I had a really sweet name prepared for the heartleaf philodendron that I got in trade today and this plant is not sweet.

She seems like she wants to find and strangle something. I mean, I'm impressed and intrigued but...

Damn, girl. We are going to have to go in a completely different direction with her name.

The plants, They speak to me

The curtains drawn, the moonlight gently dancing off the waxy violet-colored leaves as Rhoeas silently moved through the massive room, watering can in hand. A smile decorating his pale features. His plants were part of his world, a big part of it really. Having shifted from one place to another, Rhoeas worried for the mental states of his various plants. From his multiple bellis perennis to his hanging philodendron hederaceum. But the plants have been silent recently, which both comforted and worried the Jadeblood. He exhaled softly as he moved around the large room, watering each and every plant, being painstakingly careful not to overwater or underwater any of them. He's always been like this. Doing intense research into various plants he wanted to grow, learning how much watered they needed, how often they needed to be watered, what soil they liked and all of that. He tended to group plants with familiar needs together. Grouping alike flowers with each other, making sure hanging plants had enough room to spread out and grow. He took his time trimming and grooming his plants when need be. This was his happy place. Amongst the plants, amongst the dazzling flowers and earthy aromas. Amongst nature, Mother Nature's arms curled gently around him, cradling him as if he was a small child once more. A Highblood neighborhood wasn't really his preferred living space, but he couldn't complain really. It was clean, it had plenty of space for when the Jadeblood went on his little walks during the daylight hours. And he was living with his matesprite and kismesis. Closer to loved ones, far away from trauma. A soft murmur came from somewhere behind Rhoeas, the Jadeblood's slightly pointed ears perking up as he slowly turned around, clutching his watering can slightly. He closed his eyes and listened, stepping forward with caution. One of his plants was speaking to him. A sweet murmur, hushed gentle whispers on the still air. He stopped in front of a small clay vase, various little designs etched into the dark brown material. Inside said vase was a large group of tagetes. Gorgeous marigold flowers, dazzling oranges and yellows that contrasted against the vase's natural dark color. The murmuring came from here. And Rhoeas wasn't sure why. He knelt down and placed the watering can at his feet, silently listening as the flowers spoke to him. Whispers that only HE could hear. That only HE could understand. And the flower's message wasn't something he wanted to hear. The connection between life and death. A dazzling blaze of the sunrise.

Full late night repot and new (proper) moss pole, for my PB. This was a much needed upgrade! She has 3 growth points! I'll highlight those tomorrow.

Looking absolutely amazing, fully engulfing the moss pole! She's happy and healthy, and I'm excited to see her grow and mature into this new pole! 😁

Also I did get a small cutting that I'll be chopping up, and water propagating! Always exciting! 💚
