Never posted my art publicly before, so this is a bit of an experiment for me. Social media is not really my jam. Tumblr feels like the most palatable option for now.

The thing is, I’ve got loads of Raven Cycle art hoarded in my sketchbooks—the characters are virtually the only things I’ve drawn in the last two and a half years—and with the graphic novel coming out soon, I’ve been feeling an urge to share!

the dream thieves is the most perfect book ever because adam and gansey are going through a divorce, blue is breaking up with adam, ronan lets go of his crush on gansey in favor of perusing his para-religious devotion to adam full time, kavinsky is obsessed with having a threesome with gansey and ronan and sends gansey a dick pic from ronan’s phone, gansey starts dating blue behind adam's back the second they're freshly divorced and adam and blue have broken up, ronan turns kavinsky down and as a reaction to that kavinsky kidnaps ronans brother and then kills himself in front of their whole group. everyone is completely unfazed by this except for gansey who seems to care a little bit which adam thinks is cute. it's also in this book that the hitman who killed ronan’s dad starts hitting on blue’s mom. sound off in the comments if you know of any other ya books similar to this

i could recite ronan's "was adam injured was he bored with ronan etcetera etcetera You're Always The Car Crash Ronan" monologue in my sleep and I've thought a lot about it since i read it but today i was thinking about how telling it is that it starts with "was adam injured?" like. ronan is going down a really shitty insecurity-driven rabbit hole and going through some really weird stuff kind of by himself and almost at all times he's the most likely of the two to be facing danger (as he's like. being persecuted by multiple people almost all throughout the series) but still his first worry is that adam could be in anyway hurt. that's always what comes first, his safety. and it's mutual too bc the same thing goes on with adam and Ohhhhhh fuck they love each other so much aaaaaaa

so we know that ronan helped adam move to st. agnes:

“adam, with probable help from ronan, moved from monmouth manufacturing to a room belonging to st. agnes church, a subtle distance that affected both boys in different ways”

but I feel so robbed of both the moving-in scene AND the sequence of events that had to happen for adam to even find out about st. agnes?? I’m envisioning the following:

ronan: throws a crumpled piece of paper at adam

ronan: hey shit head

adam: what the fuck???

ronan: runs into his room and slams the door

adam: opens the paper to find a listing for a room for rent at st. agnes

adam: what the fuck….

ronan, a few hours before: goes to the church to ask about the room, convinces/bribes them to rent it to adam, creates and prints (or dreams??) a semi-real looking listing, crumples it up so it doesn’t look new.

also…. “a subtle distance that affected both boys in different ways” like GIRL WHAT!!! the foreshadowing!!! these two have me in their clutches permanently
