L2 Networks on the Rise: Mantle's Token Achieves New Heights
Mantle's native token, MNT, has soared to new heights, reaching an all-time high of $0.95, reflecting a remarkable 20% surge within the last 24 hours. This surge is indicative of the flourishing developments within Mantle's DeFi ecosystem, often referred to as a 'DeFi paradise' due to its innovative projects and solutions, according to Chinese reporter Colin Wu.
The broader Layer 2 sector has also experienced notable growth, with an overall 4.2% increase. Immutable X (IMX) and Optimism (OP) tokens have been key contributors to this sectoral rise, with IMX surging over 7.5%, and OP rising more than 4%. This upward momentum underscores increasing investor confidence in Layer 2 solutions, which aim to address scalability and transaction speed concerns prevalent in traditional blockchain networks.
Data from CoinGecko reveals the robust market capitalizations of leading Layer 2 tokens, indicating heightened investor interest. Polygon (MATIC), a prominent player in the Layer 2 space, boasts a market cap nearing $449 million. Other projects such as Immutable X and Arbitrum follow closely, with market caps of $89 million and $278 million, respectively. These figures highlight diverse yet substantial investments in these emerging Layer 2 networks.
Integral to the Layer 2 narrative is the DeFi sector, which has played a pivotal role in driving the adoption and growth of these networks. By offering decentralized financial services at a fraction of the cost and time compared to traditional blockchain systems, Layer 2 solutions are gaining recognition. The impressive performance of Mantle's token underscores the potential of these networks in creating a more accessible and efficient DeFi landscape.
The trajectory of growth in the Layer 2 sector indicates a steady movement toward a more scalable and user-friendly blockchain ecosystem. As these networks evolve and attract more participants, the promise of a more inclusive and efficient blockchain infrastructure becomes increasingly achievable. With positive market responses, Layer 2 tokens like MNT could be pioneering the next wave of innovation in the crypto space.

Top 3 hidden gems in crypto
1.Polygon Matic
My first choice is a long-time favorite at tradingclearview. It’s Polygon and his MATIC token. I chose Polygon because Polygon 2.0 is coming soon.
This will make some changes to your current settings. It will be multi-chain and will come with a new token, POL.
So let’s start with the new POL token. We will be performing live from the end of October 2023.
2.Pyth Network
is an oracle. The name oracle comes from the Latin word ‘orare’. This means ‘to speak’. That’s what the old Greek oracles did, back in the day.
These were women, chosen by gods. You could ask them a question, and when they would speak, they answered a God.
3.Mars4
Mars4 is a term that refers to two different things. First, it is a Soviet spacecraft launched in 1973 as part of the Mars program to explore Mars, but it encountered computer problems that prevented it from entering orbit around Mars in 1974.
Second, Mars4 is a cryptocurrency token called MARS4, which is used as an in-game currency for building, expanding, and creating colonies on Mars in a virtual world called Mars4. Read more...

A JEWEL OF SAMBURU
The Samburu Reticulated Giraffe, also known as the Somali giraffe, is a subspecies of giraffe that is endemic to the Samburu region. What makes these giraffes truly captivating is their distinctive coat pattern. Unlike other giraffes, the Samburu reticulated giraffe has a striking network of polygonal patches that are separated by narrow white lines. This intricate pattern, resembling a mosaic, creates a visually stunning spectacle and makes them a true gem of the Samburu landscape.

Polygon article.
Rest of post under a cut due to length and possible spoilers.
“I’ll say one of the greatest challenges of this game, but also one of the most enjoyable things, was, How do the Dalish react when their gods are out in the world and rampaging?” creative director John Epler told Polygon. It seems that across the board every Dalish elf in the game pretty much rejects their risen gods now that they’ve shown their true hand. Two of Rook’s companions, elven historian Bellara Lutare and Grey Warden Davrin, come from Dalish clans themselves and even though they’re a little shaken about confronting their gods, they’re not conflicted about doing so. In fact, among Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain’s lackeys and puppets, there’s not a single elf to be found. Epler said that it’s vindication for the Dalish — which is nice to see considering how they’ve been portrayed in past games. “Dragon Age has not always been the kindest to the Dalish,” he said. “Somebody once made a joke to me, and it’s not untrue, that it’s possible to wipe out a Dalish clan in all three of the games in some way.” In Origins, siding with the werewolves in the Brecilian Forest quest leads to the clan being destroyed. In Dragon Age 2, if you defend your companion Merrill’s blood magic usage, her clan attacks you and must be killed. And in Dragon Age: Inquisition, if you’re playing as an elven Inquisitor, you can accidentally kill your clan by picking the wrong options in the War Table mission. It’s not easy being a Dalish elf in Thedas. Still, though, why haven’t any Dalish elves decided to join forces with their gods? As Epler put it, the gods simply don’t care about them. They’re looking for followers in other places. Even though the end of Dragon Age: Inquisition’s Trespasser DLC revealed that Solas had amassed a network of elven agents, they weren’t going to be swayed. “Solas’ agents were never there for power,” Epler said. “They were there for a sense of identity and a purpose. And I would say that it’s fair that Fen’Harel probably bent the truth to them when he was doing his recruiting pitch — the part where he says ‘I’m going to destroy the world’ at the end of Trespasser [was] not what he was telling them.” Solas’ agents are almost jarringly absent from The Veilguard, with barely any mention of how far and wide they spread in the years prior to the game. But they do have very good reason for not being the ones joining up with the gods. “Those blighted, decrepit gods, they’re not bothering with the soft pitch,” Epler explained. “Their pitch is, We’re going to make a horrible world. We’re going to give you a lot of power, and maybe you’ll be OK.” On a more meta note, the Dalish just needed an in-game win. It’s refreshing that Bellara and Davrin get to honor their culture and also not be ostracized from it and possibly forced to kill their clan, as was the case with Merrill in Dragon Age 2. And instead of being accidentally (or purposely!) killed off by the player character, the Dalish elves in The Veilguard get to righteously rally against the mages that they once called gods and reclaim part of their history. “I love that the Dalish in this game, by and large, are saying, No, we were lied to. We were the first victims of these gods. We’re going to fight back,” Epler said. “And they really get a sense to kind of rise up in this game and start establishing themselves in this way that in the future I can’t wait to go back to, but in this game gives them a sense of a win. They get a victory in how they respond to the threat of the gods in this game.”

Colorful Terrain Southwest of Dawes Crater
Even seemingly unremarkable parts of Mars can appear complex and beautiful in HiRISE images! This image covers the plains southwest of Dawes Crater, a nearly 200-kilometer wide impact scar in the Terra Sabaea region of Mars’ ancient Southern highlands.
Scattered across the scene are many smaller, nearly circular depressions (likely younger impact craters) filled with dark materials, as well as lighter-toned ridges oriented from west/southwest to east/northeast; the latter are likely composed of wind-blown sand, but some small craters interrupt them too, suggesting that this sand has not moved recently.
In between the craters and sand cover, the bedrock here shows a range of colors, likely reflecting a range of rock compositions that were perhaps jumbled up by the Dawes and other nearby impacts that occurred over Martian history. The enhanced color cutout, roughly half a kilometer wide, shows some green/blue blocks that may contain the igneous minerals pyroxene or olivine, and lighter orange-to-pink materials present especially within a network of polygonal outlines intermittently visible across the image. These lighter-toned materials may include secondary minerals, such as clays or salts, that formed within a network of cracks previously present in these rocks.
Although HiRISE had not actively targeted this location, we were able to ride along with another MRO instrument's observation of it, revealing exquisite details. (Enhanced color cutout is less than 1 km across.)

Brandon Sanderson says studios and streamers aren’t ready to adapt his work
‘Streaming has had a big problem with epic fantasy, and this has me worried’
The following are quotes from recent interview with Brandon Sanderson on Polygon. I chose certain responses which I think to be the most interesting parts.
If you are interested you can read the whole article here.
"I have had a lot of offers for The Stormlight Archive, people wanting to make prestige television for cable networks or streamers. Very nice offers from very great people that I would want to work with. And I’ve said no because I don’t feel it’s the right time for Stormlight Archive yet. I am in the fortunate position where I can walk away from some of the best deals that might be offered to authors, and do what I think is best for the story."
"What would convince you the time was right? What signs are you looking for?
The solid answer is: I don’t know. Hopefully I will recognize it when I see it. But the reason I don’t know is, I’m not convinced that we have hit stability in the streaming market. Streaming has had a big problem with epic fantasy, and this has me worried. Rings of Power and Wheel of Time have not gone as well as I would’ve hoped. Shadow and Bone lasted only two seasons, after a very strong first season. Streaming hasn’t figured out epic fantasy yet.
Maybe this is a holdover from network television days, where they’re trying to make the episodes fit into the structure of how episodic television used to work, rather than filming an eight-hour movie and showing it in chunks. But maybe that’s a bad idea. All I know is, right now we haven’t seen really great epic fantasy film television since the early, mid seasons of Game of Thrones. Fifty million dollars per episode has not done it, so it’s not a matter of the money they’re throwing at it. The other thing we haven’t seen is any of these shows really taking off to the extent that I would like with the general public."
"Really, what I want — it’s just a little thing, just a little thing — I just want a genius filmmaker on the level of Denis Villeneuve, someone who grew up loving my work [the way Villeneuve loved Frank Herbert’s Dune], and wants to bring it to the screen with the mix of fidelity and adaptation required to make a great epic like Dune. You do have to change things [for a screen adaptation], but this filmmaker would really understand the property, and have an artistic vision that matches the property.
For epic fantasy and science fiction, we have rarely seen that, but it happened with Dune, and it happened with Lord of the Rings. So hopefully there’s someone out there that can work with me to make Mistborn."
"With an unlimited budget and unlimited creative control, I think I could make something really good. But who knows? I mean, The Rings of Power essentially had that, and it’s not very good. It’s fine, but is it the thing that you want? I mean, I really think the key member is that visionary filmmaker. Epic fantasy has responded poorly to too much oversight from above. I think that was The Witcher’s problem. You had that visionary: It was Henry Cavill. And they didn’t want to listen to him. So, well, there you go."
Thank you, Brandon. It was healthy to read how he used many opportunities to fill in shade for the failures of modern fantasy adaptations including one very special project in particular. But please, continue to point about that "successful show for Amazon". Probably the author can agree with you some day.

Polygon (MATIC) Overtakes Ethereum in NFT Sales – Unraveling the Surge Factors
In the ever-shifting terrain of blockchain networks, Polygon, operating on the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, has swiftly emerged as a dominant player, solidifying its status as a leading Ethereum scaling solution. Recent metrics illuminate a surge in transaction volumes and an expanding user base, propelling Polygon into contention with established chains like Solana.
On February 10th, Polygon made waves by registering a remarkable 3.41 million transactions, outpacing BNB Chain and securing a close second position behind Solana in the transaction volume rankings. This surge in on-chain activities underscores Polygon's growing significance as a scaling solution for Ethereum, a role it has assertively claimed since the commencement of February.
Exponential User Growth: The Impact of the Inscriptions Phenomenon
Polygon's user base has experienced a substantial surge, boasting over 672,000 unique active addresses on February 10th, surpassing Solana's reported 644,000 daily users. This noteworthy increase in daily active addresses, representing a 75% surge over the last two months, can be attributed to the Inscriptions phenomenon.
The Inscriptions phenomenon has not only captured user interest but has injected vitality into Polygon's NFT marketplace. Data from CryptoSlam reveals a nearly sixfold increase in monthly NFT sales on Polygon, underscoring the network's growing influence in the market.
NFT Dominance and Noteworthy Milestones
Polygon's NFT marketplace has witnessed unprecedented success, eclipsing Ethereum in 24-hour NFT sales last month for the first time in its history. Presently, Polygon ranks as the fourth-largest chain in NFT trading over the past week, with sales exceeding $8 million.
The dynamic NFT landscape on Polygon highlights the platform's ability to attract creators and users, fostering innovation and diversity within its ecosystem.
MATIC's Market Performance and Whale Accumulation
In contrast to Polygon's robust on-chain activities and expanding user base, its native token, MATIC, has seen a 1.31% increase at the time of writing, trading at $0.8563. While MATIC has experienced nearly a 7.89% weekly increase, it has faced challenges in reclaiming the crucial $1 mark and has shed 26.82% since the beginning of the year.
Despite the token's price dynamics, whale investors have seized the opportunity to accumulate MATIC holdings. Santiment data reveals a notable uptick in addresses holding between 1,000 and 10 million MATIC coins over the last month.
Derivatives Market and a Tapestry of Sentiments
The derivatives market tells a nuanced story, with a preponderance of bets against MATIC's price. This mixed sentiment among traders reflects the intricate interplay of factors influencing MATIC's future trajectory.
In conclusion, Polygon's meteoric ascent, characterized by surging transaction volumes, the Inscriptions phenomenon, and NFT dominance, positions it as a pivotal player in the cryptocurrency space. Despite mixed sentiments in the derivatives market and challenges faced by its native token MATIC, Polygon's innovative approach and user engagement underscore its significance in steering the evolution of blockchain networks. As the cryptocurrency market continues to unfold, Polygon remains a dynamic force shaping the future of decentralized ecosystems.

this edit was also from early 2023, i think during my Gideon induced mania. Idk i was trying rlly hard to cope with being part of an art internship while i was still in high school. My coworkers probably knew me for suddenly not shutting up about Gideon and then leaving without a goodbye when i could’ve graduated the program and have good networking with mf nickelodeon even if i never wanted to work with tjem [i did have an interview with people who worked on the Invader Zim movie tho so thats cool]
⚠️strobing lights warning i think??⚠️
this is the song
No matter how much i can try to psychoanalyze Gideon Graves and don’t fully enjoy fanon interpretations of him due to personal reasons, i’ll forever associate this song with him. My spotify playlist for Gideon maybe industrial ish or whatever, this song is Gideon to me because of this edit i made like a year ago.
i couldve been a normal member of society if gideon didn’t take over my life guys /j

Thoughts on a Brilliant Minds that managed to be positive enough to be a new favorite despite a theme of pain (and one that feels like they knew the 911 fandom overlap in advance)
911 what's your emergency (twice this week)
autism mention
car thing (of course it is) appeared to calm him down
can't wait for restraint discourse
paramedic lady looks not well
Van with the save with the stim polygon
stop reading into shit
so the kid has not just autism but essentially Nathan's thing from Haven (or the science-y version at least)
stim toys actually mentioned as stim toys
sparks flying for Dana?
Carol stop meddling (maybe it's to avoid her own issues)
flashback Carol nearly threw me
okay flashing lights
can we do something against patient consent
so we know the what of it
cue the medical equivalent of what Morgan does on Criminal Minds
so Van and Ericka are on despite those stumbles
good dad-to-dad talk
Wolf shows his vending machine trick again
I can feel it with the expecting a reaction from the reveal
and now when Carol met Morris
EMT's in septic shock we don't know why and I'm trying to hold back a panic-attack-in-the-colloquial-sense-not-the-Dana-sense
so we have the answer and presumably the answer to the answer (she's immunocompromised)
Allison continuing to feel interested in both of them and she freaking met Maya before (and also her hair continues to remind me of Allison Wright from S2 of SHMT, same length-ish, same shade of platinum blonde with brown roots showing)
another flashback and holy trauma
date at home this time
Dana's a chaos gremlin and EMT chick's a workaholic
so not just workaholic, just trauma and a parallel with Wolf comparable to what'd happen on Tracker with Colter and a Missing-Person-Of-The-Week
as usual, experimental solutions both figuratively and literally
weird way for them to connect if rumors are true and they might be a thing but now we know the explanation for Dana's "Tarot arc challenge" of fearing stillness
now Wolf gets to return the favor and comfort Carol
so Dana's gay too but I missed who she said was her gay awakening (background music too loud)
love is in the air for everyone out here
I still maintain (and not just to satisfy my brain to make everyone queer) Jacob, Ericka and Van could solve their issues via polyamory (there's enough precedent both on this show's progressiveness and a two-guys-one-girl throuple on another network show with the Ody3 on Doctor Odyssey)
that is not the ending (or the death, as one was rumored) I expected but thank you for suicide hotline card thingie
so if next week's the fall finale this season's potentially longer than I thought (as I highly doubt they'd only have a couple of episodes after fall finale as why call it that) and also kinda funny that this episode had a patient with autism like me and next one will have one with tics like my sister
