Bridget Jones Diary Cover Inspired by Alexander Rodchenko
The project is inspired by famous graphic design and illustrators, my inspiration I received was Alexander Rodchenko. This designer is highly praised within the graphic world so when having this designer to work with I’m sure I was under the pressure to achieve the design that he in visioned. It was created with the use of different mediums such as paper cut from magazines and the background, to digital media. The project was not as successful as I would have liked, I would have liked to experiment more with mediums to achieve different effects but also the use of different cover so I can have a full understanding on how he creates his work.

Replacement Review - Private I
In looking over my cumulative class blogs, I realised the absence of my review of a previous year’s proposal.
Not sure what happened, it was all so long ago when I was new to Tumblr! Anyway, here’s a short replacement, attempted to be written from the perspective of someone who’s not just completed their own proposal.
 I chose, at random, PROJECT EXAMPLE 4 – Private-I.
It was both interesting and warming to know that people throughout the years, ours included, are so interested in making apps and games that are designed to both entertain and educate. We seem to collectively be saying that it is no longer enough to simply entertain, especially when this new medium is available to us, one which has the real capacity for change and social good. Improving people’s lives through fun and leisure is an opportunity we won’t ignore.
This right away was a positive for me when looking at Private-I. The National Trust and Historic Scotland are organisations near essential to the cultural growth of Scotland. Essential to maintaining and protecting the natural landscape, a task they can only succeed in with the help of the people, educated people.
Secondly, I found it interesting that it combines the real world with the virtual world. VR being something that this time around, so far, has not gone away and seems to be making real breakthroughs in becoming an everyday item in our lives.
The proposal was easy to read and easy to visualise. The use of simple, popular comparisons helps in this regard. For instance, game mechanics could be complicated with a limited number of words to explain, so saying “It’s like the classic board game, Guess Who but with…” is a simple shorthand way to help us understand how it will play.
Finally, that its primary target is younger people and people who love History, hopefully, through apps like this, that will eventually mean everybody!
I don’t have an iPhone though, so not me. 😊

PHOTOGRAPHY FOR WALL, PAGE AND SCREEN
Review of project ideas
After doing a series of photoshoot and them not turning out the way I hoped, and after looking at Aaditi Joshi’s work, I have decided that instead of creating a sculpture to photograph I am going to create a sculpture to exhibit in the gallery.
Build it for the gallery space rather than a shoot. That way I can be more creative and use a larger scale more realistic to the amount of plastic we use on a daily basis. 
I want to create a sculpture made out of plastic that resembles a shoal of fish in the ocean. I am going to use plastic that myself and my family use on a daily basis over the period of a month to show just how much single use plastic 4 people use in a month.

Project Review with Helen
In our project review Helen talked to us about various techniques that could be used to make our design sheets more visually interesting, for instance using more intense colour on some of the drawings and less intense on others creating the illusion some drawing were further ‘forward’ than others. She also suggested using lines and arrows to make the eye flow across the page rather than it being very disjointed and hard to see any ideas developing. The other recommendation was to draw into the images that i stick onto my larger sheets to create a more fluid ideas sheet.
