Joyce: “While they’re registered to me, Garroway and Amari are more tamed rather than domesticated. They’re still wild pokemon who have their moments of what one would consider ‘feral behavior’. It was actually only a bit before Zeus and Nemo arrived did they finally allow me near the chicks. It probably doesn’t help that Briar and Piper are their first set of chicks, so they’re still new parents. I don’t blame them for being protective though, I was rather proud actually! I was worried that having to raise Garroway myself would’ve cause him some struggles later in life, but he was more than capable providing for Amari and his chicks!”

They’ll have more interactions on the blog but!!! Silly lil doodles involving the chicks!!! Piper prefers hanging around Zeus cuz lil nest that’s good for naps but also warm and quiet? Perfect. Garroway doesn’t get why this makes Zeus cry tho lol Briar vibes well with Mosy, them having a lot of energy makes them a perfect babysitter for the more hyper of the chicks.

Since y’all liked Garroway and Amari so much, I’ll let y’all see their chicks and have some silly little Lati headcanons.

Lati chicks are typically born as twins. More aren’t uncommon, singles are rare

Chicks have very fluffy, light feathers to help blend in with clouds until their light-reflecting adult plumage comes in

Typical eye colors are red, blue, and purple. Not uncommon to see others but these are most common

If unfamiliar with Latis it can be VERY difficult to sex a chick especially since parents are protective until chicks are juvenile

Chicks tend to stick around their parents even when they’re old enough to fend for themselves

For Latis family is a big deal. Family members will travel great distances to meet with each other annually, usually at places that mean something special to the family

They’re very loyal and full of personality. Raising one gets you a life long friend but they need a high level of care and stimulation to ensure proper growth

They do best in environments that allow ample opportunity for soaring and access to water where they can swim and dive fish

Due to their Psychic typing it’s very easy for a Lati to tell if someone is a threat, often times before one even realizes they’re being observed by a Lati. This typing also allows for Psychic channels between members of a Lati’s flock, further strengthening their bonds

Despite appearing very avian-like Latis are still powerful members of the Dragon type group. Only seasoned trainers should ever consider owning one if given the opportunity. A Lati in the wrong hands could have devastating effects on all parties

Do all latis look pinkish-purple as babies regardless of their sex or just baby Latias? Also is Piper’s name pronounced Pipe-er, Pip-er, or Peep-er?

All Lati chicks have that color plumage! I mention it here that it’s to help them blend in with clouds until their light reflecting feathers come in!

It’s pronounced like “Pipe-er” but you bet your ass I’m now adopting “Peep-er” as a silly nickname. Sorry I don’t make the rules here
