Hooked the touchscreen up today and got rasbian booted. With the new OS the screen rotation now does both displays and touch, a major quality of life improvement.

I want to build a flatpack stand for the keyboard and screen to act as a mini laptop in public, but will mostly use it in portrait mode as a tablet to test my code.

I'm moving my own goalposts closer and declaring Project Ara v0.1 complete. Now I get to just iterate and use it while removing the anxiety of this project being some much more complicated endeavor.

so project Ara-c3-d are a clone made of blood suspected to be of the original spider-man also mixed with a spider to like lower intelligence or something enhanced with the Vn-m enhancement made of stray Venom web

idea prompt i guess:

project Ara-c3-d pronouns that the subject are to be referred by [they/them]

the plan for project Ara-c3-d was to be an assassin that the [evil organisation here] (cant think of one =[ ) that made them

what they didn't think about was when they used a off shoot of the prototype Vn-m enhancement

that the clone would gain Consciousness and revolt on the first mission by and tearing out there own god damn heart to remove a tracker and has been in hiding for the past 2 months

how they lived unknown theory: the Vn-m enhancement replaced it with one of the targets they where sent to hunt but according to results this could be wrong

now the Vn-m enhancement is made from stray parts of the venom symbiotes webbing for the hope of enhancing the user's abilitys

from videos and news sights it seems that project Ara-c3-d has gained some of Venoms traits as short clips have shown a greenish black substance covering most of the upper body and heart area

they have #6a3cd3 eye's and are around 5 foot and quite ambiguous in shape

they are black (as in skin tone) but there left eye is full venom shaped but red instead of white

they are in a dark blue jumpsuit designed for agility but in some of the videos they have clothing over the jumpsuit

they dont care about gendered clothing as they have no clue what it is just if it help keep them warm

most of the upper left of there body is covered by a dark greenish black substance going down the arm along with it covering the heart area the most

also really know nothing about the world so are quite excitable when learning new stuff

they have a marking under there left pinkie finger to show what company made them

I'm so absolutely stoked to be a small part of the newest issue of Mahogany Journal. My creative nonfiction piece about food and family and grief is being featured in issue 5 titled Rojak, which is now out!

This was an incredibly personal piece to write, and a huge thank you to the editors at the journal for their help in refining it. It's also thought me a little more about my editing process, and I'm hopeful this will be a positive sign of things to come!

Do you write stories with familial relationships? Do you write about found or blood families more often? Are these relationships usually good or bad?

Hi Feathers!! Happy STS!

Familial relationships? Me? Oh god yes. Depends on the work whether the bonds are more by blood, or if they’re found family - but I definitely do both! Miadhachain Legacy is still a damn Gordian knot when it comes to families and bloodlines, and that's after I've pared it down over the years. (Things used to be really weird, sprawling, and gross there. Now they're more just weird and sprawling.) Talentless, on the other hand, has more of a found family bend to it - of course, due to world building reasons, there's not always a lot of blood-relations for some folks.

Whether the familial bonds are good or bad can depend entirely on the characters. ML, for example, has two characters who grew up in the same situation, but one of them is very connected to his family, and the other one is estranged from everyone but his brother. My messier representations usually tend to happen in the parent-child type bonds, rather than in the sibling type bonds, though. Not to say that it's all sunshine and rainbows where siblings are considered, but the challenges mostly appear in relationships with the parental figures.

No matter what, family dynamics usually have a significant role in anything I write though; it's probably because of how foundational family can be to shaping someone.
