’m glad I did or else I’d be in pain, faking a smile, seeing you happy in someone else’s arms.
"I will."

Seungmin's Wedding
My 1 am syndrome attacks me again and the only way to make it disappear is to let out what's on my mind. I would like to dedicate this fic to two amazing people: @straykidsftw and @maaaaaatryoshka0325 who inspired me to write about stray kids even if I am a multi-fan. Hope you and the rest of the people who will read this will like it.
Weddings should be an exciting moment, if not nervewracking, for everyone who is getting married. But for Kim Seungmin it is otherwise.
Yes, he wanted to get married. But later on in his life. Not at the very young adult Korean age of 20.
You see, Seungmin is still happily enjoying his life. An idol who performs on stage, a host of a show and most of all, in a relationship with his girlfriend, Y/N.
It took a lot of patience for Seungmin to get where he is. The trials he had to go through in the survival show and then the urge to confess to Y/N when the dating ban on Stray Kids was imposed.
He and Y/N met at JYP. He was a trainee, she was on the production staff of MNet and was older than him. It all started when Seungmin left something in the room where they shoot for an episode and Y/N was the one who found it. Since then the two became close, then mutually close. Even Seungmin's co-trainees (now members) could notice it and they teased him, yet supported him.
"Come on Minnie. Why don't you confess to her? It's pretty obvious she like you too." Hyunjin asked.
"It's not yet the right time." Seungmin replied.
Minho suddenly put his arm around Seungmin's shoulders and smirked at him.
"Of course it's not yet the right time. We have a dating ban. Unless you are planning to throw this idol dream of yours away, which will make me happy too." Minho added and went away immediately.
"Aish, that Minho. You know I really want to give him a punch in the face. He always try to start an argument with you!" Hyunjin complained, pulling his sleeves up his arms and ready a fist.
"Not worth it Hyunjin. Not worth it."
Time went by and then JYP lifted Stray Kids' dating ban after a year of their debut. Even if Seungmin prepared so much in a long time, all the courage he mustered went to putty when he confessed to the girl he likes.
"Y/N noona. We are friends for a long time. B-but...I've been keeping a secret from you. I...l-l-l-like...you, noona. P-please go out with me." Seungmin confessed, presenting a bouquet of flowers in his shaking arms and standing in his shaky legs.
But everything paid off when he heard the words he's aching to hear for a long time.
"Yes. I will Seungmin. I like you too."
Everything about Seungmin's career and love life is going well until it was put to the test.
He was hosting We K-Pop when he got a glimpse of his girlfriend looking at him in the sidelines. He secretely smiled at her but he noticed Y/N was looking at him with a sad smile. He made a mental note to meet her after his show.
...which he did. They met in a private stall of a nearby coffee shop in KBS Building. Instead of a light atmosphere, they were surrounded with a heavy one.
"Seungmin, I'm pregnant."
Seungmin paled. He told his girlfriend to give him time to think, stood up and went to his car that took him back to the SKZ dorm.
They were just dating for almost a year. Got intimate twice and all of a sudden he's going to be a father?
In the background playing was his favorite band's song "Congratulations". That Day6 song was supposed to have a different implication but for some reason every word of the song bombarded him giving him much more regret and guilt of the things he did.
He reached his dorm with a heavy feeling and prayed that no one will notice, but unfortunately, his leader did.
Chan is always concerned with his members. That concern amplified when Woojin decided to leave Stray Kids to find peace for himself. Chan almost blamed himself for what happened, but with his hyung's assurance that it was no one's fault, and that even outside the showbiz life, he will still support and contact Stray Kids, Chan was convinced to become a better leader for his group and to look after the members, especially Hyunjin, Seungmin, Felix and I.N who recently have more responsibilities of hosting and acting in their schedules.
Chan never delayed on approaching Seungmin when he sees the younger one feeling down and tensed. After preparing a drink and giving Seungmin space to calm down, they talked.
And Chan knew and he did not know what to do.
Seungmin cried, leaning on his leader's chest while Chan hugs to comfort him.
"We'll get through this Seungminnie. We'll find a way to save both of your reputations. But we need to tell the other members and the company as well. Also you have to talk to her."
The next morning Seungmin, together with Chan, surprise visit his upset girlfriend in the set where wmshe was assigned. Asking to forgive him of what he did the other night and that they will work their problem out, together.
The next days were stressful enough for Seungmin and Y/N. Stray Kids and JYP knew of the situation and had promised to keep everything a secret within the company. JYP also decided not to terminate Seungmin's contract after much consideration.
But the hardest part was telling their family. Seungmin's parents were a bit disappointed to their son, while on the other hand, Seungmin receives a slap of anger from Y/N's dad.
"You have no right to leave my daughter! You marry her! And nothing else!" The father blurted yelling.
---
"Anything wrong?" Felix asked as he enters Seungmin's hotel room. Looking dapper in his suit. Being the best man, it was his responsibility to look after the groom.
"I'm scared." Seungmin replied, gulping.
Felix went closer to Seungmin and help him fix his suit.
"I know Minnie. But let me ask you a question; do you love Y/N noona?"
Seungmin looked at his friend's eyes with fear and conviction, "Yes. I love her."
Felix pats Seungmin's shoulder on assurance. "Then I know you'll be okay. You'll be a great husband and father. Now, let's get out of here so that Y/N noona will be your wife now."
And for the first time in a while, Seungmin smiled comfortably.
---
"And you may now kiss the bride."
Everybody in the hall clapped their hands as Seungmin and Y/N shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
Their wedding was a simple one; held in a exclusive function hall in a five-star hotel in Seoul. Free from the likes of Dispatch and Koreaboo. The Stray Kids members, except Felix were his groomsmen. Woojin was there too and one of their godparents was JYP. Their family members and closest colleagues and friends were also there to celebrate with them.
In the end, it was an exciting day for Seungmin. For he knows that everything will be fine since he has his family and Stray Kids to help him along the way.

Janis: not going to be you that does it so what's it to you Janis: roll over quicker than anyone asks, you Grace: it won't be you either Grace: he'd have to tell her to call it off for her to listen Janis: like fuck it won't Janis: someone has to say it Janis: she was here last time and she ain't no more Grace: & what did it change? Grace: they did it then & they'll do it now Janis: You're a quitter, I'm not asking you to get on board Janis: she's gonna listen Grace: If any of us told you to stop seeing Jimmy, you wouldn't Grace: they love each other, get over it Janis: and she ain't me Janis: if she cares even a degree of what she fakes Janis: she won't want another death on her hands Janis: it's not hard when what they're doing is sick and wrong Grace: stop it Janis: nah, like fuck Janis: if you cared about those kids like you fake, you'd want them taken off them Janis: the shit they're going to get Janis: and you cry every day about your shit life Janis: he should know better, his parents being what they were Grace: None of us want any of this Grace: but it's too late Janis: it's always too late with you Janis: no you can't do anything 'cos you're fucking weak and you need them all Janis: I don't need any of you, you can all rot Grace: Janis, don't Janis: fuck this shit Janis: fuck you Janis: fucking catering are you out your fucking mind Janis: over my dead body Grace: Stop saying that Grace: OMG Janis: You act like she was the crazy one Janis: she did the only thing that made any sense Janis: getting away from this toxic fucking family anyway she could Janis: you aren't even a real person and it's their fault and you do nothing about it Grace: Please don't fucking go Janis: Why would I stay Janis: why would you Janis: they have no right to miss her, none of them Janis: they all gave her reasons to get so far out her head that she'd fucking Janis: fuck Rio, fuck mum and fuck dad Grace: I can't do this on my own Janis: We've never been together Janis: you'd pick them every time Janis: you'd help her plan her bullshit wedding that's about nothing but showing off how much she gives a fuck about no one but him Grace: Give me something to do that isn't leave or kill myself Grace: I'm going mental here Janis: you should hit up Ollie, see if he's about it Janis: can be just like her Janis: she's doing just fine Grace: There's worse things to be than like her Janis: there's nothing worse Grace: at least she's happy Janis: she will be until one of hers dies Janis: then she'll be broken and pathetic like mum and dad Janis: and she doesn't have the excuse of not knowing better Janis: she helped kill Edie and then thought of ways she could make that situation even worse Janis: she's worse than them and has the nerve to act like what, some kind of mother figure doing her best for all of us Grace: She cared about Edie & she cares about us Janis: not enough to do the right thing Janis: they never do Grace: it wouldn't have saved her Grace: you know that Janis: that makes it alright then Janis: if mum did it first Janis: break her some more Janis: damage already done Janis: too late Janis: you're so fucking brainwashed and what do you get from it Janis: are you happy Gracie Janis: 'cos you're fucking collateral Grace: of course I'm not Janis: then stop drinking the kool-aid and telling me how good it tastes Grace: Rio's trying to help me, she's the only one who is Janis: yeah her saviour complex done everyone real well Janis: Junior's life isn't fucked at all because she had to live it for him Grace: I'm just saying I'm not gonna walk away from her cos Edie would want me to Grace: Junior's life is fucked cos he has shit taste in men & goes along with what everyone else wants Janis: This family loved to surround itself with dead girls it was trying to help Janis: and you're happy to be one of 'em Janis: don't pretend you want other options Grace: I don't wanna die Janis: 🤞 she has a baby for you that she won't give you then Janis: you're never gonna be the one 'helping' Janis: you aren't her or mum Janis: that is your role if you don't get out the fucking show, Grace Grace: we've established I'm not helpful, babes Janis: we've established you aren't a person Janis: even this, you can't be real Janis: what the fuck will it take Grace: you don't want real from me Grace: you literally never have Janis: you've never offered Janis: and I ain't waiting around for you Grace: Every time I try & talk to you, you shut me down Grace: you obvs aren't waiting for anything from me Janis: When have you ever tried to talk about something that matters Janis: I'm not talking to you about hair when people are fucking dying Grace: when have you ever let me Grace: you're a bitch way before then Janis: why would I be nice to that Janis: You don't like me, I'm not begging you either Grace: nothing that matters to me matters to you Janis: the colour of your fucking lip doesn't matter period Grace: that isn't real Janis: You've never been real Janis: you don't give me a fucking chance Grace: I can't be real with you cos you just make fun of everything that I say or feel or do Janis: and you and your friend don't Janis: nah, everything I do hasn't been fucking wrong to you since before we got our periods Grace: I've never backed her up on anything she said Grace: I don't call you stupid or ugly or any of the shit you call me Janis: you just call be a bitch and annoying and weird Janis: so if all of that's fake, everything you roll your eyes at because I just don't get it, just admit, you don't want to be real with me Janis: never fucking have, pretending it's 'cos I don't wear heels has always been an excuse Grace: You are a bitch and I do find you annoying and weird Grace: & you don't get me or any of the things that are hard for me cos they aren't for you Janis: that makes it alright then, you can say whatever you like to me because you perceieve yourself as life's victim and it's all fine for me Grace: we have different problems Grace: I'm not saying your life is perfect, I'm not that stupid Janis: just better than yours so why should you even try to be nice Janis: landed you with a great crowd, that Grace: you think you're better than me Grace: you literally always have Janis: no, you think I'm better than you Janis: and I didn't tear myself down so you could use me to build yourself up Janis: you aren't her and I'm not you Janis: why do you think you fell into that kind of relationship Grace: you are better than me & it makes it really hard to be around you, okay Janis: thanks Grace: it's not like any of this is how I want it Janis: how can you sit here and expect sympathy Janis: when I'm the one who's left with no one Janis: you can deal with the shit and have friends and have them, I can't do that Grace: you think I'm dealing? LOL Janis: deal with theirs Janis: and they'll love you for it Janis: none of them are gonna call you a doormat, just me Janis: 'cos they need a yes man Grace: well maybe I wouldn't be here if they did call me out ever Grace: at least you tell me the truth Janis: well maybe it gets exhausting being the only one telling the truth Janis: do you think she liked having to have every conversation be a confrontation Janis: do you think I Grace: it's exhausting being fake too if you were thinking about swapping Janis: like I said, you've got plenty of company Janis: they all are Grace: Yeah but I'm the only one getting told to see a therapist Grace: like I'd know where to start Janis: told you Janis: love a dead girl Janis: breeding and 'fixing' people when they've got no business is this family's shared hobby Janis: reason they ain't try to section me, section her Janis: take your shoelaces, where's the fun in actually doing something Janis: say you will, fucking say you have, did Janis: but never actually do Grace: they couldn't section you, you're not mental Grace: her either Janis: give her a case when I say I'll top myself if she goes ahead with this wedding, won't I Grace: No Grace: if being angry was all it takes half this fam would be gone Grace: & the wedding wouldn't happen cos he's the worst for it Janis: they should be, that's the fucking problem Janis: seperate cells, all of 'em Janis: and yeah, he's a cunt Grace: You don't have long if you really wanna stop it Janis: yeah? Grace: they are rushing but obvs won't tell me why Grace: maybe they think people will try and stop them idk Janis: Brazil one probably wasn't even legal Janis: why should I care about their kids really Janis: why should I try and help any of them Grace: they're just babies, they didn't ask for any of this Janis: maybe not but maybe those two deserve for those kids to grow and turn 'round and tell them how much they hate them for doing this Janis: fuck it, I can't think straight Janis: maybe that's enough, maybe I just won't go, I'll be gone Grace: you'll come back though, right? Janis: can't think about that Janis: I should be happy right now Janis: but no Janis: can't Grace: you can be happy Janis: how can I Janis: it never stops it never goes away Grace: idk just worry about yourself like you always say to me Grace: forget about them Janis: can't do that when you're here Grace: forget about me Janis: no I mean Janis: I can't be here, I can't be anywhere near any of you and be happy Janis: and one reason to stay doesn't outweight all the reasons to go Grace: you're saying you're gonna leave him, aren't you Janis: this isn't fair on him Grace: it wouldn't be fair to do that Grace: on you either Janis: I know that, all he needs is someone who can stay Janis: I can't do it Grace: he loves you so he needs you Grace: you love him Janis: yes Grace: he'd go with you if you asked him Janis: the kids can't come Grace: why do they need to? he's got a dad, right? Janis: no Janis: they need him Janis: and he needs them Grace: oh Janis: it's not easy Janis: even if it feels easier than staying Janis: it's still so fucking hard Grace: I love you & if you only listen to one thing I ever say then Grace: you're really gonna regret it if you fuck things up with him Janis: I know Janis: but I should have never have let him in Grace: but you have now Grace: not to be that it's too late bitch again Grace: but like Janis: bad things happened to him too Janis: happen Grace: so don't hurt him Janis: that's all I ever do Grace: no Grace: that's faker than anything I've ever Grace: shut up Janis: I don't want to Janis: she didn't either, I don't think Janis: it's just Janis: seems like the only way to end it all, all the suffering Grace: nobody wants to, I don't think even Mia wants that, way deep down Janis: you can't end other people's, only your own Janis: but causing it means you're having some effect, right Grace: she had so much love in her, that's how she could do it, hurt people that deep Grace: so do you Grace: but you don't have to be like her Janis: I don't know what the alternative is Janis: like I said, it feels like someone HAS to be saying these things Grace: I think it's this Grace: trying Grace: being honest means being honest about like everything Janis: it's hard to do both Janis: that's the problem Janis: how can you tell Rio she's a hypocritical bitch that has ultimately put herself first and tell her she still held it down all those times we needed her to Grace: I know, babes, trust Grace: cos they can both be true Grace: I hate you & I love you Grace: nothing's just a or just b Janis: I guess the thing is, they get the rest from everyone else Janis: like you said Janis: you wouldn't be here if I didn't tell you the bad shit Janis: no one would Grace: you can still be the call out queen Grace: if he's the only person who sees the real you, maybe that's okay Grace: maybe its like that anyway Janis: it feels wrong Janis: we didn't always hate each other Janis: all of us Grace: I didn't always hate myself Grace: it's just Grace: things happen Janis: too many things have Janis: that shouldn't have Grace: Yeah exactly so don't make yourself unhappy Grace: there's been so much of it Janis: she died for nothing Janis: if more and more keeps happening Janis: just makes it more true Grace: she died for nothing anyway Grace: she was 16 Janis: and if I act like it, it's a problem Janis: but Rio gets to openly ruin more kids and we're meant to be happy Janis: I refuse, I won't do it Grace: she's just trying to be happy Grace: like you want to be Janis: no Janis: you don't get to try at the expense of a helpless fucking kid Janis: that you made Janis: that's not how it works, this is what I'm saying Janis: we aren't doing this again and pretending that that's alright Grace: I'm not saying don't tell her what you think Janis: how could she Janis: twice Grace: I don't know Grace: I don't know how she could fall in love with him or any of it Janis: it's not love Grace: she thinks it is, & she let it happen Grace: I don't understand that Janis: she's selfish or it's trauma-bonding Janis: she can have either Janis: but she won't admit it regardless Grace: of course she won't Grace: so just let it go Janis: no Janis: there's consequences to the shit you do Grace: they're her consequences to deal with Janis: and one of them is that I hate her and I'm not going to let her forget that Edie died hating her too Janis: it's not enough to yet again put it on some kids Janis: say hey, wait to see how bad the bullying gets and the doubt and all of it Janis: then turn around and say why the fuck did you two do this Janis: they hurt people Janis: and they still are Janis: they should care Grace: I think they do Grace: but idk if that's enough or not Grace: or what'll happen to those babies or any of us Janis: it isn't enough Janis: they aren't Grace: what I know is if you keep hating like Edie did it'll hurt you like it hurt her Grace: you have to stop Janis: we should be hurting Janis: she shouldn't be happy Janis: none of us should Grace: we are Grace: that doesn't mean you have to ruin everything for yourself Grace: that you can't ever be happy Janis: I'm not ruining anything Janis: it's ruined Janis: nothing has changed Janis: so no, we shouldn't be happy Grace: Edie literally wanted you to be Grace: & we were 12 so much has changed Janis: like what Grace: like you letting someone in Grace: being happy even if you think you shouldn't Grace: we're talking now that wouldn't have ever happened Grace: if you hate me more than you did 4 years ago that's still change, babes Grace: you can't stand still for her Janis: I'm not going to pretend we're blessed to live to make more mistakes Grace: do better like everyone says they are gonna but don't Janis: no thanks Janis: I'm not righting all this family has done wrong Janis: that's what they think they can do Janis: Rio and Buster, and they've already failed Grace: I'm not even talking about them though Grace: just do better for you Grace: stay with him, feel something idk Janis: I don't know if I can Grace: I can't answer that for you Grace: do you wanna try or not? Janis: It's not that simple Grace: with that attitude no Janis: no, it just isn't Janis: you haven't been in love, have you? Grace: no Janis: well it's like Janis: sometimes what you want, and even what they think they want, might not be what's right for them Janis: and if you really loved them Janis: you'd want what was best for them, wouldn't you Grace: you are what's best for him though Grace: I've seen you together, wayyyy more than I wanted to Grace: & I lowkey stalked him before that so Janis: lowkey is debatable Grace: thank you for focusing in on the right thing OMG Janis: I'm not trying to be a cunt for once right now but you know Janis: I don't think you can say what's best for him Janis: me either, really Janis: idk Janis: I wish I did know then I'd just do it Grace: so let him say it Grace: be there to give him the chance like Janis: that's not me Janis: I can't be the one getting left Grace: & he can? Janis: no Grace: so do you love him enough to let him really hurt you or not Janis: its all stupid anyway Janis: we only just met Grace: I don't think that's the point, babes Janis: it is, even some of yours lasted longer than this and you weren't in love with them Grace: hello I'm fake Grace: & a hoe Janis: I didn't intend to be real Grace: he can't do fake that's not your fault hun Grace: his face is a dead giveaway like literally always Janis: you can take hints then Janis: just ignore 'em Janis: good to know Grace: I'm not brain damaged Grace: you just wish I were Janis: why would I want that Janis: sounds dead irritating, if anything Grace: cos otherwise I'm just stupid Grace: no excusing that Janis: you're not you're just infuriating Grace: cute but yeah I am Janis: nothing cute about it Janis: it's ugly all the shit you pretend Grace: duh it suits me then Janis: yeah yeah Grace: yeah we can pretend that's why no one wants me instead of what the truth is Janis: what's the truth then Grace: that I am just ugly Grace: so my personality might as well be Janis: nah Janis: truth is, you don't wanna die, like you said Janis: if that's what it takes for you to survive Grace: I'm too scared, like I am of a lot of things Grace: but like I also said, things change Janis: it's scary Grace: if I ever do it get mum's old oujia board out & I'll let you know what happens next Grace: like a liveblog Janis: oh great Janis: here's me thinking I'd get some peace and quiet, like Grace: EW what if heaven's like a really amazing nightclub vibe & they don't let me in Janis: what do you wanna go to heaven for Janis: it's like here without all the interesting bits Janis: at least hell is offering a bit of something new Grace: UM cos I'm not into bdsm unless the boy's like really fit Janis: you'll be fine then Janis: Lucifer is famously too hot for heaven, like Grace: oh yeah I totally forgot Janis: grand scheme of bible teachings, probably encouraged to be a bit quiet on that one Janis: black nan be buzzing Grace: catch me sinning really hard from now until I kms so he's into me Grace: sorry nan Janis: really gonna try and be his favourite sinner Janis: 😏 Grace: You'll love it cos I promised Rio no boys & she'll be really 😠😠😠 Grace: 💜me perdoe, irmã eu tenho que pecar💜 Janis: 😂 Janis: gonna point out that there are 7 other sins Janis: and those are just the deadly ones, like Grace: yeah but like Grace: it's the one that'll get his attention easiest Grace: boys are so quick to get jealous Janis: the devil has and always will be a gentleman, babe Janis: not a fuckboy Janis: rethink the tactic probs Grace: excuse me that gluttony & sloth aren't moods for an attractive corpse Janis: hello it's your soul you're taking Janis: not a zombie fuckfest Grace: UM I still need all my exes devastated at my funeral thanks Grace: don't let anyone touch my hair though or I will haunt you Janis: ha your plastic weave gonna be there long after the rest of you is dust Janis: as for your exes Janis: got to think numbers Grace: RUDE Janis: alright for you to say, you won't be handing out sausage rolls to however many identical unimpressed looking white boys Grace: neither will you Grace: a glance to check I'm in there & you can go, babes Janis: oh please Janis: can't make me go to this farce of a wedding but doubt I'm getting out of a funeral that easy Grace: I'll literally write in my will so bye bitch Janis: cute you think the dead's wishes are getting honoured around here Janis: whether she wanted us to be miserable or happy, we're all doing shit regardless Janis: can't say she wanted us to muddle through ad infinitum Grace: she still died we can't just move on ASAP Janis: why it's better to be team miserable Janis: a case can be argued even if we aren't committing enough Grace: I'm sure your bf will be down his face is always 😒 Janis: you fancy him not me Grace: ew Janis: mhmm Grace: you can go ahead and put that wayyyyy into past tense thanks so much Janis: 😏 Janis: convincing Grace: I literally only wanted to hook up with him Grace: not gonna do that now so Janis: that's all you do with any boy so Grace: duh Grace: he's only special to you Grace: no boy is to me Janis: don't be gay Janis: x2 Grace: don't be homophobic Grace: it's gross & retro Janis: whatever Janis: every gay I know is a twat Janis: tell me it ain't related Grace: same tbh Grace: 🤔🤔 Janis: doesn't help they're related to me and all but when I'm right, I'm right Grace: you don't know any others? The bar was crowded, but she could spot her from across the room.
Suddenly Nicole was really regretting her decision to get rip roaring drunk.
Everyone else was doing it, she had told herself. Particularly Wynonna who convinced her that the proper way to celebrate the end of the semester was to get “fucking wasted” as she so eloquently stated. Which is how they ended up in this sleazy, lowly lit sports bar with a bunch of frat looking guys.
Wynonna had casually mentioned that her sister was going to be in town for the weekend, getting a taste of what college was like a.k.a. helping Wynonna move all her stuff out of her apartment for the summer.
Nicole had known Wynonna since sophomore year, but since things seemed less then great with her family they never seemed to come around. At least in the year she’d known her. She’d seen Waverly, the youngest Earp, on various Facetimes or through social media, but she’d never met her in person. She was woman enough to admit that she found Waverly to be very…very pretty.
Not that she was creeping on Wynonna’s younger sister at all. For multiple reasons. The first being that Wynonna would murder her. The second being that she was barely eighteen. Barely. If even. Not that she had looked at her birthday online or anything…actually, she hadn’t. She’d made it a point to not stalk Waverly online.
But now she was standing near the back entrance of the bar, looking very lost and so very very pretty. And Nicole was very very drunk.
She had noticed her as soon as she walked in. All long wavy hair and doe eyes. Nicole took a quick look around but Wynonna had disappeared about ten minutes ago looking for drinks and was not around to save her little sister. So Nicole, beer in hand, weaved her way thought the crowd until she was in front of Waverly.
“Hey!” she said a little too loudly. Waverly’s eyes got wide for a moment and Nicole realized she probably thought she was just some stranger. “You’re Waverly, right? I’m Wynonna’s friend Ni-”
“Nicole!” Waverly said with a bright smile. Nicole felt her heart skip a beat. “It’s so nice to finally meet you! Wynonna’s told me all about you!”
She threw her arms around Nicole’s neck and the red head panicked for a moment. Where do her hands go? She only had one hand, the other had a beer. Where should her one hand go? Just be a normal human. Hug her. The thoughts poured slower then usual through Nicole’s beer soaked brain, but she put her free arm around Waverly’s waist to return the hug. When her hand settled on warm skin instead of fabric, she blushed. Of course Waverly was wearing a crop top. It’s like the girl was born to torture her.
Waverly pulled away and Nicole smiled back at her. “I um…I lost your sister,” she said with as little slurring as she could muster.
“I’m surprised you kept an eye on her this long,” Waverly said, “Sorry I’m late, my train got delayed.”
“No, it’s fine!” she said. Too loud. Again. She cringed at the volume of her own voice and nodded over towards the bar. “Let me get you a drink. What do you feel like?”
“Oh, just a whiskey sour would be fine.”
“Classy,” Nicole said with a nod as she led them over to the bar. She weaved as best she could through the crowded bar, checking back every so often to make sure that Waverly was still behind her. At one point, she felt a hand grab the back of her shirt and knew Waverly had grabbed on to keep track of her.
They finally made it to the bar and Nicole ordered her drink, handing it to Waverly.
“Thank you,” Waverly said taking the drink and looking up at Nicole through her lashes. Nicole felt butterflies in her stomach but tried to ignore them.
“You’re more then welcome.”
Waverly took the straw between her lips and looked back up at Nicole. The red head was just trying her best not to stare at Waverly’s mouth. She’s barely eighteen, she reminded herself.
“So, you’re starting here next year?” Nicole asked trying to keep her voice at a reasonable level. Why was it so hard to talk to Waverly? It’s not like she had never talked to a girl before. She blamed the extreme level of alcohol in her system and the fact that WAverly had taken her off guard with how pretty she was. At that thought, Nicole downed the remains of her fourth beer and gestured for another.
Waverly nodded. “Yeah, right after my nineteenth birthday,” she said with a pointed look that Nicole couldn’t decipher. Her fifth beer came just in time and she took a long sip off the top.
“What are you going to study?”
“Anthropology, History and Latin. Maybe. We’ll see,” Waverly said.
“Well you’d definitely be the prettiest girl in all those classes,” Nicole blurted. Waverly just blinked at her with a small grin. Realizing what she said, she took another sip of beer and tried to wave it off. “I mean, because it’s a male dominated..field. Like most fields-…so Latin, huh?”
Waverly chuckled and looked down at her feet for a moment before looking back up. “I just really enjoy the language but I’m already pretty advanced in it so I’m not sure if I actually need to take the courses. I would probably be bored but getting the degree would look really good and-” She took a deep breath and smiled in embarrassment. “Sorry, I’m rambling. I do that when I’m nervous.”
Her voice trailed off and Nicole couldn’t help the slow smirk that pulled at her lips. For a second she forgot that this was Wynonna’s sister. This was just a pretty girl in a bar. “Why are you nervous?” She licked her lips deliberately, pleased to see Waverly blush and look off towards the other side of the bar. She looked back at Nicole, about to open her mouth when-
Wynonna came from…somewhere.
“Hey, baby girl,” she said throwing an arm around Waverly’s neck. The lighter haired girl squealed in delight and hugged her sister tightly. Nicole took another swig of her beer as the sisters reunited. Even though she wanted to strangle Wynonna for interrupting…whatever was happening. At least she wasn’t a fresh eighteen, right? She was almost nineteen! That made it better. Right? Only a few years difference. And Waverly seemed so mature…
Nicole felt a hit to her stomach and sputtered into her beer that was still raised to her lips. She shot a look at Wynonna who was just staring at her with an eyebrow raised. “Were you flirting with my sister?”
She blushed and opened her mouth to protest but thankfully Waverly stepped in.
“Don’t be mean,” Waverly said to Wynonna. She took a step closer to Nicole and wiped a bit of the beer that had dripped down her chin when Wynonna hit her. The gesture made Nicole blush a deep red and was thankful for the low lighting in the bar.
Wynonna rolled her eyes. “Gross. Whatever. Why aren’t you drunk yet?”
“I barely got here,” Waverly shrugged as she turned her back on Nicole. She was still standing close and Nicole got a whiff of her perfume. It made her dizzy.
“No excuse for an Earp,” Wynonna said. She gestured to the bar tender who instantly brought her six shots. Wynonna slid two to Nicole and two to Waverly. “Drink up, ladies.”
If Nicole had quite after her third beer, she would have protested. But she was halfway through her fifth beer and shots seemed like a great idea. She downed both of them quickly, really trying not to watch Waverly’s throat as she tipped her head back to take the shot.
Her head felt dizzy and…oh Waverly was just so pretty. Especially with the way she was looking up at her. Big eyes that she could just drown in.
“Dart time,” Wynonna said finishing her shot with a smack of her lips. “Wanna come, Waves?”
“No, I think I’m going to hang out here for just a minute longer,” she said picking up her whiskey again. “I’ll meet you over there.”
“Suit yourself,” Wynonna said taking a big step towards the dart area.
“How much do you want to bet she hits someone with a dart?” Nicole slurred as she watched Wynonna walk away.
“I’d take that bet,” Waverly said with a firm nod.
With more alcohol in her system and Wynonna further away, Nicole felt a little of her confidence come back. She raised an eyebrow at Waverly. “Okay, but what are you going to give me when I win?”
Waverly chuckled awkwardly, fingers tapping the sides of her glass as she shrugged and said a bunch of words that didn’t quite make sense. Nicole finished her beer, set her glass son the bar and held out a hand to Waverly. “Want to dance?” She tilted her head to the dance floor on the opposite side of the bar (far far away from Wynonna). “I can give you a real college experience. Dancing with someone you can’t wait to get away from.”
She smiled widely and Waverly just shook her head. “I think it’s quite the opposite.” She took Nicole’s hand and it felt like her heart was about to beat out of her chest. Her hands were so soft and firm in her own. If she had had another shot, she would bring it to her lips and kiss her. Instead she lead her to the dance floor just as a new heavy beat started. They waded into the middle of the crows and Nicole turned to the shorter woman. She kept a respectful distance from Waverly as they began to sway to the beat, their hands clasped between them. After a few moments, Waverly moved to place Nicole’s hands on her hips and draped her own arms over her shoulders.
As the song went on, their bodies slowly drifted closer together until they were pressed against one another. Nicole tried to keep her eyes between them, watching as their hips swayed to the beat together. She looked up and met Waverly’s eyes. They’d gone dark and remained trained on her own. The look Waverly was giving her made her mouth go dry.
“You’re beautiful,” she breathed out. It was barely audible over the loud pumping of the music, but the blush on Waverly’s cheeks told her that she could hear her just fine. She felt Waverly’s fingers thread gently through the hair at the nape of her neck and she instinctively bent her head a little closer to hers. Her hands moved low on her hips as she pressed their bodies together more firmly. She could feel Waverly’s soft panting breaths on her lips and felt light headed.
It was taking all of her will power not to lean down and kiss her.
Wynonna’s little sister. Wynonna’s little sister.
It was like a mantra she kept repeating in her head. But her mind went blank as soon as she watched Waverly pull her bottom lip slowly between her teeth, her eyes darting down to Nicole’s lips.
Fuck.
She was in trouble.
Waverly’s dancing started to include more hip gyrating, and she moved herself so Nicole’s leg was between her own. Nicole felt like her whole body was on fire. Her hands moved on, what felt like, their own accord to the swell of Waverly’s ass as their faces got dangerously close. Waverly licked her lips and Nicole could swear she felt just the barest hint of it on her own lips. She leaned forward, lips barely brushing when-
Wynonna’s little sister. Fuck!
She jumped back. Looking at Waverly who looked shocked. “S-sorry,” she said, “I have to-…sorry.”
She couldn’t do this. What was she thinking? Stupid alcohol making her brave! She pushed through the pulsing dance crowd and towards the bathroom. The music faded as the door closed behind her and she clutched the edge of the sink. She breathed heavily, trying to regain some clear thinking despite the arousal pounding between her legs. Fuck she was stupid. She couldn’t-…Wynonna’s sister…fuck.
The door opened behind her and she looked up in the mirror to see that Waverly had followed her. She sighed and hung her head, shaking it.
“Sorry, I shouldn’t have done that.”
“Done what?” Waverly asked.
“Almost kissed you,” she said with a sad chuckle.
Beat.
“What if I wanted you to?”
Nicole turned around at Waverly’s confession and leaned back against the sink. Waverly wanted to. She was a consenting adult and…she wanted to. But Wynonna would kill her. Absolutely kill her.
“Waves, I’m sorry. I-”
Waverly silenced Nicole by smashing her lips into hers. Nicole dared not to move for a moment until she felt lithe fingers tangle in her hair. Her hands found Waverly’s hips and she pulled the Earp flush against her body. Their kiss deepened, tongues tangling and dancing to some unknown beat. Teeth clashed as their kisses became desperate, fueled by alcohol and just pure need. Nicole cupped Waverly’s cheek almost to tenderly for the feverish nature of their kisses. They both pulled away, gasping for breath. Their foreheads remained pressed together and for the first time, Nicole noticed that the uncomfortable porcelain sink was digging into her lower back.
They both just looked at each other for a moment until Nicole’s drunken lips spoke again. “Is this how we’re going to tell the story to our kids? That we had our first kiss in a bar bathroom?” She slowly realized what she said and felt her face light on fire.
“Our kids?” Waverly asked with a slow smile, “Let’s just get through college first, okay?”
Nicole nodded wordlessly as she joined their lips again.
