I wanted to ask anyone out there who uses Fentanyl patches to help with their pain how they get on with them? I find that as it gets to about 65 hours (they normally need to be changed after 72hours) I can really notice them wearing off. I start getting a lot of breakthrough pain and I start to feel quite ill and tired. I find that the Fentanyl has the unpleasant side effect of causing constipation but on the day the patch is due to be changed I get really bad diarrhoea. Does anyone else find the dose doesn’t seem to administer evenly or is it just me? I also have a lot of trouble making them stick! I used to use Tegaderm dressings over the top to keep them on but they ripped my skin so I changed to hyperfix but then you can’t see if there is any water under the patch either from sweat or from having a bath, swimming etc… I’d be grateful for any ideas or feedback. I’ve been on the patches for 18 years and tried different brands but Durogesic seem to suit me the best. The only trouble is that as the dose goes up the bigger the patch and the thicker the patch. Shiro had gotten used to his scars. It hadn’t been easy. When he had first seen his face in a mirror after escaping the Galra, he had barely recognized himself. He had had to learn to accept the scars as part of him -that included the prosthetic arm and the locks of white hair. He had adjusted to how sometimes they still hurt, even to the phantom pain from his arm – that was the worst part of it. The scars were his history written on his skin, a reminder of what he’d been through. Those weren’t happy memories, but they also were a testimony of his ordeal when it all felt unreal, sometimes ; when his memory failed him, or when what he remembered seemed too crazy to be true. In a way, the scars kept him grounded. The physical, visible scars helped when the mental, hidden scars started to hurt. The marks on his skin were also proof that he’d survived all that shit. Well, up to a certain point.

I know Covid is holding everything up but back in mid November my GP sent in a request for a simple plain x-ray of my hip and lower back as I was in so much pain. We are now nearly in March and still waiting. I tried to chase it but the GP receptionist said that the request has gone in so I just need to wait. I got a survey through to ask if I was satisfied with how my appointment went. The appointment was okay except my GP kept asking me what I wanted him to do instead of telling me what he was going to do! Eventually he said he would request an x-ray, request a bone scan and refer me to the MSK team. All I’ve had is the bone scan! So, am I satisfied with the service and am I still in pain?

It's definitely the most direct Coheed have ever been with their lyrics. Both Afterman albums have more of a broadwayish feel to it, which gives them more of a standalone feeling outside of the other Amory Wars albums, but it still feels closer to their pre-YOTBR stuff. When they released some of the singles before the album was released, I kept thinking "this is shit, this is awful", but they grew on me really fast, even if the lyrics are absolutely atrocious in some places. This happens literally every time they release an album for me. Bluh.
