Drive Business Success with Premium Auto Insurance Leads
In the competitive world of auto insurance, acquiring high-quality leads is crucial for sustained growth and success. Premium auto insurance leads offer a strategic advantage, providing businesses with targeted, motivated prospects. By investing in the best auto insurance leads, companies can optimize their marketing efforts, increase conversion rates, and ultimately boost revenue.
The Importance of Quality Auto Insurance Leads
Understanding the Value of Premium Leads
The auto insurance market is saturated with providers vying for customers' attention. To stand out, businesses need to focus on acquiring premium leads—prospects who are actively seeking auto insurance and are ready to make a purchase decision. These high-intent leads can significantly reduce the time and effort spent on cold calling and chasing uninterested prospects.
The Impact on Conversion Rates
Utilizing the Best Auto Insurance Leads ensures that your sales team spends their time and resources on prospects with a higher likelihood of conversion. This not only improves the efficiency of your sales process but also enhances the overall customer experience, leading to higher satisfaction rates and better retention.
Strategies to Acquire Premium Auto Insurance Leads
Leveraging Advanced Data Analytics
To acquire the best auto insurance leads, businesses must leverage advanced data analytics tools. These tools can analyze vast amounts of data to identify patterns and trends, helping you to target prospects more effectively. By understanding the demographics, behaviors, and preferences of your ideal customers, you can tailor your marketing strategies to attract high-quality leads.
Utilizing Multi-Channel Marketing
Diversifying your marketing efforts across multiple channels can increase your reach and visibility. Utilize digital marketing techniques such as search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media marketing, and email campaigns. By maintaining a strong presence on various platforms, you can capture the attention of potential customers wherever they are.
Building Strategic Partnerships
Partnering with complementary businesses can also help in acquiring premium auto insurance leads. For instance, collaborating with car dealerships, repair shops, or financial advisors can provide access to a pool of potential customers who are already in need of auto insurance services. These partnerships can create a steady stream of high-quality leads.
Maximizing the Value of Your Leads
Implementing a Robust Lead Management System
To fully capitalize on the best auto insurance leads, it’s essential to have a robust lead management system in place. This system should track and manage leads throughout the sales funnel, ensuring that no opportunity is missed. Automated follow-ups, personalized communication, and detailed analytics can help in nurturing leads and converting them into loyal customers.
Training and Empowering Your Sales Team
A well-trained sales team is crucial for effectively handling premium auto insurance leads. Continuous training programs should focus on improving communication skills, product knowledge, and customer relationship management. Empower your team with the tools and resources they need to succeed, such as CRM software and sales automation tools.
Personalizing the Customer Experience
In today's market, personalization is key to winning over customers. Use the data collected from your leads to offer personalized solutions that meet their specific needs. Tailored quotes, customized policy options, and targeted marketing messages can enhance the customer experience and increase the likelihood of conversion.
Measuring Success and Adjusting Strategies
Analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Regularly analyze KPIs such as conversion rates, cost per lead, and customer acquisition costs to measure the success of your lead generation efforts. These metrics can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of your strategies and highlight areas for improvement.
Adjusting Your Approach
The auto insurance market is dynamic, and consumer preferences can change rapidly. Stay agile by continuously reviewing and adjusting your lead generation strategies based on the latest market trends and customer feedback. This proactive approach ensures that you remain competitive and continue to attract the best auto insurance leads.

raz dnd 20
i was asleep for like an hour so senna was jar'd lol these notes are from moss and kay
Zen took the entire damn chest of books to god (we did not get to look, Teya is sad). Senna got eeby deeby’d. Pondering if the person that returns to the vessel is the same person or if they could be replaced, Wheatley hates this idea. Spacecore is playing with the dead tree, Parsley is keeping an eye on them while Wheatley examines the walls, staring at the agriculture paintings on the wall. Spacecore asks where the stars are, Teya explains that they’re still there but it’s too bright to see them. “Why?” Well because it’s daytime. I don’t make the rules. “Why not?” Why don’t I make the rules? “Yeah.” You know, I never thought to ask. We’ll look into that. God Complex Activated. Spacecore is picking up the sticks from the tree. Teya nudges Parsley and asks jokingly if he taught Spacecore how to collect firewood. Back on the road! Teya is messaging Parsley and being a shithead in general. If there are still two dumbass fey siblings by the end of this session it’ll be a miracle. Suddenly we stop! Some structures in the distance that don’t appear on any maps.
now onto my own notes!
senna is free lol shes mostly just confused. zen points out something he doesnt know and senna says itll will either be a good thing or itll kill us. teya is invisible and going to check things out lol.
as teya gets closer it looks like a hastily made fort out of wood and stone. old rusted robots like wheatley?! shes rapidly messaging parsley as weird things scan her. parsley tells us about this.
teya gets spotted in a spotlight! 'invisible entity detected.' the robots look in her direction. their marching toward her! run teya! parsleys like shit we gotta go. teya casts fly and some bots aim spears at her but they all miss. she messages parsley to hide. into the woods we go!
we hide but teya is still being chased. zen says these bots arent really sentient. teya managed to escape nice and tries to circle back the long way. one of the bots looks around where were hiding and pings. wheatley also pings. oh no. unregistered unit detected. hes gonna try and run the stupid boy. now their chasing him. parsley lets teya know whats happening.
parsley tells zen to watch SP and goes to follow wheatley. one of the bots somehow makes wheatleys legs lock up! faceplant. wheatley uses a spell and manages to damage some of them. wheatley yells at teya and parsley to shut them off. parsley manages to turn one off but another puts a device on wheatley! will save!? he passes thank god. he uses shocking grasp on it. good job he killed it.
teya goes around and rapidly turns the rest off. wheatley scrambles back panicked, his legs still locked. senna picks up wheatley the poor guy and asks if shes ok. he tries to escape for a second then remembers its senna. hes so upset. android is staring seriously at the bots. time to contact robot god!
robotgod says zorbolt hasnt been kind to them. parsley calls zorbolt a piece of shit. now that he has a better understanding of the software he might be able to do something. yellow versus red energy! god staggers back a bit oh no. ITS GONNA TAKE ZEN! god snaps back how tf can zorbolt do this? he cant help them right now. senna says if we leave them off, we can get them back after we kill zorbolt. gods gonna leave a beacon here.
zens back his hands shaking. parsley speaks up and goes 'uh wheatleys legs arent working.' he manages to disengage wheatleys leglock code nice. he flings himself out of sennas arms rude. senna sighs and picks up another bot instead. wheatley is just cradling a bot my guy stop being dramatic. parsley pats him on the shoulder and then picks up a bot. teya and senna are having concerning messaging lol.
android approaches wheatley and tells him theyll make zorbolt pay for this. ooooooo. android and wheatley are seriously pissed nice. we carefully place them against a wall. SP pats them on the head aww. teya says we should go around the fort and avoid anymore bots. wheatley wants to take the fort goddamn. 'are we ignoring that wheatley and zen almost died? bad idea.' 'oh fuck.' parsley says lightning bolt works but wheatley is so upset. android calls parsley a dumbass lol. how to remove wheatleys override commands hmm.
senna asks zen how he knew how to fix wheatleys legs. it was god so maybe god can remove that function? itll feel unpleasent like before. parsley feels awkward so he collects firewood lol. SP goes with him aww. god finds the code and begins deleting nice. wheatley says it felt weird lol time to test! nothing happens pog! wheatley says he doesnt wanna be a liability. teya hugs him poor guy. senna rubs his back.
voting to attack the outpost or avoid it. senna messages parsley to come back so hes done collecting sticks. teya fiddles with her sending stone. parsley abstained so were assaulting the fort! wheatley says he will haul them out himself if needed. teya and parsley are spitting venom to each other now lol. offer teya as tribute xD parsley says someone can be a distraction. senna offers since she can take a hit. everyones arguing who is the bait.
android says this plan is stupid lol. now their egging him to share his plan. the tower is clearly controlling them so we gotta break it. 'anyone have a bomb?' wheatley says he might be able to make one in half an hour? senna can summon meteors she could try that. android insists on a stealth mission. senna says 2 part mission. android shuts that down goddamn. wheatley and senna yell at him cause they dont want him to get gotted. hes still in the network its too dangerous. he says theres no danger to the network but that doesnt really help us. hes taking senna wtf she is not sneaky. teya wants to lure the robots too. 2 part plan lets go this and not die!
lure team: teya
turn off team: wheatley and parsley
sneak team: android and senna
android is using our names oh no raz is gonna kill him. teya says she will dodge if the robots shoot her. that doesnt help, we gotta lure them out. as long as their focused? senna asks if she has any annoying spells to keep their attention. she has a nifty want oh no. wheatley chucks a rock at teya the fucker it smacks her face! this is a terrible plan. teya casts telepathetic bond on everyone nice. wheatley says the connection would connect if she used it on zen. parsley says to leave zen out of it lol. parsley casts bolstering magic on wheatley but its useless. senna uses enhance ability on everyone! she has dex saves and everyone else gets con and temp hp. android says the network wont interfere with teyas spell. zen is on babysitting duty lol.
gotta wait 10 minutes for teyas spell. wheatley is playing with parsley and SP. its tag! parsley fucking grabs wheatley and wheatley says it only counts if you hit the back of his head. practice pog! he smacks his head lol. the game is on!
senna goes and asks zen if hes ok. earlier was pretty dicey. shes sits by him the poor guy. he was scared oh no! another connection but wrong. twisted and horrible. threatened to invade his mind. she pats his arm and says she'll make sure android gets out of there ok. he tells her to watch herself too. 'i fear you worry about others more about yourself.' 'dont worry i wont do anything that endangers the mission.' 'im talking about you. you dont need to destroy yourself your not a martyr.' 'no. im not.' why is senna is such a sad sack of a person. they gotta look out for each other. in the background parsley and wheatley are fucking chaotic.
senna asks when android removed himself from the network. zen is nervous she noticed but she just asks if hes ok. its troubling for him, hes been connected so long its very extreme isolation. senna nods and says we can keep an eye out for him together. he wants her to keep him company, hes so alone the poor bastard. he removed himself when we went into the network last time. senna says shes gonna make a gameplan with him and goes to android.
parsley and wheatley are just smacking each other in a horrific game of tag lol. their tangled how did this happen.
senna goes up to android to try and make a game plan. "i dont suppose we have a game plan on how to sneak in?" climb the walls or rush in while the gates open and the bots are distracted. senna says she isnt very sneaky and removes her armor to not be disadvantaged. he expected that since shes a cleric from sorceror. should have an easier time with teya distracting them so uh dont fuck it up. he didnt like senna saluting him tho lol. she asks how to shut off that tower. what he remembers theres a power source somewhere so they gotta find and destroy it. its gotta be pretty powerful to survive this long, but this tower is newer.
in the background parsley got wheatley again lol. he accidentally turned him off then turns him back on fuck. wheatley slaps him again and runs off. teya completes the ritual pog! she broadcasts to everyone nice. wheatley screams hello into the connection. parsley lies and says it didnt try again. 'id tell you to get fucked but that wouldnt work.' wheatley slaps parsley again lol. parsley sits on him! we have an hour lets go!
parsley asks if wheatley has anything thats not a crossbow. a hammer! teya offers him a dagger lol. he says no it might hurt them too much. parsley hands him a handaxe and tells him to use the bluntside. we can hear each others thoughts oh boy. android tells teya to concentrate on the mission instead of being gay lol. shame. parsley is thinking never gonna give you up oh no. wheatley thinks i love you android so brightly oh boy. he didnt tell him to shut up nice lol. android is trying to make them focus so hard. senna is doing mental math on entry points, stops to think its cold, then back to math.
when they get closer teya uses fly. wheatley tells parsley they should hide in the trees and jump out when the bots go past. teya is still invisible and has to warn them. parsley says they can trip them with rope? move the bots into the bushes with each pass so they dont notice them when they get captured for new bots. get your stupid thoughts out now lol. wheatley is playing midevil baby shark oh no. parsley says he will make fun of teya if she dies, and he bolsters her magic. android tells senna for them to get ready. good luck guys.
teya has a dumb idea oh no teya we can hear you dont do that. now their arguing senna tells them to stfu. theres more bots on the wall oh no. lots of spotlights. teya is telling us this info. she lets herself get spotted 'on accident' all eyes on her. crossbows oh fuck. she manages to avoid them all thank god. reloading! she slowly retreats but they dont follow. one of them has a gun! it hits! necrotic damage good thing teya has resistance. she lands and tries to play dead. they aim the crossbows back at her to double tap. wheatley is yelling for her to run! barely dodged. continue barrage.
parsley says if he had wheatleys name he could disguise himself but wheatley hates that. android and senna try and climb the wall while their distracted. android easily gets up but senna takes a bit. wheatley thinks their gonna die. android helps her up nice. theres a LOT of bots here. 15 more inside goddamn. theres several buildings, and a living person screaming in pain. guess we found the villagers. we look for what could be powering it. teya calls wheatley and parsley to help distract and fight. its go time plan b for violence. wheatley thinks their just gonna turn them off oh no.
3 buildings, one with the screaming. 1 with bots going in and out. and 1 with bots grabbing weapons. senna lets them know. wheatley is gonna be so sad. android sees a powerbox with a wire heading behind a building. gotta find a path over. senna tells them to get really loud, make something explode if needed. teya fireballs the gate! it explodes! bots rush out and senna warns them! teya gets shot with bolts a little but dodges the bullet. wheatley shoots at the robots legs. missed entirely but 1. their rushing towards wheatley! teya asks how the leg lock worked. android tells them the code again. teya flubbed and had to try again lol.
all the bots that were rushing collapsed. wheatley rushes to turn them off and some of them grab him. wheatley gets deviced again dammit. welp. we lost wheatley. teya tells parsley to turn him off. parsley keeps trying to engage the leg locks as they try to disengage. wheatley points his gun in parsleys face. fuck.
the bots have all rushed out so android and senna climb down and head to the powerbox. wheatley will saves and manages to break free! he screams and flips switches again. parsley is a little disoriented and wheatley goes to help him. one of the bots still in the base says they need to increase signal strength. android goes stiff for a moment oh no. senna uses bless on him. android yells at her to fucking go and off she goes! she says in her head they got android.
android is fucking sniping at senna! he tells senna how to avoid his shots. teya is shouting the lock command but that doesnt matter for crossbows! teya dodges the gun again! she uses scorching ray on the gunner. android fails to resist again dammit hes getting quieter. senna manages to hold person on android and she keeps heading to the box. she smacks it with her mace but it doesnt break it. the bots are coming oh no. she uses guiding bolt and it nearly breaks it. a bot shoots her with a crossbow! it hits her in the shoulder! she guiding bolts again! one more blast is needed. she gets hit with a club! guiding bolt again!
the box explodes and the red energy goes away! the bots just collapse. wheatley rushes to the bots. senna drops the spell and rushes over to android. they shake hands nice. she yanks the bolt out and heads toward the screaming room.
wheatley is shaking the bots, their on but empty. parsley sits with him. teya is yanking out her bolts lol shes in pain.
senna and android see a horrific site. people chained to the walls. metal helmets grafted to their skulls. other grafted metal bits. someones eyes are on a table and they have optics instead. one persons body is opened and has no organs. experiments. someone is barely alive. attached to a weird tube and a jar. senna is trying to figure out how remove them without killing them. she tries to make them drink from the canteen. they are acting only on instinct.
android inspects the bodies. he sees the device on the living guy and thinks their taking their souls. looks like teya was right. he still has his soul but hes very....out of it. he needs to recover. the soul extraction is very forceful. senna scoops him up and carries him out. hope they dont make a refined method.
android asks if anyone is in critical condition. 'are you?' hes fine lol or so he says. senna goes to wheatley and asks if hes ok. teya tries feeding him a healing potion. he looks a little better. he starts crying hes free. hes hugging senna the poor guy. wheatley isnt thinking anything right now. senna messages zen that the jobs done and they have a survivor. he arrives and senna tells zen that android and wheatley got taken. android keeps insisting hes fine.
the guy sees wheatley and he freaks out. she clamps a hand over his mouth trying to calm him as he squirms. senna sighs and carries him out of sight into the woods to calm him. teya stops the mind melding darn. parsley starts gathering up the bots.
the guy stopped screaming at least. senna stays with him until he calms down. zen tries to comfort wheatley and brings him into the connection. the bots cheer him on! STAY DETERMINED! YOU ARE THE HOPE OF ROBOTS AND ORGANICS! lil bro is here! wheatley requests to stop the hive now hes upset. he needs time to think as he cradles the robot body.
parsley drinks a healing potion. wheatley apologizes for that. he asks them to kill him if hes ever gone like that. their gone. hes so upset cause turning them off didnt do anything. hes so upset. more bots like him but hes still alone. parsley is just frozen he has no idea what to do. parsley awkwardly hugs him oh boy! wheatley hugs back hes so sad.

Copa, Copacabana
Today was, sadly, our last day in Rio. We decided to end our time there with a last morning on the beach. We stayed right on the border of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, but hadn’t made it to Copacabana yet. On Sundays they shut down the road, and it turns into a pedestrian-only area with lots of vendors and small samba bands playing in the street. It was perfect weather, and we enjoyed a pina colosseum/coco loco at the very reasonable hour of 10am. Anything goes in Rio.
We passed a few people on the beach playing a sport that is apparently only played in Brazil. It can be played on a curved ping pong table or on a volleyball court, but the rules are essentially the same as volleyball, except you can’t use your hands. Only your head, feet, chest, etc.
I think I’ve shown a lot of the highlights here, but maybe not done such a great job at showing the most common parts. Most of Rio’s populations lived in favelas, which flow like twinkle lights in the hills at night. But in the day you can just see what looks like a pile of unfinished shanties falling into one another. Somewhat symbolically, it seems, there are always black vultures soaring in the skies overhead in Rio when you’re up in the hills. When you’re down in the main city, closer to the water, the birds are all graceful sea birds. All of the streets are tree-lined, providing shady walkways. The sidewalks are all paved in cobblestones with intricate designs, like Lisbon, and there are always people out and about. The demonym for somebody from Rio is “Carioca” but I’ve been told that Carioca does not apply if you are from a favela.
We headed to the airport in the afternoon. Usually we would travel early morning or at night so as not to waste time, but we wanted to get into Salvador before dark, as we had heard it was smarter from a safety perspective. Our airBNB is super cute, and the building is very modern. The 24/7 security/recprion took our picture with an iPad, and now each time we come up to a door in the building, we look at a camera with facial recognition software, and it automatically opens the doors. No keys required! We didn’t have time to do much tonight. We went to a grocery store to get some snacks and breakfast food, and then went out for a lovely dinner. There were these breaded/fried pieces of cheese similar to halloumi, and served with cashew honey - delicious. I will remember them forever.

Head of Wantastiquet/Marble Dust — Marble Dust (Wooden Finger)
Tumblr media
Head of Wantastiquet is Paul LaBrecque’s long-running synth/electronics project. If you’re familiar with LaBrecque it’s likely because he plays guitar in the hoary psychedelic collective Sunburned Hand of the Man. Here he plays some guitar, too, but the predominant flavor comes from Moog, as well as various types of synth (Blofeld, dreadbox and some software synths, according to LaBrecque). Thus while his main project drones and thunders in rock-adjacent way, this one stutters and percolates with electronic elements. You could dance to a couple of these tracks (“Dabke” “Les Nuits sur la Plage de Jabalia”), though even the hedonist intervals play to the head as well as the body.
This music is almost entirely instrumental, but LaBrecque makes it express a point of view anyway. Arab themes and sounds run through these cuts; the track titles can be linked to protest against genocide in Gaza. “La Guerre Contre Les Enfants” (“the war on children”) layers shimmering textures of synthesized sound over one another, a high, silvery keyboard motif and flute-like tones carrying a mournful melody. The percussion, when it enters, is likely electronic, but it rattles and pings and echoes like hand drums in some 21st century souk. “Thawra” (or revolution in Arabic) folds a panting breath into insistent, paranoiac rhythms; a sense of panic, of chase, of desperate courage, is built in. “Dabke” builds an exuberant, syncopated beat out of cowbells, distorted guitar and synth drums, both space-age synth-dance and traditional celebration locked in dialogue.
These Middle Eastern flavors reflect a long-standing preoccupation for LaBrecque, whose first album Trees, Chants and Hollers dedicated a song to Rachel Corrie. Dead Seas from 2010 included “Mavi Marmara,” a song about a ship carrying aid to Palestine that was attacked by the Israelis. While living in Germany, LaBrecque recorded with Ghazi Barakat, a Palestinian-German who he says, “deepened my knowledge about the history.” This album further explores the nexus of Arab sounds and Arab struggle in the context of existential crisis in Gaza.
The most direct allusion to these themes comes in “Tonight, I Will Be Ressurected with the Wind,” whose precise lattice of synth sounds gives way, about halfway through the track, to the haunting sound of female singing. That’s Omayma Jehouani, artist LaBrecque found on Instagram. There and on Youtube, she has an extensive library of vocal clips but little to no identifying information. Her voice, however, is extraordinary, with a lilt and a wobble in it that suggests both joy and sadness.
Though anchored in LaBrecque’s values and beliefs, Marble Dust is by no means polemical. These very human concerns infuse its electronic drones and rhythms with an undeniable spiritual resonance. Not all electronic music has soul, but this record does.

Gaming Software for Information Exchange
We covered the out-of-game communication techniques and meta side of gaming. The heart of gaming lies in the gaming software itself. This section discusses active participation in gaming and communication tactics for information exchange.
Multiplayer games are perhaps the most useful for voice and text chat communication between peers. These games require internet access to play on servers that are local, national, or global. These games are ideal for random pairing with stranger teammates or playing with a group of friends, using in-game tactics and lingo to exchange information and effectively communicate with a common objective in mind. If users do not wish to voice or text chat, many multiplayer games have communication interface controls in which they can “ping” or mark a spot in the environment for their teammate’s benefit, “emote” or perform fun animations with their characters, and event select from a set of phrases to communicate battle tactics such as “press the attack” or simple responses like “yes,” “no,” and “sorry.” There are also voice lines in many multiplayer games that indicate when your character’s abilities are ready for use after their cool down commences.
Multiplayer and Role-playing games which are often lore-heavy by nature and incite narrative-based questions will often include character profiles and in-game literature to grasp the world more thoroughly for full immersion.
Fighting games, shooters, and battle games will frequently have move-lists explaining how to perform certain actions for more fluid combat. Skill trees allow players to upgrade abilities to make their characters stronger by reaching levels of experience with XP. These trees include information about all upgrades and their primary uses.
Capital is an essential aspect of modern gaming. In-game purchases are displayed in online shops where you can purchase cosmetics, abilities, characters and more that are supplemented by game lore or perk information associated with the product.

GameDev Diary #04: Replicating GameBoy Palettes and more.
Remember how you played Pokemon Red and Blue in the Gameboy Color and  it switched from the default palette to a creepy one on Lavender Town? Well let’s do that.
Tumblr media
If you have been following this GameDev diary, you probably noticed how I used a totally grayscale palette for the sprites, this might have been seen as a lazy approach (an you would be right), but I decided to be smart instead of locking myself in a replica of the greens from the original gameboy.
One of the main reasons was that I wanted to convey the passing of time as you advanced in the game, so a little spoiler of the story: Tomas arrives to his home town early morning and find it completely empty, he founds the mayor in the main plaza being attacked by some pirates. After liberating him, you learn that the whole town has been kidnaped and the pirates are moving all the 42 residents to their pirate island, including your family. So you naturally go in pursue of them in 6 different scenarios. Each of them with it’s own palette that reflects both the biome and the time of the day. So how do we go from this?:
Tumblr media
To this:
Tumblr media
The answer is ColorRamps/GradientMaps: First a little bit of color theory about gameboy palettes, this guy explains Hue Shifting and Luminance both essential to make a palette makes sense and still can pop up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdXpUIATzO0
Ok, I have selected a palette, How do I implement it on my game?, well to implement it to a sprite, just follow this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7VljTl4I3w The only problem is that the tutorial implements it on a single sprite, it doesn’t do full screen shading. For that you will need to change the shader code to:
shader_type canvas_item; render_mode unshaded; uniform sampler2D gradient: hint_black; void fragment(){    // Grabs the texture from the screen behind, not from the sprite    vec4 input_color = texture(SCREEN_TEXTURE, SCREEN_UV);       float grayscale_value = dot(input_color.rgb, vec3(0.299,0.587,0.114));    vec3 sampled_color = texture(gradient, vec2(grayscale_value, 0.0)).rgb;    // I don't do mixing because i want the exact palette to be used    COLOR.rgb = sampled_color;    COLOR.a = input_color.a; }
And apply the shader to a ColorRect that is above the whole screen (if you need help ping me at twitter: @Levhita)
Tumblr media
Now I have several Gradient Maps that allows me to change palettes: Really Really Late at Night
Tumblr media
Snow mountain at Noon
Tumblr media
Afternoon at the Desert
Tumblr media
I have no idea...
Tumblr media
Classic GameBoy Look and probably in a forest.
Tumblr media
And of course, Lavender Town
Tumblr media
I found it better to edit the gradients directly on Godot as I can have realtime feedback, instead of following the Krita > Godot path as in the tutorial.
Tumblr media
Sadly I overwritten several times the shared resources so I keep my references in a resource folder and constantly copy/paste and make sure to click make unique. I also prefer to save the Material resource as .tres because it’s a plain-text format that can be easily inspected on source versioning software and easily shared... speaking of which, you can get all my gradients from here!!!, what a wonderful thing Git is. https://github.com/levhita/42monos/tree/main/World/Gradient

Goliath, part 2
[prologue] [part 1]
You're in the middle of sparring when you realize. The main plan doesn't exactly involve much actual combat, but some of the What-Ifs do. If push comes to shove, you might have to go hand to hand at some point, and you haven't done that in half a decade -- because you were glasses for most of that time, and terrified of physical violence for the rest -- so you made yourself a classic old sparring bot to get back into it. It's simple, pure metal with no discernible face and a fighting program that's supposed to learn from your moves and attempt to always get one step ahead of you. It's Brobot without the emotional baggage, essentially.
You're not far from the shore where your boat is anchored, and are rolling through the dirt with a pair of metal wrists in your hand, when you realize that you have been corrupted.
Something is wrong with your output. When you go through your logs, they tell you that you must have been talking, even though you don't remember saying anything. When you check your blog, there are several posts you don't recall putting there. You hurry to check your messages, but it doesn't seem to have gone that far -- thankfully, you haven’t told any of your friends to obey, submit, or consume lately.
Yesterday's craving for cookies makes more sense now, you think. It's also fantastically ridiculous.
It doesn't worry you much. You can get her propaganda out of your system, you've done it before. It doesn't worry you much, until you try to move away from the sparring bot, and your body does something entirely else instead.
In stunned silence, you watch your first surge forward and, with force you knew you had in you but never actually used, punch right into the metal head. You watch the material give, dent, then break, watch the edges cut into your hand, wrist, then arm. Your shark skin is so tough that in the year of you having it, nothing has actually broken through it before, but this will do it.
You have pain receptors, carefully crafted long ago, but you don’t feel anything, right now. You feel like you are glasses again, perched on somebody else’s nose, watching idly whatever the hell this guy is doing with his body. None of it seems like a very good idea, to you, but it doesn’t feel like your call to make. Your hand takes a shard of metal from the sparring bot’s face, and then your body pushes itself upright. You look down as you get a better grip on the shard, aim, and plunge it right into your own stomach.
Hm.
Well.
That doesn’t really do much of anything to you. You still don’t feel any pain, and when you pull the piece of metal back out of yourself, you can see something thick and brown ooze out of the wound.
It’s chocolate milk.
You must have hit your synthetic stomach that also doesn’t actually do much, digestion-wise. It just sort of keeps the food there for a bit until you go to the bathroom. This will be a bitch to fix, but it’s nothing you’re not prepared for.
The thought pulls you back, pulls your mind in between your shoulders, pushes your thoughts through the wires inside your arms. Yeah, right, you were prepared for this. It’s not part of Plan A. You didn’t want this to happen, but you suspected it might. Your emergency protocol in case of corruption was to put up a bunch of fake information about yourself she could find, like that your vital hardware is located in your stomach. It’s not. That would be stupid. It’s sprinkled all over your body in multiple hard to reach places, like the important piece of storage that’s lodged deep in your right thigh. She doesn’t seem to know that, which means she can’t have gotten very far yet.
You can get her back out.
Unfortunately, realizing what’s happening and pulling your consciousness back into your body has reminded you that you can, in fact, feel pain.
Crying out, you crumple to the floor, your good hand clutching your bad hand clutching your stomach. For several seconds, you don’t know where to start -- you can turn off the pain, but you should amp up your security software first, you need to get her out but you can’t do that if your mind is clouded with the pain of a stab wound to the guts and your hand falling apart but if you waste too much time getting the pain under control she might advance further into your data and you can’t have her finding out where your real vital hardware lies ---
Your scream rips through the undergrowth, loud enough to make a flock of birds flee from a nearby tree, to make you feel the vibrations of your own voice hum through the roof of your mouth. That helped. Kicking her out is a matter of a few, practiced steps. You can take care of the pain later; you’ve felt worse before.
So you stay where you are, curled up into a little ball, eyes screwed shut, teeth clenched, fingers twisting into each other, enduring. You’ve stopped crying out -- you’ve stopped making any noise at all, only focusing on your very inside, on what keeps you running, what makes you you. This by far isn’t her first attempt at corrupting you or your brothers, and over the years you’ve learned to adapt, keep updating your anti-virus, keep finding new measures that keep up with whatever she has been up to. You assume that this time she got in because you must have left some sort of trace on the drone you and Roxy sent her, which of course isn’t ideal. It means, however, that you opened the door for her, and you damn well know how to close it again.
She doesn’t put up much of a fight. You assume that she got what she came here for -- your vital organs and your immediate future plans. If you put up enough of a struggle, you figure, she will believe in that success.
The second you reach 0% corruption, you slump forward, face first into the dirt. It muffles your pained groan for the few beats you spend like this, before your feet start shifting against the ground in an attempt to somehow deal with the feeling of having a hole in your stomach. The way through your programming to turn off pain, at least, is a quick one now.
You flip the switch, and stop feeling anything. The moan you let out doesn’t vibrate through your mouth, but at least you hear it. You almost laugh at yourself. You don’t quite feel like it, though.
Walking the Earth with your touch receptors turned off is always weird, but it helps you get things done quickly. You check in on your brothers first, to make sure neither of them got caught in any sort of crossfire. They are fine, your plants are fine, your cat and your fish are fine. You want to pat yourself on the back for acting quickly enough, but once you chuck the broken sparring bot into your workroom and then sit down there to fix yourself, that sentiment leaves you pretty quickly.
You fix your stomach, then glue the cuts in your skin shut again, both your stomach and your hand. It looks like you have scars now, for the first time in your artificial life. In the back of the room, you have way more skin left over, rolled up like fabric, but you’d have to sew a whole new suit from it if you wanted to keep a body without scars. You don’t have time for that right now. You have to-- you want to act fast.
You have just about fucking had it.
Once you’re all glued up, you turn your receptors back on, then leave the workroom to say goodbye to the bots, your pets, and all of your plants. You check your sylladex to make sure that you have what you need on you -- a copy of SBURB, Dirk’s hand grenade. You step out on the deck, unnecessarily roll your shoulders, and message Roxy.
They reply immediately.
TT: She took the bait. See you in Rainbow Falls in five. TG: EFFIN finally TG: make it 3
Three it is. You nod to yourself, and open every other conversation that currently matters to you. To Alma, you say,
TT: Hey, I gotta bounce. There’s a note on the fridge about pet and plant care. TT: Thanks. TT: You know, for all of it. TT: Catch you on the flipside.
Messaging Palooka makes you a bit more nervous, but you don’t want to leave without another word.
TT: I’m off now. TT: Still reachable, but I’m on my way. TT: Just wanted to let you know. TT: I’ll stop by when I’m back.
You open your conversation with your… your ex-boyfriend, you suppose, too. You haven’t talked, since you told him what you’re doing. Something in you wants to let him know, but you don’t quite see the point in telling him that you’re actually leaving now. You wouldn’t know what to say, anyway. And if you stare at this any longer, your three minutes will be up.
sometimes to get to god, first you gotta meet the devil.
Your name used to be Dirk Strider. When you were a child, you were the loneliest person in the universe, and all you wanted to do was matter. Then one day, when you were thirteen, you woke up and were not Dirk Strider anymore. You had been demoted to a knock-off, a less important version of yourself that couldn’t physically do anything, that nobody cared about. You had to sit back and watch other people be relevant, watch other people do things and take control of their lives, while you were struggling with the mere concept of being a living person.
Jake doesn’t understand your constant urge to mean something. You didn’t expect him to; he’s been through this, he’s played his own session of the Game, he doesn’t want to hear anything about it anymore. You get it. It’s fine. He doesn’t have to understand that you need this, that you’ve been craving this since the second you were transferred into a pair of sunglasses, and that it’s the one, the final thing you have to do, to prove to yourself that you are a person.
You are real and you exist in this world, and you are going to leave a dent in it.
You sit on the roof of Roxy’s house while they set up the computers for your two-player session, and you send out pings into the universe. She will come here. You know she will. She found your fake body blueprints, and she found your fake future plans that showed you stopping her whole operation from Earth. She has enough incentive to get her shitty red spaceship back here, but no idea what actually awaits her. No idea that you and Roxy are ready to fuck this entire timeline just to get back at her.
You sit on the roof of Roxy’s house, and you wait for Her Imperial Condescension to come to you, so you can kill her. She will do what you want her to. People always do, sooner or later. You will get her where you want her, then you will induce the apocalypse, and kill the tyrant that has tormented you over the course of your entire existence.
And then, you think, with all of that out of the way, with your home timeline reduced to dust and your nemesis caught in the ensuing detonation of all you knew growing up, you will finally be ready, to go. To move on.
This is your moment in the spotlight. None of this is necessary for anyone else, except for maybe Roxy -- this planet is dead. Sitting on the roof, you overview the remnants of a society that has long since been eradicated. You are doing this for yourself. You are making yourself relevant, to only yourself.
It’s your gift, to you.
You run your fingertips over your other hand, feeling the scars in the rough skin of your forearm, and close your eyes. It feels good to be real.

LOCATION: HOTEL EMELIA
The city has been stripped of its power.
Brutally.
Savagely.
Its strength was tangible in the old stones of the Castelvecchio bridge, withstanding the ruthlessness of time and warfare. No matter who you were, Montague or Capulet, wanderer or Veronesi through and through, you were welcome to step onto the bridge and hear the lapping of the Adige against the rocks. So long as the Castelvecchio stood, all Veronans trusted that --  despite all the blood that painted the city red, the bullets that littered the streets, and the drugs that were passed around like bottles of wine -- the city would last. The traditions built upon the backs of the great families would last. The bullets and blood would rain, yes, but Verona would persevere as it had for centuries. But the faith that the people once had in their self-made deities was no longer steadfast and sure. There were fractures beginning to form, splitting apart the city and allowing the demons to birth from the chasms.
The witches sat around the table, staring at the papers that were before them.
The room was dimly lit, the city lights seeping through the windows, painting a pretty picture for them to gaze at. But they didn’t. Instead they stared at the photos of three dead men: Alvise, Orpheus, and Faron. Three more bodies that perished -- bloody and mercilessly, their lives stripped away before the witches could pass judgement as gods so often do. That honor, that right had been theirs. These were men from the upper tiers of Veronesi society, men who went untouched unless the witches saw fit to tear them from the pedestals they had placed them upon. Alvise. Orpheus. Faron. Medea plucked the picture of the wild-looking Orpheus from its place on the table and frowned before they tossed it back onto the dark wood. When the people of the city knew that their lieges could be felled as easily as trees, they would soon realize that the deities that they look up to could be as well. And the witches could not, would not, allow that to happen
The Purge was meant to be a dam against such ideas, a means of quieting such heresy. But the safety and security they had meant to institute for their people went down in white noise and black ash. Then the fallen bodies followed - one in particular that they had not expected to be felled so soon. The picture  painted before them was a red one. And they could do nothing but stare at it.
“We need to remedy this,” Circe says, breaking the silence while casting a glance at their siblings.
The other two exchanged a glance before Hecate raised a brow at Circe, lips pressing together in a rather exasperated frown. “Oh? You truly think so, Circe?”
Medea’s lip twitches in amusement, but their eyes remain blank. Instead of egging on the bickering that was likely to ensue between their siblings, they looked out towards the window. The three of them hadn’t worked hard to acquire their power. They had been smart about it, played their cards right, played the people even more cleverly. Now they sat atop thrones that they had carved out for themselves and Verona had recognized that power. Worshipped it. Declared it something sacred, something untouchable. But the world no longer seemed to respect the power of the divine. It spit in the face of it with its nuanced philosophical beliefs, its secularism, its weaponry. Medea let out a delicate sigh, eyes ghosting back towards their siblings who seemed to have averted their bickering and turned their attention to the photos again, as well as the notes strewn about the table that accompany them.
There was a knock at the door.
The three witches glanced at one another, their faces colored with expressions they thought they had long forgotten -- eyes narrowed in confusion. Lips pressed together in apprehension. Medea stood up and walked over to the door, lithe fingers clasping around the handle, pausing with one last glance at their siblings before opening it. The door swung open. The devil greeted them with a toothy grin.

LOCATION: MONTAGUE VILLA
Damiano straightened his tie in the mirror, glancing at Roman in the reflection of the mirror, once again struck by how his son looked nothing like him. He carried the visage of his mother so much more -- unmarred by the scars that the Montague boss wore. Perhaps his son would earn them as Lawrence and Marcelo have. Maybe one day his son would give him a pang of pride rather than the oft-familiar disappointment. Like the disappointment he felt when he saw his son assent to something that made him less-than. When his son failed to dictate mercy and manipulate it for his personal means, instead allowing one man’s petty vengeances dictate his own.
Well, at least the boy spilled his first blood. Indirectly.
Unfortunately, they would be attending the funeral of that man. A man who could have been so much more, if only there was an inkling in the boy’s brain for a ‘big picture’ endeavor.
Damiano turned to his son, “You should let her know. Give her some closure.”
“Which ‘her’ are we referring to? They’re both…” Roman’s words trailed off as his father looked at him, lips twitching into a frown. He wasn’t going to ask again. He knew.
The Montague boss felt his son’s attention waver. His patience grew thin and his lip curled with disdain. “Russia is an important means to an end, Roman. You’d do well to remember that.” He paused, the sneer now more apparent. “Or perhaps you’d like to witness our name fall into ruin because you’re unable to reign in this mess.”
Roman had the answer on the tip of his tongue. The words that he longed to say were scathing -- biting and harsh in their honesty. Instead he stayed silent, staring his father in the eyes, gaze flickering back and forth before slowly lowering his head to straighten the tie that began to feel more like a noose than an accessory. Perhaps Damiano would turn it into a murder accessory. Although he doubted whether or not filicide would be practiced today of all days -- a funeral to follow another funeral. It seemed that these were the main events filling his itinerary as of late.
Horns and shouts from outside drifted in, muffled and obscured, through the window panes. Just as the two Montague men heads turned to glance towards the noise, their phones went off. Harsh pings breaking the heavy silence that had settled between them. First one, then the other -- the words BLOCKED lighting up the screen. There was a link, followed by a simple message. You’re going to want to see this. Damiano frowned and picked up his phone, opening it as his son grunted and shook his head. “Father...you shouldn’t open that. It may be virus or something. Maybe hacking software.”
His warning was in vain, because his father had already clicked the link -- only to find a video. One blonde, feminine figure. Another, brown haired man whose face was pinched in concern as he sought to help them. It replayed on a loop, again and again, before the eyes of the two men who sat on a throne that was built upon a foundation of loyalty. A concept that their soldier seemed to have forgotten.
A concept that is best reinforced by breaking bones and spilling blood.
Damiano slid his phone into his pocket, lips pressed together, eyes dark and grim. “Perhaps we will be holding two funerals today, son.”
The image of a small woman with dark hair and a gun in her hands. The sound of a bullet leaving the barrel of the gun. The taste of ash and the acrid smell of numerous things burning. That was his kill to make. And no God or Devil could ever take that from him -- and woe to those who could think themselves grand enough to stand in his way.
“Maybe even three.”
DATE: DECEMBER 1ST
TIME: 00:00
The city has noticed their silence. They are an ever-moving presence, as constant as the sun rising and setting. Their silence is palpable. The streets seem quieter, sellers no longer shouting their wares with boisterous tones, children no longer shrieking and darting around on the streets.
But then the night comes. Envelopes, white and crisp, are left on their doorsteps, sealed with gold wax sealing them. There is no emblem to mark it as theirs -- that it is something sent from them. But they whole city knows, all those who paint their hands red with blood and adorn their neck with diamonds know that this is a harkening from the Witches and they have no choice but to follow the path that they are led on. Inside the envelopes they find tickets in their name, to a showing at the TEATRO NUOVO located on the western side of the Adige. A neutral territory that is open to all -- the smaller, less remarkable bridges will be in heavy use with the Castelvecchio being nothing more than a pile of stones.
The tickets have specific seatings, specific names attached to them. Only those who consider themselves the divine of Verona will be attending. As well as those who have the opportunity to become something more than themselves. Their names are there, black ink gilded at the edges. In even bolder letters is the name of the play that Fate demands they attend.
It is none other than Paradise Lost.
OVERVIEW: Welcome to the beginning of the grand finale of Act I! We’re keen on getting this show on the road and we know you all are too. A small items to note: Faron’s funeral took place November 30th, feel free to do interactions/self-paras highlighting that event. Otherwise, please date all your threads between the dates of December 1st through December 21st. The play invites and event is dated for December 22nd, so please don’t write any threads that are on/past that date. There are small sub-plot drops that will be periodically released throughout the month and we are very excited to release them all. As always, feel free to wrap up your threads from the last canon plot drop -- but we highly recommend focusing on the current event! There will be missions assigned soon that will tie in with this current plot-drop (you can’t expect that we would let Lawrence and Faron be done with that easily, do you? And Capulet/Montague fraternization going unpunished?) , so keep an eye out for them. If you have any questions, always, always feel free to ask them!
