Her relationship w/ Lifeline is shaky at best in the beginning, seeing as she is a living weapon, her very existence combats Lifeline’s pacifist beliefs. After abandoning the Decepticons, believing the war to be a lost cause, she finds and convinces Lifeline to take her in, working as a bodyguard and in-training nurse. They grow more comfortable w/ each other as time goes on, and Lifeline slowly dismantles her more functionalist beliefs

So I decided to look up Lifeline on TF Wiki, since I know that’s a character that exists but I don’t know what her deal is

So she’s a mint Arcee recolor, and she’s a medic. She’s apparently a vehement pacifist, to the point she feels bad patching up soldiers because they’ll just be sent back out to war. And also she has an assistant called Quickslinger who was formerly a soldier but later chose to become Lifeline’s assistant. Also Quickslinger is also a woman

Also it’s only SOMETIMES they’re organic— in the Headmasters cartoon, they were just really small transformers, but in the OG cartoon, they were organics. It really depends on the continuity!

Pointblank is the guy with the big ahh shoulders. His targetmaster partner is Peacemaker :)

here's an assortment of guys, some SNAP counterparts to AutoAca characters by @stonecrusherproductions, for part of an art trade

this isn't Hot Shot's first time off Caminus. he's gone on a few trips to Velocitron to see the races and even stopped by Devisiun once to visit family, but he's never been to Cybertron before! he's more interested in exploring the streets, hanging out with friends like Lightbright, or snacking on JaAm than completing homework, but he can usually speed through it at the last second. the JAAT is the perfect school in his mind, giving him extracurricular opportunities like sports so he can burn off some of his high energy. it's certainly a relief to his roommates Aileron, Stardrive, Quickstrike, and Maxima when he's no longer bouncing off the walls!

Lightbright is so excited, she's never left Caminus before, and oh isn't Cybertron lovely? what a wonderful school she gets to attend! and what delightful people she's gotten to befriend, like Sparkstalker! most of her roommates are lovely, but even she gets irritated by Sentinel sometimes. she's also fascinated by the heroes running around, and sometimes she and Hot Shot will procrastinate their work just to watch the supernatural drama unfolding. the only thing she's disappointed by is the lack of easy access to bodies of water, as she grew up near one of Caminus's seas and often took a relaxing swim in her submersible hovercraft alt mode

it's only a matter of time before Glyph tries camping out in the JAAT library again, despite how often Alpha Trion has chased her off before. her home in Polyhex never had this much information freely available to someone like her! when she first passed the exams, she agonized over whether she should attend the JAAT or elect to take part in an exchange program to a colony planet like her friends Lancer and Greenlight, but she's glad of her decision now. there's so much to learn here! it's easier to stick with data than meet new people thanks to her shyness around strangers. she'll even avoid her roommates Quickslinger, Sunder, Vortex, and Sceptre, but she thinks she can count fellow student Tap-Out as a friend now, probably?

Side Burn doesn't even remember taking the exams, but somebody told him he passed, so here he is! and wow, what a cool Academy this place is! it gets him a front row seat to awesome hero beatdowns and brawls, what's not to love? his grades have been, uh, bad, but that's fine, the counselor says he probably has some mental thing that makes it hard to focus, so it can't be his fault. he's too busy ogling all his gorgeous scarlet classmates to care about whatever the teachers are saying, no matter the fact they're offput by his juvenile antics and sometimes the odd look of his prosthetic left optic. while coming all the way from the Overdrive Compact in Rodion might be a bit disconcerting to most, to him it's just another place to rise and grind

(Lightbright has a tail but she's not a beastformer! tails are somewhat normal for mecha like four arms or a centaur body, i just realized i've forgotten to give them to anybody except beastformers... so uh. i'll try to remember in the future oops)

The basic premise is that Orion Pax and D-16 defect from their duties as mining bots and escape to Kaon, which is Iacon’s near-derelict sister city in this au. The only reason why Kaon isn’t fully in ruins is because the gladiator pits keeping it alive, just barely.

The au follows three plot lines; Pax and Dee’s in the Kaon pits, working up from nothing, Elita-1 and her dealing with the fallout of Dee and Pax leaving under her jurisdiction, and B-127 finding the final transmission from Alpha Trion and going to the surface on his own to maybe, just maybe, return as a hero.

Right now I’m really into Elita’s story line. The day after Dee and Pax leave, many of their coworkers immediately notice they’re missing, being that Pax is a very loud presence and therefore extending to Dee as his closest friend. She is reprimanded by Darkwing and demoted, seeing as Dee and Pax were working under her supervision, which makes her responsible over them (which technically isn’t true, but based off how her and Darkwing interact in the movie that’s how I’m taking this). She is then approached by Airachnid, then sent to Sentinel Prime unexpectedly. Sentinel offers her a one-time deal; find the two miner bots and deliver them back to him, and you get promoted in turn. Though confused as to why Sentinel of all bots knows of D-16 and Orion Pax’s disappearance, she is far too tempted and eventually accepts the deal.

She is sent out and traverses through Iacon to get an idea of where Dee and Pax may have went. In her journey, she befriends multiple other bots and makes some enemies too. I’m bringing back some little known characters for her, Lifeline and Quickslinger!! I’m very excited abt them. Lifeline is a former medic for the Kaon gladiators, and Quickslinger is a former gladiator herself. The two now work closely with each other, running a small medical practice on the edge of Kaon. I wanted to bring in some characters for Elita to interact with, and I thought it’d be cool to repurpose some canon characters with a small amount of information on them for me to play around with. Lifeline and Quickslinger are very dear to me

Bee’s plot line is super interesting to me as well!! At some point, he’s abducted by the High Guard and is somehow charming enough for them not to dispose of him on the spot. Soundwave is a little fond of him, Shockwave is annoyed most of the time with him but tolerant, and Starscream is generally indifferent but. He’s got smth going on. He’s plotting.

But yeah all three of the plots converge and the gang is pulled back together. The au keeps a lot of the same vibes as the movie, but yknow, with some obvious changes (Kaon’s entire existence namely). I’m gonna do some worldbuild-y stuff too regarding Kaon. I’m imagining it partially exposed to the surface of Cybertron, the crust eroding over time, a little bit of constant danger that comes with it.

I might even throw in some shippy stuff as well if I’m feeling it just for the funsies.

Daily female Transformers

Quickslinger! A gutsy warrior who wants to discard convention and tackle her challenges head-on! Also a great shot!

She was first introduced in the Cybertron comics. She's mentioned in the Allspark Almanac II as being in the same class as Hot Rod and Blaster and, in Of Masters and Mayhem, abandoned the war and works with Lifeline!

Her Of Masters and Mayhem design is my favorite!

I know I’ve probably said this before, but I’d like to see another Transformers series have a main Autobot medic that isn’t Ratchet

Like yeah, Ratchet’s not bad, even if I admit I personally think he shows up too often, but I’d like to see other medics and their perspectives, how they differ in their role from him

It’s not like Ratchet’s the only one, I know there’s others outside of him. I know there’s First Aid, Lifeline, Ambulon (but I also don’t know anything about him), and presumably others (I don’t know where Pharma fits, if he’s eligible for the role). And hell, Lifeline comes packaged with a former soldier turned medical assistant in Quickslinger, that itself would be another interesting thing to explore

I don’t know, I’d just like to see someone else and what they’d be like

I mean technically Earthspark has that with Wheeljack I think? But like, Wheeljack’s the engineer and I think he’s only filling the role becomes he’s the closest to that position, and similar goes with Nightshade; they’re not the medic, just the closest equivalent. So I don’t really count it
