Omg hi 🍄 anon!! ♡ Thank you so so much for your very inspirational Yone musings, I hope that me spacing out on the wordlbuilding a bit will not influence the pure fangirling that is going on in our heads!
In this universe Yone strikes me as someone who actually knows a lot about technology and i'm sorry... he produces music for rythm games. And yes he does those extremely complicated and highly detailed songs that are like the hardest charts in the game.
Tumblr media
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Yone's career as a producer and DJ has not been the easiest one, the genres that fascinated him the most were usually not appreciated by a wider audience. The busy notes of electronic samples overlapping one another weren't designed to appaise the need for easy listening music in convenience stores or to climb the charts by becoming viral on social media, in fact the most recognition Yone's music had gotten before heartsteel was in the small niche of rythm game players.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- It was never the big game developers that contacted him, they had collaborations with world renouned producers and famous idols that voiced their characters. On the other hand smaller studios would often ask him to make one or two tracks for their games, which Yone would gladly accept to do. Despite the limited reach the producer was still proud of his work, always buying a copy of the games where his music appeared and keeping in touch with the communities that formed around them with a discord account that would't reveal who he really was.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You were just a casual player of one of those games, sometimes coming into its dedicated discord servers to chat with like minded people. When people asked you about your favorite songs in the game you would most likely reply with one of the songs Yone produced, often going into detail about what made them resonate with you so much and what made them so unique in your opinion.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Under the guise of anonymity Yone would sometimes join the conversation, asking questions and indirectly getting some feedback from you, even finding it helpful with his writer's block sometimes. It was enough for the man to send you a DM to discuss more of your shared music tastes, hoping you'd reply.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Your discussions quickly settled into a developing friendship, you knew the man had an extensive knowledge in music theory as he would sometimes ramble about it with you and he also told you that because of a new job offer he would become more and more busy as time went on. You'd still keep recommending songs to each other but the conversations would be less and less, you missed your friend but you knew that his work was more important than chatting about music.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- That was until Heartsteel's debut was announced with a small teaser, showing all the members and a small snippet of their new single. You immediately recognized the familiar electronic sound of the songs that made you and Yone bond in the first place, the nostalgic feeling making you smile. You decided to send a link of the teaser to him, asking for thoughts and sharing the hype about the new band.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Yone had never felt so guilty yet glad that he never revealed that he had produced those rythm game songs to you. You were so familiar with his style that you spotted it immediately, you could've uncovered that he was actually part of the band! He tried to stop himself from asking more of what you thought of the members, thought of him, but quickly surrendered to the fact that hearing you gush about how much you liked his music gave him even more reasons to keep going.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- When he asked who your favorite member was he almost spit water on his midi keyboard, causing Aphelios to turn around to see if he was alright. Yone composed himelf quickly, yet the message you wrote kept resonating in his mind. "Oh I'm totally in love with Yone, looking at him and his interactions on twitter he sounds like a bit of a band mom and I find it really endearing! He looks like a really calm person who surrounds himself with a ton of unhinged friends! Too bad he hasn't revealed his voice yet! "
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Of course all of this didn't go past Aphelios, Kayn, Sett, K'Sante and even Alune. They realized he was spending more time than normal on his phone, reading your thoughts on the new promotional materials that were being posted. Kayn was the one who confronted him first and could not stop laughing when he realized Yone had started to develop some feelings for you, scrolling trough the messages the younger man could also see that you were starting to feel the same way for him.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- As much as the Kayn was amused at the absurdity of Yone falling for his online friend turned fangirl, he alsoknew he had to help his fellow bandmate, barging into the common room to tell everyone what was going on and fill Ezreal in as he was oblivous to the whole ordeal. It took all of them a good half hour to concoct a plan to make a meeting between you and Yone happen, then another half hour was needed to convince the producer that this was indeed a good idea and that you would not take it as badly as he imagined.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- When Yone said he wanted to voice chat with you out of the blue you were a bit confused but excited. You were happy to hear his voice after one year of being friends and made sure to reserve a few hours just for him, as you went about your day your mind started to wander a bit about what it would sound like and if your conversations would flow just as smoothly as they did via text.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You were starting to feel a bit nervous when you picked up the call, timidly muttering a "hello?" and waiting for any sort of reply. "Oh Hello, it's nice to finally be able to associate a voice to the person." You could not help but squeal a little on the inside, who would have known that his voice sounded so rich and felt so mature? The two of you talked for a while about how long overdue your call was and how time had flown since you first met, it truly didn't feel like your first conversation at all.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You finally gave into the curiosity and asked him if there was any particular reason for Yone to have wanted to voice chat now and his reply almost left you speechless. "So... I'm know that you're very excited about the debut of Heartsteel, one of my coworkers managed to get two VIP tickets and backstage access. The thing is that the person they bought the other ticket for cancelled last minute and they gave it to me." A carefully crafted lie exited Yone's lips, all to give you an excuse to go meet him.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You couldn't help but feel a slight pang of jealousy for how lucky your friend was but you wanted to be supportive and expressed your joy for him and how excited he must have been. "Wait, you've got it all wrong. I wasn't planning on keeping the ticket." You froze for a second, all sorts of possibilities racing trough your mind. Then you heard it the notification of a discord message from Yone, he had just sent you the ticket. "Wait... so you want me to go?" You heard him chuckle as you were slowly realizing what this would imply, your heart couldn't race more than this. "You deserve to go and see them, you've kept an eye on them for a long time now. I don't want to impose it onto you so think about it for a while and let me know, will you?" Useless to say that you spent a very long amount of time asking him if he was sure about it and then thanking him profusely, this truly was one of your dreams come true.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- During the day of the debut concert the Heartsteel's members grand plan was put into motion: security was well aware that as soon as your ticket number was checked in they would have been able to identify you. Security notified their manager Alune and gave her a detailed description of your looks, she too felt happy about what was going on in Yone's life and told him and the other boys to concentrate on the performance while she took care of things in the background and made sure to give you and the producer ample time to talk.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You had the time of your life at the concert, seeing how much energy and stage presence Heartsteel had in real life made their music video pale in comparison. The stage felt electric and once it was over you couldn't help but feel dizzy and overloaded but also oh so happy, seeing Yone and Aphelios playing alongside the other members was the highlight of the concert for you.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- So many things were going to your mind when you were queued up for the small meet and greet that was beeing held backstage, you were one of the last people and when it was your turn you couldn't help but feel like Sett, Kayn and Ezreal were all treating you like they somehow knew you already... and they were all hiding something. You felt their gazes following you as you finally approached Yone and even he looked like something was amiss.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You tried to ignore the feeling, you were about to meet the artist that managed to capture your attention so easily and always kept you wanting for more. You would not let this special occasion be ruined by your gut feeling! You took a few steps and prepared to greet him, hopefully having enough time to tell him how good his performance was and how much you enjoyed rooting for his success. Before you could even say a word he anticipated you and for a second you thought you had misheard everything he said.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- "Wait... how do you know my discord username?" You heard a few of Heartsteel's members chuckle, you did not realize how quiet the room had become as you were the last of their fans there, the laughter was interrupted by Yone speaking again. "Cut her some slack everyone, it's normal for her to be confused right now." Yone could see your eyes widen in realization you recognized his voice, he was your online friend! The one who would always listen to your rambles about the latest chart topping songs and give you his insight on what would make them so popular, the man who somehow knew your taste better than you at this point and was able to always give you spot on recommendations... ·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- The grounding touch of his hand on your shoulder snapped you back into reality, you blinked at him in disbelief and confusion... and then realized about how much you fangirled about him while being unaware of who you were talking to. "There must be many questions running trough your head right now and I don't blame you if you're angry at me for never revealing who I really was. If I hadn't been under such a strict NDA at the time maybe things could have been different..." ·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You gave the man a reassuring smile, you understood why he did what he did and suddenly him asking you what you thought of all the new trailers and promotional materials made sense. You were kind of honored to have been able to give feedback -although unknowingly- to a talented artist such as him. "Maybe I could clear some things up for you over dinner... I was too nervous to eat anything before the concert." You gave him a quick nod and he motioned you to follow him, you saw him gather his laptop and headphones and haistly put them in a sleek looking backpack and then taking out the keys to his car. The rest of your time spent backstage was a blur, his hand around your back was swiftly guiding you through the various areas and muttering to security guards that you were with him if they happened to enquire about you. Once in his car he could finally drop the persona and relax a bit more, the Yone you had met online was starting to show himself more and more. "Do you have any particular preferences for food?" He asked while making his way through the still packed streets of the city. "Mmh... I think I'll leave the choice to you, after all you just performend in front of thousands of people on an empty stomach." You replied, smiling at how kind he was being to you even though he must have been starving for hours. "Fine, I saw a ramen small ramen place on my way here before the concert. It will give us enough privacy for me to finally make things up to you."

okay i need to know your thesis
Ok well I had a whole thing written out and then it didn't save to drafts - so here's my ramble 2.0. It took me like a month to get back to you, but this has turned out to be many paragraphs. So enjoy!
I'm an anthropology major, and my focus has been on linguistic and cultural anthropology (as opposed to like, biological or medical or archeological). Something that I find really neat in this area is the way that people online use tools like punctuation, spacing, grammar, capitalization, even images to substitute for the communication lost with the lack of in-person tools like gestures, body language, rhythm or speed, facial expressions, and tone. Obviously this is a phenomenon that has always existed in writing - that's why punctuation exists - but there's something fascinating to me about the way that standards for how to read these unique forms of expression are created, especially when comparing social media platforms, because the functions and limitations of each one lead to slightly different "cultures" of communication.
So for my thesis I decided to look more into this - there is a lot of research about the internet and social media, but at least I haven't seen any that does it through the lens of internet behavior and expression as like a form of linguistic translation. On a bigger picture scale, I'm interested in looking at social media and internet communities through the lens of in-person ones. How are more traditional methods of studying and analyzing groups and group behavior successful or unsuccessful on accurately portraying our social behavior on the internet? I also decided to use Tumblr, because I know how to navigate it best and it's more archival nature lends itself better to the collection of internet posts as data points for someone who has no experience in collecting that sort of thing lol. I got lucky too, they updated their search function just as I was starting to more formally put what I wanted to do together!
I am now putting a read more for politeness - a Tumblr social etiquette behavior!!!
I'm still in the "putting together the proposal" stage, so right now my research questions are as follows:
How is culture/are cultural norms developed in online contexts?
How do Tumblr users utilize the platform’s features to perpetuate a set of norms and behaviors?
How do Tumblr users employ platform-specific entextualization to signal their belonging to the culture of the platform?
How do Tumblr users apply metaphors of territory to their relationship to the platform?
How do Tumblr users relate their sense of belonging to their online communities to forms of belonging and space that they experience outside of the digital world?
My plan is to look at a couple different things. First, just general popular posts, as examples of what is self-referenced on the platform and how perpetuating the history of the site contributes to its culture and is itself a cultural behavior. Second, posts that talk about Tumblr or Tumblr culture themselves - so not only, what is user behavior like, but what do users think user behavior is like? What is classified as good or bad user behavior? And to find a good sample of all of these, my plan right now is to look at posts from what I'm calling "site-wide events"; so, Goncharov, the Porn Ban, the big Twitter Migration when Elon Musk bought the platform (perhaps in comparison to how we reacted to Reddit Refugees). And then I've been tagging posts as "thesis relevant" just in case I want to use them.
Things I've also started looking at are like, the way users sometimes "play" at doing Tumblr (like during Goncharov) and what that says about their conceptions of Standard Tumblr Behavior, or they way we (and also internet users in general in my experience) use "territorial" language to think about platforms ("Refugees", "migration", etc).
"Rent-lowering gunshots" is actually a pretty good springboard to talk about all of this. First of all, the actual language of it is referring to the platform as a dwelling, or in context of the original I think Tweet, a neighborhood. Also brings with it comparisons of like, the fear of the platform being corporatized (like, become unmarketable) and the process of gentrification. Second, it's a reference to a popular post that has transformed to refer to a specific behavior or phenomenon, which is a very social media form of entextualization, and especially a very Tumblr form of it. Third, the behavior itself falls into the category of what I would call "playing" at doing Tumblr - people reveal what their conception of standard Tumblr behavior is by making posts that use those behaviors and forms of expression and references to the maximum extent, AND, specifically as a way of signaling belonging to this specific platform and not another one (ie Twitter), and reinforcing in-group/out-group behavior and conceptions (not in like a horrible way, just in a human behavior way lol) - if you can't handle this behavior then you don't belong in this space and with this culture.
So yeah anyway next steps are over the summer I want to organize the posts I've tagged into a spreadsheet, actually read and take notes on a bunch of relevant papers I have pulled up (did you know there's a whole book about Tumblr research???), and decide on a minimum number of notes I want a post to have in order to consider it a data point, so I actually have some parameters lol.
If you've read all this, thanks! Also thanks for asking me, this has been good practice at actually communicating and putting together all my thoughts about this before I submit my proposal to a bunch of adulty adults ^-^
PS ok I got so scared my computer died just as I finished this but it's all still here yay!! Thanks for giving me the chance to ramble, ask again if you have any follow-up questions!!

Mini Lore Nugget #8:
Mini Lore Nuggets - Masterlist
In the Fever Part.2 Diary Entries, we learned that Z-World's government really started shooting up on the waking-nightmare-scale after they began running AI simulations to come up with the "best" policies to implement for maximum control and efficiency.
What resulted from these simulations was that the AI determined all crimes and terrorism were strictly the result of human emotions. Therefore, the best way to rid the world of such suffering must be to eradicate emotions and all which might evoke it.
Z's government developed technology to essentially numb the population - the chips we later learned about in the World Ep.1 Diary Entries. In the Fever Part.3 Diary Entries, we then got some additional info on the AI software used by the government: it was an AI system which utilized deep learning technology and ran uncontrolled for a while as the government awaited its results.
During this time, the system began treating human emotion as a bug - perhaps because it couldn't understand it - and it also started estimating humans' individual energy, thereby reducing it to a product. And since it found it to be a product, it also began treating it as a tradeable commodity.
Instead of questioning these results, the government was more likely delighted, because they immediately took over this new energy trading platform, banned all arts and emotions, and wilfully stripped the population of its humanity by treating them as nothing more than components needed to maintain the governments' idea of a utopia.
youtube
Out here in the real world, we've also begun to see the crazy amount of negative consequences since AI technology has become widely implemented in pretty much all areas of life:
#1 - Use of AI in Healthcare
In the US, the healthcare system has been relying on AI powered algorithms to guide health care decisions, but due to the data sampled by the AI, extreme racial bias has crept in and is actively putting black lives at risk. To quote Science Journal:
At a given risk score, Black patients are considerably sicker than White patients, as evidenced by signs of uncontrolled illnesses. Remedying this disparity would increase the percentage of Black patients receiving additional help from 17.7 to 46.5%.
Furthermore, the data sourced by AI for global use (such as in risk-prediction) is often extremely biased in other ways as well: radiology manuscripts are over represented, the majority of documents sourced are authored by men, and data-poor regions are grossly underrepresented, meaning the majority of information sourced comes from the US and China. [Source]
#2 - YouTube's Algorithm Is Messed Up
According to the Tech Transparency Project which has gathered data from another study:
YouTube recommended hundreds of videos about guns and gun violence to accounts for boys interested in video games. Some of the recommended videos gave instructions on how to convert guns into automatic weapons or depicted school shootings. Many of the videos violated YouTube’s own policies on firearms, violence, and child safety, and YouTube took no apparent steps to age-restrict them. YouTube also recommended a movie about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer to minor accounts.
Further watching on dumb stuff YouTube AI features have done to fuck people over:

#3 - Ethics Has Left the Chat
#4 - The Physical Cost of Generative AI
Where Meta has recently constructed a 2 million square foot data facility in Georgia, a nearby living couple have documented the devastating consequences to the environment and their lives.
Facilities like these are used to power stuff like Chat GPT, Gemini, etc.:
Tumblr media
In order for them to function as needed, they put a huge toll on the power grid and require the construction of an entirely new infrastructure atop the usual servers, storage systems and networking equipment.
For one, AI data centres require high-performance graphics processing units (GPUs) which come with their own required infrastructure needs (advanced storage, networking, energy and cooling capabilities). The sheer number of GPUs necessary for AI use alone then already add a ton more square footage to the size of the data centre.
On top of that, living in a county with a data centre like this in the US drives up the cost of electricity for everyone in the county.
Tumblr media
And what does all this mean for the environment? Deforestation. Light pollution. Air pollution. Here is a still frame from a video shot by a woman living over 366 meters away from an AI centre's construction site:
Tumblr media
All this pollution then started seeping into the ground water, resulting in this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And what does that mean for someone living nearby? Dishwashers breaking. Washing machines breaking. Water pressure dropping to the point where you can't even flush a toilet anymore because all the pipes are clogged with sediment.
On a global scale, it should also be noted that:
According to the Washington Post in collaboration with the University of California, Riverside, writing a single 100-word email in Open AI's ChatGPT is the equivalent of consuming just over one bottle of water.
Shaolei Ren, an associate professor of engineering at UC Riverside, says that while "We haven’t come to the point yet where AI has tangibly taken away our most essential natural water resources," the use of AI in places with frequent droughts has caused rising tension between communities who need the water and data centers. Not to mention, hardware production pollutes water, per a study initially published in January 2015 in the Journal of Cleaner Production, due to the extraction of precious minerals like boron, silicon, and phosphorous.
[Source]
UPDATE:
A new video has been released which takes a look at Memphis where Elon Musk had the data center built that allows for Twitter's Chat-Bot Gronk to exist, and here is what was discovered:
No regulatory body has been informed of what is operating within that facility.
Large turbines are causing noise pollution (far more turbines than is reasonable).
The building emits a disturbing smell.
Aerial and thermal footage obtained of the site has revealed that:
Tumblr media
The air quality in the entire area has been severely degraded to the point of causing health issues for people living in the area:

Continuing, Alexis shared her grandfather's story of how he developed Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) despite being a non-smoker-
Tumblr media
- and continuous by saying her, her mother, and grandmother all three also developed respiratory illnesses (asthma and bronchitis in Alexis's case and just bronchitis in her mother and grandmother's case):
Tumblr media
Another local is dealing with much the same issue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you're still not convinced of how truly horrific the situation is:
Tumblr media
And if you're now wondering how all this could happen, I've got one word for you: DOGE. Together with the Trump administration, funds for the EPA have been slashed to the point where they're basically non-functional:
Tumblr media
Presently, should everything continue on this set path, then...

#5 - Use of AI in Warfare
Israel has been using untested and undisclosed AI-powered databases in order to identify targets and plan bombing campaigns throughout Gaza, which has reportedly led to the loss of thousands of civilian lives.
And who provided this technology? Google. For fear of losing business to Amazon. And not just them. Microsoft too has been collaborating with the Israeli military, as has Amazon who collaborated with Google in 2021 to establish "Project Nimbus" which continues on to this day with zero transparency or accountability.
Sources: x | x
Beyond that, even after the bombs were dropped, drones would come in to specifically target surviving children and it is known that Israel utilized AI-powered drones for carrying out precise assassinations and various combat missions.
The video below is timestamped to when this surgeon retells the horrors of what happened to the children while he was working in the Gaza strip:
youtube
Outside of Israel, Ukraine has also been using AI-technology in its warfare:
Further reading on the topic:
#6 - AI-Generated Art
With AI-generated art flooding social media and streaming platforms on the daily, it's getting harder and harder for new artists to enter the scene. On top of that, all the recommendations you're getting online - be that on an image search, streaming platform or elsewhere - are also all the result of AI-powered algorithms.
And as we all know, generative AI is trained on data banks filled to the brim with stolen art from non-consenting artists across the globe - be that musicians, painters, photographers, voice actors, chefs, or writers.
All of this ultimately shapes the world we live in. Those in the know are now full of mistrust of corporations, new information, articles, and media. Anything and anyone is being accused of using AI when they post something online by skeptics, and those who don't know any better are living in blissful ignorance while they're being spoon-fed misinformation left, right, and center.
Further watching on generative AI as a whole:

Final Note:
Not all AI is bad, of course. There have been major breakthroughs in all fields of science thanks to AI which will bring about positive change for (hopefully) all of humanity.
But the problem is that the technology is developing far too quickly for lawmakers to keep up with (as planned, most likely, by all the billionaire tech bros on this planet) and generative AI in particular should have never been made publicly accessible. It should have remained in the hands of trained professionals who know how to use it responsibly.

PR Agency Review: Are You Keeping Up with Industry Trends?
Tumblr media
Your business depends on clear communication. A strong public relations strategy builds trust and shapes perception. But is your agency delivering? A recent pr agency review reveals shifts in the industry. Some agencies lead, while others lag. This article explores current PR trends, spotlighting whether your agency matches the pace. Key players like BCW PR Agency and Edelman PR offer insights into what works.
Why a PR Agency Review Matters
A pr agency review helps you assess your agency’s performance. The PR industry moves fast. Clients demand measurable results, not just press releases. Agencies must adapt to new tools, platforms, and expectations. If your agency sticks to outdated methods, you risk falling behind.
Here’s why you should care:
Data-driven campaigns: Clients want proof of impact. Agencies must use analytics to show ROI.
Digital integration: Social media and online platforms dominate. Your agency needs expertise in these spaces.
Crisis readiness: Fast response times during crises protect your brand. Is your agency prepared?
Stakeholder engagement: Building relationships with diverse audiences matters more than ever.
A thorough pr agency review ensures your agency aligns with these priorities. Let’s dive into the trends shaping the industry.
Trend 1: Data-Driven PR Strategies
Numbers tell a story. Clients now expect agencies to back claims with data. BCW PR Agency excels here, using advanced analytics to track campaign performance. Their approach ties PR efforts to business outcomes, like increased sales or web traffic. You should ask your agency for similar metrics. Do they provide clear reports? Can they show how their work drives results?
For example, a tech firm hired BCW PR Agency to boost brand awareness. The agency used data to target specific demographics, resulting in a 20% increase in media mentions within three months. Your agency should offer this level of precision. If they don’t, it’s time to question their methods.
Trend 2: Digital and Social Media Mastery
Online platforms shape public opinion. A strong digital presence is non-negotiable. Edelman PR stands out by blending traditional PR with social media strategies. They create campaigns that resonate across platforms like X, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Their work for a consumer brand last year generated 50,000 social shares in a single campaign.
Your agency must prioritize digital channels. Ask yourself: Do they understand your audience’s online habits? Do they create content that sparks engagement? If your agency ignores social media or treats it as an afterthought, they’re missing the mark. A pr agency review should confirm their digital expertise.
Tumblr media
Trend 3: Crisis Communication in Real Time
Crises strike without warning. Your agency must act fast to protect your reputation. Top agencies prepare crisis plans in advance, ensuring quick, coordinated responses. Edelman PR helped a retail client navigate a product recall last year. Their team issued statements within hours, limiting negative coverage.
Does your agency have a crisis playbook? Test their readiness. Ask for a sample plan or review their past work. A pr agency review should reveal whether they can handle high-pressure situations. If they can’t, your brand could suffer.
Trend 4: Engaging Diverse Stakeholders
Your audience isn’t one-dimensional. Employees, customers, investors, and communities all matter. Agencies must craft messages that resonate with each group. BCW PR Agency shines in stakeholder engagement, creating tailored campaigns for different audiences. For a healthcare client, they developed employee-focused content that boosted morale during a merger.
Check if your agency segments audiences effectively. Do they understand the needs of your stakeholders? A pr agency review should confirm their ability to connect with varied groups. Weakness here means missed opportunities.
How to Conduct Your PR Agency Review
You don’t need a consultant to evaluate your agency. A focused pr agency review starts with clear steps. Here’s how to do it:
Set benchmarks: Define what success looks like. Is it media coverage, social engagement, or crisis recovery?
Request data: Ask for reports showing campaign results. Look for hard numbers, not vague claims.
Assess digital skills: Review their social media and online work. Do they drive measurable engagement?
Test crisis plans: Ask for their crisis response strategy. Ensure it’s proactive and detailed.
Check client feedback: Look at reviews or ask for references. Past performance predicts future results.
Compare your findings to industry leaders like BCW PR Agency and Edelman PR. These agencies set the standard. If your agency falls short, consider switching.
Tumblr media
What Sets Top Agencies Apart
Not all agencies are equal. Leaders like Edelman PR and BCW PR Agency share key traits. They invest in technology, hiring experts in data and digital tools. They train staff to handle crises and engage stakeholders. Most importantly, they listen to clients, tailoring strategies to specific needs.
For instance, Edelman PR worked with a nonprofit to boost donations. They used targeted social ads and influencer partnerships, raising funds by 15% in six months. BCW PR Agency helped a financial firm rebuild trust after a scandal. Their transparent communication strategy restored investor confidence. Your agency should show a similar initiative. Do they bring fresh ideas? Do they adapt to your goals? A pr agency review uncovers these strengths or weaknesses.
Questions to Ask Your Agency
A pr agency review isn’t just about critique. It’s a chance to spark improvement. Ask your agency these questions:
How do you measure campaign success?
What digital tools do you use to engage audiences?
Can you share a recent crisis plan you executed?
How do you tailor messages for different stakeholders?
Their answers reveal their capabilities. Vague responses signal trouble. Clear, evidence-based answers show they’re keeping up.
The Cost of Falling Behind
An underperforming agency hurts your business. Poor campaigns waste money. Weak crisis responses damage trust. Outdated strategies miss audiences. A PR agency review protects you from these risks. It ensures your agency delivers value. Look at BCW PR Agency and Edelman PR. They evolve with the industry, delivering results that justify their fees. Your agency must do the same. If they don’t, you’re paying for mediocrity.
Moving Forward with Confidence
A PR agency review empowers you. It clarifies whether your agency meets your needs. Use the insights from this article to guide your evaluation. Focus on data, digital skills, crisis readiness, and stakeholder engagement. Compare your agency to top performers like Edelman PR and BCW PR Agency.
The PR industry won’t slow down. Your agency must keep pace. By conducting a pr agency review, you take control of your brand’s future. What will you do if your agency isn’t measuring up?

Abstract
Objective: To assess the association between transgender or gender-questioning identity and screen use (recreational screen time and problematic screen use) in a demographically diverse national sample of early adolescents in the U.S.
Methods: We analyzed cross-sectional data from Year 3 of the Adolescent Brain Cognitive DevelopmentSM Study (ABCD Study®, N = 9859, 2019-2021, mostly 12-13-years-old). Multiple linear regression analyses estimated the associations between transgender or questioning gender identity and screen time, as well as problematic use of video games, social media, and mobile phones, adjusting for confounders.
Results: In a sample of 9859 adolescents (48.8% female, 47.6% racial/ethnic minority, 1.0% transgender, 1.1% gender-questioning), transgender adolescents reported 4.51 (95% CI 1.17-7.85) more hours of total daily recreational screen time including more time on television/movies, video games, texting, social media, and the internet, compared to cisgender adolescents. Gender-questioning adolescents reported 3.41 (95% CI 1.16-5.67) more hours of total daily recreational screen time compared to cisgender adolescents. Transgender identification and questioning one's gender identity was associated with higher problematic social media, video game, and mobile phone use, compared to cisgender identification.
Conclusions: Transgender and gender-questioning adolescents spend a disproportionate amount of time engaging in screen-based activities and have more problematic use across social media, video game, and mobile phone platforms.
Introduction
Screen-based digital media is integral to the daily lives of adolescents in multifaceted ways [1] but problematic screen use (characterized by inability to control usage and detrimental consequences from excessive use including preoccupation, tolerance, relapse, withdrawal, and conflict) [2], [3], has been linked with harmful mental and physical health outcomes, such as depression, poor sleep, and cardiometabolic disease [4], [5]. Transgender and gender-questioning adolescents (i.e., adolescents who are questioning their gender identity) experience a higher prevalence of bullying (adjusted prevalence ratio [aPR] 1.88 and 1.62), suicide attempts (aPR 2.65 and 2.26), and binge drinking (aPR 1.80 and 1.50), respectively, compared to their cisgender peers [6], [7], [8], [9], [10]. Transgender and gender-questioning adolescents may engage in screen-based activities that are problematic and associated with negative health outcomes but also in a way that is different from their cisgender peers in order to form communities, explore health education about their gender identity, and seek refuge from isolating or unsafe environments [11].
One study found that sexual and gender minority (SGM) adolescents (e.g., lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender), aged 13–18 years old, spent an average of 5 h per day online, approximately 45 min more than non-SGM adolescents in 2010–2011 [12]. However, this study grouped SGM together as a single group, conflating the experiences of gender minorities (e.g., transgender, gender-questioning) with those of sexual minorites (e.g., lesbian, gay, bisexual), and the data are now over a decade old. In a nationally representative sample of adolescents aged 13–18 years old in the U.S., transgender adolescents had higher probabilities of problematic internet use than cisgender adolescents. However, this analysis did not measure modality-specific problematic screen use such as problematic social media, video game, or mobile phone use, which may further inform the function that media use plays in the lives of gender minority adolescents [13]. While this prior research provides important groundwork to understand screen time and problematic use in gender minority adolescents, gaps remain in understanding differences in screen time and specific modalities of problematic screen use in gender minority early adolescents.
Our study aims to address the gaps in the current literature by studying associations between transgender and gender-questioning identity and screen time across several modalities including recreational and problematic social media, video game, and mobile phone use in a large, national sample of early adolescents. We hypothesized that among early adolescents, transgender identification and questioning one’s gender identity would be positively associated with greater recreational screen time and problematic screen use compared to cisgender identification.
==
tl;dr: Gender-mania is an online social contagion.
No shit. That's why these "authentic selves" and "innate identities" tend to evaporate when kids are detoxed from the internet.

Promote Your Fiverr Gig & Boost Sales With SEO
Tumblr media
Are you struggling to get sales on your Fiverr gig? With millions of freelancers competing for attention, ranking your gig on Fiverr and search engines is crucial. This is where SEO (Search Engine Optimization) comes in. By optimizing your Fiverr gig with the right keywords, descriptions, and external backlinks, you can boost your visibility, drive more traffic, and increase sales. In this guide, we’ll explore how to use SEO effectively to promote your Fiverr gig and attract more buyers.
1. Understanding Fiverr SEO
Fiverr SEO refers to the optimization techniques that improve the ranking of your gig within Fiverr’s search results. Fiverr uses an algorithm that considers various factors such as keywords, gig performance, reviews, and order completion rate. By optimizing these elements, you increase the chances of appearing in Fiverr’s top search results, leading to more traffic and sales.
Fiverr’s Gig Ranking Factors:
Relevant Keywords in the gig title, description, and tags
High-Quality Gig Images and Videos to attract buyers
Competitive Pricing and compelling offers
Positive Customer Reviews and Ratings
Fast Response Time and Order Completion Rate
Engagement Metrics such as clicks, views, and orders
2. Optimizing Your Fiverr Gig with SEO
a) Keyword Research for Fiverr Gigs
Just like Google, Fiverr ranks gigs based on relevant keywords. To find the best keywords:
Use Fiverr’s search bar and check auto-suggestions
Analyze top-ranking competitors’ gigs for common terms
Use SEO tools like Ubersuggest, Ahrefs, and Semrush to find related keywords
Focus on long-tail keywords like “affordable WordPress website designer” instead of just “WordPress designer”
b) Writing an SEO-Optimized Gig Title
Your gig title should be clear, engaging, and keyword-rich. Example: ❌ Bad: “I will design a website” ✅ Good: “I Will Design a Professional WordPress Website for Businesses”
c) Crafting an Optimized Fiverr Gig Description
Your gig description must:
Include primary and secondary keywords naturally
Highlight your expertise, unique selling points, and benefits
Use bullet points for easy readability
End with a clear call-to-action (CTA) encouraging buyers to place an order
Example:
“Looking for a professional WordPress website designer? I specialize in creating responsive, SEO-friendly websites that drive traffic and conversions. Whether you need a business site, blog, or eCommerce store, I’ve got you covered. Order now and let’s get started!”
d) Choosing the Right Gig Tags
Fiverr allows up to 5 gig tags, so choose the most relevant ones. Example for a WordPress gig: ✅ WordPress website, website design, SEO website, responsive website, web developer
e) Uploading High-Quality Gig Images and Videos
Eye-catching visuals help convert visitors into buyers. Use:
HD images with readable text
Short promotional videos (Fiverr prioritizes gigs with videos in search results)
Portfolio samples to showcase previous work
3. Promoting Your Fiverr Gig Outside Fiverr
a) Driving Traffic from Google
Optimizing your Fiverr gig for Google search can drive external traffic.
Create a blog post on Medium, LinkedIn, or your website linking to your gig
Use SEO-friendly meta descriptions with relevant keywords
Share guest posts on industry websites linking to your Fiverr profile
b) Sharing Your Gig on Social Media
Leverage social platforms to get more visibility:
Facebook & LinkedIn Groups: Share valuable insights and subtly promote your gig
Twitter & Instagram: Use relevant hashtags like #FiverrGigs, #FreelanceServices, #HireMe
Pinterest & YouTube: Create graphics or short videos showcasing your services
c) Using Quora & Reddit for Gig Promotion
Answering relevant questions on Quora and participating in Reddit communities can attract targeted buyers.
Find questions related to your service and provide helpful answers
Link to your Fiverr gig naturally without spamming
d) Running Paid Ads (Optional)
If you have a budget, you can use Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or Fiverr Promoted Gigs to target potential buyers.
4. Maintaining a High Fiverr Gig Ranking
Even after optimizing your gig, consistent efforts are needed to maintain a high ranking.
Deliver high-quality work to receive 5-star ratings
Respond quickly to messages to improve your response rate
Encourage satisfied clients to leave positive reviews
Update your gig regularly to stay competitive

Sega Mega Drive - Awesome Possum Kicks Dr. Machino's Butt!
Title: Awesome Possum Kicks Dr. Machino's Butt! / オーサムポッサム
Developer/Publisher: Tengen / Nu Romantic Productions
Release date: 25 December 1993
Catalogue No.: T-48153
Genre: Platform Action
Tumblr media
Pretty much everything about this game is done horribly wrong. At first, it's just a pain to look at and listen to, with terribly chopped up and badly done graphics. Ok, the Mega Drive itself was pretty limited in its display of colors, but this game feels like a true hack job, even if it isn't. Just look at Sonic 2. Secondly, the sound is horrible, with distorted voice samples and bad music. It's not even so bad that it's funny, it's just bad. The controls and challenge are also what is not good about this, if you can manage to stand the terrible controls, you'll probably finish this game in an hour or less. Pretty much you run, like Sonic but not as fast or fun, and jump sometimes, like Sonic, but not as good, and if you're lucky the seemingly random spin attack works so you can dispose of the badly animated and unimaginatively designed enemies.
The framerate is so choppy you'll want to divert your eyes, and the level design is infuriating. For example, in one stage you'll whiz through a series of tunnels only to be tossed into a set of elevated buzz saws! Your adversaries include chainsaw-toting gray robots which can be defeated by Awesome's patented spin attack. And when I say patented, I mean patented by Sonic of course. Awesome Possum is woefully unoriginal, which is also evident in the derivative rainforest, underwater, and ice stages. The background music is a few notches below Casio keyboard quality, and the muffled sound effects are grating. Between stages, you're presented with trivia questions, but most make little or no sense. Awesome Possum is one platformer that should only be played out of morbid curiosity - don't expect to derive any degree of enjoyment. This game was not released in PAL territories.

The cartoon interviewer greets you onscreen. He looks a little young to be asking questions about a job—sort of a cartoon version of Harry Potter, with dark hair and glasses. You can choose other interviewers to speak with instead, representing various genders and races with names like Benjamin, Leslie, and Kristin. Alex, the name given to this AI interviewer, asks about your professional experience, theoretical questions about programming, and then gives out a coding exercise.
Alex is an AI interviewer developed by micro1, a US company that describes itself as an AI recruitment engine for engineers. The tech provides an “enjoyable, gamified, and less-biased interview process,” the company’s founder, Ali Ansari, claims in a demo video of the tech.
The use of AI tools in job hunting is becoming widespread. Career sites like Indeed and LinkedIn have incorporated generative AI tools for job seekers and recruiters into their platforms. There are interviewer chatbots companies can enable, as well as AI tools to help people practice for job interviews. But the use of AI in evaluating candidates has mixed reviews: Some HR tools have been caught making negative judgements on applicants who have Black-sounding names, giving preference to men, or skipping over candidates with employment gaps on résumés.
AI tools in hiring save companies money and time, but the long-term implications for workers have yet to be realized.
Ansari tells WIRED that this tool allows companies to “screen candidates in a much more efficient and accurate manner.” Micro1 splits its model into two formats: Companies can employ the software to interview candidates for specific roles, and rather than picking through a sample size of thousands of applicants, can screen endless masses of candidates with the AI interviewer. Or candidates can go through the process independently to be added to a marketplace of engineers. The internal marketplace has a talent pool of vetted engineers—from India, Argentina, Brazil, and other countries far from American tech hubs—who Ansari describes as “untapped but exceptional.” This, he says, may help diversify who gets to work in top tech jobs. “We become the way into Silicon Valley,” Ansari says.
More than 100,000 people have gone through micro1’s screenings with hopes of being added to its marketplace of engineers, and the company lists a number of tech companies, including DoNotPay (whose CEO has also invested in micro1) among those who have used its system to screen or hire engineers from its marketplace. Ansari says companies are using micro1 to screen as many as 30,000 candidates a month.
Asynchronous video interviews have become more common, with companies turning to prerecorded responses in automated systems to handle screening interviews. This task has become more onerous after a series of layoffs in the past two years have whittled down the number of positions available, and recruiters who post open roles on sites like LinkedIn can receive hundreds or thousands of applicants. And generative AI tools have made it easier for those seeking jobs to bulk apply, creating more applications for recruiters and hiring managers to review—some with little relevance to the role. But while AI is becoming more common on the hiring side, too, some recruiters are wary of the biases it may have, and have steered clear of employing the tools in their decisions.
Of course there’s still bias with AI tools, Ansari says. “Of course there’s also bias with humans. The goal with the AI system is to make it much less biased than humans.” With AI, Ansari explains, the AI interviewer on micro1 won’t pass or fail a candidate; instead, it places them into categories like inexperienced, mid-level, and senior. Then, Ansari says, it’s on the hiring manager or recruiter to decide if the candidate is a good fit for the role. They can also listen to audio recordings of the responses rather than relying solely on the AI interviewer to interpret them.
Zahira Jaser, an associate professor at the University of Sussex Business School, says a lot remains unknown about the impact of AI and asynchronous interviewing—including how the tech affects candidates. Recording oneself can be awkward, and there are no human cues to pick up on from an AI interviewer. After being told to act naturally and put their best foot forward in the already nerve-wracking process of human job interviews throughout their career, people may not know how to show their best self to a chatbot, particularly when they’re up against opaque, built-in biases of AI.
“In the real world, humans are biased. But there are techniques we can use to overcome this human bias,” Jaser says. “In an algorithm-driven bias, this is likely to be very systematic.” For example, some AI hiring tools are trained on profiles of past successful employees, raising concerns that they will repeat past biased hiring practices.
For now, these AI tools don’t have the final say in who gets hired. But they increasingly have sway over which applicants get face time with a real human, and that can have a massive impact on what the workforce looks like going forward.
But if you ask Ansari, there is an alternative path for interviews in the future: He believes job seekers may also use AI-driven avatars to interview for jobs with AI interviewers, relegating the painful, tedious parts of initial job searchers to computers entirely. AI could make “really good matches” between job seekers and companies, Ansari says. “And then the company and the candidate can spend their actual time on a Zoom call or in-person interview.”

8) Evaluate Yourself
Evaluating students from time to time is essential for effective exam preparations.
Thousand of online education portals avail previous year question papers where you can evaluate yourself and find your stand.
While attempting a sample paper, imagine yourself in the examination hall and keep proper track of time without having breaks in between.

Very interested in your thesis 👀
ALRIGHT. putting this under the cut because it's A Lot and i don't wanna clog up your dash. but i'll go ahead and pop in the link to my thesis here! tl;dr - 80 pages of scholarly research that answers the question "why do people use tumblr?"
so, because i'm a grown up with a considerable presence on the web, i'll share some potentially personal info. i don't have any concerns about being doxxed or anything like that lmao this is tumblr dot com.
i completed my masters degree about a year ago at bowling green state university. bgsu is one of the few institutions in this area of the country that has programs for cultural studies, so it was a great fit for me.
my thesis's goal was to use qualitative, humanistic research methods to understand the broad culture of tumblr - that is to say, i wanted to study people and their experiences on the site. basically, my thesis advisor and i sat down and asked, "what the fuck is up with tumblr?" and developed a research methodology to answer this question. my methods were inductive, meaning that i went in and gathered data, took a look at my notes, and generated a conclusion that answered the question.
i did it within the realm of "constructivist grounded theory," which is a specific way to apply inductive reasoning to humanistic research. it focuses on how experiences construct meaning and value; people don't inherently give sites like tumblr value, they use it in a way that creates that for them. the basic steps of the research method are as follows: go over your literature to get an idea for what you're up to, collect your data (in my case, interview users of tumblr), "code" your data (go over the transcripts word by word and look for similarities/draw conclusions), go back into the field and interview MORE people, and then draw a conclusion that answers your question (which is usually "what is up with this thing").
i'm really proud of my thesis and the "theory of tumblr" i came up with (which i'll put in a blockquote at the end of this answer), but there are some things i'd change in the future if i go on to do a phd. i would have liked to go back out into the field to interview more people - i didn't have time for this since i only had two semesters to write my thesis lmao. i also would have liked to get a broader sample size. i was deep into bandom hell, so a lot of my research participants were in that subculture as well. they were all also personal acquaintances and friends - it would have been nice to interview perfect strangers! i guess my theory of tumblr is more "theory of a handful of people in my bubble who are part of a very specific subculture and all have very similar demographic/social backgrounds"
if anyone wants to build off this research, i recommend setting a survey out into the wild on tumblr and THEN doing interviews. give it a nice mix of multiple choice/slider questions as well as some short answer questions. look for overarching themes and similarities in all those responses! and maybe make one of your survey questions "can we reach out to you with further questions?" so you can do interviews that are more in depth. interview a few people at a time, see what they say, and then go out and interview more people and see if they say the same thing. don't be afraid to update your research question or change what themes you focus on. if your findings are different than what you expect, that means you're onto something cutting edge!
also - i TOTALLY recommend doing interview via zoom like i did. if you have a premium subscription, it'll generate a transcript for you in real time, so you don't have to sit down, listen to the audio, and transcribe it chunk by chunk. makes coding WAY easier.
as promised: my academic "theory of tumblr":
Tumblr is a microblogging social media platform that has been turned by users into an emergent space for community development, cultural creation, and identity affirmation. The aspects of the site that prove significant to its construction and userbase include but are not limited to the userbase’s focus on social engagement through shared interests and worldviews, the uniqueness of the site’s design, the prioritization of marginalized and diverse people, and the performance and refinement of user identities. These nuances of Tumblr have made it continuously relevant to users, even when considering both positive and negative personal experiences on the platform, as it helps provide a sense of connectivity and authenticity in an increasingly virtual world.

If you have in mind to develop an app then probably you must require some help, so to find the best mobile app development company in Sharjah.
But what does that look like? What can you expect from the start of this journey? Here’s a quick explanation of how working with a professional team would play out — and how keeping it affordable.
1. First Comes the Idea
Everything starts with an idea. It might be a tool for your business, a new game, or a service app. Before contacting any company, it helps to have a rough idea of what you want the app to do. You don’t need to know every detail—but clarity at the start saves time and cost later.
2. The First Meeting Matters
When you reach out to an app development company in Sharjah, the first meeting usually focuses on understanding your goals. The team will ask questions like:
Who are your users?
What problem does the app solve?
Do you need it on iOS, Android, or both?
This discussion shapes the project’s direction. Good communication here ensures you and the developers are on the same page.
3. Planning Before Coding
App creation doesn’t start with coding. It begins with planning. This includes defining the app’s features, creating user journeys, and designing wireframes. Think of it like drawing a map before a road trip.
This stage is also where Affordable mobile app development in Sharjah becomes possible. When things are well-planned, there are fewer changes later—and that keeps costs down.
4. Design That Works
Design isn’t just about looks. It’s about how the user interacts with the app. A clean, easy-to-use design makes your app more appealing. During this phase, you’ll see mockups or sample screens. This is your chance to give feedback before development begins.
Remember, simple designs often lead to better user experiences—and lower development costs.
5. The Development Phase
Once it’s all approved I actually need to start coding. The app will be developed by the development team. This can take weeks or months, depending on the complexity of your app. There will be like segments of progress to see — the login screen first, then the dashboard, etc.
A few Sharjah-based companies provide stage-by-stage progress reports. What this means is that you can test features as they are developed which can, in and of itself, lead to fewer surprises at the end.
6. Testing is Key
Before the app goes live, it needs to be tested thoroughly. This includes checking how it works on different devices, catching bugs, and making sure the user experience is smooth. Most Affordable mobile app development in Sharjah includes this phase in the overall package.
Testing might seem boring, but it’s one of the most important steps in making sure your app works right.
7. Launch and Beyond
With the app tested and polished, it’s time to release. That might be on App Store, or Google Play, or internally if that’s for private use. But that’s not the end of the journey.
Apps require updates and maintenance and in some cases new features. Just be sure to plan for this continuing support from the start. Some Sharjah based development companies provide cost-effective post-launch services to maintain your app in good working!
8. What Affects the Cost
Overall costation is always a question to everyone. Review some factors that affect it:
Number of features
App complexity
Platform (iOS, Android, or both)
Design details
Ongoing support
If you consider keeping your app simple, start with the basics, then it can be an affordable mobile app development in Sharjah. Also you can add some new features with the time.
Conclusion
Working with a web development company in Sharjah doesn’t have to be complicated. When you understand the process, you can make better choices and avoid unnecessary costs. The key is to plan well, communicate clearly, and keep things simple.
Whether you're building a tool for business or launching a creative idea, the right team will guide you through it—step by step.
