So today is free day in cbs ghosts appreciation week, and I thought, what could be freeer than Trevor’s genitals… I have a lot of feelings about him and Pinkus, and I wonder what Pinkus must have thought when he went missing, so I wrote this:
He’d never forget what Trevor did for him.
The next Monday, after the hazing, he’d come into work, with the pants Trevor had leant him, freshly laundered, ready to buy him a thousand coffees.
Only to find his seat empty. He’d asked the other guys, assuming Trevor was just hungover, but they said they didn’t know, and they hadn’t seen him since the party. Except, some of the guys looked all twitchy.
He assumed it was nothing until Trevor wasn’t in the next day. Or the day after that.
And then two cops showed up at his apartment. Trevor had been declared missing after his family hadn’t heard from him for 72 hours.
He told the cops about the party, but said nothing about the drug use or the hazing. When asked if he saw him leave, Pinkus hesitated before shrugging. He didn’t want to explain why he’d left so early.
After a while, they left, figuring Pinkus didn’t know anything.
Over the next few months, he was called up a few more times, but it was clear to them he was just repeating himself each time, and eventually they stopped interviewing him.
Everyone had lawyered up when the cops started poking around their firm, and Pinkus did the same. A few days after everything had started, they’d cornered him just to remind him not to mention his leaving the party early.
He wasn’t stupid. He could tell those guys knew more than they were letting on, but these guys were his family. And Trevor was too. So many details just weren’t adding up.
And then the case went cold, and Trevor was presumed dead.
Eventually Pinkus switched jobs, and his girlfriend tentatively suggested he try therapy. It had helped a lot in realising how toxic the firm had been, and how badly he had been treated. He mentioned Trevor a few times and finally began to let himself grieve.
It had been ten years since he'd gone missing, but Pinkus still had Trevor’s pants in a bag in the back of the wardrobe. They were too nice to throw away, but Pinkus knew he’d never wear them again.
Lennox!!! How was your time at the Movie Theater with Barry? Heard something happened after it but no one else will answer me, hope you and Barry are okay!!
In early 2019, Yuzuhara discovered an almost entirely new class of glitches - ancilla glitches. The word ancilla is used for the stuff that Link creates - bombs, dash dust, splashing water, etc. Yuzu posted his discoveries with titles like keepExplosion, hoppingBomb, getintoEG, manipulateBombCoordinates, manipulateBoomerang, doubleSomariaBlock, and weirdSwordbeam. Below are examples dated Feb 9-10, 2019.
Yuzuhara explained that each glitch can be done once after reviving with a fairy or deathhole. But what is the connection between a fairy revive and ancilla? It took the A Link to the Past community a few months to take a closer look.
Pinkus started researching them and shared his findings on Jun 19, 2019. The "magic variable" is 03C4, known as the search index. A fairy revive sets this variable to 6, which allows ancillae normally constrained to slots 0-1 or 0-4 to be placed into slot 5. A bomb, for example, can be manipulated or duplicated if placed in this slot.
Yuzuhara's keepExplosion (a.k.a. Murderbomb, demonstrated above) involves misslotting a bomb and then extending its timer by using a sword beam, sword spin, or hookshot 5 slots under the bomb.
Later that day, Yuzuhara found that using the lamp 3 times can set 03C4 to very high values including 0x10, extending available slots to the point of going out of bounds. Pinkus saw that this could be used in combination with certain values of a nearby array to set up a condition in which the game could write to the wrong places. As a result, he was able to write "bomb stuff" all over the wrong memory.
The possibilities would be explored later, but there was something else found earlier that captured the community's attention:

Brauerei Pinkus Müller Hefe Weizen (Picked up at Ekoplaza Foodmarqt in Amsterdam). A 3 of 4. A standard hefeweizen that has the qualities in the nose you’d expect -- some faint wheat sourness and some faint lemon and spice. The body is nicely balanced and has a strong wheat presence, and a decent bit of carbonation. What you’d expect for the style.
