I had WAY too many Happy Meals when I was in Chile and Argentina... 😅 (because the Chaos Theory toys aren't offered in the United States's McDonald's for some reason???)
#jurassic world chaos theory#mcdonalds#bumpy the ankylosaurus#There's an interactive AR dinosaur thing if you scan the QR code#There's only one McDonalds in Argentina that had the happy meal box with the characters on them...I brought the box all the way back 🤣#The character order is so funny. Every popular ship is not allowed#Also Brooklynn is NOT on there 😂😭#A bunch of McDonalds in Chile and Argentina saw a grown Asian woman freaking out over happy meal toys 😂#my photos

Are Sleep Token fans just extremely unlucky? Has Sumerian Comics ever fucked up this badly? I am genuinely curious, because everything that could go wrong has gone wrong for this pre order. There are people who still haven't received any shipping emails or tracking numbers, there is damage to the screenplay book, posters, and graphic novel itself (like they were carelessly handled before being packaged), many tier 3 orders are flat out missing the screenplay book, the QR code for the digital download leads to a 404 error page, and some people flat out never got a QR code at all.
... This is honesty starting to feel like some insane social experiment instead of a handful of unfortunate incidences.
#sleep token#teeth of god graphic novel#sleepanon rant#tog conspiracy edition#they've def fucked up the qr codes on purpose#to keep leaks from happening#while they take several months to ship the orders out#anyway!#i read the gn today at least#(“read” is a loose term iykyk)#i'll read the screenplay next#and then post my thoughts a bit later this week

tried a dc taco place, cheap, open late. they r out here inventing entire new processes for the term “kafkaesque” to be applied to
#you access the menu by: scanning a qr code; then completing a captcha and text verification; then selecting from three check setups;#then scanning the qr code on your partner’s phone if it’s the same check; then selecting which check your order is on#and ONLY THEN do you get to see the menu

(way too detailed) BOJANGLES REVIEW:
-am sad because tho there was a bojangles by my uncle's house, it was inside of some building i was too afraid to go into LOL so i ended up having to get it at the airport on the way home
-i ordered the chicken supreme, side of mac, and a boberry biscuit.......... i wanted to get everything spicy but since i was eating on the plane i didnt want to have an emergency in case it was TOO spicy or made my guts hurt. boo.
-mac and cheese was yummy but more in a homey way than a delicious way, if that makes sense? i like more salty/bitey macs but it did make me feel kinda nostalgic as it was nice and soft. so i liked that it was good and easy on my tummy (i ate that shit in like. 0.3 seconds too LOL)
-chicken was good! it was better than average even tho when i ate it, it was only kinda warm. but it had everything i liked, crunchy breading, soft chicken ... seasoned....
the only problem was the ranch was just like. average. and not cold. but i don't think that's personal or anything. i would've preferred mayo but. again. i was at an airport lol
i actually liked bj's a lot more than cane's lol. even tho it was just tenders and fries .. idk. i remember being like. w/e about canes
-fries were also good! i liked the cut a lot bc they weren't dry but weren't too thick, and were also really homey. A+
-biscuit = good. i'm not a biscuit expert tho so idk if it was better or worse than anything but i liked it :)
-as for the boberry biscuit... i still have it lol. i was too full to finish it yesterday so i just carried it around the whole day and still have to try it. i'm not really a sweet-snack type person but i'm hoping to at least have a bite eventually !!
AND THAT'S IT! thank u for reading if u did. no problem if you didn't bc i didnt expect this to be so long either LMFAO. i give bojangles.... 7.5 or 8 out of 10! the score would've been better had i not been forced to get it at an airport LOL <3
#no seriously tho cane's was such a disappointment#im feeling shy for some reason so idk what to say here#i saved the order sticker qr code thing and put it on my notebook LOL#i wish i could have it again#i miss the south already LOL someone adopt me#and i miss my uncles old *ss dogs#caitie blabs#caitie foods

one of the dining halls has been reworking its system basically non stop since school started which while very frustrating to me (who would like to know what hes eating on any given day) and the employees (who i assume would like to know what theyre preparing for the day), its very very funny to see someone try to change something and fucking up so badly they have to recalibrate one hundred times as a result
#it happened like started with a weekly menu you could order from via qr code -> started removing menu items -> removed the qr code and had#people order at the desk -> came up with a new weekly menu -> could not stick to the menu -> put in a taco station#-> turned the taco station into another weekly menu thing without the formalized weekly menu#-> formalized that weekly menu -> finally came up with a consistent menu for the first place -> today they changed one of the menu items.#lol. lmao.

Honestly I think the main reason technology isn't fun anymore is because we don't have a choice. It's like how people get tired of even their favorite food if it's the only thing they're allowed to eat; technology used to be A hobby that you COULD pick up if you wanted, A way to make friends, one of a million options for how to spend your day. Even people who were on Tumblr 24/7 were there by choice and knew they could be the type of person who's out at parties or on the beach or doing a book club instead of using the Internet if they wanted.
Now? Now there's nowhere to go. All the third places are gone and even physical stores or pay to enter places are shutting down. Talking to strangers might get you labelled a creepy freak or just plain annoying because how DARE you try to have a conversation with someone you don't know- none of us aren't used to that anymore and don't have places where that's socially acceptable, except maybe the k-12 years of school if you're still young.
People don't have any other activities to do or places to go, no friends to talk to, EXCEPT online. Now when you pick up a new video game or get into a new TV show or join a new discord server, it's not because you had unlimited options and wanted to do that. It's because you're basically stuck at home, paywalled in unless you have money to go to a concert or something. You want friends? Your only option is the internet. Entertainment? Also all internet and technology based options. You can't even apply for a job or sign up for a subscription service, or depending on the business- sometimes even order delivery- without screens or the internet, now. You're shackled to it.
It's hard to feel like you're having fun when you know you're being held against your will. It doesn't MATTER if I'm having a good time or not, I'd still have to spend half my time on my phone anyway. That's inherently less magical. It's an obligation.
And then of course the internet itself is also just riddled with monopolies and subscription services and ads and awful schemey big brother shit but there's tons of posts about that tbh.
#jenneca yaps#i can go to a physical restaurant or store and STILL have to get out my phone or use a touchscreen to order my food or browse my options.#everything has a fucking qr code

call me a radical but actually i think that having a phone shouldn't be a requirement to get food at any university location
#one of the dining places at my uni just started using reusable plastic containers#which would be cool if you weren't required to make an account w/ a 3rd party in order to rent the containers and show a qr code#and there is no alternative. so. if you don't have a phone (or even if you just forgot it or smth) you can't get food here#ALSO previously we were using biodegradable recycled cardboard containers which i am almost certain are better for the environment than#flimsy one-use plastic containers that will allegedly be reused (i highly doubt they will. if they plan on sanitizing and reusing these#why not just use plates/trays that are actually reusable and not going to fall apart after one use (plus that would eliminate the need for#a 3rd party to even be involved))#whatever. i'm hungry. i'm going to go give this company my phone number dob email and what university i attend#i'm sure nothing bad will come of this
