Ascribe to the Lord Glory
1 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
7 The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.
11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. — Psalm 29 | King James Version (KJV) The King James Version Bible is in the public domain. The Thundering Voice of the Lord (Psalm 29)
There is a power and a force above the chaos that can bring peace and confidence.
Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,    ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.Ascribe to the Lord the glory of his name;    worship the Lord in holy splendor. The voice of the Lord is over the waters;    the God of glory thunders,    the Lord, over mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful;    the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. PSALMS S.O.A.P. ~ PSALM 29
Tuesday, 8/29/23
SCRIPTURE:
Ascribe to the Lord,  O sons of the mighty,  Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.  Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name;  Worship the Lord in holy array. ~ Psalm 29:1-2
OBSERVATION:
It can be hard sometimes to publicly "ascribe" - give credit to - what the Lord's doing in and around me...
...especially with folks who know my stumbling and fumbling and see that as "proof" of my imperfections...
Yet He knows all my imperfections - even more than I do - even some I'm unaware of (or at least don't want to admit to myself)...
...and He still wants me to worship Him in "holy array" - proper dress...
...as only Jesus can "dress" me - forgiven and justified to stand before Him...
APPLICATION:
Give Him credit whenever and wherever possible...
Give Him glory...
Give Him thanks for His strength in my weaknesses...
Worship Him in Jesus's cleansing...
PRAYER:
Strong and glorious Father God - I ask forgiveness for saying all kinds of things, yet keeping quite quiet at times when I should give You all the credit for the events in my life... for reducing things I worried about to mere "nothings..." May Your Holy Spirit continue to urge me to recognize You at every opportunity, to give You praise for Your goodness and grace... In Jesus's Name, Father, and for Your worshipful praise...
For Him... for you... for yours... because of Him...

I think my entire life for the past two or three years can be summed up like this:
Me: I don’t understand.
God:
Me: Explain please?
God:
Me: Okay but can You please say something - anything - to me?
God: Yeah sure. Just kick back and relax. I got this.
Me: …Excuse?!

The Voice of the Lord in the Storm
A song of David.
1 Praise the Lord, you heavenly angels!    Praise the Lord’s glory and power. 2 Praise the Lord and honor his name!    Worship the Lord in all his holy beauty. 3 The Lord’s voice can be heard over the sea.    The voice of our glorious Lord God is like thunder over the great ocean. 4 The Lord’s voice is powerful.    It shows the Lord’s glory. 5 The Lord’s voice shatters great cedar trees.    The Lord breaks the great cedars of Lebanon. 6 He makes Lebanon shake like a young calf dancing.    Sirion trembles like a young bull jumping up and down. 7 The Lord’s voice cuts the air with flashes of lightning. 8 The Lord’s voice shakes the desert.    The desert of Kadesh trembles at the Lord’s voice. 9 The Lord’s voice frightens the deer.    He destroys the forests. In his temple everyone shouts, “Glory to God!”
10 The Lord ruled as king at the time of the flood,    and the Lord will rule as king forever. 11 May the Lord make his people strong.    May the Lord bless his people with peace. — Psalm 29 | Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) The Holy Bible; Easy-to-Read Version Copyright © 2006 by Bible League International. Won't He Do It
Psalms 144:1-2 There is only one strong, safe, and secure place for me; it’s in God alone who gives me strength for the battle. He’s my shelter of love and my fortress of faith, who wraps himself around me as a secure shield. I hide myself in this one who subdues enemies before me. Get A Kingdom Perspective Don’t quit. You are seeing things through the eyes of a worldly viewpoint. God is right…

I just finished A Psalm For the Wild Built...and I feel like I read this book at the right time. I relate to Sibling Dex a lot, and when they vented their frustrations towards the end I just kept thinking finally someone put everything I've been feeling since May into words.
I want to take Mosscap's words to heart. That it's okay to just live. To survive. We're already special because all the atoms rearranged themselves just right to make us, and that's enough.
Okay BRB I'm going to cry 😭😭
