Okay guys apparently Páll Óskar is a lil bit of a uhmmmm guy (I did a wikipedia deep dive like a year ago) BUT I just want to bring this performance to you guys's attention.

This is the first Eurovision act done by an openly gay man at the time and it is mesmerizing and weirdly heterosexual.

My Music List - January to June 2022.

Every month I sit down and write my top 10 most listened to songs for the month in my bujo. And I could make a nice little playlist of it at the end of the year, or just stack them in a list like this one, or just keep them tucked away in their bujo. I am sometimes in awe at the fact that I have managed to keep these lists going for well over three years now.

And they do help me with creating my overall top 20 list at the end of the year.

Okay since I might be a bit (okay a lot) obsessed with Páll Óskar atm but also still am just obsessed with House here are a few songs of him that I think fit to Hilson (links are all to spotify and the translations are made by me so if there are mistakes they’re my fault. I only started learning this language a few moths ago but I looked most of it up to check and I hope it’s right):

These two songs are a bit more sexual but still fitting (and hey they’re both in English as well)

Please, Reject Me (like my father did): The text is a bit more BDSM but the title alone fits so well to House imo I had to include it Enter Me:  Hold me, feel me, taste me and when your fingers are on the keys enter me (and yes I fully believe it’s a song about bottoming but I feel like it fits them well enough) 

Bonus: Wilson realizing he’s not hetero but gay:

So I finally found the song I heard in Iceland and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. It’s called “Ein Dans (One Dance)” and it’s by Páll Óskar. Being overly ecstatic about it, I did some research into him, and it turns out he’s a fairly successful, openly gay music artist. And that’s really fucking cool. So I dig a bit deeper and I found this quote from his mom, Margrét Matthíasdóttir,  from when he came out: “If Páll has the talent to fall in love, he should nurture that talent.” 

That’s some real fucking family support right there, and I love every bit of it.

I have so many thoughts about this song, so here it goes:

she didn’t have a prayer of beating Rybak, but this is still impressive

the staging looks like Lisa Frank in her blue period

this is the second time Iceland got second place in a year ending in a 9. I want this pattern to continue.
