#new #my art #I planned a lot of things #but now I am kinda numb emotionally #cause sister's nearly divorce crises and her husband being my best coworker #and me not managing my talks in my head lol #soooo I don't think I will draw anything for a long time #rip plans but life always happens #and maybe it a good thing #anyways #oh how I enjoyed drawing this one!#I've never drew anything bigger than like 2k pixels #and this one was meant to be printed on A3+#and the first time I did the right size for it I was like WHAT? DO? YOU? MEAN?#when I am at 100% it's only one rock at my whole screen #but then I figured out that like... I can draw details ten times moooooore #spending 8hours on one roooock!!!#MORE SPACE #and I dont know shit about proffesional stuff with exposition and placement and shadows and colours #so details everywhere as I go #and I love to think that the portal to the lake with antlers bars is portal to Augus' lake #and I wanted water snails and knitted jelly fish and kinda blanket but water themed so it's a big algue piece #and it just piled up #and the colours feel was the most relaxing thing to look at all the time #yeah #really proud of this one

Need an easy-overview of his traits and features lol #I did actually have a new idea after making these so I think I was onto something lol #He has a very fun character type ♪ He's oddly socially aware for how annoying he can be! He does it on purpose!!#Drix is the exact opposite so they're great contrasts to each other hehe <3 Drix Tries to be helpful and fumbles it but he's so earnest!#Also finally got me decided on their room placements - so much easier to coordinate them at Night with that square #They don't have roommates Yet but based on who was inhabiting which rooms originally....o3o It's an idea isn't it hmmm #I went and read Thrax's description on one of his wiki pages as well and he was described as ''Cold'' and I was like uhm???#Like yes he does kill in cold-blood - he's pretty unflinching and indiscriminate with what and who he aims his fire power at #But with his hot-headed attitude and overall heat aesthetic I have a difficult time calling him Cold exactly - cool for sure! Haha #But yeah I dunno about that - he's also a nerd which I find very fun haha sets up a powerpoint presentation for his thugs #And just ends up doing the main bit himself anyway! He just likes to talk about his plans hehehe #It really is double-fun to have them all from different points in their timelines ahh ♪ Who and what they know so fun to play in #The secret-keeping and surprises are my favourite part! Mismatch and uncertainty! Love that #I also had a lot of fun with their background splashes :) Ozzy gets blue cells - Drix gets his pills and some fizzles #And Thrax's cell-destroying fire and flames were stylized so cool! good news: i spent an hour formatting the designs for the pins on my mitsuba ita bag. they're all my own drawings since ita bags are meant to be a physical representation of your dedication, and my art is the best example of this dedication, i feel. so there's 15 unique drawings to be printed in total :D

bad news: in the hour i finished formatting these, the print shop closed so i can't get them printed and have to wait for tomorrow. oops. sorry mitsuba, your bag will have to be put on pause for now

What caused g1’s Cleo’s eye printing to be so messed up? Was it exclusive to her or did other characters suffer a similar level of misprints?

before I try to answer, I just wanna mention I'm not an expert- I'm working off the same level you are with a love of dolls and a working internet connection

Further complicating things is the fact that toy companies are notoriously secretive about their manufacturing process, so more of what I can offer is speculation

As far as I can tell, this is the process with which most modern dolls have their faces painted. It's also how ceramic plates get their designs.

Note how the doll's head in the video is a big ole baby head with a fairly simple design- if it's out of alignment a few milimeters it won't make too much of a visual difference.

Now, look at this tiny doll head, about an inch and change. Those eyes are barely half a centimeter wide, and so detailed. Even this stock photo has wonk eye.

The poor girl never stood a chance. Any tiny misalignment will result in a less than perfect faceup. Of course, ideally mattel would discard any misaligned heads, but everyone has different definitions of "good enough"

#I also almost told her I couldn’t come in bc I couldn’t trust myself to keep up my little work persona #but I also powered through and didn’t say that #I could’ve tho she doesn’t care what I say #idk I called off summer school this week and like my bad bc I did in fact sign up to do it 💀 but dear god I would die if I lost it #I haven’t cried at this job yet (outside of injury but thats legal crying 🙏) and I will not be breaking my streak #it’s fine we were way over staffed to begin with and half the kids have job placements so like I’d be bored out of my mind anyway #I’m just going to go back to sleep and then go see my mom #I hope Andy printed my little pieces for my costume but when I asked him last night he kept being like ohhh I lose the blah blah #you’re missing parts 😐 of my 600 dollar printer 😐 that I left with you because you said you’d take care of it if I let you use it 😐#ough it’s fine if there any more problems then idk Lydia’s GODD at problem solving and she will be here tomorrow night well at midnight we #so we are probs just coming right home and going to sleep but we have 2 days to get crisis work done if we have to #I’m so lonely I’m going back to sleep #my apologies to my students lol #I HEART 8 AM PERSONAL DIARY POSTING I’m getting such a good grade from my doctor when I tell her #my posts

I'm a registrar for a school. There's a shit ton of paperwork and information collection that is required by the state for licensing purposes.

I'm basically in charge of purgatory for parents who want their 3 year old in school, but refuse to read the instructions for the required forms. They must fill them CORRECTLY before I can enroll their student.

never forget the universal rule of the order of things: People Will Not Read It

#the amount of back and forth with these parents #Thank you for applying to [school name redacted]. before we can proceed with payment to secure your placement #the following items in your application must be updated #cue CVS length checklist of items they submitted incorrectly #but the instructions were already in the application and on the forms if they had only bothered to read them #its so bad i made a 10 minute video tutorial walking them through all the paperwork #and telling them WHY we need certain pieces of information #Your application will be returned to you for editing and resubmission if you do this incorrectly #the more times i have to return something to you #the less likely you are to save a spot before we fill up and start waitlisting #if it says “all fields required” i fucking meant it #i will return your application until you get it right #bless the minority of parents who read the instructions and turn in everything correct the first time #you go to the top of the list #i want you enrolled bc you are going to makr all future interactions so much easier #“but i don't want to give you XYZ information”#okay #then dont enroll here #that info is a basic requirement for safe guarding your child #do you think i give your this huge application packet for fun?#do you think i like reviewing all the forms and the back and forth with you to get it all right?#fuck no #im so tired #i want you to want us to keep your kid safe #ive spent the last 3 years of my life simplifying these forms to make it as easy and clear as possible for you #there is no fine print #its all clearly laid out #do the bare minimum #i beg you
