Anya got rejected to medical school eight times, but tbh that's not as bad as it sounds. Originally, I thought it meant that she got rejected for eight application cycles/years straight, but she probably just applied to eight schools and got rejected from all of them. She's mentioned to have no savings back at home and applications are expensive asf, so I think it's realistic if she applied for only 2-3 cycles/years to only 2-3 schools and got rejected eight times from that. Imo it's less realistic that she only applied to one school for eight years and kept getting rejected (despite this, I still think she's in her late twenties/early thirties tho)

But tbh it's not even unrealistic to think that she applied to eight schools in 1 cycle/year. Was talking to my TA who's applying to medical school, and she applied to seven. Medical schools are ridiculously competitive hard to get into, so tbh it's not even that bad that she got rejected eight times, nor is it any indication of her being "incompetent" or "stupid" (,:

oh that's wild I haven't seen anyone say Either but also haven't looked whehshsh. personality wise for sure. like out of the two of them, john's the one that's angry and impulsive like ennis. I think ppl probably say the opposite for the tried and true "repressed paul and pining bi john" but going off just. personality...... like uuuh think about the scene where he beats up some guy at the drive-in. definitely a john move. also could totally see paul marrying anne hathaway and selling cars. also of the two of them, thinking abt the one more likely to have an "oh fuck this is gay" freak out and punch the other..... again, john. or which one is more likely to start puking over being gay....... john 😭 plus I could absolutely see cynthia more in the role that ennis' wife is rather than making that linda. like. she's a lot more long suffering and sort of like. hm. mousey than linda was? plus ennis gets divorced & jack never does which I could see as well. and paul continuing to sneak behind linda's back to have a few sort of meaningless sexual affairs w men and john getting Pissed about it? also real to me.

I think the opposite is probably appealing but based off vibe Alone....

really truly smitten thank you with the way that to me i think bloodsong of love is still absolutely a show within a show, as it was meant to be with a whole second parallel plotline before that was nixed....the way that in the beginning, for outlaw, in the ending, for the friendship song reprise there, in the acto twotro, for last on land, the heart of the heart of this show amidst this trifecta of moments being that heart of the show & this trifecta of moments all featuring All The Characters but not really as The Characters they are within the main plotlines, but rather these other related characters who are all aligned & collaborate in these moments which are voicing what the show is all about. bsol is also clear about the spaghetti western being a Not Totally Literal affect in a world that also has here & there more mundane modern elements / sitcom elements / seemingly completely idiosyncratic elements (though i'm aware if anything is making reference to any actual spaghetti westerns or probably any specific media period it's going over my head) But those are still also part of the storyline, the characters are still the same characters, unlike that Beginning, Last On Land, Ending realm where they aren't quite really, & being Fully Aligned Full Collaborators as they are in those moments also doesn't fit with the characters in that main storyline, but it does fit for characters who are actors within the show essentially putting on bsol as a show within the show & even still emerging at all despite the whole other storyline about them being cut b/c these moments are the most distilled About Art/Show/Theatremaking in the overall show which is what bsol as a whole is all about babeyyy & just as that immediate distilled concept i'm smitten & stricken like oh wowww these actor characters we don't even get to know Are putting on this show & of course real people are real actors acting all these layers of parts together & putting their hearts & blood & whole pussies into it & it does fuck & that's not quite as emotional language about it but i Am moved & Do get weepy & also just blown away like good god have you listened to outlaw? to last on land? to the friendship song finale? oh my lord
