Xenoblade 4 hint from Monolith Soft Recruitment page?

So Monolith Soft announced their RPG recruitment for a while back, and I'm surprised NOBODY has brought this up because I feel this RPG recruitment by Takahashi might give a hint about the project he's actually working on, and especially about the future of the Xenoblade series.

As you can see from the picture, there's a background with a simple gradient color. At first glance, it might not mean anything, right? BUT when you notice the colors of the gradient, they are strikingly similar to the Trinity Processor's color-coding. There's red (Ontos), green (Pneuma), and dark purple (Logos). There's also a hint of dark blue, but I'll elaborate on that later.

First, let’s start with the striking red. The red gradient bears a strong resemblance to Ontos’s core! The palette and gradient feel nearly identical, featuring that distinctive scarlet red with an orange-ish glow.

Next, we have the green, which closely matches Pneuma’s core. The shade leans toward a vibrant emerald green, making the similarity hard to ignore.

Finally, there’s Logos. This one is a bit trickier to spot because the purple is very dark, blending into the dark background and almost camouflaging itself. However, upon closer inspection, the hue is undeniably close to a deep purple, resembling Logos’s core.

Based on this picture, we can speculate that the "RPG" game Takahashi is developing might be Xenoblade 4. Could it focus on the Trinity Processor? It seems plausible, especially considering Takahashi’s comment in the XB3 artbook ~Aionios Moment~, where he mentioned that "he couldn't explain why Malos is in N's sword yet."

Among the Trinity Processor members in the Xenoblade trilogy, Logos is the only one who hasn’t had a game centered around him. Even Xenoblade 3 leaned heavily on Ontos and Pneuma’s stories.

There's also interesting color in the picture that you can see below, there's tiny hint of blue light

I wonder what this could mean. It might not be anything, but let’s take a wild guess.

From Monolith Soft’s 25th Anniversary video and the pictures of their office shared on Twitter, it’s strange how prominently they placed KOS-MOS in the spotlight. Sure, it could just be an homage to their first games, like Xenosaga, but it’s odd that they include KOS-MOS only and not other IPs.

I’m not suggesting we’ll get a Xenosaga remake or Episode 4. Given how Bandai Namco operates these days, that feels like a pipe dream. Contrary to what the fandom thinks, I don’t buy into the theory that Nintendo will buy the IP or fund remakes. That’s not how Nintendo typically operates, especially in their current situation. Plus, Xenosaga has blatant religious references (it literally has actual Jesus as a character & character recites freakin' bible scripture) no way Nintendo would touch that (as evidenced by how some religious references were omitted in Xenoblade 2 localization).

Now, back to the topic. I speculate that this “blue” connection might tie into the blue light falling to Earth in the ending of Future Redeemed (FR). I have a strong feeling that in XB4, we might see a character reminiscent of KOS-MOS 2.0 (basically akin to Saber face in Fates series), Monolith Soft might introduce a female character with blue hair, robotic traits, or a story/personality that nods to KOS-MOS. Alternatively, it could involve remnants of KOS-MOS, like her core or programming, reimagined as a weapon, relic, or machine central to the XB4 story.

If the leaks about Monolith Soft’s new game codenamed ''Project Legacy'' are true, this idea might fit perfectly with the potential XB4 theme: exploring the “legacy” of Klaus and his world. While the Klaus saga might be over, parts of his legacy—like the Trinity Processor and Origin—are still around. Origin especially feels like a magnet for conflict, practically begging for villains to emerge. Someone definitely want to control it.

Reminder FR hinted at space faring humans still existing in Klaus’s world—there are space colonies out there. In the Xeno series, the existence of Earth (a.k.a. Lost Jerusalem) has always been incredibly significant. The FR radio scene essentially confirms that XB’s world is connected to Lost Jerusalem, and the fact that it alludes to space faring humans is pretty important.

“What could this mean?” The next game might delve into the importance of the Conduit (I doubt the Conduit/Zohar is completely gone), space faring humans (!!!), and the Saviorite—artificial humans mentioned in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and FR (in Xenosaga, it's Realian). The Trinity Processor, Origin, and the mysterious blue light could all play major roles.

So many questions, but these things will definitely be highlights in the next game. I predict the villain might be from space—now that Earth is back, the humans in space might discover it sooner or later.

I’m also sure that Malos/Logos will play an important role! Logos is the only member of the Trinity Processor who hasn’t had his own game or a "human" partner to unlock his potential. The idea of seeing a Logos Ascended form a la Pneuma, possibly an alter ego for Logos/Malos and a Trinity Processor reunion? Gosh, it’s so exciting!  

Personally, I hope Xenoblade 4 is set thousands of years after the events of XB3. Frankly, I’d prefer that Mythra’s child doesn’t become the protagonist or even a relevant character, as it might undermine the message of XB3, IMO. Instead, they could establish Mythra’s child as a historical or influential figure—someone whose legacy or actions significantly impact the central conflict in XB4.

I think it would be more interesting if the protagonist of XB4 came from outer space rather than Earth. This could offer a fresh perspective on space faring human society, including their politics, culture, and way of life—something we know very little about. It would also be fascinating to see a protagonist experiencing cultural clashes or value conflicts with the people of Earth. Of course, Malos/Logos should play an important role, perhaps as the protagonist’s “Blade” or companion.

As for the protagonist's gender, I don't bother with it. If it’s a girl, I’d like her to be stoic—different from someone like Shion Xenosaga. Maybe she could be a researcher or an artificial human soldier. If it’s a boy, same with a girl but he's more mentally broken or menhera, to occurring joke that how Malos/Logos is always drawn to edgy, broken men in Japanese meme LOL.

I also want to see Pneuma as a potential antagonist or hostile entity. We’ve already seen other Trinity Processor members (Ontos-Alpha and Logos-Malos) become villain, but Pneuma has yet to take on an evil or antagonistic role. It would be intriguing to explore this side of her, especially since her philosophy and what she represents could make her the most cunning villain among her siblings—something akin to Miang from Xenogears.

Ultimately, I hope this game allows Takahashi to tell the story he’s been envisioning, maybe the ''imagined'' of Perfect Works Episode 6 or Xenosaga Episode 4. And hope we get chaos expy too!

“Oh,” she murmured, blinking at him. “That just… happened.”

So... as I said here, I recently had a Falcon movie marathon and without surprises, I came up with many ideas... a little too much in fact.

And, as you might have gathered from my continuously growing masterlist, there are times when something is so strong that I just need to scratch the itch.

That's what happened with what I'm going to call 'Project Legacy' until I find a better name for it. And I'm so hyped by it that I want to share everything glimpses with you. So here are some sneak peek from it.

The moonlight cast long shadows across the abandoned shipping yard, the distant hum of the city barely reaching the docks. Sam and Bucky moved in sync, scanning the area for signs of trouble. But instead of Flag Smashers, a lone figure emerged from the shadows. She stepped into the light casually, her posture unhurried yet commanding. Her blond hair was tied back, but a few loose strands framed her striking blue eyes. Her muscular frame spoke of discipline and strength, her presence radiating something both familiar and unsettling.

The shield cut through the air with perfect precision, ricocheting off a stack of crates before landing back in her grasp. She wielded it with an elegance and power that neither Sam nor Bucky had ever seen—not even from Steve. Bucky froze, his eyes narrowing. “How the hell…?” She tilted her head, flipping the shield in her hand. “What? Didn’t think Steve taught anyone else?”

“Name’s Rogers.” Her lips curved into a smile that was all too familiar, reminiscent of her father’s. “Just call me Ellie.” She tossed the shield back to him in a smooth motion. He caught it, eyes wide with surprise as she took a step back.

Sam raised an eyebrow at her. "So why now? Why show up, take the shield, fight us, and then toss it back? You could’ve just sent a letter.” Ellie crossed her arms, her stance eerily reminiscent of her father’s—feet planted firmly, chin tilted up. “Because Walker was a disaster,” she said bluntly. “A pretender, a scared little boy who tarnished the shield with every step. That man had no business being Captain America.” Bucky snorted. “Can’t argue with you there.”

Ellie’s expression softened, a hint of vulnerability slipping through her usual confidence. “Look, I’m not trying to take over here. I want you to succeed, Sam. My dad believed in you—he saw something in you that no one else did. I just… I need to know he was right.” Bucky studied her quietly for a moment before nodding. “Fair enough. But you’ve got to admit, this is a little weird for us. You’re Steve Rogers’ kid. That’s… a lot to process.” Ellie laughed softly. “Tell me about it. Try growing up with him as your dad. ‘Eat your veggies, Ellie. Do your homework, Ellie. Don’t punch the neighbor’s kid, Ellie.’” Sam snorted, shaking his head. “Yeah, that sounds about right.” She grinned, looking down at her hands. “But he was a good dad. A great dad. And he taught me everything I know. That’s why I’m here—to make sure his legacy stays intact.”

He wore sweatpants and a plain tank top that clung to his frame as he reached back, touching the fading bruise along his shoulder blade. His vibranium arm flexed with the movement, the metallic sheen catching the low light. Sam looked up from his spot on the couch, where he was scrolling aimlessly on his phone. “That’s a nice one. She get you with the shield?” Bucky gave him a flat look. “She got me with a kick. Shield came later.” Sam chuckled, shaking his head. “Girl’s got moves, I’ll give her that.” “Moves is one way to put it,” Bucky muttered, lowering himself into the recliner with a wince.

“She’s… so much like Steve,” Sam said quietly. “The way she moves, the way she talks, even the way she looks at you—like she’s already ten steps ahead. It’s like fighting alongside him all over again.” Bucky exhaled sharply through his nose. “Yeah. I noticed that too.” He rubbed a hand over his jaw. “It’s not just how she fights, though. It’s everything. The way she carries herself… that drive to do what’s right, no matter what it costs her.” Sam nodded slowly. “It’s almost like he’s here again.”

Ellie clenched her fists, her jaw tightening. “I’m fine.” “No, you’re not,” Sam pressed. “Come on, talk to us.” Her eyes flashed, and for a moment, the mask slipped. “I said I’m fine!” The outburst startled them both, but Sam didn’t back down. “Ellie, whatever this is, you don’t have to—” “I don’t have to what?” she interrupted, her voice rising. “I don’t have to hold it together? I don’t have to be strong? Because if I don’t, then what? What happens then?” Bucky stepped closer, his voice steady. “Ellie, we’re not here to fight you. We’re here to help.” She laughed bitterly, shaking her head. “Help? That’s rich. You think I don’t see it? The way you look at me?” She pointed between them, her hand trembling slightly. “Like I’m not even real. Like I’m just… just some shadow of him.” “Ellie, that’s not—” Sam started, but she cut him off. “Don’t lie to me,” she said, her voice cracking. Her fists clenched tighter, her knuckles white. “I see him every day too. Every mirror, every reflection… every goddamn shadow.” Her voice grew quieter but no less intense. “He’s everywhere. Haunting me.” Sam and Bucky stood frozen, the weight of her words settling over them.

“You notice how it feels… weird when she’s gone?” Sam said, his voice light, but the weight of his question hung in the air. Bucky didn’t respond right away. Instead, he pushed away from the window, crossing to the kitchen. He opened the fridge, pulled out a beer, and stared at it for a long moment before cracking it open. “Like somethin’s missin’,” he said finally, not looking at Sam. He took a slow sip, his gaze fixed on the countertop. “Yeah. I noticed.”

Their apartment door had barely closed behind her, and already, she missed the warmth of it. The familiar banter, the soft, easy laughter that always felt like home. Sam’s quick wit, Bucky’s dry humor. The way they looked at her, like she belonged there—like she was part of something she’d never had before. But that was the problem, wasn’t it? She sighed, her breath fogging in the crisp night air. It wasn’t just friendship anymore. Not for her.

Ellie sat cross-legged on the floor, chopsticks in hand, half-listening as she picked through her lo mein. The banter was familiar, comforting—a reminder of how well they worked together, how they always had each other’s backs. But tonight, something about it didn’t sit right. They kept talking, replaying the mission like they always did. Bucky mentioned the way she’d taken down two opponents at once, a small smirk tugging at his lips. Sam chimed in with a comment about her being “scary good,” raising his beer in mock salute. She barely reacted. Instead, her mind kept circling back to that moment—when Sam had thrown himself in harm’s way, and Bucky had followed without hesitation. She’d been too far away to help, locked in her own fight. For a heartbeat, she’d thought they weren’t going to make it. “It was a close call, though.”

💖 What is your primary writing goal for this year?

So my writing goal for this year is to finish a few stories XD

The first on the list is DevDes if that's not done before the first of January, then Sleepwalker and also Lucid Dreams.

🥕 What's one area of your writing that you think needs the most amount of improvement?

I'm always trying to improve and, so far, I have squished everything I didn't like in my writing. Of course I'm still finding stuff to perfect but the thing I really want to master is the 'show don't tell'.

Most of the time I feel like if I just describe things, emotions especialy, people may get confused and don't understand what I mean because they are not in my head.

So I would say perfect the 'show don't tell' in a way the readers get what is in my head XD

The thing I'm most excited to write is called Project Legacy for now and it's a Sam Wilson x OC x Bucky Barnes inspired by "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" tv show I rewatched this week 😅

Here's a little unedited WiP:

Sam stretched his shoulders, the shield strapped to his arm. “So, what exactly are we doing here, Coach?” Ellie stood with her arms crossed, her stance relaxed but commanding. She wore simple workout gear, her hair tied back in a no-nonsense ponytail. “You two are about to give me everything you’ve got. I need to see what I’m working with.” Bucky scoffed, rolling his neck. “We’re not exactly amateurs.” Ellie smirked, the faintest trace of Steve’s charm in her expression. “Oh, I know. But I need to see how you fight—how you think. Dad always said the shield isn’t just a weapon. It’s a responsibility. Let’s see if you’ve learned that yet, Sam.” Sam’s eyes narrowed. “And if I pass?” “Then we move on to the hard stuff.” Ellie’s smile turned sharper as she gestured toward the sparring ring. “But first, let’s start with something simple. Both of you—against me.” Bucky raised an eyebrow. “Both of us?” Ellie shrugged. “Unless you’re scared.” Sam and Bucky exchanged a glance. “Oh, she’s got jokes,” Sam muttered. They stepped into the ring, Bucky cracking his knuckles while Sam adjusted his grip on the shield. Ellie didn’t even flinch, her stance remaining loose, almost casual. “Any rules?” Sam asked. Ellie tilted her head. “Just one—don’t hold back. You won’t hurt me.” Bucky snorted. “Alright, don’t say we didn’t warn you.” The two men lunged at the same time, Bucky going high while Sam went low. Ellie moved like water, sidestepping Sam’s charge and deflecting Bucky’s punch with an effortless block. Her movements were precise, almost calculated, as if she could see their attacks coming before they made them. “Not bad,” she said, ducking under Bucky’s swing and sweeping his legs out from under him. He hit the ground with a grunt. Sam came at her from behind, the shield raised, but Ellie twisted at the last second, grabbing the edge and using his momentum to flip him over her shoulder. He landed on his back with a thud, the shield slipping from his grip. Ellie caught it midair, spinning it in her hand like it weighed nothing. “This is why I wanted to train you.” Bucky got back to his feet, brushing dirt off his pants. “Okay, so she’s good.” “Good?” Sam wheezed, getting back on his feet. “She’s terrifying.” Ellie chuckled, tossing the shield back to Sam. He caught it awkwardly, still trying to catch his breath. “Alright,” she said, crossing her arms. “That was the warm-up. Now we get serious.”
