For violence breeds violence, and sin begets sin, Yet the audible Word can draw us within, Transforming our hearts, renewing our sight, Illuminating the path from darkness to light.

In the grip of despair, when our voices grow weak, The whispers of Christ, we find what we seek, A touch of forgiveness, a glimmer of hope, In the shadows of sorrow, we learn how to cope.

The temptress, the false god who lies, With promises gilded, he leads us to the grave, But the voice of the Savior speaks louder and clear, Inviting the weary to draw ever near.

For within this great struggle, a lesson unfolds: That love can triumph where the spirit once scolds, And the power of Christ, like a sword in the fray, Can vanquish the darkness, turning night into day.

So let us awaken to the truth of our plight, Embrace the complexity, the shadow, the light, For even in struggle, there’s a chance to be free, A recognition of Christ spirit, and who we can be.

Let us rise from the ashes, let us break every chain, A spirit of God, a union of pain, For in our collective, we’re bound to reflect, The beauty of life, the essence of respect.

The shadowed spirit walks, seeking control, For each heart has the power, each mind has the goal, To rise above violence, to shun the Vipers deceit, To find in the struggle, our journey complete.

Caught myself thinking about Chloe Bourgeois and my unpopular opinions about her (that redemption arcs are so expected in any mean character of any media that she is a refreshingly nuanced and interesting take on a character that refuses to take accountability and go through a redemption arc because she doesn't like the consequences that come with taking responsibility for her bad actions and that I very much prefer how her arc is unfortunately tragic in the original show). I am then shot 57 times.

Okay, I'm doing my second watch of The Grand Complication Job, and in the jewelry details, there is a really nice but subtle callback to The Girls Night Out Job. There, Sophie and Tara were in white and black respectively, kind of emphasizing the contrast between them.

And in this episode, Tara's got the silver jewelry and Sophie's got the gold jewelry, just a nice little detail.

There's also a reference to a Boylan-Kim motion detector which I assume is a reference to Christine "Kit" Boylan and Albert Kim, who were part of the OG Leverage crew. I also think Redemption's S1 The Great Train Job was based on an old idea that Boylan had had for the original series. Kim went on to work on the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender series.

Bad End: The Fall

Summary: It's my Hound!MC Alon's birthday, so I made some sketches of them and Mhin based on the scene from Transformers One! For context, the idea is that Vere has gotten himself free and went on a rampage in the Senobium, slaughtering students and clerics alike, and destroying the labs and archives, along with all hope of finding cures for Mhin and Alon's respective curses. In the midst of the massacre, Vere finally made Mhin lose control of the monster within them and they have transformed into a crow monster hybrid. There is a brutal and bloody fight between them but Mhin has finally defeated Vere and is about to kill him, when Alon, their partner, stops them.

“What are you doing?”

“It’s over. He lost.”

“So did we! We lost everything because of him — I have to do this!”

“No, you don’t. Look at him, he's down. He's no longer a threat.”

“He needs to die! Can’t you see that?”

“This won’t cure either of us! Don't do this, Mhin. Don’t be the monster he says you are.”

Yk what I’ll say it I prefer the arcade game version of Bass and Duo’s dynamic to all of the manga interactions they’ve had. In the arcade game Duo is like “haha you’re a weirdo. Glad we’re friends :)” and Bass actually kinda agrees with him. Then in the manga versions they take away all the acknowledgement Duo makes toward Bass not being a wholly evil person and their dynamic is reduced to “it’s ON SIGHT” no matter the context. I feel like I’ve said this before but I’m SAYING IT AGAIN

The Poodle Demon regarded Charlie with an inquisitive look as he gingerly stepped into the Hazbin Hotel. The decor and ambiance were unlike anything he had ever seen in Hell – a stark contrast to the sinful chaos that filled the outside world. He wasn't entirely sure what he had expected, nevertheless, he responded to her warm greeting with a cautious, "Greetings," his voice tinged with a hint of skepticism. "My name is Norrington, and I've heard about your efforts to help sinners find redemption."

His green eyes bore into Charlie as he continued, "Before I agree to this, perhaps you can tell me a little more about how you might... help a sinner demon such as myself. I've been in Hell for centuries you see, and the concept of redemption is foreign to most here. What can you offer that makes it possible?"

ok but for REAL...why does Ludinus want Bells Hells? for all I joke, I don't think he's actually stupid when it comes to that kind of strategy; I just think he's so lost in the sauce of god-hating that he fails to understand that other people could legitimately have other perspectives. I don't think he's stupid enough to try to bring over people who have consistently hated him and who he's very deliberately antagonized without a reason. I think him offering Caleb a position on the Assembly was more of a "keep your enemies close" (especially since they had never actually been openly at odds) but he's attacked Bells Hells before. Some of it is his terminal "not my fault" problems (Otohan makes for a great scapegoat, huh) but I really wonder if Liliana is, for whatever reason, insufficient to bring his plan to fruition. I wonder if she's cut and run or if Ludinus has just realized that Imogen being on the opposite side is a risk; I also wonder if Fearne is somehow important as both fey and Ruidusborn given Ludinus's comment on her being a living nexus - we know leylines and planar travel are linked in some ways. But I think some part of his original plan is seriously at risk without Bells Hells on his side.

IM SO NORMAL ABOUT THE DOGMAN (2025) I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HE THINKS ABOUT HIS ORIGIN STORY

WHY DID NO ONE IN THE MOVIE SEEM TO CARE WHEN OFFICER KNIGHT DIED

Like ok. Yes I get that the whole DogMan series is the brainchild of two fifth graders but THE BODY HORROR. THE GRIEF. PLEASE.

Dogman is up and running and jumping out of that hospital as soon as he wakes up from surgery. Where is his recovery period. Did he fall and fail, trying to work Knight's body like it was his own? Does he avoid the mirrors in the hospital, and struggle to recognize himself without his owner? How does he learn to use the hands he has been gifted (or cursed) with, even with the body's muscle memory?

Not to mention how Knight's ex-girlfriend has packed up and gutted the house. Even if he wanted to just have one night home, trying to pretend things are normal and okay, he can't. Forget trying to revisit old memories and properly grieve his owner, because for those first few days he's stuck between sleeping in the office and being homeless right after the realtor calls him a freak. HOW IS HE NOT MORE UPSET BEFORE THE PHONOGRAPH SCENE.

NOT TO EVEN GET STARTED ON THE CAT. PETEY. BROTHER YOU HAVE FUCKED UPPPPPPPPPPPPP. YOU KILLED A MAN. AND A DOG. HALF OF EACH, REALLY. Dogman growls just hearing Petey's NAME at first. Does he blame Petey for his state? For Knight? Or is his good-hearted nature pushing him to forgive and forget? Can he forgive this? And if he can forgive, can he forget?

I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT HE'S THINKING. I NEED TO STUDY HIM.
