Mary Mallon was born in 1869 in Cookstown, Co Tyrone. She emigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1884. Tomorrow!!! I'll be on two panels at the very first Gold Coast Book Fair on Sunday, June 30, in Oyster Bay, NY:

1:30pm in Raynham Hall Museum: "Chapter Book Adventures for Young Readers" with Sarah Beth Durst and Laurie Smollett Kutscera, moderated by Kathryn Mullholand

3pm at The Wine Line: "Drunk on Love: Romance Reader's Happy Hour!" with Sarah Beth Durst and Ali Rosen, moderated by Jeannie Moon (Note: I'll be signing ARCs of my upcoming cozy fantasy, THE SPELLSHOP, after this panel!!!)

I'll also be at the Gold Coast Speakeasy closing reception at The Wine Line from 4-6pm.

Michael Abbate - An Active-Duty Marine

Michael Abbate is a full-time Firefighter in the FDNY (Fire Department of New York City). He is a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) at South Side University Hospital (formerly Southside Hospital) in Bay Shore, NY, as an Observation RN in the CDU (Clinical Decision Unit) section of the Emergency Department. Michael Abbate aspires to have a big happy family with children of his own and eventually grandchildren and to retire from the FDNY one day.
