Vieux Québec and Quartier Petit Champlain.
Quebec (City) is one of the oldest European settlements in North America.
Much of the city's notable traditional architecture is located in Vieux-Québec (Old Quebec), within and below the fortifications. This area has a distinct European feel with its stone buildings and winding streets lined with shops and restaurants.
The Algonquian people had originally named the area Kébec, an Algonquin word meaning "where the river narrows", because the Saint Lawrence River narrows proximate to the promontory of Quebec and its Cape Diamant.

Quebec City: A Captivating Chronicle of a European Gem in the Heart of Canada
Tumblr media
Quebec City, a radiant, historical gem nestled in the bosom of Canada, offers an intoxicating blend of culture, gastronomical delights, and engaging activities. It's akin to stepping into a charming European enclave, sans the Atlantic crossing. Its cobblestone streets, 17th-century houses, and the iconic Château Frontenac majestically presiding over the city almost trick you into believing you've time-traveled into a charming French hamlet.
Time to Travel: The Best Seasons to Visit
Quebec City thrives throughout the year and the ideal time to visit depends largely on your preferences. The city is transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland during winters, perfect for those seeking snowy adventures. It's also when the city comes alive with the Carnaval de Québec - the world's biggest winter carnival. However, if you prefer milder temperatures, the radiant fall colors or the blooming summers might be more enticing.
Journey to the City: How to Reach
Quebec City is conveniently reachable via multiple transport modes. The most common way to arrive is via Jean Lesage International Airport, with numerous carriers serving major North American and European cities. It's a quick 20-minute taxi trip from the airport to the city center. Alternatively, comfortable intercity trains and buses connect Quebec City to Montreal and other major Canadian cities.

For art connoisseurs, a visit to the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec is indispensable.
Delightful Delicacies: Gastronomical Adventures
A culinary journey in Quebec City is a feast for the senses. Enjoy traditional French-Canadian dishes at Aux Anciens Canadiens, or indulge in innovative cuisine at Laurie Raphaël. Beauty and History: Sights, Tours, and Tips
A trip to Quebec City is incomplete without a Ferry ride across the St. Lawrence River, offering breathtaking city views. Guided tours provide insider insights into the city's rich history and hidden gems. Don't forget to explore the city's beautiful parks, including Battlefields Park and the Plains of Abraham.
Currency: Money Matters
While most establishments accept international credit cards, Canadian dollars come in handy for smaller outlets. ATMs are conveniently located around the city for easy access to cash.
Night Life: After Dark Adventures
Quebec City's nightlife is eclectic, with a plethora of live music venues, chic bars, and some of Canada's best craft breweries. Whether you seek a quiet evening or a vibrant night out, Quebec City will not disappoint.

The Best Places To Travel For Christmas 2022
Tumblr media
Christmas is one of the most important holidays in the world. Christmas is one of the most wonderful times of the year, with lights, Christmas cocktais, decorations and carols filling the air. It is a time for peace, family and love. The only thing that makes this holiday even more special is travelling! Traveling during Christmas means you will have to plan your trip well ahead of time as airlines (especially low-cost airlines) can fill up quickly. To help you plan your perfect Christmas holiday here are our picks of the best places to travel for Christmas 2022.
Maldives
Tumblr media
If your idea of the perfect Christmas getaway consists of sublime weather, luxurious accommodations and gorgeous scenery, look no further than the Maldives. When you're not swimming with tropical fish or sunbathing on white sand beaches, unwind with a spa treatment in an overwater bungalow. Several Maldivian resorts host Santa meet and greets, Christmas food markets and more in December to get you in the holiday spirit. Plus, many offer all-inclusive holiday packages to help you get the best value out of your getaway.
Jerusalem
Tumblr media
For a truly unforgettable vacation, visit Jerusalem this Christmas. An important pilgrimage destination, the Holy Land is especially busy during the holidays, so book your accommodations early. Families can get into the holiday spirit with a trip to Santa's House, a festive attraction complete with a cookie kitchen, a toy workshop and a mailing station. Then, pay a visit to the famous Western Wall in Jerusalem's Old City or head to nearby Bethlehem for Midnight Mass in Manger Square. Include modest clothing when packing your bags – layers that cover your knees and elbows are appropriate when touring Jerusalem's religious sites.
Quebec City
Tumblr media
Can't hop across the pond for a European holiday? This Canadian city is the next best thing. Come December, the quaint stone buildings and narrow, winding streets of Old Québec, outfitted with festive decorations and lights, inspire glee. Take your kids to meet Santa in the Quartier Petit Champlain, try seasonal German delicacies like gingerbread and mulled wine at the German Christmas Market or go ice skating at Place D'Youville.
Munich
Tumblr media
Located against the striking backdrop of the Bavarian Alps, Germany's third-largest city comes alive with Christmas spirit in December. Embrace the cold with a stroll around Marienplatz square, then warm up with a steaming mug of mulled wine at Munich's annual Christmas market. For an easy (and festive) way to tour the city, board the ChristkindlTram, a historic tram that takes visitors past some of Munich's most beautiful sights. Be sure to save time for a daytrip to beautiful Neuschwanstein Castle, which was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella castles at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.
Courchevel, France
Tumblr media
Courchevel’s Russian moment — when it became a byword for oligarch excess — is over. But that hasn’t dented its status as a gathering ground for the world’s superrich. Broad, easy-skiing pistes combine with Michelin-starred restaurants and five-star hotels to create the most luxurious of all ski resorts. Boxing Day to New Year’s Eve has the biggest social buzz: think champagne bars and perfect teeth, set against a razor-sharp mountain ridge.

Nous décidons d'aller voir le quartier du Petit Champlain la nuit alors nous traversons la ville. Tout est allumé, c'est très beau. Par contre, ils ne connaissent pas la sobriété énergétique ici.

Teshuvah Day 2: “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!” Now, it is the time to put back the trust to the Lord. We, most of the times, it is too ironic for us that we claiming that we trust the Lord and yet we don’t meant to trust Him wholeheartrdly and through doubting. Trust the Lord and everything that He can do, for we are prone to be weak and our failure to trust Him. Why we fail to trust the Lord, for He knows everything about us? We used to look for those things we need as our “source”, but we forgotten that the Father can supply everything, and even He can do the impossible! Let’s put it into our hearts that God can do everything, trust Him and come freely into His presence, recognize Him and say everything what’s inside our hearts and tell that we can’t do everything without Him. The only walled city north of Mexico, Old Québec was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.  Its rich history, landmarks, and culture make for a wonderful destination.  Retaining its colonial architecture for over 400 years, Old Québec is the birthplace of French North America. Marked by fortifications dating back to the 17th century, Old Quebec has several sites including Upper Town with its 1800s Citadelle fort, the grand Château Frontenac hotel and Terrasse Dufferin, a wide boardwalk overlooking the city. A funicular connects Lower Town and the Quartier Petit Champlain, with a 1688 stone church, Place Royale square and one of the oldest shopping streets in North America, Rue du Petit Champlain. 🗺Colonial Capital Tours ☎️ 800.334.3754 💻 www.ColonialCapitalTours.com 📧 [email protected] #studenttours #schooltrips #grouptours #educationaltours #fieldtrips #daytrips #classtrips #onedaytrips #studentgroups #schoolgroups #schoolgroupoutings #educationalstudenttours #nycdoevendor #seniortrips #multidaytrips #studenttrips #schoolprincipal #highschoolprincipal #hsprincipal #middleschoolprincipal #principal #nycprincipal #doevendor #oldquebec #quebeccity #canada #history #colonialcapitaltours
