Oh yeah, being Deranged about Mine and RGGJo earlier today got me thinking about the Hakuho Clan/Sawashiro Family office…

So there are (from what I can tell) two ways into Mine's gym, one through the main office and one through a small side room. You only see a sliver of it in exactly one (1) shot, but there's a grand piano in said side room. A look at that part of the office model to confirm, although it seems to be missing like... all of the other furnishings. Also sorry it looks like a hurricane went through the place, it's just the horrors, they're unending again.

And he has that piano statuette in his display case, right? I can't really tell what it's supposed to be, if anything, but at one point, a friend suggested it looked like a trophy. Since Mine is Canonically Perfect At Everything He Does, I would be willing to buy that.

But if that's how we look at it… then the consequence… of keeping everything the same for Jo's office… is that… if it IS the same Hakuho Clan office and the Sawashiro Family have taken roost… whether Jo even knows how to play the piano or not… he just has a trophy Some Other Guy won on display…

OK BUT ACTUALLY THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME ABOUT THE PIANO YOU HAVE NO IDEA months ago I was trying to do a room layout of Mine's apartment/office and for the life of me I couldn't figure out what the fuck that black mass behind Katase was (I think I initially just chalked it up to another piece of abstract art but a piano is MUCH spicier) since I was trying to discern exactly what room that was but. Regardless.

About the statuette in Mine's main office, both considering it's golden and there's that little plaque below it, it's a PRETTY safe bet to assume it is a trophy (can't imagine any other reason why you'd have a golden statuette of a piano while also owning a piano. Maybe just a piano fanatic ☠️).

Ergo concluding that the thing IS a trophy. Lmao. Lol even WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE THAT

Thunder legion hcs but some of them get weirdly specific bc i think abt them too much

(Part 1??)

- Originally Bickslow and Freed lived together as roommates, Evergreen lived in fairy hills and Laxus had his own penthouse. When Fairy Tail disbanded they began living together while they were in Blue Pegasus as it was just easier, and they never stopped (im running off the hc that theyre all living together for most of these)

- Freed is the cook of the raijin tribe, they used to have a cooking rotor but it slowly became just Freed cooking every night

- Evergreen CAN cook basic meals but hates doing it so just, wont. Back when there was a schedule she asked Freed to do it instead and he usually agreed because he enjoys cooking

- Bickslow also can cook, but likes to experiment quite heavily and will not be convinced to make a normal meal. Got banned from cooking after he served shrimp pasta with ice cream

- Laxus can cook you a damn good grilled cheese, but thats it. Only cooks when people are feeling like grilled cheese

- Bickslow is a painter, not-quite Reedus level but still good, they like to paint from the imagination more than from reference which ends in very interesting (and only mildly disturbing) pieces

- Evergreen likes to garden, its something she started when she was young because her mother told her fairies like to care for nature. Their apartment is filled with various plants that she keeps and cares for, and while she could use magic to help them grow she prefers doing it by hand

- Freed enjoys playing a lot of musical instruments, hes best at violin and has been playing since quite young along with piano, but can also play gutair and bass as of more recently. Also has a collection of books in the apartment, originally all stored in his room before he ran out of space

- They have a schedule of getting up at about 7am at the latest most days, its not heavily enforced day to day but they stick to it on missions, if not getting up even earlier depending on the job

- Off-mission though? Nobody is actually getting up at 7am. Bickslow doesnt have a set time to wake but tends to actually be an early riser, he enjoys the mornings so he usually gets up a bit before 7, occasionally to do some painting or stretch ect

- Freed wakes up at 6am sharp and gets straight out of bed, no yawning or stretching or anything just stands up and walks away

- he is also the one attempting to enforce the 7am rule (sorry king) but bickslow usually joins in if only to annoy people

- Evergreen prefers to sleep in a bit more where possible, usually till half 8 or 9 if she can get away with it, then spends way to long in the bathroom doing her hair, makeup, and picking an outfit

- Laxus normally gets up at 10 and is impossible to wake before that, youd have to kick him awake and hes still grumpy afterwards

- Freed is French (I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL) and comes from a military background, specifically a noble house that specialised in military trading and training in France (i have an entire backstory mapped out for this freak if anyones interested drop me an ask)

- Bickslow grew up in the circus, hes always been naturally flexible but its where he honed that ability as well as learning some acrobatics, however it burned down when he was a teenager and the puppets (“babies”) he keeps around are the result of friends who died in that fire

- Evergreen is Scottish and grew up mostly raised by a single mother, her father was around for a few years but was generally a horrible man, a drinker and abuser who eventually left her mother alone. She also has a brother a few years younger than her who she helped to raise and is still close to

- Freed is the tactician of the thunder legion, comes along with being a leader but hes usually the one coming up with the plans

- Speaking of, hes someone who prefers to have a plan before a fight where possible, particularly as his magic is one where its difficult to construct quickly, especially if he wants a high powered jutsu shiki. So while he can think quickly on his feet hed rather have a plan mapped out

- Evergreen is the one who’s best at thinking quickly, if they end up in a situation where a snap decision needs to be made shes confident enough to make it and order her teammates around without second guessing herself

- They also all understand the importance of teamwork and its the main reason they’re so effective (as seen in the battle of fairy tail) their close bond allows them to work extremely well together, even if they tend to argue sometimes

- When Bickslow dislikes someone they have a habit of showing it on his face, usually by pulling a disgusted expression

- Ever does this too in a more subtle way, usually exchanging a glance with one of the thunder legion if shes not liking what somebodies saying. She WILL be gossiping about it later

- If Freeds not interested in a conversation he just silently walks away when youre not looking, people have gone 10 minutes before noticing hes left before

- Laxus just leaves mid-sentence though, doesn’t even think about it just walks away

- None of them can drive anywhere for various reasons, Laxus obviously gets extremely motion sick so is out for the count right off the bat

- Bickslow was banned due to being deemed “a danger to himself and others” after he got too many speeding tickets and crashed the car into a postbox

- Evergreen literally applies makeup while driving, shes blasting the radio while doing lipstick without looking at the road and its terrifying

- Freed is who people THINK would be the most responsible driver, and while he’ll get you to your destination safely, he also has a bad habit of ignoring the speed limit and accidentally running red lights. Unlike Bickslow however hes somehow managed to avoid getting any tickets

Demo plays bagpipes, not because of any of the obvious reasons. Oh no, he does it purely to piss people off! Tell him to stop, and he'll rant about his heritage. The other mercs just don't understand how important my heritage is to him! He literally has to play the bagpipes at 6:32 am. because otherwise, he will lose any sense of his identity. He's actually gotten really good at it. The other mercs can't really tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Hey, we know Engie is great on the guitar, but did you know he also kills on the harmonica? He loves to play the blues and slow songs. He just likes to play something easy and fun. He also just likes to make up his own songs. It's just something he really likes. He plays songs for Pyro sometimes, and Pyro can weirdly harmonize with the harmonica. It's unsettling, but Engie finds it charming.

Heavy loves to play the piano, Medic actually taught him how to play it! He had always had an interest in the piano. His mother probably played it a lot when he was a child, and it always fascinated him, but his mom didn't let him touch it. She was always worried about it breaking. When he found out Medic had a piano, he asked him about it, and Medic offered to teach him. He's even allowed in the lab when Medic isn't there to practice. He's a fan of Beethoven, and you can hear it from the lab at odd hours.

Scout is a machine on the drums. I honestly think he's great on any instrument. I think he can focus really well on anything with music. It's one of his huge passions. He just doesn't really talk about it too much. He's really into fast-paced songs, and he would definitely be one of the types to be violently head banging while playing the drums. He wants to be in a band so bad!

Spy, like Medic, is a fan of the violin! He feels so classy playing it. My man plays the saddest music you've ever heard. I swear he's broken at least two violins from the amount of stress he's transferred to them. He may or may not have learned the into to Toxic, but he would never admit that. He actually probably has a large repertoire of songs that are either pop or sad songs.

Soldier plays the trumpet, and oh my god, if he and Demo team up, the other mercs have to use all their willpower to not kill them both. He mainly learned it to play that one wake-up song and all other generally army-ish songs. Honestly, he'd be really good at most instruments, but he's not too interested. Has this deep love for the trumpet thats not going away.

Pyro plays the Otamatone, and I will die on this hill. They have at least a million songs in their mind at all times. Most of them are video games songs that Scout suggested. But they also learned how to play Funky Town and a few other silly songs. They also really like how cute it is! They have multiple different versions and colors. It's one of their favorite things ever.

Here me out :

band au and human au and highschool au. Garage band au. I have thoughts.

bart, kyborg, and mudd are all seniors in high school. Gumgum is a first year/im not from amrica i dont know what thats called.

Bart is sad because its his last year of highschool and he still hasnt made his dream band- hes not been dragged down by gumgum, but he was so focused on him he didnt get around to it- so he decides to wait after the schools music practices and find people to sign up, his only recruit being gumgum on the drums so far. at the same time as this, mudd and kyborg are wrapping up their music classes- piano for mudd and violin for kyborg. They arent friends by any stretch, and mudd straight up doesn't like Kyborg *side note hes usually refered to as ky for the beginning half of it and i'll explain why in a second*, but they happen to be walking close together when bart spots them. Bart and mudd had hung out a few times, bart having taught mudd a few bass guitar things, and so he leaps at the chance. mudd only decides to because hes spent so long being proper (taking piano lessons he hates, coming from a rich and uptight family) he wants to try a hint of rebellion.

kyborg, in an effort to seem cool, asks to join, hiding his violin and saying he can play electric guitar (hes good but hes not as great as he hams himself up to be) .

thus the band "the infinights" is formed.

mudd: before joining the band he had black hair but bart helped him dye it. Made his parents mad, but it made him really really, and eventually the other infinights convinced him to tell his parents he wanted to quit piano. Also has epilepsy and memory issues gumgum: gumgum is excited about the band, but it makes him sad as time goes on to know their all going to graduate before him. hes in a foster home, but he doesnt like it, so he spends all his time hanging out in barts flat.

bart: adores having a band. Worked in a near reverse of mudd because managing it all actually taught him to be a bit more responsible. Shared an orphanage with gumgum when they were little, till he found his parents, and had him and gumgum live with him till bart moved out senior year and gumgum got taken to a foster home, the finns a bit too old to handle their chaos. kyborg: is neutral about the band. He likes music, but electric guitar isnt his usual pace, so hes hesitant. Violin was his life until his mother died, and hes working on exploring his other interests. He doesnt show anyone hes missing an arm till a practice where hes having bad phantom pains and has to tell them. Was homeless until highschool, struggling to pay for a small apartment.

Additional:

dr ahem: dr ahem is an inventor that had been scrounging for cash, and decided to let a garage band use his facilities to practice, that became a sensation until they deformed. One night coming home he saw them playing a gig and new they'd be a success and offered his guidance to them. brink: a member of paralytes new band the everguards- thinks hes cool because hes in a band with college kids- plays the drums (its later revealed that he actually plays the trumpet and was just forced to play the drums (spectrils old roll) to make luz happy). He messes around with kyborg- and is the only one in the whole school that knows about kyborgs arm.

inku: works for a corrupt business under a man named entropa. Barts parents were both musicians, good ones too, so with the help of hugh manor manages to trap them both in what seemed like a never ending business contract in order to keep themselves a float financially. Not wanting bart to have to bare not having them be around, they tearfully put him up for adoption and continued working under her.

Quadron: a burglar, vague partners with entropa but really just doing the stealing thing. Was born without arms, and dr ahem spent all his money on making him prosthetics- but this sank his brother into heavy debt and into a heavier depression. He started stealing to make money for them, but eventually it became a vent for his frustration with life. One burglary was towards a comfortable house, but they fought back- so he killed the whole family besides a young kydelious, who instead got shot in the arm near fatally. Qudron ran, lighting the place ablaze- but a while later dr ahem brought a child missing an arm into their home. Kydelious. Seeing quadron sent the kid into a panic, and he fled off into the wilderness.

and yeah! Thats most of it!

Hello, may I offer, for your consideration since ive had this stuck in my head:

The Rise TMNT having a super punk/goth friend. They mention one day during a movie marathon somthing regarding music. Like, idk some bad guy getting someone with a piano wire and Reader just being like "That's not even a piano wire. Thats a guitar string..." April asks how they know and the reader mutters something about "having to buy enough strings to know the sizes and types."

Cue the Mad Dogs all gasping in shock!! Reader knows their instrument strings, that means they probably play!! They beg and plead for them to give a performance and, reluctantly, they agree. They seem nervous though. Come to find out, they never have played in front of someone. Not outside of classes and such. Theyre nervous. Antsy. Apparently at their big solo for a school thing, they froze and choked.

("Do you know why?" "I dont know. it was just all...so much. The suits, the heat of the lights, the massive crowd of people, the eyes, the pressure, I just....Yeah...")

Eventually it comes around to the day. Leo has been texting Reader all day to make them laugh and ease up, reminding them to wear something they WANT. Raph is helping move some speakers and amps to the half pipe, finding it has the best acoustics. Donnie has been the one setting stuff up, getting lights and such in working order. April is lending a hand and setting up a camera and doing sound checks. Mikey is doing Decor! he's made a banner, "Concerto De Reader" for the big event and make some snacks for after!

("...Hey, does anyone actually know what kind of instrument they play??" "No..." "Mmm welp its a bit late to ask without it being weird..." "Listen, its Reader. Its gonna be a guitar." "They WERE talking about the guitar string, remember?" "Yeah you're right that makes sense...")

Time finally comes and the reader makes their way in, and surprise, surprise, theyre still horrifically nervous. And clutched in hand...is a case much smaller than a guitar. But perfect for a violin.

(Poor Donatello nearly loses it. They're gonna think they're idiots for setting up an amp!!)

They set the Reader up, get them in the perfect spot.

Reader steps up to the mic, and is stopped by Leonardo taking their jacket. Raph untucks their shirt from their pants. "Just be casual." Says Mikey, with a big grin. April has her phone ready for pictures. Donnie dims the lights so theyre softer, less harsh and hot.

Big ol' goth Reader finally opens up the instrument case and check it, its a sweet electric violin.

("Yeah. That seems fitting." "Ohhhh mi gosh the amp was a good choice in the end!" "Oh this is gonna be so rad!" "chill out, Reader need to focus!" "Yeah but man im so excited...")

The reader takes a big, calming breath, Places the violin on their shoulder/chin, holds the bow above the strings....And freezes.

The gang can fix the lights. they can fix the clothes. they can make it casual or formal or anything in between.

But they cant change that theyre watching.

And once again, Reader chokes.

The gang waits patiently, some giving soothing words and encouragement and others patiently waiting or trying to ask whats wrong. But reader has frozen, blank stare at the ground, hand shaking a bit as they try to press the bow to the strings but they just CANT and-

Something comes into view. Two small pink feet and a long tale tucked under yellow cloth.

Splinter stands in front of the Reader, back to them, as he huffs and nags his sons over dishes left in the sink and a few pizza boxes left out.

("Whats the heck dad?!" "Hey!! Down in front!!" "Dad, seriously not a good time" "Hi Splints. :)" "Hello April :)" "Uggghhh..!!!")

Splinter continues to bicker with his sons and April, and any attempt to move him his met with a swift smack or threat of grounding. The teens are all so focused on the large rat, currently center stage and ruining the concerto, that its causing a problem.

....Focused on him, and not on Reader.

They take a shudding breath, and, while theyre busy, close their eyes and begin to play the first few notes.

Splinter's ear twitches and a slight smile crosses his face as he continues. The others catch on and, either have their attention on him or their phones

Amd Reader has their first performance, there in the sewers of new york, with their friends arguing with their dad about who's turn it is to take the trash out or whether Jupiter Jim 3D the 4th was a sell out or not.

And they cant help but smile at that.

Oh my.. god?? I love this idea so much!

Just. Everyone loving you enough to try and make you comfortable; going above and beyond to set up the stage area, just because they care about you.

Splinter probably knew what was happening. After all, it's the lair; not a ton of places to set up shop.

Knowing how he was as Lou Jitsu, it's likely that he's used the Distraction method before. Get the rest of the cast/crew to focus their attention elsewhere just enough that whoever's in the spotlight can truly shine.

Everyone catching on and continuing to keep their eyes off of reader even though the whole thing was set up to watch them play, because they know that they're more comfortable like this? Perfection.

CHUUYA ENJOYS A GOOD amount of classical music. whenever he gets home, his hand would be in his ears, taking out the earbud thats been resting until he got in front of the familiar door. he shares his enjoyment with you, recommending composers and putting some on your shared playlist. 

perhaps it could be over a glass of wine with you, soft violin and piano playing on the large record player as the two of you chat. or in the car as he complains on how hes seen dazai on the streets again with an angry grip on the wheel. maybe when the two of you are out, he gives you a side to one of the wireless earbuds and walk around, hand in hand with yours.

the gingers enthusiasm over such a genre makes you think, perhaps hes just an old man who enjoys old man music.

Some nice Darkiplier headcanons for our first ever Headcanon friday!:

He does wear normal clothes on rare occasions, tank tops, cardigans, jogging pants, sometimes he even wears dog socks. But only to bed because he sleeps later then everyone.

Old man, does not know how the internet works and only knows how to use gmail/email because of course its work.

Chocolate cake is probably his favorite, and may be the reason why he has a sweet tooth. Ice cream cake is a possibility too.

He wears long dresses because he can. And he looks damn lovely in them. Black or night blue are the ones he likes most.

Plays the violin (in my opinion) Both the twins used to love playing the violin, mostly Celine since Damien was more of a piano player.

He actually memorized some songs the other egos randomly blast through the manor since the music plays daily.

He brings a napkin on his suit pocket everywhere he goes because he knows the Jims/Yan/Eric hell even Wilford, would get some part of their face messy.

ok completely unrelated to mcyt rant but i hate it SO MUCH when someone makes a video like "did you know that people in other cultures think songs in minor keys sound happy??? how could someone hear THIS and be happy???" and then play the most soul crushing chopin violin composition known to man like OF COURSE THAT SOUNDS SAD ITS WESTERN MUSIC. IN WESTERN MUSIC MINOR = SAD. it's not the fucking key or the chords that makes nocturne in c sharp minor sad, it's the repetitive piano arpeggios, the lilting violin melodies, and the slow tempo that make it fucking sad. yk what other song is in a minor key? PARTY ROCK ANTHEM BY LMFAO. THATS NOT A SAD SONG ITS AN EDM BOP. like i want to hear what music from that culture sounds like to see whether or not i perceive it as happy too!!! cause i'm sure i'd be rocking along if someone got up and started shredding on a pan flute or a sitar in E minor!!!

So Jospeh Nathaniel Lambert was born on September 10th 2000 to his mother Lousie and Marc Lambert.

Growing up his best friend was Ophelia Aburt, their families being close

Louise has a thing where everything has to be perfect, so Nathan grew up playing piano, violin and doing football. The one hobby he picked himself was ballet.

(if you're not doing them rn that's fine lol, just delete this ask) i'm a nonbinary/transmasc (he/they) with dark wavy hair thats about waist length. i'm pretty thin, but my job is physically demanding so i'm starting to build more muscle. i'm 5'8, pretty pale, and have freckles. i wear mostly black and i like wearing high heeled boots/platform shoes because i get dysphoric about my height.

im very quiet, but that's mostly because i don't like small talk. it's very draining to me and i don't like having to maintain social connections that feel superficial, so for those reasons i can come across as cold or rude without meaning to. it isn't really anyone's fault, i just genuinely enjoy being alone most of the time. i have a very hard time expressing myself vocally and prefer to text or write whatever it is i want to say. i'm an emotional person, but i'm not very expressive around other people. i really only open up around close friends and even then it's not by a whole lot. i always try my best to treat others with kindness, but if someone is continuously rude to me then i just ghost them or i intentionally piss them off for fun. the internet has permanently fucked up my sense of humor. i cant stop spending money on expensive ass clothes/body wash/hair care crap/cologne but i just like looking good and smelling good!! goddamn!!!

in terms of like romance or relationships or whatever: i don't like it when strangers flirt with me and i don't date for fun or anything like that. again, i don't like entertaining surface-level connections at all. i'm very introverted, so i want to be able to give all my energy to the people i'm actually close to. if i'm in a relationship with someone, then i'm 110% serious about it because it takes a lot for me to be close enough to someone to even consider dating them.

Mick is the type of man to struggle with connections, so when you can across each other, he definitely appreciated the time he could have to actually fully get to know you. The man definitely can understand the need for alone time, so you can bet that he knows when you need space and when to come around and give you some extra care you might need. He definitely digs the aesthetic and compliments you so much about your platforms, he asks you to read his cards on occasion and listens so much when you want to talk about any sort of astrology to him. He does a lot of travelling, so he definitely loves talking about stars with you whenever you guys hang out together at night.

Whenever he goes on his missions, he makes it such an important part of it to bring you back a new rock you might not have in your collection. He definitely supports your love for plants, definitely would pick up a thing or two to be able to take care of some along with you, ever since meeting you he swears he's never had more plant life in his camper than he did before. Might even bring you a plant you've had your eye on over giving you flowers, but its the thought that matters, no? If you ever showed him your love for old weaponry, you can bet this man lights up and drops so many facts about any old guns he might know, for some reason he knows a lot about it but mainly he likes to do research on what weapon would work best for his line of work soooo, if that explains anything. If you'd let him, he's love to listen in if you ever wanted to practice piano or violin, might even play along with you if you asked him to, Mick is definitely one to appreciate the musical arts, and loves the fact you're so interested in it!

Mick is also in love with any sort of fragrance you use, expensive soaps, etc. He compliments you on any new one you're trying out and gets excited when you show him a new one, on occasion once he knows you well enough, you definitely might be surprised with a new cologne you told him in passing you liked or a new outfit you've been wanting. Sure he might not flat out say he is into you, but he is subtle with his means in telling you he likes you a lot, he likes the bluntness you have if you had ghosted someone rude to you, might even drop an idea or two on how to annoy them since he also finds it kind of entertaining. Once you guys are together, he also struggles with showing proper emotions, so instead he writes you little notes telling you how much you mean to him instead, hoping that gets the point across as best as he's trying to do.

If it makes you feel any better, this man probably laughs at the video of the falling waffle, so if you ever wanted to share any sort of obscure thing you like then you definitely might share the same sense of humor. Sure he takes his time being able to be open with you, but once he feels like you guys have had enough time hanging out with each other, Its like seeing a flower bloom with what other stuff he shares with you. He doesn't mind if you needed more time until you feel comfortable with him, he's a sniper so of course he's learned the art of being so patient with you as long as you need him to be.
