Hey everyone! I’m going to be away for a few days, so for the next week the blog will be running on a queue. There will be no lack of Grians, don’t worry! But I will probably have difficulty replying to questions for a bit, so just be aware of that.

Witch Scar is part of a Scarian AU that I am working on. Scar's pronouns are She/Her and He/Him. Scar's a mom to 3 cats which can transform into human Jellie, Maui, Pearl. In this AU Maui and Pearl belong to Scar, not to Grian. Grian while helping the cats get back to their mother and when he finds her, he falls in love with their mother. Grian doesn't know that this beautiful-looking person is a Witch (yet) he better be careful because he lives with people who hate witches and will kill them in any way possible.

Yes, I know. I like Jellie though, and I'm the admin here, so nothing about that is changing.

But besides Jellie, just in the past week I have also posted/reblogged photos of: Phil and Kristin's neighbor's cat Gus, Eret and Elaina's cat Goose, Bizly's cat Callisto, Patches, Niki's cats Mai and Zuko, Shubble's cat Starlord, Maui and Pearl, Martyn's cats Kiki and Pascal, and Norman. That is 12 other cats besides Jellie.

One reason there has been a lot of Jellie today is because it is hermit-a-day May and yesterday was pet day, so there's been a lot of fanart of hermit cats in general. Jellie is in a lot of those posts but I just reblogged the cat-related ones I saw. I like reblogging fanart because I have a large following and it gives artists a big boost on their work. Jellie has also popped up a lot recently because she was the winner of the catfight poll and I reblogged most of those rounds.

If there is a cat you would like to see, please be aware that I have always had submissions enabled for this blog, and photos can be attached to asks. You can also make a request to see a cat too, although the timeline on me answering those is questionable at best because a lot get lost in my ask box.

The Misadventures of the Hermitpets: Chapter 1

(Im putting this on Tumblr, BECAUSE WATTPAD IS BEING A LITTLE SHIT! sorry I angey)

[??? POV]

The creaking of the stairs was all I could hear, it was faint and I wasn't sure since I was half asleep. As I was about to return to the kingdom of slumber, the footsteps were growing louder as if somebody was running towards me. I shuffled in my sleep but tried desperately to calm my breathing.

The door then suddenly I knew I wasn't going to be in peace for long

"PEARL! WAKE UP!" The figure screamed and pounced on my chest which knocked the air out of my lungs. Then I was able to figure out what was going on.

My name is Pearl, the heavy person almost suffocating me is my brother Maui. Maui and I are very different as you can tell.

I am calm, timid, and occasionally worried about my surroundings but I know when there is danger.

Maui however, is care free, he is silly, kooky, and most importantly he gets in trouble. The trouble trait is from my...my dad.

My dad along with all of his friends were suddenly gone. Was it magic? I don't know myself, all I know is that I had woken up as a human. well almost a human, my ears and tail stayed the same. You would assume that once I became human I would be up and running, well you would be wrong. We all had a hard time walking on two feet, picking things up without our mouths and communicating with each other. As you can tell barking and meowing are two different things but somehow are different languages as well, who knew? I'd love to stay and chat about the discovery but right now there are matters I must deal with now.

"You won't get off until I get up, huh?" Maui shook his head and had an evil grin on his face, showing his slightly sharp teeth. I groaned and got up knowing that Maui would lay on my back because he has done it before when I took his toy!

[3rd person POV]

Pearl sighed and got up from the top part of their bunk beds. Maui called dibs on the top bunk but realized that Pearl was lighter than him. Pearl got up and rummaged through her closet to pull up her grey and black polka dot sweater which was hung next to Maui’s bronze and black polka dot and striped sweater. She had unzipped her cat onesie which was at first used as a comfort tool but is pretty soft to wear. She had grabbed her satchel and was on her way with her brother.

The duo walked around their village and waved to everyone, from the sisters Glados and Atlas, to Remi while she is sparring with an armor stand. They had sat down to their little tent while Maui was their mascot for their shop. He would dance around with his sign while Pearl would handle the money.

Pearl yawned before seeing a pair of tiny hands trying to reach up, Pearl leaned across the desk (which was a crate turned upside down and had a sigh with red ink on it) to grab the small hands and was met with a girl that was smaller than Pearl.

“Hey Luna” Maui helped Luna to sit on the desk and meet eye contact with Pearl.

“Thanks for help, what do you guys sell?” the hamster hybrid looked around and didn’t see anything that they were selling.

“we sell fish, wood, tools, and for 5 diamonds, Maui will do a little dance for you for 5 minutes,” Pearl nudged to Maui and he shot up. 

“my record of dancing without catnip or a break is 27 minutes! I plan on breaking it!” Maui started stretching and jogging in place Pearl and Luna giggle before Pearl looked down and ran away. Maui stopped dancing and called out for her but she was already gone, Maui looked at Luna with a frown which Luna returned.

“Pearl? Sis, where are you?!” Maui yelled while Luna looked down and saw a pair of feet under their bunk bed which was accompanied by sniffling. Pearl was small enough to fit under while Maui got on his belly and looked at her under the bed. Luna did the same and looked at her in concern. Pearl was curled in a ball with tear stains on her cheeks, red puffy eyes, and a mouse toy that she was holding on as if her life depended on it.

“Pearl whats going on?” Maui tilted his head and brushed his cat ears on the oak planks. 

“I m-miss, I miss dad and you remind me so much of him...,” Pearl got over her sniffling fit and looked at the cat toy. One of the toy she takes and runs off to her hiding place. Maui frowned and realized that he missed his dad as well. Luna just nodded her head and reached her arm to rest on her shoulder. Maui’s frown became a determined look and shot up

“why don’t we go look for them ourselves?! I bet they miss us just as much as we miss them!” 

“Maui, we don’t know where they are, and we don’t know how dangerous it will be” Luna retorted. 

“I don’t care how dangerous it will be, I won’t stand by if there is an option to save my dad” Maui looked down and saw Pearl holding on to the toy tighter and shrugging. 

“Pearl, would you give ANYTHING to play tug of war with dad or get cuddles, or go back to the way things used to be? We are a team and I won’t do this without you,” Maui stuck his hand out and Pearl sniffled before grabbing onto his hand.

“I’m in” Pearl nodded, crawled out from under the bed, and wiped her tears before she felt something tap her waist.

“Don’t count me out” Luna retorted and Maui laughed before throwing her on his shoulders. 

“first we should get recruits!” Maui walked while swaying his tail in excitement

“First we need to talk to the mayor” Pearl sighed
