78 anomalous phenomenon: HUGE disambiguation page. not to be confused with abnormality (behaviour). none of them seemed particularly creepy, sorry.
79 bermuda triangle: i always thought the bermuda triangle was gonna be a bigger concern in my adult life than what it is. like lava and quicksand. turns out its not that big deal! not creepy
80 overtoun bridge: may i suggest a dog fence? sorta creepy. the 'possible explanations' tab always makes it loose its whimsy
81 the mad gasser of mattoon: repeat. look above
82 chupa (anomaly): "Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name." anyway CHUPA-ME OS TOMATEEEEES
83 silverpilen: disambiguation page. assuming its the "The Silver Train of Stockholm", sure, its creepy
84 lost Dutchman's gold mine: man i dont... care about any of this. not creepy
85 aokigahara: creepy. i dont like the prospect of being in a place and finding suicide victims overall

95 dyatlov pass incident: creepy! about time. i sleep so peacefully knowing ill never go hiking mountains or spelunking caves or any of that crap
96 tunguska event: repeat, already addressed
97 borley rectory: i will say its creepy but its due to my own biases of liking haunted houses. having the first paragraphs being like 'this guy said shits haunted. the shits-haunted board disproved it though' doesnt exactly set it up to be creepy.
98 clapham wood mystery: she has it all. not creepy
99 reality shift: Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name. anyway, this has been too memed to death for me to consider it creepy. it would make for an interesting horror story premise, if someone is willing to take the bait.

109 mariana ufo incident: fun!
110 amelia earhart: not creepy.
111 valentich disappearance: redirects to disappearance of frederick valentich. a ufo? ok. not creepy. i think people overall underestimate how deeply terrifying the ocean is; if a pilot vanished without a trace, the ocean got them. its really that simple most of the time.
112 original night stalker: redirects to joseph james deangelo. huh?? former police officer... and still alive. creepy.
113 black dahlia: this one is well known, i think. its creepy to me if only because ive learned of it when i was still impressionable.
114 joachim kroll: ah. him. creepy. so many lives ruined...
115 peter kürten: creepy.
116 gilles de rais: is it serial killer hour? ok. meh

118 melonheads: it took me to a short page saying "theyre a group of fans that wear melons on their heads for games." which i thought was funny. then i saw "for the legendary creature, see melon heads" and soured. more american cryptids... well, the ohio legend was funny at least.
119 d. b. cooper: oooh, ive heard of this guy. being in that situation would be scary, but i wouldnt call it creepy.
120 philadelphia experiment: a fun urban legend. its like that creepypasta where a whole town disappeared with no trace, living a giant crater. was that a creepypasta or something else? idr.

123 allagash abductions: "Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name." suggested i searched the website instead for different spellings; saw this "He also investigated and wrote about the Allagash Abductions, an alleged multiple persons abduction case, which was cast into doubt by one of the four witnesses in 2016." doesnt sound interesting.
124 midgetville: stupid. offensive, even. feel free to look up "portugal dos pequenitos", which is slightly in line with. whatever op wanted to pass up as creepy. the buildings are cute and the history may surprise you! (its dictatorship)
125 gef the talking mongoose: redirects to just gef. its a mongoose that was reported talking. what do you want me to say about it.

The Mystery Of Overtoun Bridge
In Scotland, there lies a bridge called the Overtoun Bridge that seems to call dogs to jump to their death. Since the early 1960s, over 50 canines have perished, and hundreds more have leapt but survived with some returning for a second leap onto the jagged rocks that lie 50 feet below.
The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has sent representatives to investigate but with no luck. In terms of scientific truth, it is debatable that dogs are capable of forming a suicide attempt. Yet, something is luring dogs off the Overtoun Bridge, often from the same spot and always on sunny, dry days. Many theories have conspired, including that the bridge is haunted, a small animal is marking the area with an irresistible scent, or a sound exists below the bridge that only dogs can hear. Whatever is causing this phenomenon, dog owners crossing this bridge would be wise to take extra caution and keep their dogs on leashes.

Overtoun Bridge
Tumblr media
As you approach Overtoun Bridge, a Category-B listed structure leading to Overtoun House in Dunbartonshire, Scotland, you will see signs exclaiming “DANGEROUS BRIDGE: KEEP YOUR DOGS ON A LEAD”.
Since 2005, media attention has grown significantly, with reports that a significant number of dogs have leapt from the side of the bridge to their deaths in seemingly unexplained circumstances.
Paranormal investigators have attributed these events to a history of supernatural activity around the area of the bridge, which they believe can be sensed by dogs.
Canine behavioural experts however dispute this, and have explained that the unfortunate deaths are most-likely caused by nearby scents of minks and other animals, combined with the fact that the severe drop at the side of the bridge cannot be fully perceived by small dogs.
Tragically, in 1994 the bridge was the site of a murder and attempted suicide, when a man threw his two-week old son over the side of the bridge as he believed the child was possessed by the devil. The man subsequently jumped from the bridge himself, and then slashed his own wrists, but survived the attempt to take his own life.

Overtoun Bridge - West Dunbartonshire, Scotland
Since the 1950s or 1960s, numerous dogs have leaped to their death at a rate of one per year. The only linking factors for this unexplained event are that dogs mostly jump from the same side of the bridge, in clear weather, and they are breeds with long snouts
The canine deaths have prompted claims of paranormal activity at the bridge. In October 1994, a man threw his two-week-old son to his death from the bridge because he believed that his son was an incarnation of the Devil. He then attempted to commit suicide several times, first by attempting to jump off the bridge, later by slashing his wrists

Jetsam’s Bucket List
Disney World
I want to see if I can fit into the belly of a whale like Jonah
Overtoun, Scotland - This bridge in Scotland is known for the strange phenomenon of dogs leaping off to their deaths. I want to throw a dog off it and see if it still dies when it’s not suicidal.
I want to go camping in the spot our house used to be, just you and me again.
Jatinga, India - Bird Suicide Grounds - This place holds a strange phenomenon yet to be explained. It’s a small quiet little town but every night between September and October hundreds of birds dive to their deaths. It also only happens between 7 to 10pm and only on a certain mile stretch of land.
I want to deep fry Eeyore in teriyaki. Lots of people eat donkey meat. I never have.
I want to blow up the tower Maleficent tortured us in.
I want to fuck Valerie, but she has to suck my dick first.

Overtoun Bridge by BenJuarez
"Studies have shown that since the 1950s or 1960s numerous dogs have leaped from the bridge at the rate of about one dog a month. Dogs that leap over the bridge parapet fall 50 feet (15 m) onto the waterfalls below. Some dogs that survived this drop, and were then taken back to the bridge, have jumped again. The only linking factors for this unexplained event are that dogs mostly jump from the same side of the bridge, in clear weather, and they are breeds with long snouts."

Overtoun Bridge has attracted international media attention because of the number of dogs who have reportedly leapt from it (more than 50 since the 60's), often dying upon landing on the rocks 50 feet (15 m) below; the bridge has also been the site of human murder and attempted suicide

New Pokemon I'd like to see
Tumblr media
(x) A new ghost or dark type dog pokemon. We have the Black Dog legends in England, Scotland, Wales... There’s the Church grim and the Black Shuck too, even the Overtoun Bridge legends too, where dogs jump off the bridge.
And if not a dog, a cat (or both!). We got the Fiskerton Phantom, The King of the Cats, the Surrey Puma... They could fit in the area around the tower, or in the area with the fairy gym...?
Tumblr media
A Corviknight regional variant. From this reddit post about Odin and ts comments. I think a regional variant would be nice so that depending on the game you find one of the legendary wolve’s + one of the crows.
Tumblr media
Like I mentioned before here, a new alien themed pokemon. Even if now I think this area may have more to do with the Dynamaxing and its history... But still I have hope, there can be both!
Tumblr media
A new bat and / or a new Sableye or Carbink-like pokemon, because of all the areas with the rails and mines! There’s also various bat species living in the UK, like the Brown long-eared bat, the Noctule, the Whiskered and Brandt’s bat or the Serotine.
Tumblr media
(x) A loch monster pokemon, there’s legends about Eachy, Nessie, Morag, Muc-sheilch… Galar has such big lakes, it just fits.
Tumblr media
Squirrels. There’s going to be squirrels for sure after the latest direct, since there’s a child wearing a shirt with a squirrel-like pokemon, and a squirrel-like pokemon of similar shape between the crowd (last pic found on serebii)

A-Z of Halloween Scotland part 4  0-S.
Tumblr media
O is for Overtoun Bridge; Overtoun Bridge has attracted international media attention because of the number of dogs who have reportedly leapt from it, often dying upon landing on the rocks 50 feet below; the bridge has also been the site of human murder and attempted suicide. So is it any wonder it is said to be haunted.
Studies have shown that since the 1950s or 1960s an estimated 50 dogs have leapt from the bridge. Dogs that leap over the bridge parapet fall 50 feet (15 m) onto the waterfalls below. The only linking factors for this unexplained event are that dogs mostly jump from the same side of the bridge, in clear weather, and they are breeds with long snouts. The canine deaths have prompted claims of paranormal activity at the bridge. In October 1994, a man threw his two-week-old son to his death from the bridge because he believed that his son was an incarnation of the Devil. He then attempted to commit suicide several times, first by attempting to jump off the bridge, later by slashing his wrists. A sad tale, if you can read it, all the details are here http://www.theparanormalguide.com/blog/overtoun-bridge
Tumblr media
P is for Pinkie House; The house is said to be haunted by a ‘Green Lady’, a Green Jean. Some have identified the ghost as the bogle of Lilias Drummond, who died at Dalgety in 1601 and was the wife of Alexander Seton, but this seems unlikely (although she is associated with Fyvie Castle). The appearance of the ghost apparently bodes ill for the resident family, and is said to be sometimes be accompanied by a child. Another identification has been suggested as a Lady Jane or Jean Seton, possibly the daughter of George, 3rd Earl of Winton, who died un-wed in 1636 and is said to have murdered her child. A portrait in the house is said to show the lady, clad in a green frock, and with a child. There are, however, many ‘Green Jeans’ in Scotland’s castles, ‘Green Lady’ ghosts called Jean, so the name may be misleading…
Tumblr media
Q is for Queen Mary; Or Mary Queen of Scots as she is better known. There are several places said to be haunted by our much maligned Queen, In her relatively brief 45 years of life, Mary seems to have spent at least one night in just about every castle of note in Scotland, quite a feat, all the more because for over half her life she was either living in France or imprisoned by her cousin Elizabeth. Mary is thought to be the Pink Lady of Stirling Castle, Craignethan Castle near Lesmahagow is said to be haunted by Mary after her execution, so if you see a headless spectre, it's her! The muckle Hermitage Castle in the Borders is also said to be visited by Mary's ghost, even though it's one of the few castles said not to have been visited by the Stuart Monarch. At Borthwick Castle she apparently dressed as a page boy when the castle was besieged and it is in this guise she is seen there, England? Let's just no go thair eh! You can read all about Mary's haunts on this blog https://www.spookyisles.com/…/the-life-and-afterlives-of-m…/
Tumblr media
R is for RAF Montrose; I love this one and have posted on it before but way back, the airbase, now Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre, is said to Be haunted by the ghost of Desmond Arthur. Lt Desmond Arthur was the original Montrose ghost. Killed in a flying accident on 27 May 1913 and his spirit is said to have haunted the officers’ mess. Since then there have been many other unexplained sightings of apparitions in pilots’ uniforms and phantom planes. In 2010 wartime music and speech was heard to come from a 70-year-old radio which was not powered in any way. Get all the lowdown on this from Angus Folklore blog here http://angusfolklore.blogspot.com/…/the-first-operational-m…
Tumblr media
S is for St. Andrews Castle; Murdered monks are said to walk through the cathedral ruins, Cardinal Beaton is seen at the window in the castle from which his body was hung after his assassination, and a mutilated nun still terrifies residents, fearful of seeing her face which is said to cause insanity. Phantom coaches still thunder through the town, one occupied by the Devil himself carrying corrupt religious figures to Hell, and the sounds of bagpipes being played by a piper lost while exploring the secret underground are believed to signify a death in the family of anyone hearing them. The most famous ghost of St Andrews is that of the White Lady, a ghostly figure that has been witnessed walking the cathedral walls for centuries. There are said to be 75 haunted locations in St Andrews, find out more here. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/…/st-andrews-chamber-of-corps…/
I hope to finish this series later tonight.
